As the Blitzle looked about his surroundings, he saw pecha berries everywhere. The black and white striped pokemon thought to himself It should be fairly easy to restock my food supply and then I'll be on my way. Maybe I'll find something rare here. Trotting deeper into the forest Bolt saw a few pokemon eating delectable pecha berries. Mmm, peach berries my favorite.
He started to remember when his sister and him would eat peach berries together under a berry tree. My sister... my dead sister.... At that thought he started to feel his mood drop, so he decided to take a break exploring and sat under a pecha tree, clearly depressed. As he thought of his little sister, his energetic little sister, he swelled up in tears. Trying to shake off the sadness he got up and looked around for items or anything that might help him in his journey.

Alright, Delta. You can do this... Do it for your brother. Yeah, maybe if I imagine that he's on the other side of the dungeon, that'll help me get through, A certain asthmatic water otter thought to herself, staring at the dirt path that eventually lead to Pecha Forest. She sighed in frustration, and violently kicked a pebble to the side. No, that's just stupid. He said he's not coming back for a long time, so why should I keep thinking about him? It'd just distract me. I need to keep a level head, and focus on not getting poisoned. Maybe I'll have a chance if I can avoid those stupid Nidorinos... And just about everything else.
Her last excursion to the dungeon had yielded the same result as almost all of her other attempts to get through: immediate defeat. The sea mammal had an obvious handicap in her breathing problems, which made it hard enough to actually get to Pecha, much less fight any feral Pokemon. In fact, on several occasions, she had passed out before even reaching the sweet-smelling forest!
Not this time, Delta told herself as she started down the road. I'm finally going to get through that stupid place. And then I'll write to my brother about it. He'll be so proud of me! Sure, it's not like that'll automatically make me as strong as him, but... It's a start.
As she went further down the path, Delta could feel herself suffering from the effects of her illness. Her breathing was getting shallower, and she could feel her breathing canal narrowing. She probably sounded like a parched Growlithe panting like she did. In spite of her worsening condition, she pressed on.
Eventually, the sickly Oshawott made it to her destination. Delta marched into the Pecha plant grove, sure to attract the attention of anyone nearby with her constant wheezing.

I need to stop getting down on myself, it's not like it will help in anyway, Bolt thought to himself as he pushed memories of his sister away. It could be hard to forget about someone you loved, especially one that you used to spend almost every day with.
The electrified pokemon started to hear wheezing, and decided to find out where it was coming from. As he followed the sound, soon to find an oshawott wheezing. He decided to check if the sickly oshawott was alright, approaching it carefully, not wanting to startle the poor thing. "Umm, hey, are you alright? You just seem to be ill, or something." Immediately thoughts of his sister came rushing back to him after he said that. In that moment he started to cry.

| As Delta made her way into the dungeon, she heard a voice raise over the sound of her coughing. Oh great, another Pokemon, She bitterly thought to herself, rolling her eyes and and reluctantly coming to a stop. That's exactly what I needed. Another moron to come along and tell me that I'm sick... How stupid do they think I am? It doesn't take a fucking detective to figure that out.
The young Oshawott let out a pained sigh, and turned around to face her tormentor. "I don't need your pity," She simply told the Bliztle in her nasal voice, suppressing a cough to hide her poor health. The last thing she needed was another Pokemon telling her that she needed to go home and see a doctor. As if any of those butchers at the Grassveil Medical Center could actually help her... Delta shuddered at the thought of ever going back to the hospital.
It seemed like every stranger that passed by made a point to stop her and ask if she was alright... It was insulting, in her mind, as if she couldn't handle herself. Why were they all so intent on making her feel weak and powerless? And what did they honestly think that saying these things would achieve? Asking her if she was "alright" certainly wouldn't cure her ailments.

| The blitzle was too caught up in his own emotions to have heard her. Instead his memories gave way to when his sister was very ill, he remembered it like it was yesterday. The pain, the worry, every moment of those days he remembered, it was a nightmare reliving those moments again. Why did she have to get ill? Why?! It wasn't her fault, she didn't do anything he thought bitterly.
A stream of tears ran from his face as he said to himself, "Why, why did she get sick, it wasn't her fault...." The stream of tears gradually started shrink in size, until it stopped completely. Exhausted from crying, Bolt slumped to the ground as one last tear fell before he closed his eyes.

