Synd'r 1

21 - 20 for entry.
Inventory;
x3 Reviver Seeds
A Vulpix padded gently through the fresh layer of snow that covered the icy forest floor, her dusky red fur standing out against the white of her environment. She didn't seem to care though, feeling right at home in the area despite her type. She looked up at the grey sky, watching as gentle snowflakes drifted down from the clouds. Her tawny gaze followed one such snowflake as it drifted to land neatly on her nose, staying there for half a second before it began to melt due to the heat of her body.

It was a little sad really, how something so small and beautiful could be erased so quickly and easily. But despite this, the snowfall seemed to relax her in a way that not much else could nowadays. Perhaps she should journey here more often.

Deciding to enjoy the sight for a little longer before moving on, the Vulpix sat down gently in the snow, curling her six tails around her legs and just staring up at the pale sky, a small sliver of a smile making it's way onto her features.

Synd'r 22

Inventory;
x2 Reviver Seeds
To Find;
-Heal Seed (x2)
-Blue Gummi
-Sitrus Berry

Yet to Encounter;
-Weavile
-Delibird

To Use in RP;
-Reviver Seed (x1)

The Vulpix sat up and curled her tails around her legs, very briefly inspecting them and deciding that other than a dull throb from the one that had been trapped beneath the tree trunk, they were all fine. She also seemed not to have sustained any major injuries, and Mercury was cheerful enough for her to assume that she hadn't been injured either. Cana had quickly scrambled to her feet and also appeared unharmed... but it wasn't like she cared!

Back on her feet, Synd'r whipped around to face the Mamoswine. It was still angry, even after knocking those trees over, but the Vulpix didn't quite understand what it was so mad about.
"I think Cana is right here, Mercury," she added, supporting the yellow furred Fennekin, "I don't think it wants to be your friend."

The Mamoswine cried out once again, roaring loudly and lowering it's tusks as if to charge at the three of them once more.

Mercury frowned and cocked her head. "I don't know, friends; really, really, really, really big friend seems pretty insistent on play fighting..." Mercury commented. " They sure aren't being a very good sport about it, though," she pouted, staring up at the behemoth. "Nobody likes a spoil sport, big friend, and you are being a spoooi-el sport," the smaller fox huffed. She reached into the the folds of her ribbons with her mouth and drew out a yellow object, then chucked it into the the behemoth's mouth. It closed it's mouth immediately and swallowed it out of habit, as if in shock and also as if attempting to divert the seed from embedding itself into it's respiratory system.

At first, nothing happened. there was a moment of awkward hang time where the mammoth pokemon just stared at the three foxes and the smallest fox stared back. Then the mammoth pokemon grew enraged once again, starting to charge. It didn't charge very confidently though, and the charge died down into a stagger as the mammoth started to look very disoriented.

"Play by the rules or don't play at all!!!!" Mercury yelled, before taking a deep breath and then spewing hot embers at big rude friend.

Cana glanced at the Vulpix as she spoke up. She hoped they would be able to take the large Pokemon down with the three of them. Cana wasn't even sure if the smaller Fennekin was going to fight with them. Cana could see the feral getting ready to charge at them again. Getting hit by one of its tusks it didn't seem like it would do any of them any good.

The yellow fox was surprised about the reaction of the smaller Fennekin. She had been acting as a small child so far and she had expected she would keep doing so. Cana didn't expect that the child would throw a seed into the mouth of the large Pokemon. It happened too fast for the older Fennekin to see what kind of seed it was, but she realized it shortly after the feral had swallowed it.

Cana was probably not able to hide her surprise as she stared at the odd colored Fennekin. She somehow got the large Pokemon disoriented and was now fighting it. Cana totally hadn't expected that. She shook her head. That was not the time to think about such things. She had to focus on the feral. Cana turned her attention back towards the large feral and decided to help the child by also firing small embers at it.

PostSubject: Re: Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape   Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 EmptySun Mar 27, 2016 8:53 pm

Synd'r had to admit she too was surprised when Mercury produced a seed and threw it towards the Mamoswine. She couldn't help but wonder what seed it was, but the enraged individual's disorientated behaviour a few moments later seemed to lead to a somewhat logical conclusion of a Blinker Seed.

"Nice shot," she complemented the younger Fennekin, joining the older one to launch an Ember move towards the Mamoswine. Using her species's natural ability to control fire, she formed her and Cana's efforts into one larger fiery attack that ended up colliding with the Mamoswine. It bellowed loudly after being bit by the combined attack, but due to being unable to see, could not retaliate in the correct direction.

