Under Da' Sea! [Open] - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Under Da' Sea! [Open]   Under Da' Sea! [Open] - Page 3 EmptyThu Jul 04, 2013 6:07 am

First topic message reminder :

There was a small splash as a golden shape made a flip from the land into the waters of the sea. The golden shape was a fish, a Magikarp to be exact on matter of species. He relished the feel of water completely enveloping him, the temperature was cool and perfect for his species. He moved his tail fins and propelled himself forward, eager to reach the Coral Forest which was said to have items that held the potential to make one appear stronger than before. The fish was desperate for that kind of item, though he already had a light pink ribbon wrapped around him just bast the yellow spikes and jest before his tail fin began.

The ribbon was a Joy Ribbon, he had found it on his first day in Grassveil, a seemingly frustrated Archen had tossed it along with some boxes he had gotten appraised. He decided to hide the items away somewhere near Grassveil under a bush. It was a pain to get them there though, since he had to wrap the ribbon around it using only his mouth and flopping about. Proteus decided to try to never keep fragile things with him since they would probably get damaged. At least until he received a secure bag that prevented things from breaking in it of some sort.

Proteus was the name of this small fish like pokemon, his name meaning "The Old Man of the Sea". His parents had named him that in hopes that he would be more wise in decisions and giving advice, seeing as they saw old age as wisdom. The magikarp gave terrible advice though, and often got himself into trouble with everything. Proteus didn't mean to give such terrible advice though, he doesn't even realize he's giving such advice since he full heatedly believes it.

He swam into the depths of the sea, noticing the coral's beautiful colors begin to stand out against the seabed in different colors of the world. He was not interested in the beauty of it though, since he didn't have enough knowledge to really appreciate such things. He instead swam towards the colorful reef, searching underneath the tall, the short and the thick for anything that could be like the rumored item that could allow him to become strong enough to leap over even waterfalls like the eldest in his school. Currently, he was so weak that even a slight push in the water current would send him miles away, or until the current ended.

Proteus was overcome with dread when he felt something begin to pull at him, yet push him at the same time. The magikarp screamed as he was suddenly dragged and tossed about by the currents. He was tossed about to and for, some currents leading up and then flowing into another current that dragged him back down again. It was quite a while until he reached still water again, but by this time he was completely dizzy and floating upside down. He would have looked like a golden piece of sushi gifted to them by the gods to any predators nearby since he was out in open sea with the coral forest just below him.

His dazed state finally disappeared and he found that he was upside down and in open waters. He gave a small cry of fear before diving back into the cover of the tall coral where there was less of a chance to be spotted by predators thanks to his bright golden color giving  him some kind of camouflage. He wondered if there were any friendly pokemon out in this area.

"Charmander, and YES!" the golden fish darted towards the brilliant gold seed that seemed to radiate a strange aura of power. The magikarp swam in a circle, causing the sand to stir and the seed to rise. He carefully maneuvered himself so the seed would slip into his pocket. It took a few tries but he collected the seed. He smiled gleefully at the feebas, "Thanks! But I'm going to need more than that, care to stick around?"

The Feebas chuckled, grinning, "Sure! It's quite fun searching for these actually, and it's nice to have some company. Especially because most pokemon these days only care for themselves and their territory and just attack without a decent motive."
Serenne sighed quietly, thinking back to the Buizel from before. However her mind quickly trailed off to another water dwelling Pokemon, and she realised it would be perfect for the game they were playing.
"Relicanth!" she smiled, returning to her search and swimming along the seabed whilst using her one fin to kick up the sand, the other occupied by the two Corsola Spikes that she had found.

"Horsea!" The magikarp shot back with glee. He swam through the coral a bit too fast, dodging them as he saw them coming and crashed into one. Luckily it was weak and broke easily, not damaging the magikarp too much, "Ouch..."he spoke before righting himself once more. He looked at the broken coral that appeared to have been hollow with an item inside. Was it a hiding place for a pokemon's items?

"Careful there," chuckled the Feebas, picking up the second Joy Ribbon and winding it around her fin to keep hold of it. She then continued her search for the seeds, thinking of a Pokemon beginning with A as she did so. After a short pause of no speaking, she cheerfully called out, "Alomomola!"

"Agh, really another A? Alright then, uh...Apple!" The golden sea food was running low on things that started with the letter "A" so he decided to try and start coming up with them ahead of time. He had not explained how the game ended and who won because as a guppy he would usually get bored of the game and quit, or it would go on for so long that his mother would quit. He had to admit he slightly missed his school back at home, he didn't quite remember where he lived though. All he remembered was one minute he was in the water and the next he was sailing across the sky like a bird pokemon. He looked up at the sea's surface to see the sky, they were a bit too deep for a clear view but he could see the sun. He was satisfied with that.

The Feebas chuckled as she wrapped another Joy Ribbon around her fin, swimming around it as Proteus had done when wrapping the first piece of fabric to her dorsal fin. Serenne then continued to search the seabed for the elusive seeds they were looking for, whilst trying to think of a Pokemon or object beginning with the letter E.
"Eelektross!" she called out suddenly, a small grin in her face as she finally thought of an answer, "Your turn!"
Continuing her search, the Feebas stumbled upon an item sticking out of the sand beneath some of the coral. Curious, she swam up to it and began brushing away the sand with her free fin.

