Acro is Lost....

A brown shape flashed through the leaves as it hopped from tree to tree. It stopped when it was utterly lost, "Strange.."the shape spoke, "I could of sworn this was the way to that Monochrome Falls i've been hearing about." He ruffled his feathers and dropped to the ground. He was an Archen, and his name was Acro. He had recently begun exploring without his partner George the Buizel recently. He thought of himself as more adventurous than the buizel. He had heard a rumor about a waterfall in the forest, and he wanted to see it. He looked around his surroundings to find himself surrounded by tall trees, he realized something. He, was lost. He could have sworn he knew these woods like the back of his hand by now, but no. He had found himself in an entirely new area, and not only was he lost but he hadn't even found what he was looking for! He huffed in frustration and tried to remember where he had come from and where he should go.

Tallulah charged at the Cacturn, aiming at the spike, but missed as the cactus-scarecrow turned to attack Acro. Tallulah skidded and caught herself, charging again and this time grabbing the spike. She held it and climbed up into a tree, waiting for the right mom-

Dangit! Tallulah was hit with a Poison Sting, almost falling off the branch she was on. She regained her balance and hit the Cacturne with a Sonicboom before readying herself to jump onto it.

Acro used Wing Attack on the Cacturne's legs, he hit the back of it's knees. It buckled and fell the the ground, it's back completely open and vulnerable to any form of attack. Acro struggled from underneath the Cacturne, it had pinned him. He made copies of himself, trying to trick both his partner and the cacturne into thinking that the Acro that was caught was just an illusion. He wanted to trick his partner so she would go all out on the attack and not worry about him.

Tallulah was about to jump, when Acro knocked the Cacturne over. She couldn't tell which one was the real Arco, though. She didn't care, really. Best to distract the Waterfall Guardian. she thought, jumping down and using her good tail to keep launching Sonicboom, but after a few hits the Cacturne was able to get himself up, uncovering an Acro, but this one... It looked surprisingly lifelike. Tallulah hoped it wasn't the real one. Now was her chance, though. She jumped right onto the Cacturne's hat and jabbed the Cacnea Spike right into the living cactus's mouth. It screeched in pain and attempted to take the spike out.

"Okay, Acro! Now's your chance! Get him!"

Acro leaped from the ground where he had been recovering from being pinned and used a wing attack on the guardian. He screeched in fury as his wing clashed with the cactusman's head. The cacturne screeched in pain and fell over, it got back up, it wasn't giving up just yet. One hit looked like that it should do it. Acro hung back and let Tallulah do the honors.

Tallulah nodded, and readied a finishing combination, hoping to pull it off using one tail. She ran in for an Aqua Tail, hit the Cacturn in the stomach, then jumped back and Sonicboom'ed it, dealing the final blow. The Cacturne fell to the ground, and fainted. Tallulah beamed.

"So... I take it you were the real Acro?" Tallulah asked the Archen who was under the Cacturne. "Just beyond this path should be the waterfall!"

Acro nodded, the duplicates disappeared. He looked at the path excitedly and said, "We should get going. We're almost there!" he stopped for a moment and thought, "You know, I think you've gotten stronger even if just a bit."

Tallulah smiled at the compliment. "Heh, that's what I originally came here for, to get stronger. I bet you have, too." she replied, wiping some sweat off her forehead. She ran ahead, the path a bit longer than the ones before, but the sound of roaring water could be heard more clearly after every step the Buizel took. She beamed as she saw the waterfall.

"Acro, its right down here!" Tallulqh called down the path excitedly. "C'mon!"

Acro ran after the buizel, he grew even more excited. He didn't notice a root in his path, his foot caught on it and he tumbled down the rest of the path just behind Tallulah. He groaned in pain as he opened his eyes to see a fantastic waterfall standing before him.
