Azearl laid down on top of the warm sand for a moment, she was a bit tired from the travel here but she had decided to come alone, not because she didn't want to be with her teammates she just wanted to sort a few things out in her own mind. Azeral took a deep breath and let the air out, her mind was almost on overdrive thinking about all the things that could of gone wrong with her friends plan, but in the end he was happy, happier then he'd ever been during that event, so maybe it was for the best in the end. "Who knows." Azeral mumbled out feeling the heat from the sun beating down, her cloak blocked most of the sun and sand, though wearing a entire black cloak wasn't her smartest plan ever.

Azeral got back up and took the cloak off, it had been quite some time since she hadn't worn it in a dungeon but this could be taken in special consideration, it was hot as hell. "I got to find some Pokemon with an ability to help me deal with the desert." Azeral mumbled out, while she didn't hate the heat, mostly because of her teacher she still felt that would serve a tactical advantage or something. Azeral stuffed the cloak into her explorer bag and started walking.

[Energy: 22 - 16 (Entrance Cost) = 6]
[Exclusive Item: White Silk (Reduces the cost of every other Pokemon rolled by 1)]

Well, this is Scorchfall Desert, eh? Pilot thought to himself, gliding several meters above the sea of sand. Haha, sounds dangerous. I love it! Grinning, the bird continued to fly overhead, searching for any enemies to take on. After training against grass and bug type forest creatures for so long, it would be interesting to finally switch things up. He knew that rock types would be particularly challenging, but he wasn't worried. After all, he was smarter than those dumb ferals, right? Taking them out wouldn't be a problem.

If anything would be a problem, it would be the temperature. Already, Pilot was breaking into a sweat. It probably didn't help that he was cloaked in a White Silk was wearing a Joy Ribbon, but he wasn't about to take them off. He would rather pass out due to heat exhaustion than look bad.

In the distance, the Taillow saw a lone figure sitting atop a huge sand dune. What is that? He asked himself, tilting his head. It definitely doesn't look like it's from around here. Pilot curiously fluttered over to the Pokemon, and landed a few feet away from it. "Yo, how's it going?" The bird chirped, his beak forming a smile.

The Ralts stopped sensing the emotions of something nearby, she ignored what the Pokemon was feeling at the moment since it didn't seem angry and that was normally her goto warning sign of something bad to come. Azeral paused and looked at the Pokemon a few feet away from her, it seemed friendly enough plus it was wearing something which was normally the tell that something wasn't a feral.

"Hi, and It's going well I suppose." Azeral said thinking that term was most likely meaning how was she doing, it didn't sound that much like it but she was fine with being wrong. "What about you?" Azeral returned the question and even returned the smile, quite the surprise to see someone not feral in a dungeon.

"I'm doing pretty well~," Pilot replied in a song-like tone, looking around. The chances of him finding another traveler in such a barren place were probably slim to none, but it seemed as if he had gotten lucky this time. The Taillow was glad that he wouldn't have to traverse the entire desert alone; that would've been pretty boring! Next time, he knew that he would have to bring a companion along. Perhaps he could bring Mim. She was from the desert, right?

Finally snapping back into reality, the avian Pokemon realized that he hadn't introduced himself yet. "Name's Pilot, what yours?" He asked, quizzically tilting his head. Hopefully this Ralts would come along with him. If she didn't, it was going to be a long day...

"That's good." Azeral replied, she wondered why he had decided to travel the desert but remembered a previous engagement and refrained from doing so, last few times she got hostile responses so she'd try and be a bit more careful. Azeral seemed to snap back to reality at the same moment the newcomer did, this was lucky as she wouldn't of listened to the name otherwise.

"My name is Azeral, nice to meet you Pilot." Azeral replied wondering what else to say, she decided to wait for Pilot to say talk next seeing as she didn't want to assume he was going to travel, he did seem to be a flying type for all she knew he could of just been flying overhead and stopped to say hello.