"Sssssstunfisk!" The magikarp struggled to get another word out of his tiny brain. He gave a swish of his tail as he neared a thicker patch of seaweed. He neared the patch, thinking he saw something in the long underwater grass like plants that waved to him. He neared it, and found an item. Although, a pokemon launched itself into him, slamming him away from the item protectively. No way was this pokemon going to allow this fish its item! It had worked hard for this, and the magikarp just wanted to come along and take it. This pokemon was angry that the oblivious pokemon even dared to do such a thing.

Finding yet another Corsola Spike, Serenne opted to leave it behind, sticking out of the sand. She did however swim down and turn it over, so that an oblivious Pokemon wouldn't get hurt by it if they swam over it without realising, however by leaving the blunt side poking out of the sea bed, she made sure that anyone who would find a use for it could easily spot it.
Smiling she then returned to the game she had been playing with Proteus, calling out "Kingdra-" before trailing off as she spotted the Horsea slamming into Proteus.
"H-hey!" she called out to it, drawing it's attention toward her instead. Regretting it almost instantly, Serenne hovered in the water above the coral branches unsure of what to do.

The Horsea snorted and ceased charging towards the magikarp when the golden fish began to flail about and slap the pokemon's snout with his tail fin. The pokemon snorted at him and concentrated as Ink flowed out of its snout and surrounded the magikarp, using a smoke screen. The Magikarp looked around, confused, before flailing about once more and charging in random directions. The current however controlled his directions and the current brought the smoke along with him. Proteus was blind and the Horsea laughed at his misery as it picked its TM Water Pulse back up with its tail, feeling as sly as ever.

Angered by the Horsea's smokescreen hindering her friend's eyesight, the Feebas used the two Corsola spikes that she had picked up along the way. With surprising strength considering her small fins, Serenne dropped one of the spikes and then hit it towards the Horsea. It was propelled through the water with the momentum from Serenne's hit, colliding almost head on with the Dragon Pokemon. Not wasting any time, Serenne did the same with the second spike, wanting to drive the Horsea away. Whether it kept the Water Pulse or not she didn't mind, but it hadn't needed to be so violent over a small misunderstanding.

The Horsea squealed in pain and thrashed about as it swam back towards them, desiring revenge. It rocketed towards the Feebas, when the currents decided to finally bring the magikarp in his ball of smoke back up and intercepted the Horsea. Proteus was hit, and knocked out of the ball of smoke, but now the Horsea was lost in the cloud.
Proteus knew that they could run now, but being the bad advice giving fish, he suggested, "We should stay and fight" He wanted to face palm at his own words. He hated it when things such as this happens, its like his mouth was automated to spit out the bad advice rather than the good ones.

"I disagree!" called the Feebas, Serenne swimming over to Proteus and grabbing his fin in her own, not wanting to stick around for the cloud of ink to clear. Serenne dragged the golden Magikarp away from the scene. If it had been a Joy Seed in the Horsea's grasp perhaps she would have stayed and fought, but Proteus had already found two TMs identical to the one that Horsea carried, so she saw no need for yet another.
Serenne finally let go of Proteus' fin when she figured they were far enough away from the Horsea that it wouldn't come looking for them. Sighing in relief, she swam down to the seabed to take a brief rest among the coral's branches. It was here that she spotted yet another item.

[Yeaaah Imma just nom that ^^ *is shot a thousand times*]
The magikarp yelled in surprise when the feebas released him and the current took over. He found that his face was slammed into the ground, and he accidentally swallowed some sand along with a strange seed that was similar to the one they had found earlier. He felt himself grow stronger, but also felt sick as he crashed into some coral branches. The branches snapped and revealed one of them to be hallow and hiding a secret within it.

"Careful there," blinked Serenne, swimming over to check that Proteus was okay, whilst aso pulling him out of the broken coral. She blinked however as she realised the coral had been hollow... how was that even possible? Was there some way of making storage spaces look like coral but still look real instead of fake? There seemed to be some sort of band inside of it. Feeling quite guilty that someone went to so much trouble to hide it, only for Proteus to accidentally break it, Serenne tied the band onto the remains of the hollow coral, hoping that whoever it belonged to would return at some point and collect it.

Moving on, she began searching for those elusive seeds once more.

Proteus finally remembered that they had been playing a game. He stopped for a moment, trying to remember what the feebas had said. He knew it started with the letter "K" but did not want to admit that he had already forgotten what the feebas had said. He decided to just assume it was a vowel and that it was an "E"; he hoped for the best and spoke, "Exeggutor."
The golden fish wished that the feebas had remembered the game, and did not think him mad that he would suddenly say a random pokemon's name. The magikarp had heard of the Exeggutors from rumors spread to his school from fish that had been on land once. He had heard that if one cut off an Exeggutor's head, two would grow in its place and it was the size of Arceus himself. Proteus did not know whether to believe the pokemon or not though; the rumors were a little too ridiculous!
