The sun was already well up into the sky by the time the dark mountains that had been looming ahead were close enough for the group of traveling Pokémon to say that they were there. Luckily the day had been a pleasant one, not too hot and there hadn't been any rain getting in their way either, so everything had went well on that front. Of course the trip had been long and exhausting, but it could have been so much worse. The dark mountain range might have looked intimidating and gloomy, but despite the dark mist surrounding it, the sun was still bright and warm enough to make it... Kind of pleasant. Any wind that might have been blowing in their face was mostly blocked by the rocks, protecting the Pokémon from the chill – though as the climbed higher, the altitude did cause the air to grow slightly colder...

Varda was rather exhausted after their long journey to the mountains. Early in the morning, he had found a client looking for training partners in the mountains – and of course he had agreed! While the tiny bird hardly was big and strong, that was exactly the reason he had wanted to come along. He wanted to grow stronger and look for his home in a new area, so everything was perfect! He joined the Growlithe and they started their journey together, though on their way, the Swablu had met a familiar face in town...

The little beady eyes glanced to his side at the female Riolu, Noel. He had met her earlier once when she had been looking for Grassveil Town, so it was perhaps to be expected that he would meet her again there one day. The two had changed a few words while the Growlithe was listening, telling Noel about the current mission – which she seemed to like enough to want to join. As the client didn't disapprove, the trio had left the town together early in the morning.

"Aight, starting to look like a good place!" The Growlithe barked as they came to a rocky, wide open area with few larger stones and a rather miserable, twisted tree. The dog-like Pokémon sat down for a moment to rest after the journey and Varda followed her example, sitting on his feathery behind and feeling the cool stone and dirt underneath.
"Ooh... That was a pretty long trip," the little bird chirped as he let out a sigh, starting to relax a bit. The Growlithe just laughed as he looked at the other too.
"We should rest for a bit before we continue, yanno? Take a little break, we'll start training after that."


Current Energy: 9 (25 -16 from entering)

Noel was walking the pain subsidised as she moved it hurt yes but it was not the worse pain ever she didn't really know why the leader kept wanting to help her she knew her.limits and would say if she could not continue but she still kept up her normal pace though it was boring to her.

She places her hand on the rock wall as she slowly sensed the inside of the cave though she sensed some they were.low so they were either asleep or really hurt bad hoping it was the first she went inside the crack as she.looks at the client wanting her to come closer deciding to humor her she walked over though there was no wounds nor trace.

"See I'm fine" she says as she walks over showing the side that had gotten hit she would of been hurt bad if she didn't recover in the air but best not think about that

Varda enjoyed searching the cave, staying close to the other two Pokémon with him just in case. Even though he had seemed to tired earlier, he still wasn't resting when he was given the chance now. Perhaps his small body was finally getting used to the burn and was starting to gain the ability to keep going even though his muscles were aching and screaming at him to stop. His pace was rather relaxed and his mind occupied, not even feeling too concerned about Noel anymore. The Growlithe seemed like she knew what she was doing, so he trusted her ability – and of course he trusted the Riolu to know when she was hurt, too! As she had said nothing, he was sure Noel was just fine despite the hard hits she had taken.

The Growlithe took a closer look at the Riolu's side, squinting her eyes and gently pressing the injured areas with her paw to see how sensitive they were or if something was broken. She did finally nod, apparently happy with Noel's words.
"Yep, looking like there's nothing too bad over here. If you two are ready, we can continue," she barked, getting up on her paws again. Varda meanwhile was munching on one of his juicy Oran berries he had pulled from his bag as he noticed some other spoils hidden inside the cave, pocketing some of the candy as he swallowed the berry.

"Are you fine now, Noel?" The bird Pokémon finally started to hop his way towards the Riolu as he noticed how the rest were starting to get ready to leave, not wanting to be left out. He was smiling rather happily as he looked up to Noel.


Current Energy: 17 (7 +10 from Oran berry, got 1 Candy)

Noel smirked and calmly rolled her eyes as the growlith placed her paw on her side when she was happy Noel was not hurt what so ever Noel gave a slight nod as she turned to see varda hop over to them with everyone happy to continue Noel used this chance to check her items the fall might of gotten rid of some.

She checked and noticed a orb and a extra berry she was a little confused about this it must of gotten into her bag during the fall finding it strange she shrugged and turned back to the teammates.

"I was always fine" Noel replies with her signature smirk as she followed the client

Varda nodded, looking so happy with his goofy smile and sparkling, beady eyes as his head feathers flopped over with the motion. Hearing that nothing bad had happened to Noel... It was such a relief, honestly. It had looked so bad for a moment, yet there the Riolu was, standing and looking happy.
"I was quite worried when that Pokémon swooped down at you!" The bird started to explain as he waddled after the Growlithe, making his way out of the cavern after his client,
"It looked pretty bad... It was so big and the fall looked... Fatal!" Varda chirped, opening his wings to emphasize his own shock.

