| Just to start, technically, this RP is private. I was going to have it open, but the amount that had been planned as the maximum was already reached by interested people. You know who you are. Well…shit, you’ve all done this before. If you need a refresher or don't know, just check the other sign-up thread. Really, same concept. Pick a character from any sort of roleplay/story/anything that you created, and everyone’s getting thrown around each others’ worlds for an as of yet unexplained reason to the characters. Figure out why it’s happening, survive, do all that stuff. Anyways, here’s the bio form. Or, if you’d rather fill out something just slightly bigger, you can find that thread Kat posted for the Huge Character Sheet and fill it out. I will read through all of it and you may make me cry. Alright. Here’s the Bio Form: - Code:

| Bio FormName: Harvey Arden Species: Human Age: 24 Sex: Male Gender: Male Appearance: Minus the scythe on this picture because the scythe has been revamped. |D - Spoiler:
Personality(Optional): I shall take the option to opt out on personality because it's hard to explain. History:Harvey was born in Limbicity with albinism and other than that everything about him was fairly normal, however his normal life lasted a grand total of a single month, since the moment he was born things in the operating room were being flung about in random directions. This was due to a high connection between his emotion and his magic that was stronger than most humans. He was swiftly sought after by the government, and had 'died' due to tragic illness due to his supposed albinism. In reality the government had taken him off to training camp before he could really bond with his parents or do much of anything. He was doped up on medication for a while, but eventually he grew to be fairly normal save for the white hair, red eyes, paler skin and less than average immune system requiring injections up until his magic was controlled enough for him to protect himself enough. Once he was 'set up', his health issues resolved and his magic and emotions under control, physical training began. Joanne trained him alongside 20 other disciples, though only 17 members made it into the Unit 001, the other five they were told had to be returned to the civilian life while a new member, Alan joined the group from somewhere unknown to Harvey, he just kind of...started coming to the meetings one day all of a sudden. Despite his questions, he was merely told that it was confidential information but was praised for the attention to detail. Having gotten used to this kind of mindset, he dismissed it. The disciples were finally promoted, and they became known as Emergency Magic Attack Team(EMAT) UNIT 001 to those that were allowed to know. They were sent to fight against entire armies, but due to the magic the power of tanks were rendered useless as they were easily overturned and soldiers were swept away like flies. The first few missions ended in success, until the attacking country finally dished out their own secret weapons, other magic users. Two died in the process, but it only fueled EMAT UNIT 001's magic as their emotions of rage and sorrow simply was channeled into the magic. The reaction to the death seemed to unnerve the foe, causing them to retreat at the power. Harvey noticed something different about the other magic users, they seemed just as powerful, and yet they still seemed to express emotions just fine. He paid no intention to this for the longest time, for they were the enemy. They were the ones trying to invade their home. It was his duty to protect it. Various missions occurred, some all out battles, wrecking terrain, and rendering weapons that were previously thought to be dangerous as useless. Normal humans could not hope to fight the new magic users head on, and instead resorted to surprise and ranged attacks. Despite being powerful, defense was not exactly their strong suit. One could easily blow through fire and water, and they soon learned that bringing metal to the fight was even more dangerous than anything else. Soon wars turned even more dangerous than before, the chance of friendly fire increasing as the battles grew increasingly more intense. Harvey had been kept to the sidelines with Skeet, having been assigned as the newbie's babysitter to make sure they didn't do anything stupid like rush into the main battlefront with little training and experience. Instead they kept to picking off the weaker foes and assisting the soldiers that braved the front amidst the chaos during the clashes of the magic users. However, during one battle, Skeet could no longer remain at the sidelines for some strange reason Harvey could not quite understand, and rushed into an all out war between the entirety of EMAT UNIT 001 and a massive amount of magic users from the opposing country. Doing what he was supposed to do, he chased after Skeet in attempt to stop him. Skeet got mixed up in the combat, and one of the foes with a frighteningly large war hammer started chasing after Harvey. They swung, and Harvey had little time to react, only just managing to get the earth near him to jut upwards in attempt to propel himself out of the way of the attack, however he was a bit off in the moment of panic, and instead the earth acted as a poor shield. The hammer crashed through it, but cushioned the blow enough to not break every bone in his body. Instead, he was knocked quite a bit away from the fight where he lost consciousness. The role-play will pick up the story from there. Important Relations:EMAT UNIT 001 - This is the first magic-using unit to have achieved full pass for military combat and have engaged in actual combat against other magic users. It's existence is kept a secret to the public, there's a total of 16 members in this unit, however only 5 are notable to Harvey as friends(or at least as close as he could get), people he's fought alongside with, and have gone on missions with. This unit is comprised of 12 females and 4 males, now before someone does something like call "SEXIST" or something like that, females are more emotional when looked at by their stereotype, this isn't exactly a perfect society, so they focus more around females when looking for magic users since magic is based off of emotion. Skeet - A newbie to the unit who is still undergoing training and is the first to try training at an older age rather than the usual childhood/baby age. He prefers not to share his real name and instead desires to be referred to as Skeet. His weapon is a unique one of a kind specially built at his request, a yo-yo. The yo-yo is a durable weapon meant to be used as a blunt object but also to protect itself from explosive impacts that it deals when striking something. The string can reach quite a distance and the thread is known to be capable of severing heads without snapping. Skeet is a headstrong and naive individual who still has plenty of emotion left showing itself and his magic is still fairly weak compared to the fully trained. Skeet favors hanging around Harvey since the two are closer in age than the rest of the unit and Harvey is the only one to know that Skeet is actually a woman. Harvey suspects that "he" might be romantically interested in him, but Skeet has already