| First topic message reminder :Basic Hoenn Map Cassidy woke up to the sound of her rather loud Taillow alarm. The clock was a plain pale blue other than the Taillow model situated on top of it. The alarm continued to play the recorded "Taillow! Taillow!" call until Cassy rolled over and turned it off, looking at the time as she did so. It was 6:30am and Cass was about to go back to sleep when she realised what the day was. She practically threw the quilt off herself as she leaped out of bed, stretching her arms. She went over to her window and threw open the curtains before opening the windows themselves to let in the fresh air. After taking a quick shower to freshen up, Cassidy went back into her room to get changed. Sifting through her drawers, she picked out a shirt that was white with orange stripes. To go with it, she picked out a pair of pale peach coloured three quarter length trousers and a pale blue coat. Once she was dressed, she brushed her dark red hair and dug underneath her bed for her bag. The bag was a simple, grey-blue shoulder bag but it was roomy and would likely hold all of what she would need to take with her. Once she had packed everything she was going to take with her, she put her shoes on, grabbed her dark blue scarf and left a note in the kitchen for her parents when they woke up. She headed out at 7:30. Cassidy didn't have to meet the Professor in his laboratory until about 10:00, so she spent the next few hours just outside of Littleroot Town, watching the world go by. She sat with her sketch book in her lap and her pencils and watercolours in one pocket of her bag. The route however, seemed to be deserted. There were no Pokemon to draw and she was so familiar with Route 101 now that she could draw every blade of grass without looking. After a long while of sitting silently Cas gathered her things with a sigh and headed back into Town. She wandered down the street on her way to her friend Celeste's house. Surely she would be up and about by now. It was nearly 9:30 after all. Only half an hour to go until they could meet their new Pokemon! - Cassidy:

| Cassidy grinned as Celeste returned from the Pokemon centre. Ditrysia was back in her Pokeball so that she could rest after their battle, but Twayblade was once again perched on Cassy's shoulder.
"Where to first?" she asked as they began to wander up the street. | |

| Celeste's brow furrowed as she thought. "I dunno." She grinned and laughed a bit. "Welp, let's just run about! We could visit the Poke-Mart. Those are always useful~"
Suddenly, something wet fell on Celeste's face. She looked up and squinted at the sky. "Ooh it's raining!" She grinned wickedly and began spinning around in circles and dancing ridiculously.
Doro hung on for dear life. |

| "True." she replied, before a raindrop also fell on Twayblade's head. The Treecko blinked before looking up. Cassidy held her arms out, feeling the rain hit her palms. She grinned and chuckled, "Nothing like a bit of rain!" | |

| "Agreed!~" Celeste beamed happily. "C'mon then! Poke-Mart!~" Celeste skipped on towards the blue-roofed building.
Doro relaxed a bit and chirped something happily. |

| Cassidy grinned as they entered the building. She looked around at all the merchandise before picking up a Pokemon plushie that was on the shelf next to her. She chuckled, "It looks just like Ditri." Gently putting the Wurmple plushie back on the shelf she went to look at the more useful products, such as potions and antidotes. She guessed that she should probably buy a few Antidotes in case of accidents whilst training. Ditrysia's poison didn't seem like something anyone would want to mess with. - LOL Look at this Wurmple plush someone made.:

| Celeste perused the shelves with a thoughtful look on her face. "Anything you see that you want, Doro?"
Doro leaped off of Celeste's head and pushed a bag off of a shelf.
"Oh. You'll probably need this huh?" Celeste grinned and picked up the bag of Pokemon treats. "Speaking of treats, I'd better get something for you to eat. Berries or something." She grabbed a bag of organic food and then looked around for potions and better Pokeballs.
Doro hummed happily and settled himself back on Celeste's cranium. |

| Cassidy eventually got to the counter with two Antidotes, an assortment of Oran and Sitrus berries, two different types of organic Pokemon food, some better Pokeballs and a small box of treats for Grass and Bug types that Twayblade had insisted she buy. Luckily Ditrysia was a Bug type otherwise she would have said no.
When she had bought everything, she packed it neatly into her bag and waited outside the Pokemart. On the way out she had also noticed the seals that were arranged next to the door and had bought a few interesting ones along with two ball capsules.
Cas glanced up at the sky. It seemed to have stopped raining whilst they had been in the Pokemart and she wondered how long she had actually spent browsing the shelves. | |

| Celeste walked outside of the building carrying an assortment of items ranging from Pecha berries to seals and ball capsules of her own. She whistled merrily and skipped down the street. "Where next Cas?" She called over her shoulder.
Doro yawned and soon fell asleep to the steady pattern of Celeste's gait. |

