A Hoenn Adventure

Cassidy woke up to the sound of her rather loud Taillow alarm. The clock was a plain pale blue other than the Taillow model situated on top of it. The alarm continued to play the recorded "Taillow! Taillow!" call until Cassy rolled over and turned it off, looking at the time as she did so.
It was 6:30am and Cass was about to go back to sleep when she realised what the day was. She practically threw the quilt off herself as she leaped out of bed, stretching her arms. She went over to her window and threw open the curtains before opening the windows themselves to let in the fresh air.

After taking a quick shower to freshen up, Cassidy went back into her room to get changed. Sifting through her drawers, she picked out a shirt that was white with orange stripes. To go with it, she picked out a pair of pale peach coloured three quarter length trousers and a pale blue coat. Once she was dressed, she brushed her dark red hair and dug underneath her bed for her bag.
The bag was a simple, grey-blue shoulder bag but it was roomy and would likely hold all of what she would need to take with her.

Once she had packed everything she was going to take with her, she put her shoes on, grabbed her dark blue scarf and left a note in the kitchen for her parents when they woke up. She headed out at 7:30.

Cassidy didn't have to meet the Professor in his laboratory until about 10:00, so she spent the next few hours just outside of Littleroot Town, watching the world go by. She sat with her sketch book in her lap and her pencils and watercolours in one pocket of her bag. The route however, seemed to be deserted. There were no Pokemon to draw and she was so familiar with Route 101 now that she could draw every blade of grass without looking.

After a long while of sitting silently Cas gathered her things with a sigh and headed back into Town. She wandered down the street on her way to her friend Celeste's house. Surely she would be up and about by now. It was nearly 9:30 after all. Only half an hour to go until they could meet their new Pokemon!

Celeste grinned down at the adorable Tiny Raccoon Pokemon. She had tried to imagine herself with one but honestly preferred Water type Pokemon. With an absent minded look across her face, she reached the exit of the path. A gate stood between Oldale Town and the route.

Feeling that it was time for another narrative, Celeste cleared her throat. "And the duo, along with one new friend, stepped into a new and exciting place. And it was here, that the adventure really began."

Cassidy though that the Zigzagoon looked rather cute, but she decided to refrain from seeking one out to catch. After all, she had Ditrysia to train now. They finally reached the gate, stepping through as Celeste narrated.
Cassy couldn't help but laugh at the narrations.
"Are you going to do that for the entire journey?" she asked, chuckling

Cass could easily spot the red roof of the Pokemon centre not far into Oldale Town. She couldn't wait to heal Ditri.

Tyler grinned at Celeste; she seemed like a pretty fun person to be with. "I'm gonna go to the Pokemart before heading to the center; I need to get a Pokeball for Ziggy hee. Looks like we'll be parting ways now" He smiled at the girl, the Zigzagoon "goon"ing by it's side. "I hope we get to battle again, Celeste."

Celeste grinned. "I hope so too, Tyler. Nice meeting you and I wish you, Bob, and Ziggy the best of luck." She waved happily at the trainer as she walked on towards the Pokecenter.

"Well then, Cas. Time to spend the night like a hobo."

"See you around Tyler!" smiled Cassidy as her and Celeste headed towards the Pokemon Centre.

"I would have thought it would be one up from a hobo, since we get nice rooms and comfy beds," she replied as they walked through the automatic doors.

Cassidy made a beeline straight for where Nurse Joy was stood behind the counter. She returned Twayblade to her Pokeball with a quick, "See you later~" and handed her and Ditrysia over to be healed.

"Okay fine, it's like staying in a shelter for the homeless. We're still hobos, we just have someone looking after us." Celeste chuckled.

Removing the pokeball from her belt, Celeste bit her lip. She was a tad nervous at leaving her Pokemon behind so early in their partnership, but she knew she could trust the Nurse Joy. "Take good care of him." She smiled softly.

The Nurse Joy nodded with a happy smile and carted the three Pokemon off into the back room where they could rest. Coming back, she handed them a key. "Here is a key to a room upstairs. You're free to stay in it as long as you need to, but please return the key once you have finished!" She smiled brightly.

Celeste nodded and murmured her thanks, trudging up the steps in a haze of sudden sleepiness.

"I will concede to that," she chuckled in reply.

After receiving the key and trudging upstairs, Cassidy flopped down on one of the beds. It was much more comfortable than she would have predicted. She lay there for a few moments, wondering how long their Pokemon would need to be downstairs for. She was eager to get back to her new friends and partners.

"So what should we do to pass the time?" asked Cas, sitting up.

Celeste thought in silence for a moment. "LET'S PLAY TWISTER." Apparently this idea was genius by Celeste's standards because she was now raring to go. "TWISTERTWISTERTWISTERTWISTER~" She screeched, jumping up and down.

"So much for being rather tired a few moments ago," laughed Cassidy.
"Where are we going to get a Twister game from anyhow? Unless you have one stored in your TARDIS of a bag."
Cass was all up for playing Twister but she had no idea where to find one.

"I mean.. we could always draw spots on the floor and do it that way... but then what would we use for the spinny thing? Though I'm sure the cleaners wouldn't be too impressed if they had to clean the spots off of the floor...." she went off onto her own little tangent for a new moments before being brought back to reality.

"AHAHAH YOU THOUGHT I DIDN'T COME PREPARED!?" Celeste laughed. She opened her bag and pulled out several board games. "VIEW MY MAJESTIC PACKING SKILLS."

"HOLY HAWKS. It really is a TARDIS!" she yelled quite suddenly. "And there are so many games to choose from... Which one do you want to play first? Twister, still?"

"TWISTER BISH!" Celeste yelled, laughing loudly. She whipped out the game and spread out the mat on the floor. "Spiiiiiiin~" She muttered as she flicked the spinner. "ALRIGHT THIS IS GOING DOWN. LET US PRETZEL-IFY."

After playing Twister for another fifteen minutes, Cassidy was on the verge of losing. She was struggling with one leg awkwardly positioned under her stomach and underneath one of her other arms. It didn't take her long to wobble and topple over.

"Noooooo!" she protested as she fell, sprawled out on the mat in the centre of the room. She had lost, but it had been fun.
After laughing for a while at her profoundly bad loss, she got to her feet.

"I wonder how our Pokemon are doing..." she mused, "Want to go check on them?"

Celeste let out a victory howl and did a small dance. Well, if 'small dance' meant doing the worm on the carpet and shouting "Guess who's the winner? Celeste is dah winnah~"

Celeste grinned and nodded. "Alright!" She leaped to her feet and rushed down the stairs, shouting at Cassidy to lock the door behind her.

"Excuse me, how are our Pokemon?" Celeste inquired at the first Nurse Joy she met.

"Ah, they're resting. Feel free to go visit them and if they seem well enough, you can take them up to your room."

Luckily, Cassidy was a sensible person and had already thought to lock the door. She also rushed downstairs after Celeste, arriving at the counter a few seconds later.

"Awesome!" grinned Cas as Nurse Joy pointed them in the direction of the room where they could find their Pokemon. It didn't take long to get there.

"Hey Twayblade, Ditrysia!" she smiled, rushing up to both of her Pokemon. They hadn't been in a life threatening condition or anything, but just being apart for about half an hour seemed to merit a group hug and some happy tears.