addressed this manner saying that they'd rather not date someone as dull as him even if Harvey were interested. Skeet refuses to talk about before the military unit, why they're pretending to be a man and actually joined the unit willingly. (i'll just be referring 'her' as a him unless they for some reason go "Okay i'm done being a man now" in the rp) Alan Latofern - An older and more experienced member of the unit that possess the ability to manipulate living beings to an odd degree and does not use a weapon. Alan can manipulate plant life and small animals completely though the animals and plant life usually end up dying after being controlled. Alan can throw off an enemy's aim by forcing their arm, leg, something on them to twitch but it does not work a second time usually since they pay more attention to control over their body after the first screw up. Alan is often taken to do a variety of tests and experiments when at the home base as the scientists attempt to discover just what is making him able to control living beings. Alan has been completely trained and thus has no visible negative emotions, though there are rumors floating around about that his emotions peaked so high that he snapped in the middle of a fight and all soldiers within a mile died within an instant. Alan refuses to acknowledge the rumor, seeing it as preposterous and impossible. Alan and Harvey are often paired together for missions, and thus know each other's dynamic and fighting style well. Joanne Brandy - The head commander of the unit that has had complete training but not in the magic variety. She does not have intense magical powers and equate to that of a normal human. What she lacks in she makes up for her vitality and sheer power. She wields guns but specializes in swordsmanship and is known to have been promoted after defeating and killing 5 magic-users in combat by herself, though this is a grossly blown up rumor as the users were not fully trained and the mission was an assassination mission rather than full on combat. She trains the unit physically and delivers missions to them. She highly sympathizes the unit and believes what they're doing is wrong, but values duty over heart and does nothing to actively stop it however she does try to show the emotionless batch a good time. Bonnie & Clyde - Identical twin brother and sister that have been under the care of the military since birth. They purposely make each other appear exactly the same and both train in subjects completely different from one another. They both favor guns and knives though one more than the other. The two are identical in every way aside from gender, but they both appear equally as feminine as masculine so it is literally impossible to tell them apart unless you either look down there or have been around them long enough to notice the slight changes in battle style and behavior. The unit often refers to them as one person simply split into two, and those that don't know them well usually address them as the name BC for both of them rather than trying to discern one from the other. Bonnie is more adept at magic while Clyde is masterful with combat, and utilize this in order to confuse the foes they team up against and overpower them during that confusion. Harvey is often sent on missions with these two as well and is capable of telling these two apart, able to refer to Bonnie and Clyde as Bonnie and Clyde correctly. The two use a war hammer that is capable of being either one big hammer or two smaller ones. Gear:Scythe -At first glance, the scythe seems to be just a standard scythe used for harvesting in the farming industry. At a closer look, one could tell that it has some rather advanced technology going on behind it. The blade and grow slightly longer if needed and a second blade can be ejected at the other end in the opposite direction of the first. Though this is as far as the technology goes as the blade is more adapted to make channeling magic slightly easier and fit the fighter's style more. This scythe is not a one of a kind thing although is fairly uncommon channel weapon in the Lobus Country. -The scythe has a small voice-activated interface that pops out from the side of the sythe away from the blade that allows for translation detection and identification. Harvey can speak what he wants to say to the scythe and the scythe will translate it in a way he can read out loud, though the translation can be a bit awkward sometimes. This also features a GPS(Useless in all but his own world due to lack of compatible satellites), a calculator, and the scythe can also connect to the internet and perform various tasks in Harvey's world such as research and answering certain questions along with doubling as a communicator, but it requires government authorization and compatible satellites in order to work. The blade also holds his Identification within it, such as name, city, ect. Beginning Abilities: Basic Combat Training - Despite his amnesia, the vigorous training for combat still sticks through to him. He still knows how to utilize his scythe to his advantage and perform well in fighting with it. Weak Uncontrollable Magic - Harvey knows little of this magic, and does not quite know it exists nor how to control it so it kind of just does its own thing if it even does anything in the first place. Effects still in place is a boosted immune system(making it difficult to catch things like a common cold unless he purposely tried to get one though illnesses are quite devastating if they go through) with boosted regeneration though it's far from instantaneous. Cue silly shenanigansPeak Abilities: Advanced Combat Training - He will gain the knowledge on how to combine the uses of his scythe and combine it to strengthen his melee attacks should ranged be unavailable for some reason. For example, knowing how to set the scythe on fire to deal burns to cuts he makes along with how to do things like 'slice the air' (the thing you often see things in anime do ;P) Manipulation Emotion Magic - He will be able to control the elements to his will such as earth, fire, and all that jazz. -The more "emotional" he is feeling the stronger his magic becomes, frustration, anger, sadness, and even sense of victory will empower the magic. However becoming a bit 'too' emotional might lead to loss of control and an utter breakdown. -He can only control one element at a time in a mass amount and that element must be present in order to be controlled. Meaning he can't just magic fire into existence there has to be a small spark of flame for him to grow and use, however an element similar to water is limited to the amount of water in the area unlike fire that can quickly feed on nearly anything and grow bigger quicker. He IS capable of controlling things like metals and shifted them with ease making the thought of learning to be a blacksmith a joke. -His specialty is water magic and all other magic is generally weaker than his water magic, aka do not challenge this guy near an ocean. He favors forming the water into creatures as they are easier to control than a massive blob thing. -He cannot control anything that's living, meaning he could possibly move a dead body around, but a living breathing person is a big no-no. -He can only do elemental