Synd'r looked on with a frown. She would most like to make sure it couldn't charge again by hypnotising it, but Hypnosis required eye contact and that was something she certainly wasn't going to achieve whilst the Mamoswine could not even see it's own nose.
"I think it'll take a lot to defeat it outright," she commented, directing her words mostly to Cana as she supposed Mercury would do whatever she wanted, "I do think it would be beneficial to work together."

Mercury felt proud at the successful launch of her seed trick; surely that would put the spoil sport in his place! She watched him totter around for a bit, still thinking about what else they would need to win the game. Since spoil sport was so much bigger than them, they should definitely have some extra handicaps... which gave Mercury another idea. She dug into her ribbons and pulled another seed out, dashing over to the Red Fluff friend and Similar-but-Not-the-Same friend.

"Red friend!!! Carrot!!! Mercury exclaimed, dashing over to the other two foxes. "Look, look!! Spoil sport's cheating because he's so big, but I've got another handicap for that!!" Mercury announced proudly, producing the Vile Seed she had brought and offering it to the other two foxes as she called together friends for an impromptu strategy meeting. "Somebody else should throw it though, because now Spoil Sport knows I have handicaps and stuff with me. Maybe I can trick him somehow, and then one of you friends can throw it! Or maybe we can trip him and put the seed in his mouth when he falls!" the small fox suggested, wagging her tail with excitement.

The Mammoswine continued to bobble around under the effects of the seed, unsure of where it was supposed to be aiming. It crashed into a couple of trees nearby, causing them to snap and break apart.

(Energy: 6)

Cana had to agree with the Vulpix. The feral seemed really strong. They had to think of something. "Do you have any ideas?" She asked towards the Vulpix. Now was no time for distrust. She had to trust the Vulpix and work together with her and the other Fennekin.

The smaller Fennekin ran towards them and said some weird things. Did it call her Carrot? She assumed she did. From what Cana could make out of it, the child was saying the feral was cheating because he was so big and that she had something for that. The child didn't make a lot of sense. How were they supposed to trip the large feral? The feral was blind for as far as she knew because of the blinker seed. She didn't know when it would wear off.

Cana could see the large Pokemon stumbling around and crashing into some trees. He really was strong. Was that seed really going to help them? The Fennekin stared at the Vulpix, hoping she would come up with some sort of plan.

PostSubject: Re: Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape   Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 EmptyTue Mar 29, 2016 3:29 pm

The Vulpix listened to both Mercury and Cana, not particularly minding her new nickname of Red, although she could probably find some way to dispute the friend part. The younger Fennekin had certainly come prepared to this dungeon, with all of these seeds that afflicted the consumer with different effects. She had to commend her forethought, even if she was so young. However, she doubted that mere seeds alone would be enough to take down the large pokemon.

"You probably have the best aim our of all of us," Synd'r commented, nodding to Mercury, "And the Mamoswine still can't see us, so I think it's best that you throw your other seed."

She then looked to Cana, "As for other ideas... I am able to use Hypnosis on it, but only when it can see as I need eye contact for it to work," she replied, hurriedly explaining, "If we can keep it at bay until the Blinker Seed wears off, I can probably put it to sleep."

Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape   Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 EmptyThu Mar 31, 2016 11:28 pm

It seemed as though Mercury's friends thought that she should be throwing the seed, and after seeing how nutty Spoil Sport was acting the tiny fox decided it would indeed be better to do something while the big lunkhead was incapacitated. Mercury ran over to the tree wreckage and hopped on top of the tippy-top tree, getting a good shot at the Mammoswine before chucking the second seed. It landed in the creatures half-open maw, and in it's disoriented state it ate the seed without a second thought. The seed drained away at the creature's energy, weakening it to a previous state of it's overall strength. As Mercury scrambled to get back to the ground, however, the haphazard pile of trees began to give way and tumble town a steep hill directly behind where they had once been stacked. Mercury got stuck on a rolling log, running with it as it rolled down, then hopping to a nearby sliding log when the velocity of the first became too much for her.

Mercury rode the second log like a toboggan down to the bottom of the steep hill, jumping into a nearby pile of snowy leaves as the broken tree crashed into another three below. The tiny fox scrambled out of the snow as quickly as possible, shaking the demon fluff off of her fuzzy body before it really started to burn. The white death was deep here, though; it was up to her mouth when she was standing on all fours. Mercury looked at the hill pensively.

"Huh..." She frowned. "How do I get up that?"