"But I'm happy to see that you're fine," he continued with a smile as he looked at Noel, not at all concerned with his own exhaustion after the little incident. Hopefully they wouldn't bump into more such large predators on their way...
"If you two are fine with it, I feel like going for a slightly faster jog now. The area ahead has some rough terrain and great rocks to jump over, really gets those leg muscles working, yanno?" The Growlithe spoke up from ahead, starting to pick up the pace as Varda did his best to start running after her, doing his best to keep up.

Noel smiled at the goofy smile Baroda had given her happy they believed her she was ok but she had been around Pokemon who would freak out over a small hit but no matter they had to train "I sensed the attack but I was to slow to dodge" she admits sad she had been trying to seem so awesome but then ended up falling to her almost doom "might of been" she replied if she didn't recover she might of died back there.

"Yup nothing to it didn't get all that training for nothing" she says with a smile as she hears the client want to go faster and being who she is lowered her stance and blasted off ahead of both of the members at a fast pace she was quite far away when she sensed something she ducked just in time to avoid getting a club to her head as she jumped backwards

She stood facing two marowaks she swore under her breath and got into a fighting stance

Varda nodded in an understanding fashion as Noel talked more about the incident, blaming her own slowness as to why things had gone the way they had. As she had demonstrated earlier with her walking backwards trick, she could see what her eyes didn't and she did claim to be able to sense other Pokémon... So it made sense that she had sensed the Aerodactyl, too. But her body wasn't as fast as her mind and the Swablu certainly knew how it felt to be too slow to dodge an attack coming from a feral Pokémon. Mainly, it hurt.

The Growlithe glanced back to see if the two could keep up with her jog, but suddenly the Riolu just rushed past her, kicking up a small dust cloud behind her as she went. Obviously, at first the dog-like Pokémon was rather surprised and didn't know how to react, but soon a grin of an accepted challenge could be found on her lips as she started to race after Noel.
"Come back here, you!" She barked as she took off, starting to run. The poor bird was rather confused as he noticed how he was being left behind, picking up the pace and running as fast as his little bird feet could take him!

The playful run was soon stopped by another feral Pokémon attack. Noel had just barely missed a bone-crushing bone club thrown at her and the Growlithe stopped as fast as she could, causing Varda to run into her fluffy back legs. Immediately the dog Pokémon took a fighting stance, growling and showing her teeth to intimidate the two Marowaks in their way, with one of them catching the bone they had thrown in the Riolu's way.

The Swablu fluffed his own feather as he tried to mimic the Growlithe, but obviously he really wasn't all that intimidating to the skull-wearing lizard creatures. With a battle cry, the two Marowak rushed at the group of three. The Growlithe quickly rushed in to bite one of them while Varda stayed behind, looking at Noel for guidance.


Current Energy: 8 (17 -8 from enemy encounters and -1 from the item)

Noel yells at the growlith "stop don't" she yells as she dashes over she had tried to attack one of them but they were both close so as she bit one of them the other had attempted to strike her with the club Noel blocks it with ease as she throws the marowak off of her sending it backward some distance as she turns to yell some directions

"Ok you two take on this one since I'm a fighting type I can handle one on my own" she quickly yells as she goes to dash the other marowak she knew since varda was a flying type he would not be to accustomed to ground combat to having the growlith helping would be best in her head.

She runs over and starts a brawl with the other one she dodged his attack and strikes when he could not hit back

Varda let out a panicked chirp as one of the lizard-like Pokémon was bitten by the Growlithe, but the other one was quickly coming in to aid its friend, about to hit their client right in the head with a nasty bone club! The bird already took off into the air and flapped hard, trying to get closer to do something to help his client... But Noel was way ahead of him, blocking the strike and throwing the other feral Pokémon a good distance away from Growlithe and her prey, as she was still clamping hard on it with her teeth.

"Shhhure," came a muffled response from the Growlithe, her mouth full due to the attack. Both her and the bird seemed to follow Noel's orders as long as it came to battling, leaving the second Marowak to her. The dog-like Pokémon didn't seem to be very weak herself, finally tossing her own target aside as she snarled and leered angrily at the feral Pokémon. Varda flew closer as he tried to find some kind of opening, figuring that the hard skull protecting their heads made that the spot with the best armor... And quickly, he also dodged a flying bone that was thrown in his way. The Marowak seemed rather distracted by the bird, which gave the Growlithe some time to attack it again, sinking her teeth into the feral Pokémon's flesh as she forced it down on the ground.

The Swablu slowly floated back on the ground, not really knowing what to do... Until he remembered a trick he had used before, hoping that it would work again. The bird started to sing, his chirpy melody relaxed and sleepy, a somber lullaby. The Growlithe was forced to let go as she yawned, feeling the lulling effects of the song... But luckily, so did the Pokémon she had been biting. The Marowak couldn't escape with the Growlithe on top of it, quickly falling asleep due to the odd power of the lulling song.

Noel was still far away from her companions if they got hurt she could not close the.distance fast enough to help but deciding that this was ok she focused on her opponent as he kept swinging the club wildly at her she dodged every strike the.marowak kept putting to much power into each strike giving Noel a lot of time to dodge.

She jumped back and waited as the marowak charged at her his skill down she assumed he was going to bash her with his skull as she waited until her was close as he was about to hit her she spun around and the feral Pokemon bashed right into the cave wall behind her as Noel jumped backwards.