manipulation magic, no mind games, no teleportation, no making things happen out of thin air. Telekinesis is still an option since its contolling elements within the object to lift and move them. -If you're confused then just think of him as the Avatar from The Last Airbender with telekinesis and you've pretty much got it. -boosted immune system with boosted regeneration once again, though this is no different from the beginner abilities. Note: In his world people like him are considered a top grade military weapon that can fend off tanks and rendering them useless. So of course he's going to be rather strong. Universe of origin: Limbicity of the Country of Lobus Other:His country has a very different language than normal, and thus has a different language than English. I will be portraying what he says if it's English though other characters cannot magically understand what he's saying unless they have some kind of translator spell or something. He'll learn the language and once he pieces things together he'll begin speaking broken sentences and such. WORLD NUTSHELL:This world exists in the modern times with slightly advanced technology that is not available to the public and also is a world where magic has become a thing that exists. The magic in this world is connected to human emotion and the more emotional someone is, the more magic 'power' they have. The average person is capable of doing simple things like levitating small objects and controlling very small amounts of the elements(Fire, water, ect) but there are those that have a deeper emotional connection that can either be present from birth or artificially recreated into a human as a small child. The magic is uncontrollable at first but the government takes the children and puts them through special training that numbs their emotions and allows them full use and control of their magic. Those children are then shipped off to training camp where they use their abilities to learn how to fight and become a part of the military as weapons in a special unit called EMAT. The country is keeping EMAT a secret from the public, as the public dislikes the dulling of emotions in favor of allowing someone to enjoy the feeling of, well, feeling. So EMAT is a secret unit that was built to fight back against a country that is attacking their country also with Magic users however the magic users there seem to be just as powerful and still retain their emotions.

| Bio FormName: Nieve Species: Human / Mockingbird Zoan Age: 21 Sex: Female Gender: Female Appearance:Nieve stands at 6'1" and has a somewhat muscular figure due to carrying around wood and parts for making ships. She has short, fluffy auburn hair that reaches just shy of her shoulders. Reddish-brown feathers can be spotted within her hair, camoflaged with their similar colour and though her ears are usualy hidden by her hair, they too have feathers growing from their tips. Nieve's eyes are a golden amber colour and her skin has a light tan to it. Nieve wears a pale-brown button down, collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. Over this, she wears a standard waistcoat, dark red in colour and kept unbuttoned The short tails of her shirt are left untucked over her deep red shorts and Nieve wears a brown belt with gold chains attached to it which she keeps her little compass rose keychain attached to. Nieve wears grey leggings underneath her shorts and on her feet wears dark brown ankle-high boots. Personality(Optional):Gonna take the optional route here cause I'm lazy xD History:The short version; Nieve ate a devil fruit when she was younger and not really understanding how to control it, she often switched forms without meaning to. The children in her school latched onto the idea of picking on her for her freakish appearance and being a reckless child who would yell back, Nieve would often get into fights. She was almost always overpowered however and after a while Nieve attempted to learn how to fight through library books since her parents weren't the type to allow her to learn such things. Instead of finding fighting techniques in the books however, Nieve stumbled upon an old book and within it a short paragraph on the lost art of electrokinesis. Ever since she was a young child she'd taken to taking things apart and seeing how they worked, and the idea of having such a huge power source at her finger tips made her wonder what she could build with that ability to power her creations. She began to self teach herself based on the small amounts of information left in the books. She still got in fights, but tended to try and avoid getting hit more than retaliating. As time grew on she got a handle on her zoan powers and was able to change or retain her form at her leisure. Nieve took to using her mockingbird vocal chords to mimic sounds to freak out those who would pick on her. When she was old enough she got a sort of internship at the local ship building company, allowing her to learn how to build vast ships from under the tutelage of the best shipwright on Rukh Nyla. She'd take the skills she learned here along with her own knowledge and often work on her own projects whenever she had free time. She also kept up practice with her electrokinesis, working to improve how she used it and also working to keep her voice trained so that she could continue to mimic the sounds that she wanted to. After that, Nieve's life was pretty much the same and she'd continue to tinker with technology and learn more about ship building until Toriru Shiori and her crew reached Rukh Nyla on their quest to traverse the Grand Line. Events lead to Nieve building a new ship for the Chime Pirates with her skills as a shipwright and Shiori offered Nieve a place on the crew as their official shipwright so that she could take care of the Summer Snow(the ship) even after it left Rukh Nyla. As the opportunity would allow Nieve to follow her own dreams of learning more about the power of electrokinesis, she agreed and joined the Chime Pirates and continues to sail through the Grand Line with them as her crew mates. Important Relations:Relatives-Parents; Eamon and Saorla - Still living on Nieve's home island of Rukh Nyla, Eamon is Nieve's father and works as a blacksmith on the island whilst Saorla is Nieve's mother and works as a caterer if sorts with a part time job as a chef in one of the island's many restaurants. Mentors-Finscoth Owen - taught Nieve everything she knows about building ships and encourages her as she attempts to branch out and tinker with all sorts of things including today's limited mechanical technology. He's one of the few people on Rukh Nyla who knew about Nieve's electrokinetic abilities before she met Shiori. Crewmates-Toriru Shiori - the bubbly and cheerful captain of the Chime Pirates, Nieve looks up to Shiori and trusts her as the captain of the crew. Shiori is a bit naive at times, but she gives everything her all and doesn't back down from something she believes in and Nieve can't help but admire and respect her dedication in doing what she wants and loves no matter what anyone else thinks. Nieve built the Summer Snow, the Chime Pirates' ship, and entrusted her creation to the young captain before joining the crew herself. -Kunsei Hayes - a weird almost friendly