| Delta's eyes widened slightly when she realized that the Blitzle was crying. She stood still for a few moments, completely unsure of what to do. The Oshawott had never been in a situation like this... Sure, many Pokemon felt bad for her, but they never felt the need to sob like a child in front of her! "Hey, stop whining. I'm fine," She told the electric Pokemon, hoping that this would shut him up.
It didn't. In fact, it was as if the Blitzle hadn't heard her at all! He had an oddly distance expression on his face, as if in a completely different world than her... He began to speak shortly after she did, saying that it "wasn't her fault". Delta waddled closer to him, crossing her arms when he sat down. Why was he referring to her in the third person? Who was he speaking to, Arceus? The cynical Pokemon stifled a chuckle, finding the concept of a disembodied god Pokemon to be quite ridiculous.
"Listen, if you're gonna keep crying over me, go for it..." Delta started, wheezing after finishing her sentence. She quickly attempted to regain her composure. The otter cleared her throat, and continued. "...B-but I'm not just gonna stand here and watch you do it," She stated dryly, and then started to walk away.

| When Bolt could cry no longer, the memories started to fade away. Glad of this he started to pushed them to the back of his mind. Bolt heard someone say something about crying over her, slowly opening his eyes to see a pokémon walking away. Realizing what he had done "I-I'm sorry, I wasn't talking about you," he sorrily spoke. Taking a deep breath, he started to calm down. Sighing "I guess I lost control of my emotions for a bit...."
Catching up to the otter, he tried to change the subject, maybe get to know her a little. "So what's your name?" It's been forever since I've seen someone that isn't a feral, it's kinda nice. Let's just hope this doesn't go the wrong way. Taking in everything about her, the zebra noticed their was a scalp on her stomach. Wonder what that''s for, maybe it's some kind of defense? He'd never seen an oshawott before, so he was curious about this species. Maybe she was a water-type, or a fighting type, or something else? Whatever she was, Bolt wanted to get to know her.

| Delta stopped in her tracks when the Blitzle apologized for losing control of his emotions. Yeah, you'd better be sorry, The asthmatic otter thought to herself, huffing. That was really awkward... If he cries again, I'm ditching him. She turned around to face him as he caught up with her, sighing in annoyance when he asked for her name. "It's Delta," The Oshawott replied, placing her paws on her hips. Of course, it would be common courtesy to ask him for an introduction as well, but... She honestly didn't care about his name. Surely, he'd tell her anyways.
The observant Pokemon couldn't help but notice that her annoying acquaintance was staring at her midsection. The hell are you looking at? She thought, narrowing her eyes at the electric type. Delta wasn't going to say anything, but... For whatever reason, this ticked her off. Obviously, he wasn't looking at her in an objectifying way, but the staring still made her feel a bit uncomfortable.

| Bolt heard the name he replied "That's a unique name, I've never heard it before. Then again I haven't really met a lot of pokémon." Not wanting it to seem like he was stupid, he didn't ask what she was. Guessing is enough for now, i guess. Don't want to seem blank to Delta, I'm sure I'll find out sometime. "By the way I'm Bolt," he neighed as soon as he realized he didn't say his name. He quickly looked away from the scalp, as it must be weird to her. Delta looked like she was ticked off, so the electric type decided to focus on the forest around him. Looking around the forest for items, all that he saw were some pecha berries in the trees. Finding items is going to be harder than I thought. At least I have someone to enjoy this forest with me, right?- funnylollipop1 carried out 2 launched of one Pecha Forest :

Bolt, huh? What a generic name for an Electric type... His parents must've been pretty uncreative, Delta quietly thought to herself, snickering at her own joke. Of course, she wasn't going to say that to the Blitzle's face. After all, he was an electric type. Piss him off, and she wouldn't get very far into Pecha Forest at all. As much as she didn't want to admit it, the sickly Oshawott probably couldn't even hold her own against a lowly fire type in her current state... In that respect, it was probably good that Bolt was around; he could protect her if anything went wrong.
Still, Delta couldn't say that she wasn't at least a little annoyed that the Blitzle was going to follow her. Already, she could tell that he was the chippy, emotional type... Probably her least favorite type of Pokemon to be around. Hopefully he won't talk too much, She mused, sighing. But... After that little emotional breakdown, he's bound to tell me about who he was crying for. It'll come up eventually, so we might as well get it out of the way...
Delta cleared her throat, and decided to speak up. "So... If you weren't talking about me, then who were you talking about?" She asked, crossing her arms and looking up at Bolt with an indifferent expression.