PostSubject: Re: Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape   Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 EmptyThu Mar 31, 2016 11:50 pm

Cana nodded towards the Vulpix. The plan seemed good enough. "Should we just....hit it with Ember until the effect wears off?" She asked the Vulpix. Hypnosis did seem like a good plan, but it was probably their best option. Cana didn't know if her Heat Wave would be strong enough. She didn't want to use it until it was truly necessary. Using it always took a bit of energy from her. Not as much as it did in the past, but still enough to rather only use it in emergencies.

Cana saw how the other Fennekin had moved towards the Mamoswine. It didn't exactly seem safe. Would she really be ok? Cana hoped so. Just as the other Fennekin had thrown the seed into the mouth of the large feral, the pile of trees began to shift and started going down the slope. Cana ran a bit closer, but there was nothing she could do.

The Fennekin was watching how the smaller Fennekin was running across a rolling log and then jumped on a different one to slide further down the hill. All trees crashed near some other trees down the hill. She was really worried now. She tried to get a better look, and to her relief, she did see the small Fennekin in a snowy pile, or at least, she thought she did. The child was pretty far down.

The Mamoswine did seem to have had some trouble with the logs as well but it was still there, maybe only a few meters lower than before. Cana turned her attention back to the Vulpix. Her normally shy air was completely gone for now. "We need to get to her. We can't leave that child alone down there. What if she got hurt?" Cana said with a voice of urgency. The Fennekin glanced at the Mamoswine one more time before she started to descent the hill.

PostSubject: Re: Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape   Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 01, 2016 3:19 am

Synd'r watched as Mercury managed to get the seed into the Mamoswine's mouth, it once again swallowing such a tiny object on instinct. It, and Mercury then proceeded to be pulled down the slope by the rolling trees, although the younger Fennekin seemed to almost enjoy part of the journey down.

There was nothing either she nor Cana could do to halt the movement of the fallen trees and so they could merely watch on and hope that Mercury would be okay. When she came to the bottom, she did seem to be fine, if a little swamped by the thick layer of snow.

The Vulpix then turned to Cana as she urgently said that they needed to get to Mercury.
"She'll be fine. If we go straight down there we'll just draw the Mamoswine's attention to her and make it more dangerous. We need to create noise up here to draw it back towards us. That slope is a dead end, if it slips any further it'll just land straight on top of her," Synd'r reasoned, moving to the edge of the slope.

She then glanced back to Cana, "Make as much noise as possible, and when it climbs back up, use your Ember attack on me," she continued, before she turned back to the slope and began to yap and bark down at the Mamoswine, drawing it's blind attention back up towards her.

PostSubject: Re: Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape   Fire Doesn't Have to Ruin the Snowscape - Page 2 EmptySat Apr 09, 2016 9:58 pm

Mercury was thoroughly perplexed by the issue set before her, but before she could react further she was distracted by the sound of barking above her. She looked up, and there was fluffy butt friend. She was... barking? Was she barking at Mercury? Mercury looked around at her surroundings, then looked back up at fluffy in confusion. She stared, waiting for a cue into what she was supposed to be looking for, until a rustling made her turn her head.

It was sore loser, being held up by a few stray logs that were making a net between two trees. Mercury jumped back in surprise. So that's what fluffy butt was barking about! Mercury was at the disadvantage here! If sore loser noticed her, they'd easily have the momentum of the hill behind them and Mercury would easily lose! Thankfully, sore loser's back was mostly to Mercury, so she still had a chance to get away unnoticed. The behemoth seemed to be more interested in fluffy butt's barking, at this point, so it was the perfect time for Mercury to make a run for the nearby trees.

As Mercury made it behind one of the thicker trunks, she heard a sharp snapping sound, along with what sounded like fibrous grinding. She looked around the tree, and saw sore loser pushing against the tree net, trying to gain momentum. They caught their stride, then pushed up the hill towards where Fluffy Butt friend and Carrot were standing. Mercury watched very carefully, noticing the clean path that sore loser was cutting into the snow on the hill. Perhaps now the hill would be more climbable!

Before Mercury could run out to check, she got hit in the back of the head with something that was so could it burned. It was wet and hard, and she yipped in pain and surprise upon impact. She whirled around, and caught a figure looking in the distance. She dashed deeper into the trees, searching out the culprit.

Cana really wanted to go to the other Fennekin, but she knew the Vulpix was right. The large feral could end up crushing the small girl. Cana hesitated for a moment before she decided to help the Vulpix with drawing its attention to them.

It seemed to be working. The Mamoswine was trying to storm towards them, but it seemed to be stuck. Cana tjought that it would not be able to get free but she was wrong. After breaking down some trees, it came their way. Cana jumped back and fired some small flames at the Vulpix as she had asked her to.

(Now I am remembering to roll)