"Cool, uh... You're passing through here too, right? We might as well go together," Pilot suggested, not because he thought he would need Azeral's help to get through the dungeon, but rather because he wanted to have someone to talk to. It would take hours to clear the huge desert, and going through alone would be pretty miserable. And, if the place was as desolate as he thought it was, boring too. Even from up in the sky, Pilot had seen no signs of any life. So much for training against new types of enemies...

Even if he didn't get the training he wanted, he could still brag to his team about how he had gone through Scorchfall Desert. The dungeon had a reputation for being extremely dangerous, so managing to get through could be seen as an accomplishment, unlike all of the relatively "easy" forest dungeons he had conquered.

Azeral mentally sighed, she was glad this random stranger didn't want to just be left alone or got defensive about everything, seems like the only ones she had been getting lately are like that. "Alright sure, the more the merrier." Azeral said with a smile, she was glad she got someone to come along, she almost wished she brought Joey along but she couldn't drag him everywhere with her, even though he seemed more then happy to follow her everywhere.

Azeral turned around a little, she couldn't help but feel a bit on edge even just standing here. Any enemy could just be hiding in the sand and she'd only have a slight feel on their emotions before then jumped out and surprised her, Noel had been the one to tell her about that it was not good. "Well, lets go." Azeral said and started walking farther into the dungeon.

[Energy: 6 - 7 (Roll Results) = 0)

Pilot grinned, eagerly hopping down the sand dune, trying to take the lead. Once at the bottom, the bird impatiently looked up at his new travel companion. C'mon, I want to find something to fight! He zealously thought, looking around to see if there were any wild Pokemon in the area. Just as he had discovered before, it appeared that the sandy wasteland was completely void of life. Unbeknownst to him, however, Scorchfall Desert was home to many varieties of Pokemon, but they seldom roamed in plain sight. Most of the ferals here spent the day hiding in the sand or burrowed underground until night fell. If Pilot wasn't careful, an enemy could easily take him by surprise. It was only a matter of time before that moment came...

...But that moment wouldn't come just yet. Before any wild Pokemon could formulate a plan to ambush him, the impulsive bird was distracted by a shiny object in the distance. Pilot instinctively darted over, and dug the item out of the ground. It appeared to be a CD of some sort. What is this, a TM? The avian Pokemon asked himself, dusting the sand off of the lustrous object. He had heard about them from his father, but had never actually seen one himself. Hopefully it has a good move! But even if it doesn't, I think I can still get some Poke for it. I should probably get it appraised later, Pilot told himself, sliding the TM into his bag and looking back at Azeral.

Azeral saw Pilot rush off to grab something some distance away, she decided to walk with him seeing that was the way to go. But before she could do any of that something from below grabbed the small Ralts and dragged her into the sand. Azeral let out a small cry before sinking into the sand below. Azeral would normally be more worried however she knew how to teleport, which was always handy. Within the sand flashed a green light and suddenly Azeral and the one who grabbed her were above the area she was originally, only a few feet up. Azeral looked down at the, what she now knew was, Sandshrew and pointed her arm at it.

Azeral paused for just a moment before sending a psychic wave right at the Pokemon knocking it back into the sand. Azeral then landed on the Pokemon though her small body didn't provide much impact she was sure that still didn't feel good. Azeral jumped off the ground type and fired one more attack effectively knocking it out with super effective strikes. "Well then, guess I should be more careful about the ground." Azeral mumbled out looking back up at Pilot.

Pilot blinked, confused as to why Azeral was mumbling to herself. He had been too distracted by the TM to even notice her little quarrel with the Sandshrew. "Yo Az-" The bird started, taking a step forward. As soon as his talon touched the ground in front of him, an audible click could be heard, and the sand underneath him exploded.

Pilot was sent flying from the blast, landing on the soft sand about ten seconds later. Luckily, his fall had been cushioned, but the explosion had still done significant damage. His head felt kinda fuzzy, his lower body had been singed, and all he could hear was a constant ringing noise. “WHAT JUST HAPPENED?” The bird squawked, unable to hear the sound of his voice over the piercing sound of a ruptured eardrum.