rival to Nieve, Hayes is the cook of the Chime Pirates. She does enjoy Hayes's company however and will often be found in the galley when tinkering with her smaller creations. -Thyodor Caim - the helmsman of the Chime Pirates and as such, another of Nieve's crew mates, Nieve trusts Caim but finds that he doesn't always appreciate her mischievousness and more reckless antics. Caim is however still protective of Nieve in a way, same as he is with the rest of the crew. -Ryko Sola - Sola is the Markswoman of the Chime Pirates and though she is incredibly skilled at her craft, Nieve doesn't know all that much about her on account of her more shy and reserved personality. As such, Sola's relationship with Nieve and the rest of the crew seems to be more of a professional arrangement at the moment though Nieve hopes she will open up over time. -Daisuke - the doctor of the Chime Pirates, Daisuke often gets concerned for Nieve as she ends up injured fairly often due to her recklessness. That said, Nieve trusts and respects the young doctor and he seems to trust her in return. Gear:- Sword/Nodachi, Ran'un - forged for her by her father, Nieve named her sword Ran'un (roughly translated to storm cloud) after she learned to transfer electricity along its blade to extend her reach with her electrokinesis abilities in order to use them for combat purposes. The sword is about 70 inches in total, with the blade itself about 5 feet long. Nieve tends to wear it on her back or carry it when not in use, though she has a special wall mount for it on the Summer Snow. Ran'un's saya(scabbard) is polished black and engraved with intricate flower patterns. Below the scabbard's mouth a length of deep blue cord is tied, the colour matching that of the sword's hilt wrapping. It's tsuba(guard) is round and silver, and within the circle are intricate leaf designs similar to the patterns carved into the saya.
- Compass rose keychain with an eternal pose to Rukh Nyla built into it. It was a gift from her mother that was given to her shortly before Nieve left her home island to sail with the Chime Pirates. Though Saorla was hesitant at first to let her daughter become a pirate the gift symbolises that she'll still be welcome to come home no matter what if she ever needs to. It means a lot to Nieve since Soarla had always been a rather strict parent and Nieve had initially thought she would completely disapprove of her choices.
Beginning Abilities:A Zoan type devil fruit; the Tori Tori no Mi Model: Mockingbird allows the user to switch between full human form, half mockingbird form and full mockingbird form. In both full and half mockingbird forms, the user can mimic very specific sounds with more accuracy depending on how long the voice has been trained to mimic and how long it's been since the person's voice was used. It is easy to fall out of practice if a mockingbird model zoan does not use and train their voice regularly.
- Half-Mockingbird Form: Grants to user wings upon which they are able to fly, joined to the human body at the shoulder blades. They are grey feathered, identical to a northern mockingbird's wings, just larger so that they are proportional to the human body. The user's feet also become more bird-like, becoming clawed at the foot and scaled up to the knee. However, the limbs retain human shape other than the clawed feet. The user also gains a feathered tail to help with flight. Feathers also adorn the user's body in various places, including their ears and head. Most feathers are grey, but some are also found to match the user's hair colour.(Reddish-brown in Nieve's case)
- Full-Mockingbird Form: As mockingbirds are only about 28cm long from head to tail and only weigh about 45g, this form is not really adapted to be used for combat purposes.
Picture: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/aves/images/4/47/Northern_Mockingbird.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140914184055
- Normal/Human Form: Having had her devil's fruit for years, Nieve has learned to adapt certain things better than others and actually likes it when she has feathers on her ears and in her hair and so she consciously retains those features in her normal human form. Other than that, her normal form is the appearance she was born with as a human.
Nieve also possesses electrokinetic abilities gained through training herself. She can generate electricity from her body, as well as channel outside sources of electricity through her body and other such uses. It would not be a far cry to call this ability nothing short of electrical manipulation. After being given her nodachi, Nieve made the effort to learn how to use it and as such has limited knowledge in swordsmanship and how to use Ran'un in combat. Having been trained under the head shipwright of Rukh Nyla for a number of years, Nieve also is rather proficient at building ships. Her knowledge of building and creating does not stop there however and she is self taught in the mechanics and building of other technologies due to her own curiosity. Peak Abilities: A zoan devil fruit user can over time learn to just transform specific limbs and features, which Nieve is not quite capable of yet outside of a few feathers. In future she could probably learn to transform individual limbs when needed, or alter her forms using qualities from her human nature and the mockingbird fruit to make these forms better for what she wants to use them for. Universe of origin: One Piece Significant Place: I have two and I can't decide so i'll put both and decide later Rukh NylaNieve's home island, where her parents and mentors are found to live. The island is a spring island located in the Grand Line, meaning it's climate is relatively warm though it is found to rain fairly often. The islanders are fans of festivals and have several important holidays a year where they'll celebrate. It's quite traditional in it's practices and though the island isn't huge there are both larger settlements and small villages scattered across the island. Nieve lives in the large town of Sharrar, which starts from Rukh Nyla's busiest harbour and continues along a canal that reaches into the island. The outermost reaches of Sharrar border along a large forest that Nieve used to spend a lot of her younger years in, learning how to control her zoan powers and training her electrokinetic abilities. Summer SnowThe ship that Nieve built for the Chime Pirates, it has since become the home of her and the rest of the crew. Has a fully equipped kitchen and sickbay, store rooms, multiple cabins etc etc. |D Other: None atm

| Bio Form Name:Mira Theo'lith Species:Fey Age:46 (Appears to be in her late twenties. Note that Fey have exceedingly long life spans, as they are descended from High Elves.) Sex:Female Gender:Female Appearance: A door swings open at the front of the tavern. Rousing from your drink, you look over your shoulder to see a figure wrapped in a dark wool cloak enter the room. A hood is worn on the person's head, covering the face in shadow. The figure is tall. Very tall. By your estimate, around six and a half feet. The newcomer makes a quick gesture at the barman and then heads for a small booth in the corner. After sitting down, you are given the chance to examine the figure closer.