| "I don't know. We could always go and explore Route 103. I was talking to the guy at the counter and he said it's a dead end that way but it's a great place for rookies to train," she replied, glad that she had already packed away all of her purchased items into her own TARDIS like bag.
Twayblade was holding onto Cas' shoulder with three paws as she nibbled on one of the treats with her fourth. She smiled, finding it delicious. | |

| Celeste grinned brilliantly. "Alright! I bet there are some cool Pokemon there as well.. Awesome! Let's goooo!~" Celeste dashed back, grabbed Cassidy's arm, and dashed towards Route 103.
Doro somehow managed to sleep through this. |

| Twayblade dropped the rest of the treat as Celeste dragged Cassidy towards Route 103 and watched sadly as a bird Pokemon fluttered down and gobbled it up. "Treecko..." she sighed.
"You can have another one later Twayblade," smiled Cassidy, somehow managing to think properly despite being dragged.
It didn't take long to reach Route 103, though Cas was relieved when Celeste let go of her arm. She looked around before grabbing Ditrysia's Pokeball. "Alright Ditri! Come on out!" she grinned, the Wurmple appearing in front of her. Twayblade climbed off of Cassy's shoulder and stood next to Ditri.
"Alright then. Looks like it's training time again." she smiled, glancing around for any wild Pokemon. She couldn't see any and sighed. | |

| "I'm gonna head this way! Tell me if you find anything interesting!" Celeste dashed off, prodding Doro awake.
--------------
After several run ins with Zigzagoon and Poochyena, Celeste was downright exhausted. Doro wasn't doing too much better. "C'mon Doro! One last time!"
Doro let out a noise of determination.
Dashing back into the grass, Celeste let out a crow of excitement when she saw a new Pokemon. This Pokemon was unlike one she had ever seen. It had a long orangey-yellow beak and slender white wings striped with blue near the tips. She flipped open her Pokedex to get further information.
Wingull has the habit of carrying prey and valuables in its beak and hiding them in all sorts of locations. This Pokémon rides the winds and flies as if it were skating across the sky.
The machine went on the list that the Wingull's moves were Growl and Water gun.
"Alright, Doro! Tackle!" |

| Cassidy wandered through the grass with Ditrysia and Twayblade. After waving to Celeste as she dashed off, they hadn't had any luck. Cas sighed, "Nothing."
She continued to glance around until she spotted a Zigzagoon. Another quick battle later and she found the area empty once more.
Ditrysia on the other hand, found a rather interesting opponent a few minutes later. A Wurmple just like her. But firstly, Wurmple were not found on this route... and secondly, as far as Cassidy knew, they were not purple.
Cas held her Pokedex up to it, only for it to repeat the description it had given her when she had scanned Ditrysia. Why was it different? She blinked at the two Wurmple before telling Ditri to use String Shot and follow up with Tackle.
The red Wurmple did as she was bid, and the purple one retaliated with Poison Sting. Ditrysia used her own Poison Sting to counter and it soon became a stalemate. Cassidy was still confused by the purple Pokemon and so threw a Pokeball, hoping to catch it so that she could show Professor Birch at the Pokemon Centre.
The Pokeball shaked a few times before clicking and Cassy went over to claim it, still quite perplexed by the odd coloured bug Pokemon. "So what do you think Ditri?" she asked. "Wurmple...(I dunno...)"
"Twayblade?" "...."
Shrugging, Cassidy decided to go in search of Celeste.

| After a rather fierce battle full of dodging and countering, Celeste ordered Doro to stand out of the way. She threw a Pokeball, hoping for the best.
The Wingull appeared surprised by the red and white projectile coming towards it. However, it didn't struggle. As it was encased by the red light, Celeste held her breath. When a click resounded through the air, she let out a loud cheer and retrieved the ball.
She let out the newly captured Pokemon and with a thoughtful silence looked him (for that's what the Wingull was, a he.) over. "I think I'll name you Ace." She grinned.
"Gull! (Alright!)" The Wingull was enthusiastic, but still appeared exhausted from the battle. Celeste returned the flying Pokemon to his Pokeball, deciding he could formally meet Doro later.
------------
"Catch anything?" Celeste inquired, running back to where Cassidy and she had parted ways. |

| Cassidy jogged over to Celeste and smiled, "Yea. You?"
She had just returned Ditrysia and Twayblade to their own Pokeballs, and now only had the mysterious purple Wurmple's Pokeball in her hand. She opened it, letting the Wurmple out so that Celeste could see.
"Look.... it's purple... and I have no idea why. I caught it to show Professor Birch. I thought we could use those video call things in the Pokemon centre to contact him."
The Wurmple glanced around. It didn't seem to care that everyone was so intrigued and confused by it's odd colouring. It was rather carefree, wriggling around near Cassidy's feet. | |
