Now this had been a disappointment. But William refused to give up. He wasn't going to let such a stupid slab of stone torment him any longer.
Yet once more he was floating through the woods of the Fallen Leaf Copse in the search for foilage.
It couldn't be too difficult to find a few leaves in a forest after all, now could it? Definitely not.
And that was why the Gengar's ghastly eyes kept scanning the area, floating along the ground and through the treetops.
What had given the leaves this unusual coloration anyway?
There didn't seem to be anything different about them other than the colour. And it couldn't have been anything in the ground, there were too few of them for that.
This was going to be a long day...

"First sensible thing I've heard of you all day.", the Gengar smirked wearily.
"So let's get going then. Any specific direction in mind? I think I've been everywhere already. Three times. And whereever I go the Pokémon just have returned again it seems. I still keep wondering how so many organisms can fit into such a small ecosystem. By all laws of nature this place should have collapsed long ago. But I guess that is just one more strange thing the Mystery Dungeons do."
Indeed these dungeons were rather confusing things. What made these things work like they did and if one were to manage to remove them - what exactly would happen? Questions that would take a while to be answered...

"Yeah...." Ramira nodded. She thought of a direction, North-east, and started walking that way. Who knew if they could find the one thing that William wanted this way? It was all very complicated and confusing to the dark type, who wasn't very familiar with complicated plans and such.

William decided not to question the Zorua's choice of direction and simply followed her through the forest. His annoyance with this place had gotten to the point of him not even caring about dodging the trees in his path anymore, instead simply wandering right through them. Usually he avoided doing so, both to avoid hinting possible attackers to his abilties and because it tended to creep out those around him, but once someone had gotten so tired and annoyed, one simply stopped caring about things of this nature. The Ghost type began to wonder whether there were other Pokémon hiding their abilities because of similar reasons. Or was he the only one who did this?

After having picked up her items, Ramira staggered. She suddenly felt extremely weak, and she collapsed. The Zorua was unable to get up, move, or do anything, but talk. Shaking her head slowly before passing out, the dark type sighed, and rolled over, the sight of quite a few Pokemon blurred in her vision.

William's eyes widened in shock.
"Uh...Ramira? Are you all right? If this is one of your tricks again, this is not funny. Could you please get up again and fight?"
But there was no response. This was not looking well. Seeing all these Pokémon approaching, the Gengar was sure that not even he would be able to handle them all on his own. So what could he do? Of course he could simply fly away, but it wouldn't exactly be the most kind thing to do to simply leave the Zorua lying there.
Sighing the Gengar picked up the Dark type, ascending into the treetops as quickly as possible. Hopefully they hadn't seen him yet.

Ramira didn't open her eyes. She gained consciousness within 5 minutes, but didn't open her eyes. The Zorua felt like she should stay immobile for a few minutes, so she didn't fall out of William's arms and onto the ground, probably killing herself on accident. Finally, she opened her eyes and glanced around. They were still flying, but it would be best if she didn't move. "Ugh..... That was a bit of a doozy..." Ramira muttered absentmindedly.

William breathed a sigh of relief, immediately cursing himself for having made noise that could alert the feral Pokémon to their position. As quietly as possible he whispered:
"Are you all right? You just fell over all of a sudden. I was worried."
Looking down from the branch he was standing on, the Ghost type could see six, no seven feral Pokémon wandering through the area below. Just what were so many Pokémon of so many different species doing in one place? Whatever it was, it would very likely be a very bad idea to go down there now. Since Ramira most likely wasn't capable of moving through solid matter, William couldn't even hide in the trees itself, forced to silently sit on a branch, waiting for them to pass by.

"Y....Yeah... I'm fine....." Ramira said. She guessed it must've been loss of the entirety of her energy (another one of Serena's crazy theories). The Zorua sighed. It felt.... strange, sitting in William's lap... or was it really in it, or outside of it? She could never tell with Ghost types. In all honesty, Ramira felt a tiny bit embarrassed, but also felt awkward at the same time.

It was strange. William was a Ghost and a Poison type and yet many of his friends were types he was vulnerable against. His team leader, Tsukishiro was of the Dark type. Akuroma belonged to the Psychic type and now here he was, taking care of another Dark type. What was there about these Pokémon that he always ended up befriending them?
And why did the Dark type even come here in the first place if she was in some sort of condition that would cause her to faint all of a sudden for no good reason? Was she not aware of it? But then it had to have happened for the first time, meaning there had to be a trigger for it here somehow. But what?

Ramira sighed. It seemed the ferals had realized there was no-one there, and were making their leave. Honestly, Ramira was glad they were, because she was sick of fighting. But, it did seem as if they were close to somewhere powerful. Or at least it seemed like it, anyway. The Zorua sighed with relief. It still felt awkward sitting in this particular area, but at least they were safe.

Seeing the feral Pokémon leave below them, the Ghost type still waited for a few more moments before silently descending onto the ground again, the Zorua in his arms.
After the duo had landed, he let himself sink into the grond until the Zorua was lying on the forest floor, then moving a few steps backwards through the ground and ascending again, leaving the Dark type lying before him.
"So, do you think you can walk?", he whispered towards Ramira.
"I think we should get you out of here and looked at by someone in the medical profession. I'm no specialist but with what happened back there I wouldn't recomend for you to be in a dungeon right now."

"Yeah... good idea. I think I might be able to now.... Just too weak to fight, is all, I guess." Ramira murmured loud enough for William to hear. This whole thing had confused her, but she knew she had to get to a doctor or something. She was in no shape to fight at all.... but what about William's goal? "The doctor can wait," The Zorua said with determination. "We need to get what you need and get where you need to go, first." Ramira managed a weak smile at him.

"I don't think the forest is going to run away that soon.", the Ghost type countered, concerned that the Dark type seemed to be reluctant to leave this place despite the rather vulnerable state she obviously was in.
"You really should see a doctor now. If you go now, you can always explore later. If you keep exploring you might not be able to see a doctor afterwards anymore."
Yet another young Pokémon with such a reckless attitude. Just where were all the sensible, calm Pokémon who would willingly leave a dungeon if they obviously shouldn't be exploring further?

"I know that, but I feel like your goal is more important. My cunning and sly hiding skills will move me along just fine." Ramira told him. She couldn't fight, but her sneaking skills that were like a Greninja's were good enough, definitely better than nothing. Smirking, she continued on up a tree without waiting for William to respond, and leapt from tree to tree continuously. 'I'll be fine... there aren't any nesting Pokemon here as far as I know.' The Zorua thought with a grin. This wouldn't be too hard at all! This'd be a blast!

"Your cunning and hiding skills won't do you any good if you suddenly pass out. And I really wouldn't suggest jumping around like that. What if you get another one of these attacks while jumping? The results certainly wouldn't be pretty. We're leaving. I am at least. Can't force you to come with me but I would heavily suggest it."
Survival instinct had gone extinct it seemed. Determination was something important to have, but this behaviour had long since gone past impressive and landed somewhere between stupid and idiotic. If presented with an electric fence this Zorua would likely keep touching it again and again because maybe the next time it wouldn't shock her. Hopefully she would listen before she'd get into any further danger...