The cloak is long and seems to be made of a thick, fulled wool. It is worn at the bottom and a stain of mud and dirt has dirtied what at one time may have been a green color, turning it to a mucky brown. Judging by the muddy, scuffed boots, you surmise that the stranger is used to traveling.
Sheathed at the traveler's side is a long sword and a quiver of arrows hang on the back with the matching bow leaning against the end of the booth. The hilt of the sword seems to be of fine work, though whose work is left to question. The bow is less of a mystery. It is indeed of fine Elvish make, graceful but strong. You also spy another sheath hung across the person's chest, holding what would seem to be a large, dangerously curved knife. Along side the sword, there hangs an axe forged from a black metal, the edge sharp and gleaming. The head is equipped with a long, curved axe edge which slims to the other end down to a viscous looking spike, pointed like a knife. It is clear that the traveler is no stranger to a fight.
Underneath the cloak is a leather jerkin, mantle, and a few straps and buckles, all sufficiently scuffed and dirtied. A dark tabard hangs down to the knee. The traveler takes out a pipe which is decorated with intricate metal designs. As the figure lights a match, you make out the face beneath the hood. Your eyebrow raises slightly. A woman?
Looking more closely, you confirm the traveler's gender. Wide hips and a pronounced chest hide under all the leather and cloth. Examining the woman's face in the soft light emitted from the pipe, you make out near silver hair and a tanned complexion. Underneath the hood glare deep amber eyes, flecked with grey. The orbs dart in your direction and you quickly look away, not wishing to be caught staring.
Later, as a drink is brought over to the shady woman, you chance another glance. Reaching out her hand to take the glass, part of the woman's arm is revealed. Though it is partially covered by long sleeves, you make out a tattoo inked into the woman's wrist. Your eyes now widen as you see the mark of a Ranger of the Eiarthden. These Rangers are indeed queer folk and surely no good will come of one being in town.
For the rest of the night, you pay the Ranger no mind, not wishing to be caught by those eyes. However, when she eventually leaves, you cannot help but take one last peak. With that stolen glance, you see a flicker of something beneath the cloak? A tail?
No. You shake your head. Just another strange trick. All the stories you've heard tell of the strangeness of these folk and you're not about to let one pull a fast one on you. Soon you go back to your drink and the stranger becomes nothing more than another story to tell the fellows around the bar. Personality(Optional):Focused, self motivated, and generally unfettered, Mira has spent her life in pursuit an ideal. An individualist at heart, she has a very strong sense of justice and will let nothing get in the way of making sure her actions meet her expectations. Through years of travel and training, she has become bitter and jaded on the surface, giving off a cool demeanor and being sure to keep others distanced from herself. Somewhere inside is the fire of an idealist and an optimist, but it is quickly cooled before it can bubble to the surface. History:For years, the Fey have lived life as if on the run. They move from place to place, doing whatever is necessary to get by. They often produce families of many children, in an attempt to assure the survival of their bloodline. Tragically, sometimes these families find they do not have the means to support one or two children. As such, Fey foster children or orphans are a common occurrence in Urasis. Such was the fate of one child.
Left an orphan, the Fey girl was fortunately found by a most unlikely foster parent. A man by the name of Tabion found the girl on the edge of the Vendrali Forest and took her as his own. Tabion, being a kind and gentle man, raised the girl in his own way. He gave her the name of Mira Theo'lith which means 'Hopeful Light' in Elvish.
Long a member of the Eiarthden, Tabion would teach the girl the ways of the forest, traveling with her across the vast lands of Urasis and sometimes past it's borders. Before long, Tabion began to notice the changes in Mira as she blossomed to a young woman. Developing wolf ears, a tail, and growing to an impressive height, she left no doubt in Tabion's mind as to her heritage. Being educated in some lore, Tabion did his best to teach Mira of her people and help her cope with the changes.
Soon, Mira joined the Eiarthden herself, traveling alongside Tabion as an equal.
