The Cold Shoulder

"Well...this was a bad idea." Nate muttered as he stumbled into the much cooler cave, moving against the wall as he took a breather. Not having been doing much else, he had decided to go check out the desert. Not that he didn't want to participate in the team he had just joined, but he had the feeling he wasn't exactly a top notch member of it. Letting them take care of some stuff without any trouble from him while at the same time getting stronger himself seemed like a good idea. What wasn't a good idea was going to the desert. Despite the fact that it was known for being hot, like most deserts would be of course in his mind, he hadn't seen much problem in going. He just underestimated how hot it would be, which was how he now found himself seeking shelter in the cave. Honestly? This could have gone better. Hopefully nothing else really comes along and screws stuff up. Of course what else would happen though? With my luck that's probably it. He thought to himself.

"Yeah, I guess you'll never forget about this little outing will you? You know, if you ever want any advice on where to go I've spent my time traveling around quite a bit. Maybe I can give you some traveling tips." Nate suggested, climbing off of Crysel's back and onto they ground, looking around at the area and smirking slightly at Keyami's antics.
"We made it..." He muttered, chuckling to himself.

Keyami had occupied the minutes in which Crysel and Nate climbed out of the cave by kissing the ground repeatedly. At the current time, he was stroking the sandy ground with open paws. "Oh sweet, desert-y biome. I shall never again betray you by retreating from your warm embrace within the arms of another." He shot a look at the cave. "Never, ever, ever, ever," he murmured. He sat up abruptly. "Welp, it was nice knowing you. Holla!" With that ever-so-intelligent remark, the Meowth waved and walked off to god knows where.

Crysel sighed and stood, brushing herself off. Well... I will not be returning here anytime soon. A volcano in the middle of the desert? I didn't even know that was possible, much less I'd be climbing up the inside of one." She turned to Nate. "I'l going somewhere cooler. Somewhere I won't be killing myself in. You... might want to look after that weird one, maybe steer him somewhere safe. So long."

And so Crysel was off to a place hotter than the desert to meet a big red idiot, get hit in the head, and lose her memory. Clearly Arceus hated this Sneasel.

"What, you didn't expect a burning hot volcano in the warmest place around here I know of?" Nate questioned rhetorically, chuckling as he watched Keyami walk off.
"Somehow he's managed to get himself around the area. I have no idea if it's just dumb luck or if he's got some unknown skills. Either way, he's taken care of. I'm not much good in the caretaker position anyways." The Pikachu stood up, yawning slightly and nodding his head to Crysel.
"You have fun with that, I think I'm going to head back home. As much fun as this was." He laughed, looking around at the area and taking a few steps away, heading out towards the desert.
