Flying Solo

"Here we go..." the spectre whispers to himself. This wasn't something he was used to for sure, though it wasn't intimidating. It'd be simple; enter, find the guildmaster and inquire about signing up. A simple process, the only thing he'd worry about messing up would be first impressions.

He takes no time in entering the guild, though that pace is significantly slackened once he does enter. It was fairly busy, though it was expected. After all, he'd heard about this place when he'd lived days of travelling away! The only thing left to do now would be to find the guildmaster and request an audience.

"Oh, yes," Faye chuckled softly as she walked to the closet in the corner of her room, opening it before she started to search for the right items. She took out a map and a badge that marked the Shuppet as a Guild member, putting them into a brand new bag to wait for their new owner. All were important things for a new explorer, but there always was something else the Meganium wanted to add as a surprise…

"Now, a lot of the supplies you bring with you into dungeons are something you have to stock up on yourself," the Guildmaster glanced over her shoulder with a smile as the Shuppet questioned about the supplies before she turned her gaze back to the closet,
"But right now, I'm preparing you a bag, a map and a badge… And, oh."

There it was, when Faye's eyes settled on a certain ribbon with a nice, silver color. Yes, that looked like it would fit, Snatching it swiftly from the basket, the Meganium put it into the bag with her vine. The closet door closed behind her as she turned to Gaige, putting the bag down to the ground next to him.
"A little gift from me," she smiled before continuing,
"You don't have to worry about food or your health while you stay at the Guild, as we will provide you with such services."

Gaige attempts to peer at what the guildmaster was retrieving. Being rather small in comparison, he couldn't quite see everything she'd been putting into the bag, though the explanation would certainly clear that up later. The bow, however was somewhat unexpected.

"I'm not one to refuse anything given freely," He says, eyeing the bag. He doesn't try to lift it yet though, anticipating a bit more before the two departed. The end note was something he hadn't considered, yet the shuppet thought it to be more than fair. "And in return," he asks, "I'm assuming you're taking a cut off of whatever bounties I take care of? I mean, I wouldn't expect you to provide that and space to live for free."

"That's right, sweetie," Faye gave the Shuppet a nod when he guessed that the Guild was running on the money that the Guild members earned through the jobs,
"A Guild this size requires a lot of Poké to run. You won't be left completely without a reward even if it's less than what a client pays us – and we have a bigger need for Poké instead of items, so the items tend to be something that you can keep and do with as you see fit," she continued with a smile as she explained it a bit more in detail. Gaige had guessed right and probably had an idea of what was going to happen, but it seemed like a good idea to make everything clear right from the start.

"Once you are done with your tea and you feel like you want to continue, I can give you a little tour of the Guild and show you your room."

Gaige listens, nodding occasionally. He of course liked money but items? That could technically mean anything, couldn't it? He smirks, thoughts of potential rewards entering his head. Though the value of money itself was nothing to be understated. The need for the cash by the guild was more than fair enough, he certainly wouldn't mind parting with a portion of his earnings for that. He was more than ready to get started here. He quickly finishes the tea, though he wasn't rushing. When he is finished, he rises from the seat in front of the desk and replies. "Alright, thank you. It has been quite a while since I've had a decent cup of tea. May we begin now?"

"Why, you're welcome, sweetie," Faye laughed softly at the compliments towards her tea, nodding at the end to show that she was ready to begin as well. She waited for the ghost to follow her before she started to make her way out of the door, her pace calm and relaxed as she led the newest Guild member through the many halls. She didn't show him the entire Guild, as many hallways were just full of doors to the quarters of other teams – and perhaps there was some exploration Gaige wanted to do on his own. But she did show him the most important parts, the mess hall, the sick bay, the bulletin board from which missions could be taken after they had been approved by the Guild… Everything the Shuppet needed to get started.

And finally, she returned to the living quarters section, stopping in front of a door she soon opened. On the other side was a small room – one made to house two Pokémon perhaps, with barely any furniture but some material for bedding.
"And this shall be the room of your team, dearie. It's not big and there's not much in it, but many teams tend to only sleep in their rooms. Of course, if you wish to make it look more like yourself, you can decorate it as you see fit. And in case your team grows, we will be assigning you a larger room."