Presently, many years later, Mira travels alone. It is not know exactly what has become of her mentor and father, but it is now clear that Mira makes her way alone. My Drawing. Not my drawing. Personality(Optional): She's a kid. She's timid, but not without her childlike curiosities. Tries her best to be normal, despite her strangeness. Just kind of a normal fair tempered kid. History: In the before times, while the Earth was still young, Sister Marci used her ever-expanding powers to both creates and destroy. In front of her were settlements and new creation. Behind her, a carpet of destruction. However, whenever sister Marci would return to the places that she previously left in ruins, she would find new life in flora and fauna already there waiting for her. She wondered how this could be possible. One day, after destroying a field, Sister Marci turned around and waited. A breeze carrying life began to blow into the area, dropping seeds and nurturing new plants. The plants then gave back to it, giving it clean air which it would use to nurture more new life. Marci began to walk with the gentle breath, feeling comforted by it's presence and enjoying its company. She tried to use it to create the Pokemon, Shaymin, but even after the legendary had been created, the main wind still existed. As time passed and humans advanced into the technological ages, Marci began to notice that the life in the wind was suffering, unable to breath life into the concrete of the human cities. Sister Marci also began to notice it changing. Once, it was suppressed by the smog from human cities. Then it began to absorb it and convert it into energy, which it used to crack concrete to find suitable soil to grow plants in. Marci began to feel sympathetic towards the breeze's plight. She finally captured the breeze and turned it into it's own form, a Shaymin, but also a small child. The child was given the human name Shay and was raised for 7 years in Marci's church. Then, she was moved to a small apartment with a roommate in Saffron City, before eventually being re-moved to Azalea due to her sensitivity to the city smog and the fact that she caused so many terror scares due to the seed flare. And from there, well, the story begins. Important Relations: Ori the Bounty Hunter. Nora the Sensibleish one. Chris the Librarian. Casper Primrose the Roommate Renee the Chainsmoking Customs Worker. | Alright, everything looks good, it's all approved and such. I'll get to starting the thread now, and posting my bio. Name: Aaron Shibashi. Species: Human Mage. Age: 22. Sex: Battery Male. Gender: Duracell Male. Appearance: Standing around five and a half feet tall, Aaron is just a tad shorter than the average human male around his age. He has a lighter complexion, and blonde hair with bangs that seem to go just above his blue eyes. As far as clothing goes, his typical attire consists of a black t-shirt, worn with a red vest with a multitude of pockets that's usually kept buttoned up. For pants, he wears a pair of jeans, and gray shoes for footwear. Personality(Optional): Taking the option because I can’t be bothered. History: - Short Version:
Aaron doesn't know where he was born, as he and his sister were orphaned at a young age. The two spent some time in an orphanage in the Boston area, before both were adopted by the Shibashi family when Aaron was three years old. The two shared a close relationship, and the family was a relatively close knit one, only being made up of Aaron, Naomi, and their adoptive parents. He received a regular education up until he was 14, and discovered his magical abilities when he was 11.
One day in school when he was fourteen, he got into a fight with another student and accidentally used his magic, rapidly draining the electrolytes from the other boy and putting him in critical condition. This hit him hard, and made him think about how unnatural magic was and what sort of problems he could cause. Without telling anybody he left his family, traveling on his own and teaching himself how to steal to get by, not wanting to stay in the area.
When he was 15 he was caught by the police and detained at one point, being held until he could be sent elsewhere. He never was though, as this event lead to his first encounter with the gales. Having been attempting to break out using his magic, he managed to attract a few, which provided a distraction for him to get out, though he barely did so, being attacked by them as well. On his way out he grabbed a taser, which he went on to discover acted as his magical item.
After this incident, and several others he managed to get himself into, he got better with his abilities, and managed to pick up a few helpful items and skills along the way before meeting another mage, Claudia, when he was 18. During this time, he found himself drawn into a conflict between two mages, Wolf and Henry. Henry was searching for an artifact that would allow him to destroy the gales, but required Wolf's death to use.
Aaron found himself on Wolf's side, and met several other mages during this experience, including his sister, Naomi. The two had an only slight reconciling just after the events of the feud, but their feelings about one another are still complicated. After the feud ended, Aaron has settled down in an apartment in New York City, traveling around occasionally and working a job as a reporter to make money. This isn't to say he hasn't had his fair share of adventures in the meantime, however.
- Long Version:
About a year after his birth, Aaron was left at an orphanage alongside his biological sister, Naomi. Because of this, neither he nor his sister have any memories of their biological parents. However, when he was 4 years old, his sister being 3, a couple came along and decided to adopt the two siblings. From that point on, the two were raised by Mr. and Mrs.Shizuka as if they were their own children.
Of course, this didn’t stop them from discussing with the two siblings that they had been adopted. After all, their ethnicities didn’t quite match up, and sooner or later they figured they would ask questions. Besides, they had a right to know. Aaron seemed to take the revelation fairly well, he didn’t think a whole lot about it anyways, though he occasionally thought about who his biological parents might have been.
At the age of 11, he began to notice something strange about himself. He seemed to give and take stronger shocks of static electricity than others, and later, when he touched objects powered by batteries, he seemed to be able to drain the power, and resupply it. This wasn’t limited to himself, though. His sister had began to discover an affinity with ice, able to form snowballs on her own, icicles, all sorts of things. Naomi seemed to have more control and power to her magic than Aaron did, leaving him with a slight envy over her abilities. They didn’t know the term for it at the time, but this was the point where they discovered that they were mages.
Things took a turn for the worse when Aaron was 14. Having a lack of control over his powers, he began to get somewhat reckless, and one day in school he shocked another student with enough strength to seriously injure her, nearly killing her. Nobody blamed him for it, as nobody could come up with an explanation as to how it had happened, but Aaron knew better. Setting out on his own, he left his family behind and set out on his own without a goodbye.
This quickly proved to be better in theory than in practice, and he very well may have returned home if he hadn’t discovered the catch to having magic: Gales, bear-like, monstrous forces of nature who hunted down mages. Being an unnatural irregularity in the world, nature needed a way to keep the balance, and Gales were their answer. Aaron only barely managed to escape his first encounter with one of these creatures, and made sure to avoid using his magic whenever he could, making the connection between the magic usage and their appearance.