When Delta asked who he was crying about, Bolt was surprised. After all, she didn't really seem like the type to ask questions about these things. Should I tell her? Didn't think she would ask, I mean I only just met Delta.... And I'd rather keep this to myself. But, if we are going to be friends she has to know at some point so why not now? After he pondered whether or not to tell her, the zebra decided that he should. "I-I wasn't going to tell you, but since you asked I guess I should. M-my sister died from an illness not very long ago. That was the reason I left h-home, everything there reminded me of her," wincing as he stumbled over some words.
Trying to stop this conversation he looked around for an item or such. Maybe she will drop the subject, I don't really want to talk about this anymore. Spotting something pink under a bush, Bolt trotted over and saw it was a pink gummi. Carefully picking it up, he went up to Delta and asked "Hey, do you want this gummi? I just found it, and you're happy to have it if you want."

Delta swore under her breath when Bolt told her that he wasn't originally intending to tell her about his dead sister. If I knew that you were finally going to shut up, I wouldn't have asked, She thought, almost growling at the Blitzle. Luckily, she was able to show some restraint, and actually looked like she felt sorry for the equine. A small frown appeared on her face, notable considering how most of the time, her facial expression was indifferent.
For a moment, Delta imagined what it would be like if her brother passed away... Just as she began to feel an ounce of sympathy for her irritating travel partner, she disposed of the thought, cursing at herself for going soft. Remember what Father says... Emotions are for the weak. Trust your mind, not your heart.
"Oh, well... That's not good," Delta told Bolt, aware that she had probably just made the understatement of the year. She wasn't exactly sure how to respond to his tragic story without sounding completely insensitive. "Sorry," She added, and left it at that. Not much else she could say. Hopefully, they would either stop talking or change subjects.
After a brief awkward silence, Bolt approached a bush, pulled out a Pink Gummi, and offered it to Delta in what seemed to her as yet another display of condescending condolence. Or, even worse, chivalry. "No, I don't need your stupid pity gift," She shot back, a hint of venom present in her voice.

As Bolt waited to know if Delta wanted the pink gummi or not, he thought about what she said about his little sister. Guess she doesn't know to respond. Can't blame her, it's probably never happened to her before. I'm glad that it hasn't happened to Delta
Though he did not take her comment about his "stupid pity gift" as kindly. Bolt retorted back "I just thought you might like it. Didn't realize you didn't like Pokemon being nice to you." immediate regret came from that, you could clearly see it in the zebra's eyes. A lot of Pokemon must take pity on her, I didn't think of it like that. She must think I'm doing the same thing, better tell her that I wasn't taking pity on her. "Sorry that I lost my temper, I didn't think how Pokemon must take pity on you all the time. I'll just keep the gummi."
Placing the gummi carefully in his lightning bolt buttoned bag, he started to wander around the forest a little more, but never straying far from Delta. Spotting a seed the electric type quickly examined it, and decreed to himself that it was a swift seed. Knowing that he shouldn't offer it to Delta he simply dropped into his bag. Trotting back to Delta he started to walk beside her again.

| Delta narrowed her eyes at Bolt as he began his retort, honestly a bit surprised that he had the gall to say anything back to her. However, before she could respond to his bitter comment, he seemed to show considerable remorse for what he said. Rather than crafting a snide reply, Delta decided to just drop it entirely and act as if he hadn't said anything. He seems to have a bit of a temper, She noted, sighing deeply. "It's fine..."
Interestingly enough, the Blitzle seemed to understand the reason why she didn't appreciate the charity of those who felt bad for her, a concept that not many outside her family could ever grasp. She didn't want help from others; what she wanted was to be left alone. I can handle myself, The chronic asthmatic would often say to her "tormentors".
Delta, absorbed in her thoughts, continued to walk alongside her temporary travel companion, not saying anything. She zoned back into reality when she heard a loud rustling sound coming from the bushes... Something was nearby, waiting for an opportunity to strike. "Uh... Bolt? I think there's a feral over there," Delta informed the Blitzle, pointing in the direction of the noise.

Walking next to Delta, Bolt had some thoughts of his own. I wish Flame was here, hope he's ok. What would have happened if he came along with me, would I have even met Delta? Maybe, but I doubt we would have tagged along with her. It's nice to have company....
Lost in thought, the zebra didn't notice the bush rustling. Only when Delta pointed it out to him did he snap out of his train of thoughts. He quickly got into a battle stance, ready to use double kick if it was a feral. "Lets hope it isn't one, but if it is we're going to have to battle it." Waiting for the feral to show itself, Bolt got ready to protect Delta if he had to, but he hoped it didn't come to that.
