Acro is Lost....

A brown shape flashed through the leaves as it hopped from tree to tree. It stopped when it was utterly lost, "Strange.."the shape spoke, "I could of sworn this was the way to that Monochrome Falls i've been hearing about." He ruffled his feathers and dropped to the ground. He was an Archen, and his name was Acro. He had recently begun exploring without his partner George the Buizel recently. He thought of himself as more adventurous than the buizel. He had heard a rumor about a waterfall in the forest, and he wanted to see it. He looked around his surroundings to find himself surrounded by tall trees, he realized something. He, was lost. He could have sworn he knew these woods like the back of his hand by now, but no. He had found himself in an entirely new area, and not only was he lost but he hadn't even found what he was looking for! He huffed in frustration and tried to remember where he had come from and where he should go.

"Oh shoot..." Tallulah muttered, thinking fast on how to dodge this attack. She quickly jumped out of the way, but a bit too late. The Mightyena's fangs got her tail, sinking in and wounding her main weapons.

Tallulah cried out in pain. The Buizel got shocked and badly damaged by the bite, and was now using her bare paws to try and open the Mightyena's grip. She was just able to get free, but she was hurt. Her right tail was sore and it hurt to move it. She held it and used Sonic Boom with her other tail. With one tail, it was weaker, but it still bought Acro some time.

The Mightyena dodged the Sonic Boom this time but was sent slightly off course, growling angrily. It re-aligned itself and then jumped at the Archen, teeth crackling with electricity with another Thunderfang.

Acro side stepped the Mightyena and caused it to eat a mouthful of dirt. It roared in rage and turned toward the archen to attack only to see it not there anymore.

He used Wing Attack on it's stomach once more. The mightyena yelped and retreated one more, making whimpering noises and wheezing. It wasn't used to being struck there. Acro screeched in rage once more as it tried to attack with bite, Acro hit it with steel wing and slapped it in the jaw, hard.

The mightyena screeched in pain and ran about blindly in pain. It ran towards Tallulah, eyes shut and unaware of what was happening.

Tallulah just smiled, stepped to the side and stuck her foot out, tripping the charging Mightyena. The Bite Pokemon rolled into a thorn bush, and limped back out into the forest panting and wimpering.

Tallulah smiled. "That was awesome! We were awesome!" she exclaimed, quickly grabbing her hurt tail and sitting down on a small rock. "Ouch, this is gonna be a problem," she said, "Do you got any items that could heal my wound?" Tallulah sighed. "By the way, that Poochyena was holding a box. I say it's yours, as I don't need it."

"Eh, nope. All i have that could help is an escape orb, but that is for extreme emergencies." Acro said as he looked through his items. He picked up the box and walked back toward Tallulah, "I wonder what's inside? Too bad there isn't a box opener yet..." he said aloud. He shook the box and tried to open it himself before giving up and putting it away. He looked to Tallulah, "You okay? Those mightyenas are tough...i had to face two at once once...that's how I got this here Defense Scarf! Strange that that one was also wearing it." he looked toward the mightyena that had collapsed on the ground.

"Well, ain't that weird..." Tallulah mumbled, playing with the scarf in her paws. She could barely see it because of her built-in innertube. "Either way, I should be fine. I can walk it off," she stated, "But something to quicken the healing process would be nice..."

Tallulah got up, brushing herself off. "We should get going before something gets us," she said, looking around the clearing. There was only one way to go, not counting the way they came. "After you."

Acro led the way, he strained his ears in search of the sound of rushing water. He had began growing a bit frustrated, why couldn't he find it? Had he been going in circles? He sniffed the air and only smelled trees and dirt. He decided to speak to Tallulah, "So, you from rainfront town?" he asked. Not looking at Tallulah and focusing on the path.

Tallulah frowned for a moment. "Nope, I used to live at a cottage along the coast of the Small Pond. I dunno why we didn't live at Rainfront," she explained, following Acro. "By the way, if you're seaching for a waterfall, let the water type be the guide." Tallulah took a long sniff and her tails pointed in the direction she smelled it. "Its either a close puddle or a far off waterfall, but there's water in that direction."

Tally had no idea why Acro wanted to find the Monochrome Falls or whatever it was called, and wasn't planning on asking why. She just continued on right behind him.

Acro nodded, at least this was better than what he was doing. He had been roaming aimlessly, which had gotten him lost. He let Tallulah lead the way, "I hope it's the waterfall, I've always wanted to see a waterfall..." Acro daydreamed about waterfalls he had seen in books and posters. He found it amazing how the water created such a roar that was described in text.

"I've seen artificial waterfalls before, but you didn't come from a water type family, did you?" Tallulah said, her senses keen and picking up a slight bit of water. And maybe something else a bit up ahead. Whatever it was, she was in the best position to find it: right up front in the lead. Tally felt proud to be leading, but she knew deep inside that it was only because she was fit for it, being a water type.

"No. I'm a Rock/flying type. Water isn't exactly my thing."Acro shook his head. He looked at the ground, "Truth be told, i hate water. It makes my feathers damp and heavy, and it's just uncomfortable. Water is fun sometimes though." he added the last bit when he remembered him and George playing in the small pond.

Tallulah smiled. "Water can be your greatest friend or worst enemy, a helpful tool or a deadly weapon...It all depends on the person using it." She sighed. "My mother said that to me and my siblings all the time. Well, more to them anyway..." Absorbed in thought about her family, the Buizel didn't notice the berry on the ground until she almost stepped on it. She had her good tail scoop it up and then examined it.

"Its a Cherri Berry." Tally said quietly. "Probably won't do much, seeing as I wasn't paralyzed buy the bite, but it might come in handy later," she said, putting it in a small pocket of her Treasure Bag. She then slung the bag over her shoulder as it was before.

There was now a fork in the narrow road, Tallulah's senses favoring the right path, though detecting something faint to the left. "I'm picking up water along each of these paths. Which way should we go?" Tally asked Acro, taking a long sniff of the air.

Acro shrugged, he thought he could hear something coming from the path on the right. He thought he could hear a waterfall, "Let's go right...if we don't find anything we'll come back and go left." he suggested. He looked to Tallulah to see if she would agree, his feathers were slightly ruffled by the wind but fixed themselves back into place.

Tallulah nodded and took the right path as suggested by Acro. Tally continuec on silently, trying to hear the waterfall. She heard something, too. Still, the Buizel couldn't figure out who or what it was...

Acro heard something too, he became uneasy as the rustling became closer and closer. He knew it was pokemon, he just wondered what pokemon it was and when the pokemon was going to attack. His wing held a silver tint as he prepared a steel wing for if the pokemon attacked.

Tallulah figured out the sound quickly. It was a rustling bush, which definately had a Pokemon in it. Tallulah got into her fighting stance, her tails forming into a pre-Sonicboom postition. She waited, but nothing came out. Tallulah broke a stick off of a nearby tree and used it to part the leaves. It was a Swadloon, though it's leaf cloak was ripped. The Bug Pokemon was hiding and fixing its cloak in a bush as to not get caught. It got so surprised seeing someone finding it that it almost rolled backwards onto his back.

"So, uh... Are we gonna attack it?" Tallulah asked. "It looks kinda scared, y'know. I don't think its go- Gaammuuummff!" Tallulah couldn't finish her sentence when the Swadloon used Stringshot and wrapped the sticky silk around Tallulah's mouth. She fought and tore at the web, struggling to break free of the sticky thread. Soon her paws were sticky and she was stuck breathing through her nose.
