It was beautiful. After Revira had emerged into that other world, all she had seen up to now were things she wouldn't even have thought of as possible before. Crime. Pollution. Hatred. The show Johto Shore.
After all those horrifying things she had finally reached a calm, clean place again. An underwater forest, full of corals of every imaginable kind. In the distance, some Pokémon were swimming, although Revira couldn't figure out, who or what they were.
Maybe she should approach them? They might know, what had happened to turn this world into what it was now. Maybe Revira could fix it.
But how? She didn't even know much about this world at all.
A world, that had never been discovered by anyone before her and those few others, who ventured out as well. Maybe she could become a hero and save this world!

Apple? While Revira had no idea, what that word meant, she decided not to ask her friend about its meaning, so he could focus on both the path they had to take and their game. It was extraordinary, that Proteus kept using short words, so the Omanyte reasoned, that he was too busy trying to find the correct path through these corals and to that dungeon to think of longer words. Still, Revira could concentrate, so she thought of the word:
"Ecdemomania, an abnormal devotion to wandering."
The simple fact, that such a condition actually existed, was fascinating. How would life be like with it? Could it be cured? And if not, could Revira find a way to cure it in this world? Once again the thought of becoming a hero entered her mind. There were so many possibilities to become famous here! Where should she start?

Proteus thought for a moment of words that started with "A" once more.
"Axew" He spoke, recalling the stories he had heard from his school of ferocious beats by the name of Axews that eat everything that moved with their large ax like jaws. The golden fish stopped for a moment when he spotted something shiny not to far away. He swam over to it and found that it was some item contained in a bottle. The bottle was smashed in so it was easy to get the item. The magikarp was also surprised when something decided that he should not have that item and rammed into him.

This time the Omanyte's curiosity was piqued.
"Ax-who? I've never heard of such a thing before. This world is so interesting!"
Just as she had finished speaking this sentence, Revira was rudely interrupted as a strange creature the Rock type had never seen before decided to be a meanie and attacked her friend! This world really needed help! Determined to continue their game, the surprised Revira struggled to find a word that began with the letter "W".
"Worsification, the composition of poetry of low quality and-slash-or value!"
While her mind might be quick in regards to finding words, it wasn't a quick one in regards to fighting at all. In her world this thing was unknown after all! What could she do?

The pink figure tossed one of its spikes, corsola spike, at the magikarp. Proteus swam away from the Corsola, who had decided to turn to attack the Omanyte, "No!" Proteus said, he did not realize that his word would also be eligible to be mistaken as a word for the game. He charged towards the corsola with a fairly weak Flail attack, that did not do much damage considering Proteus was barely damaged.

"Obscurantism, the policy of with-umph-holding information to the general public!"
Even though the strange plant-stone-Pokémon something - Cor-something, wasn't it? - had attacked her with a Bubble attack, the Omanyte refused to stop the game. Now her ability for multitasking would be tested. Fighting and wordplay - could she do it?
Now what could she do...the Cor-something looked spiky, so she didn't want to try holding it. Maybe another attack would be more useful.
Concentrating, Revira summoned beams of light of all colours of the rainbow, which fised together in front of her in a sphere of icy light. From this sphere an equally icy beam was launched, aimed directly at her attacker. As she had rarely used it, her Aurora Beam was still shaky, but it appeared to have worked!

"Move!" Proteus spoke loudly to himself as he attempted to avoid a Bubble attack. He failed and was struck by the water type attack.
The golden fish was damaged, and his flail attack would be slightly stronger, but being attacked caused pain. Pain was not a pleasant feeling. The magikarp charged forward and used a flail attack, his charge missed though as the corsola simply sank into the ground. Proteus had kept going, as he had closed his eyes at the time and crashed into the floor, sending sand up everywhere along with an item.

"Equiponderate, the state of being of equal weight to another considered object!"
 The situation Revira and her friend were in appeared to be quite dire. Neither of them seemed to be capable to actually damage the stone-Pokémon-whatever by a considerable amount. Hopefully one of them would have an idea, as the Cor-thing didn't even think about stopping to attack.
But what could Revira do? She only had ineffective moves...once she would get out of this dungeon, the Omanyte would train and try to find better moves! She would improve! But of course that meant, that they'd have to get out of this situation first.
Not having any better ideas, Revira simply fired another Aurora Beam.

