A Hoenn Adventure

Cassidy woke up to the sound of her rather loud Taillow alarm. The clock was a plain pale blue other than the Taillow model situated on top of it. The alarm continued to play the recorded "Taillow! Taillow!" call until Cassy rolled over and turned it off, looking at the time as she did so.
It was 6:30am and Cass was about to go back to sleep when she realised what the day was. She practically threw the quilt off herself as she leaped out of bed, stretching her arms. She went over to her window and threw open the curtains before opening the windows themselves to let in the fresh air.

After taking a quick shower to freshen up, Cassidy went back into her room to get changed. Sifting through her drawers, she picked out a shirt that was white with orange stripes. To go with it, she picked out a pair of pale peach coloured three quarter length trousers and a pale blue coat. Once she was dressed, she brushed her dark red hair and dug underneath her bed for her bag.
The bag was a simple, grey-blue shoulder bag but it was roomy and would likely hold all of what she would need to take with her.

Once she had packed everything she was going to take with her, she put her shoes on, grabbed her dark blue scarf and left a note in the kitchen for her parents when they woke up. She headed out at 7:30.

Cassidy didn't have to meet the Professor in his laboratory until about 10:00, so she spent the next few hours just outside of Littleroot Town, watching the world go by. She sat with her sketch book in her lap and her pencils and watercolours in one pocket of her bag. The route however, seemed to be deserted. There were no Pokemon to draw and she was so familiar with Route 101 now that she could draw every blade of grass without looking.

After a long while of sitting silently Cas gathered her things with a sigh and headed back into Town. She wandered down the street on her way to her friend Celeste's house. Surely she would be up and about by now. It was nearly 9:30 after all. Only half an hour to go until they could meet their new Pokemon!

Doro leaped back as he was stung, letting out a squeak. He waited for Celeste's order, however, refusing to be beat by one puny sting.

"Mirror Coat, Doro!"

"Kiip! (Okay!)" Doro exclaimed. He began to glow a silvery color for a moment before attempting to inflict twice the amount of damage to Bob that Bob had done to him. "Muudkip! (Take that!)"

Cassidy and Ditrysia watched the battle intently. The Pokedex had been returned to Cassy's bag and she now had her arms curled around the area where the Wurmple lay, almost protecting Ditrysia.

<OH HELL!> Bob fell back as the mirror coat had it's way. For all Bob's talk and his skill, he was still simply a Wurmple. He soon found himself near the zigzagoon who were once eating Oran berries and were now watching the fight intently. <Are there any berries left?> The Zigzagoon shook their heads. <Damn.> It righted itself, still a little wobbly, and readied another string shot.
"YES! GET BACK IN THE GAME! BEAT HI-MMMMFFFF!" And shot it right at Tyler.
<That's what you get for forcing me into this stupid fight!> Bob shouted angrily. It then redirected it's aim to the ground, trying to create a sticky floor to prevent Doro from moving in.

Doro grimaced as he saw Bob squirting more of that ridiculously sticky string everywhere.

"Doro, try your best to avoid the string. You'll get stuck! Now, tackle!" Celeste's orders were quick and concise, hoping to end this battle with a victory and soon.

Doro nodded and sidestepped the goop. He picked his footing carefully, and then launched himself towards the Wurmple.

Twayblade's eyes blinked open and she sat up to see that Doro was still battling Bob.
"Wow.. you really didn't sleep for very long," chuckled Cas before returning her attention to the battle. It looked like Celeste was trying to finish the fight quickly.

Bob grinned; he may not have been able to dodge that tackle, but he would find it easy to sting it again at point blank.
"MFFOGE! MFF" Tyler was trying to shout it's orders
<Damn; looks like I'll have to spray him again soon.> And with that, he moved his stinger to meet head on with the charging Mudkip.

"Wait wait Doro!" Celeste called out, seeing Bob's stinger ready to pierce the Mudkip.

Unfortunately, Doro was running to fast to stop himself now. He smacked right into the stinger and Bob, letting out a rather unmanly squeak.

Celeste's brow furrowed. Doro wasn't going to do very well if he kept getting stung. "Okay, Doro. Look out for the stinger more often!"

Doro rolled his eyes, laying crumpled next to Bob. "Kiiip. (Ooowch.)" He muttered woozily.

"I hope he wasn't poisoned..." frowned Cassidy, not liking the look of that stinger. It was a different story when the stinger was on your own side however.
Twayblade got to her feet and stood with her arms crossed as she observed.

Bob looked around, dizzily. <Oh, god, that tackle was painful...> He fell to the ground, immobilized. <I... Can't move...> The Wurmple grinned at his opponent. <That was the best battle I've had... I hope you aren't too hurt, Doro.>
"Return." Bob was enveloped in a red light, and entered his Pokeball. "So... is that a draw? Or did you win?" Tyler watched the Mudkip on the floor, silently praying that it was unconscious whilst feeling guilty for doing so.

"Doro?" Celeste asked, kneeling down by the Mudkip. He attempted to struggle to his paws but ended up back on the ground. "Muuud.(Sorry.)"

"Return."She smiled gently and tucked the pokeball into a slot on her belt. "That was a great battle." She grinned at Tyler and then turned to Cassidy.

"Onward to Oldale then?"

Cassidy smiled at Celeste before getting to her feet. She scooped Ditrysia up into her arms and cradled the little Wurmple there for a moment.
"As soon as you're all healed up we can go out for some proper training," she smiled before finding Ditrysia's Pokeball and returning her in a beam of red light.

She then bent down for Twayblade so that she could climb back up onto her shoulder.

"To Oldale!" she grinned.

Tyler smiled. "It was a good battle. And technically, Bob is still undefeated!" He looked down at the Pokeball that contained the said Wurmple. "Erm, mind if I come to Oldale with you? I need to get this little guy to a Pokemon center."

"Nah, we don't mind at all!" Celeste exclaimed after sharing a look with Cassidy. "Oh, I never said my name did I? I'm Celeste." She shot a grin at Tyler and began the walk to Oldale.

Cassidy smiled at Tyler, "I'm Cassidy, and this is Twayblade."
She motioned to the Treecko perched on her shoulder as she introduced her.

"Treecko Tree!(Pleased to meet you!)"

Tyler smiled at the duo. "So, onwards?" And with that, he started walking the path to Oldale.
Behind him, a Zigzagoon (one of the many who had been eating his berries) followed behind, cuddling up to his leg. "Awww, hey there little guy! Do you wanna travel with me?"
<Will there be Berries?> Almost as if he understood, Tyler reached into his bag and got an Oran Berry. <~Yay!~>
Tyler smiled at his new companion. "I'll have to wait until we get to Oldale until we can get you a Pokeball though."
