Dark Days

Well... her last run through the forest hadn't exactly been the smoothest, but she was stronger now. She was more experienced. She actually brought some items. Her Treasure Bag slung over her shoulder, weighed down slightly from the various berries and tools within, was proof enough of that.

"Alright... attempt two." Lumina murmured, her six tails spreading out behind her as she padded into the forest. The small amount of light that was filtered through the canopy turned golden as it hit the ground and her fur, dappling the Vulpix with small, dark golden spots. She seemed oblivious to this, however, or she simply didn't care.

Of course, the solo member of her Exploration Team wouldn't end up doing this alone, despite her intention to. What fun would that be, right? But unknowingly to Lumina, her partner would arrive momentarily. For now, she was tugging on the ribbon that she had tied gently around her lower foreleg, making sure that it was tight enough so that it wouldn't fall off in the event that she got into a battle or was otherwise taken by surprise.

The Stantler crashed into the Flabebe, effectively knocking both of them out from the impact. Lumina blinked her large brown eyes back open, surprised that the wind has stopped. It left her fur looking and feeling messy, but no matter. She had more important things to take care of than that. Being an explorer meant getting dirt on your hands sometimes, anyways.

"Hey, Noel. Now that that's taken care of, I think we've got something else to worry about. How do you want to split up all this stuff?" She surveyed the items, and quite miraculously, nothing seemed to be too badly damaged from the monster house attack. She saw an Oran Berry, two Reviver Seeds, a Treasure Box, a Black Gummi, some kind of strange rock with a leaf pattern on it, and... some more candy. Joy. "I'd like the Oran Berry, and I think it's only fair that we each get one of the Reviver Seeds." She suggested, looking back at the Riolu for her thoughts on it.

Noel slightly stumbles using her aura sense that much had a little side effect on the girl as she shakes her head and looks back to lumina she thinks about the items that were in the large area and thought about it for a second before nodding "ya and I'll take the candy I don't know why but I feel like collecting it may prove useful later" she then looks at the two items a box and a stone with a leaf

"So do you want the stone or the random box" she asked she didn't really care which she got or lumina could want both she would be ok with that also.

"I'll take the box. I really don't have any use for the stone." Lumina shrugged, and starting putting the items she had agreed to take in her Treasure Bag. One Reviver Seed, the Oran Berry and the Treasure Box. "You can take whatever else you'd like. Including the candy, I'm not big on sweets." She explained quickly, satisfied with her share of the items.

Noel nodded as she walked through as she takes the stone she looks at it moving it around she had sensed some power coming from the stone it seemed a little strange to have a stone with power her mother had told her that some stones can grant certain Pokemon powers but had Noel actually found one she shrugged and placed it in her pack

Lumina ignored the Gummi, Noel could pick it up if she wanted to. She didn't really care for it, personally, especially since it wasn't a red one. She kept on walking, a bit of a smile on her face. "... I have to admit, that monster house took me by surprise." She admitted, smiling slightly. "But at least we got something good out of it."

"Ya took me by surprise also but hey we made it that was good" she says as she noticed the gummi and decided to pick it up might as well seemed a like she could use it as a bribe if she really needed to as she smiles "wonder what we will get into next" she says sarcastically though it was likely they would get jumped again

"Knowing our luck? We'll walk right into another one." Lumina suggested, though she wasn't being serious when she said so. Getting even one Monster House in a Mystery Dungeon, from her personal experience, was incredibly unlucky. There was no way they'd run into another, right? ... right? Somehow, her own thoughts felt hollow.

Yet off the adrenaline rushing through her veins from the battle, the Vulpix felt perfectly content. She felt more alive than ever in her current state, and she came rather close to lapsing into her former trance-like state once more. But she managed to stop herself, this wasn't exactly a good time for daydreaming.

"Ya luck isn't my best attribute" she says with a small smile she had a habit for having some of the worst luck ever even when she first came to town she ended up meeting some crazy guy he tried to kill her and that was not luckily though monster houses were rare so they wouldn't run into another ...She hoped

Noel was still trying to act normal and was successful at it the mental fatigue she had been feeling was dying down she just didn't have to use her sense for a while and she would be good.

Some small part of Lumina, the crazy, reckless part, almost hoped that they would run into another monster house. That they could have another chance to get all that treasure or have the story of a lifetime - after all, who ran into two monster houses in a single Mystery Dungeon? It would be unbelievably unlucky. But she would come out all the better for it.

Then again, hoping to get in danger was a stupid thing to hope for. Her better reasoning spoke out against this and the idea was swiftly dismissed. The Vulpix, a tad absorbed in her own thoughts, almost missed a flash of red, yellow and purple from somewhere up in the tree tops. But she quickly did see the source of the colour and focused upon it. It was an Ariados, standing from a large web it had painstakingly crafted.

Noel wanted to know more about this stone she had found but she kept going along she half wanted to run into another house she liked fighting though looking for random moronic fights was something her mother had told her not to do always lead to bad places

As Noel moved she noticed something go past her leg as something jumped through the trees the thing that had run past her was another flabebe as she looked it was being chased by a ariados Noel looked to lumina on what to do and she shrugged "we should help" Noel said not wanting that Pokemon to be ate

"Should we...?" Lumina reflected on this momentarily. It wasn't unnatural for feral Pokemon to attack or even eat each other, was it? Did she and Noel really have a place to interfere here? Perhaps that wasn't the attitude of your average guild member, but the vixen felt a bit unsure about this. "... Well, if you're sure, I won't stop you." She offered, preparing an Ember just in case Noel would need the support. She didn't plan on letting that spider hurt her friend, in case she was sure about trying to save the Flabebe.

Noel shrugged her mother always taught her to never stand by while someone was getting hurt and this was one of those situations as Noel charged as the ariados jumping and slamming her leg into it's head knocking it out of the tree and on to the ground and Noel fell and stomps on it as she jumps back "see didn't take up that much time" Noel says with a smirm

Lumina watched carefully, ready to intervene if it looked like Noel would be in danger, but she managed the situation fairly well. The Flabebe floated off hastily without so much as a 'thank you', making the Vulpix scowl slightly to herself. Ignore the one who just saved your life. Classy, isn't it. She wiped the look off her face in case Noel thought she was scowling at the Riolu, which hadn't been her intention. "Well done, then." She replied neutrally, gazing up at the sky.

"I was wondering, Noel. I've been giving this exploration of ours some more thought, and I was wondering if you'd like to try and make it to Monochrome Falls. It seems like a good destination to stop at." It was a bit of a vague plan, just trying to get to a certain location, but Lumina thought it would be nice to see.

"Happy to help" Noel calls out to the Pokemon as it flees she would to Noel might of been just some Pokemon that wanted to eat em first as Noel turns back to lumina "sure sounds like fun" Noel was always up for the chance to go somewhere.New that place seemed best

"Then it's settled." Observing the sky once more revealed that it was now late afternoon. The sun would start setting soon, in around an hour or two. "I think we can manage to arrive there before nightfall, if we pick up the pace." The Vulpix speculated. She could be wrong, of course, but she had some faith in her calculations. "We might even be able to spend the night camping at the waterfall. ... that might be interesting." Right now, she was just thinking out loud, but it seemed like a good enough idea in her head.