Proteus looked around for something to help, and spotted a strange red band in the sand that floated by him. He gained an idea, and grabbed the band with his mouth. He swam forward towards the Corsola and managed to get it caught on the coral on its back. He swam forward with all he could as the pokemon attempted to prevent being pulled forward and managed to stretch the band so that it covered the pokemon's eyes when he released it. The pokemon screamed in rage and pain and shot the bubble attack in random directions, hitting the magikarp out of sheer luck.

Why wasn't Proteus responding? Did he need more time to think of a word? If that was the case, then Revira would give him that time. Not waiting for him would be impolite after all.
Regarding the fight however, the many bubbles were obscuring the Omanyte's sight, so she could accidentally hit the Magikarp with one of her attacks. Since the dangerous bubbles were floating around, Revira used Withdraw to retreat into her shell and hope for the many attacks to pass by her without harming anyone. Did the plant-Pokémon even know of the danger it was responsible for?

Proteus finally remembered the game and managed to speak before being blasted with another onslaught of bubbles. The corsola seemed to be unhappy with them to the point of having a grudge. The magikarp finally spoke, "E-eggs," before swimming back up to the Corsola and using yet another flail attack. He rapidly thrashed about and slammed himself into the corsola, dealing moderate damage.

From within the Omanyte's shell a muffled voice emanated:
"Sporogenesis, the process, ability or tendency to reproduce by means of spores!"
Now that she had found another word to continue the game with, it was time to shift her focus to the battle again. Before she could even realize, what had been happening, Revira found the Pokémon-plant coming closer to her at quite an impressive speed. Not having enough time to think about the situation, the Omanyte tried to grab it, succeeding in doing so. However, the Corsola had been hit with enough force by the Magikarp to take Revira with it, so the involuntary duo moved a slight distance further before landing on the soft ocean ground once more.

Proteus watched as the duo fell to the ocean floor. He swam near them, the corsola seemed to stop moving. Maybe it had given up or was now too scared to move now that it was blind and immobile thanks to the Omanyte. He spoke his word, "Seafloor," before asking, "Are you alright Revira? I think it gave up..."
Though Proteus could be wrong, for all he knew the pokemon was just faking it so the Omanyte would let go and perhaps take the band with it by accident. Then would it have the ability to fight normally and fairly once more.

"Radappertization, a process in which food is treated with ionizing radiation to eliminate bacteria. And I'm not falling for that trick again. Just because someone seems to have given up, that doesn't mean, that they will actually do it. At least not in this world."
As she constricted further to damage the Corsola, its spikes egan to show effect on her skin.
"Ow! Or maybe you're right and we should just continue on. That thing is spiky!"
What a strange world this was...the ceiling was on fire, there were plant-stone-Pokémon-things...was there anything, that didn't exist in the newly-discovered cave?

"Y-Yeah maybe we should just leave it alone now.." Proteus said. He did not quite want to stick around and mess with the spiky pokemon any more.
"Here, let's go this way.." He suggested before swimming off a bit to the left of where they were originally going. He gave a swish of his tail and continued forward once more, "The last word was a "N" right? How about "Nullify"?" he asked. He kept towards the ocean floor, swimming in between the coral with ease and relief as the faint current that was there helped him avoid the coral. He stopped when he saw something on the ground once more, this time he checked it from a distance before swimming close to it.

Revira was a bit surprised. While the Magikarp had only used simple words before, "nullify" wasn't simple!
Well...not that simple at least. But it proved, that Proteus was improving! And that meant, that the Omanyte had actually managed to help someone! How wonderful!
"Yonderly! To be emotionally or mentally distant!" Happily Revira cried out her word as she followed Proteus through the many corals.
And the "through" was to be taken literally here. Since she couldn't see, where she was swimming, it occurred more than once, that she hit one of the structures, that looked almost like underwater trees and a few times they even broke apart. One thing was to be gained from this all at least. Apparently someone or something had hidden an item in one of the now broken corals!