At that point, he realized it was too late to return home. What if Gales had come when he and his sister were there? Or when his parents were around? As long as he was around, they wouldn’t be safe. Staying on the road alone, he began self-teaching himself as a pickpocket, managing to move up from begging for money to stealing it himself, staying on the move. As he went along, he managed to find his way towards the Maine area via buses, hitchhiking and wandering.
In Maine, Aaron began to see a change in himself through a series of events. After attempting to pickpocket the wrong person, he found himself brought to the local Fairfield Police Station as they tried to find out who he was, and who his family was so they could call them. While he was there, not thinking things through, he began to use his magic to simply charge up a metal bar on the chair he sat in. After a good amount of time, his plan worked, and Gales showed up. In the ensuing chaos, he grabbed a taser and managed to escape, before collapsing from exhaustion later on down the road.
He woke up in a cave, and what followed was a group of him and several others, who were mostly in their late teens and early twenties, finding themselves trapped in an old mine shaft by a mage, running a test on the group while mutated, zombie-like creatures tried to hunt them down. It was in this situation that he met Justin Stewart, an 18 year old who took care of Aaron as if he was a brother, trusting him and protecting him in situations where no one else would.
Being about 14, Aaron only had a slight idea of why they had been taken and what exactly had happened, that he wouldn’t be filled in on for a while. Out of the seven initial trapped people, and the three who came to rescue them, only five of them survived, including Aaron and Justin. After the events, Justin took care of Aaron for the next month or two, until once again, Aaron up and left home, not wanting to risk leading the Gales to Justin.
Another month or so after he left, Aaron picked up a newspaper while he was on the run. The article on the front talked about a disaster in Fairfield. Nobody knew for sure what happened there, some articles spoke of a nuclear reactor meltdown in the area, while another spoke of rabid animals before the meltdown occurred. Most importantly, the articles all seemed to agree on one fact: there were no survivors from the suburban town.
Over the next couple of years, Aaron continued to pickpocket and steal, managing to get better with his magic. As it turned out, the Taser he had found was his magic item, and after salvaging an old WWII era Luger handgun, he modified the gun to fit his Taser instead of a magazine, allowing him to fire concentrated shots of electricity. Despite his having to survive on his own, he found himself trying to live up to Justin’s example, trying to do what he could to help people.
This, and a few other factors, lead him to sticking around New York City when he ended up there in the middle of a feud between two powerful mages while he was 18. After a chance meeting with a woman named Claudia, the two of them stumbled upon the situation and ended up on Wolf’s side, along with Mia Parker, Iruu Parker, and reluctantly Jeremy, though exactly whose side the latter was on was iffy at best.
The group fought to stop Henry from killing the Gales, knowing that even though it would help mages, it would doom the world’s balance. It was in this conflict where Aaron reunited with his sister, Naomi, who had taken Henry’s side. The two fought, and Aaron discovered that he hadn’t been the only one to go through a lot in his absence. Despite her initial grudge and hate of him, Naomi finally managed to get an explanation from her brother, and while forgiving him, still ran off before the two could properly talk.
After these events, taking inspiration from how Claudia managed to live, Aaron managed to get some help from her and found his name wiped off the public record for his misdemeanors. With a fresh start, although he occasionally broke back into his habits, he became a reporter for a small time newspaper, the Manhattan Messenger, where he quickly found a friend and rival of sorts in a coworker, Kim Watts, a photojournalist.
When he was first hired, before he even got his first assignment, he received a call from a woman named Sarah Townsend, saying she got his name from a friend and found his number herself. Offering payment for him coming to check something out for her, and throwing Justin Stewart’s name into things, Aaron obliged. However, noticing he was leaving, Kim offered to fly out with him, figuring there might be a story in it for the two of them. He was tempted to ask Claudia to come with him, but he didn’t want to uproot her from her own job like that.
The two landed and met with Sarah in the large city, and through some poking around discovered that the company Sarah had been working as an assistant in was actual run and founded by the same mage who had trapped him, Justin and the others in the caves all those years ago, and more importantly, that they had managed to take the manipulation magic he used to create the creatures from before and turn it into a virus.
Of course, everything went to hell just after that. The virus broke out and spread around the city, and by nightfall, the entire area was quarantined. Aaron, Kim and Sarah managed to meet up with Justin, who alongside Sarah and a few others had managed to survive the incident in Fairfield, being taken into custody soon after by the US Government and used in a very small sect for their apparent ‘expertise’ in dealing with issues involving magic, something that while apparent, the Government didn’t want to deal with, especially publicly. For that reason, Justin and his group had become a sort of Special Investigations team for affairs potentially involving magic. Making their way through the city in their quest to escape and investigate, the group ran into Naomi, who was there on a job, and a young girl by the name of Dana Foster, who lived in the city with her parents. Managing to keep each other alive, the whole group escaped the city unharmed via helicopter.
In the coming days, the crew traveled to L.A. following up on a lead from Greenwood. After a bit of a crash landing, they managed to find a lab belonging to the company, and discovered enough information to incriminate them and barely managed to escape with their lives.
In the aftermath, Aaron wrote an article on the events that occurred, writing with the eye-witness testimonies of his fellow survivors and bringing detailed evidence of the company’s involvement in creating a virus that caused people to lose their minds. Of course, he had to lie a bit. Telling everyone that magic was involved would have destroyed his credibility, and nobody would have believed it. Besides, technically, there was a virus involved.