This repeated twice Noel dodging while the marowak kept trying to bash her until she hit him in the neck with a uppercut and launched him backwards and into the ground she waited to see if he.would stand or not

Varda looked at the Growlithe, worried when he noticed how she too was getting so drowsy! It would have been bad if she had fallen asleep right on top of a feral Pokémon, even if it happened to be sleeping right at the moment... After all, who knew when it would wake up and hurt his client! The bird opened his wings and flapped them gently, landing softly on the Growlithe's head as he tried to not bother their sleeping target. If it would stay sleeping, they would be quite well off.
"Um, try to stay awake, miss," the Swablu urged her with a quiet voice, waving his cottony wing in front of her face, hoping that she would focus.

Eventually, the Growlithe seemed to come to as she shook her head a bit, making the bird jump off of her with a cheerfully smile. Everything wasn't over yet, however. The Pokémon they had been fighting was still peacefully snoozing on the ground, but Noel was still fighting! The Growlithe started to rush to her side as Varda followed, flying after her with determination sparkling in his eyes. But without them even having to aid her, the Riolu attacked the Marowak and threw it to the ground with a great impact that even shook the ground a little, causing the Growlithe to stop. The feral Pokémon coughed as its body shivered and trembled, its muscles trying to force itself up... But to no avail. Eventually the Marowak was forced to give up, lying on its back on the ground.

Noel turns her head.to see her teammates commuting over to her she turns her head to see the marowak try to get up she just shook her head "I wouldn't bother" she says coldly as he falls back down and Noel remembers seeing a scene like that a long time ago but she pushes the memory back into her mind

She then turns to smile at them seeing as how none of them had gotten hurt as far as Noel could tell but she still decided to check "is everyone ok" she asks she didn't look over to see how they dealt with the feral Pokemon so she wouldn't know unless they told her

Varda landed softly on the ground next to the Growlithe as he looked up at Noel, smiling happily as he noticed that she didn't seem like she had gotten hurt, either. The dog-like Pokémon gave the Riolu a nod when she asked if everyone was alright, obviously not looking any worse for wear as she hadn't been attacked – or at least in a way that connected. A lucky thing too, as the pair of feral Pokémon did have the type advantage over her...

"I'm fine," the Swablu chirped quietly, with a certain cheerful tone in his voice. He quickly motioned towards the other skull-wearing Pokémon lying on the ground with his fluffy, cloud-like wing, the one they had been fighting.
"That one is asleep," he quickly explained as he kept his voice down, wanting Noel to hear about it before it was too late,
"We should be very quiet when we leave, we don't want to wake it up," Varda whispered as the Growlithe gave a nod, both to show that she understood and to show the Riolu that the bird's words did have some wisdom to them.

Slowly, the bird Pokémon and the Growlithe started to sneak past the sleeping Marowak, careful not to step on anything that might have made some extra noise. Luckily the mountain path didn't have any dry twigs to accidentally be snapped, but a stray rock could accidentally hit something to make some noise that would wake the feral Pokémon up.

"That's good" Noel says when they told her they were alright she would hate to have to end this adventure early due to any feral Pokemon when varda had told her she made.it sleep Noel was slightly confused she would of just knocked it out seemed like the best way to deal with feral Pokemon but to each their own.

She slowly made her way past the feral Pokemon making no noise whatever as she walked carefully making sure her scarf didn't drag along the ground as she felt that she was clear then started to walk normal

The trio of Pokémon made their way very slowly, trying to be as quiet as possible. Varda himself was a very light Pokémon and the pitterpatter of his little bird feet was barely audible even if one was listening to it. The Growlithe was heavier and her paws could have made some noise as she ran, but with the way she was moving, placing her paws on the ground veeeery carefully... She managed to be quiet as a stalking cat. Perhaps not as graceful as one due to her heavier build, but certain quiet if nothing else.

As the coast was finally clear and the sleeping Marowak safely left behind – probably sleeping as it hadn't followed them – the Growlithe and the Swablu both let their tense muscles relaxed as they stopped their sneaking.
"Phew, a nice fight sure gets the adrenaline flowin'!" The dog-like Pokémon rolled her shoulders, not having really minded a little fight on the side. She had come to the mountain to train her strength, and she certainly was getting it! It seemed like the Growlithe was already ready to go and continue their journey, already looking forward to their next challenge.

"The Pokémon on these mountains seem strange... I've never seen the kind before," Varda chirped as he mostly seemed to think out loud, slowly waddling after the more restless Growlithe,
"Oh – you're fine too, right Noel?"

Noel sighs as the client talks about a good fight she smirks "are you kidding that fight was boring" she says feeling like it was to easy to beat the tar outta those guys but she shrugged if they felt like it was a good fight she wouldn't complain about it as she slowly walked over to them as she stretches a little

"I have a few times on my home island" Noel says they were really common in mountain areas and some low ground areas sometimes deserts but she had not seen any in scorchfall as Noel just smiles "ya I'm 100%" Noel replied as her smile changes to a smirk "that wasn't even a warm up"