With Justin’s organizing, he and his team testified against the company, and it was officially shut down, the heads being forced to go on the run. Aaron parted ways with Justin and Naomi, and returned back to New York City to continue his job as a reporter and hopefully stay out of trouble. Important Relations:Naomi Shizuka- Aaron’s biological sister, Naomi is a cold and independent young woman, making her own way in the world and her work as a hitman of sorts. A mage and ice manipulator, she grew up unsure of what happened to Aaron and found herself pulled into the criminal underworld of thieves and killers, adapting quickly to the lifestyle. Despite her hostilities to Aaron during the feud between Wolf and Henry, she managed to forgive him and spent several instances protecting her brother during the Greenwood Outbreak, often dropping in to leave him helpful clues and advice, even working together in a group. The two bicker often and exchange remarks like one would expect a brother and sister to, but when the going gets tough they stick together and make it work. Justin Stewart- A role model and brother figure to Aaron, Justin is a somewhat more introverted person, comfortable and making wise-cracks around friends and those he trusts, but being more reserved when it comes to strangers. While he was originally just a High School graduate when Aaron first met him, Justin has come a long way, surviving the Fairfield Incident and receiving training as part of a five-man team created to deal with more magic-based affairs. Even with his training, Justin is far from elite, and tends to end up barely scraping by in the messes he and his team get caught up in. Justin does his best to look out for Aaron and keep him out of trouble, but with his new job, he’s been busy in recent times, though he still tries. Claudia Wells- A genuinely kind woman, Claudia and Aaron met when he tried to pickpocket her, but failed. Discovering that they were both mages, they bonded over conversation, being chased by a Gale, and the feud between Henry and Wolf. At first Aaron thought Claudia was nice, but a bit too lawful and naïve, but as time went on he began to gain a deep respect, friendship and trust for her. As a matter of fact, even with his personal involvement with Naomi in the feud, Claudia is one of the people that most kept him from running off and just getting out of dodge. He sees her as a great friend, a valuable ally, and someone he feels closer to than anyone else he’s met. Mia Parker- The close confidant and friend of Aaron, Mia met him when the two intruded on the sight of a Gale killing a young mage’s mother. Despite the meeting, after working together and getting the young mage to safety, both found themselves siding with Wolf during the feud that followed, and became allies. Aaron bonded somewhat with the witty and somewhat hotheaded(in his opinion) woman as the two learned they shared a somewhat similar childhood of being on the streets, and fought together against the Gales and Henry’s mages. Mia is the kind of friend that Aaron would trust in just about any situation. Kim Watts- Rival photojournalist and coworker, Kim and Aaron first met when he began work, and further bonded when the two found themselves caught up in the incident at Greenwood. Very much so a do-it-yourself kind of person, her tendencies put Aaron and others at risk on occasion in Greenwood and L.A., but she did help the group out just as often as she hindered. After the fact, she’s become a friend of Aaron’s, and learned more about Magic, making it a point to involve Aaron should she encounter any signs of it when investigating a story. Gear: While he’s a mage, Aaron’s magic is typically more of a support-based kind. Which is why he’s a man made up of his gear. First and foremost in his arsenal is his Taser he grabbed from a Police Station when he was younger, taking it in the confusion of a Gale attack. The item itself is small, black, and shaped like the magazine of a handgun, with an exposed end where electricity comes out. Next, he also tends to carry an old WWII era Luger handgun, one he salvaged. Having modified the loading track, he’s made it so it can fit his Taser, and uses it to focus the electric jolts he could make jump out of the Taser, able to use it as a functioning gun. Furthermore, he carries two final bits of gear, a descent length stun baton, and a set of lockpicks. Beginning Abilities:Electric Enhancement Magic: Aaron’s brand of magic is based around enhancement of himself and others through electricity. He can’t shoot lightning bolts normally or anything big like that, but if he’s close enough to have touch-contact with somebody, he can enhance their nerves or drain electrolytes from their body. The only reason he can fire electricity through his taser like it were a gun is through careful enhancement of the electricity in the item, making it speed up at just the right time to ‘jump the track’. Maneuverability: I’d say ‘parkour’ but that’s giving him a bit too much credit. While he won’t be doing any super special Mirrors Edge style movements, Aaron’s spent a good amount of time in his life running from things. And he’s picked up a couple moves. While he might not be able to do wall kicks or flips, he’s found ways to get out of tight spots. Peak Abilities:Magnetism: As it goes hand in hand with electricity, Aaron may learn to magnetize himself in time. Using the iron in his body, he’ll be able to stick to metal surfaces or repel metal projectiles thrown at him. However, this kind of use of his electricity will not only burn out electrolytes quickly, but also the iron in his body, risking serious bodily harm should he use it too often without replenishing himself. Side effects may include vomiting, excessive heat, dehydration, tachycardia, confusion, loss of consciousness, fatigue, general weakness, chest pains, shortness of breath, and other such things. Summoning: Later on, Aaron will be able to perform a summon, something all mages in his universe can do. His summon specifically is a large bird-like creature, made completely of metal, that conducts electricity and uses that to strike, along with its metal talons and wings. It can also take another form, a set of armor Aaron can attach to his body. Universe of origin: Magic. A world pretty much like ours, for the exception of, well, magic. This time around, however, the action won’t be taking place in New York City, but in Greenwood, Florida. Originating as a bayou shanty town, after urbanization and deforestation struck throughout the 20th century it grew into a fairly populated city, with all sorts of buildings and such. However, remnants of its original self can be found around the edges of the city, and beneath the buildings and underground tunnel systems more can be found. Other: Nothing. | |
