By The Pond (Open)

To say that she had gotten lost wasn't quite right. Nor was it right to say that the young Vulpix had come here intentionally. She had been mapping out her surroundings, trying to discover what lied just beyond the boundaries of her new town. That was how Lumina had stumbled upon a pair of Mystery Dungeons in the recent past, and now, she had found a small pond.

Equally curious and wary, the Fox Pokemon took a quick look around the area. This place definitely wasn't a Mystery Dungeon, unlike the pair of forests she had seen, Pecha and Shadowhue. And since those Pokemon relaxing nearby weren't attacking her, they probably weren't feral - it was more likely that they were citizens, like her.

In that case, this area seemed safe enough. Maybe she could even rest for a little while after all the walking she'd done.

Padding up to the edge of the pool, Lumina gently dipped her forepaws in, watching the small ripples they created. She wasn't eager to go swimming, since she was a fire type, but that didn't mean that she couldn't rest for a while.

Noel smirked as she stopped in place waiting for her as the flame danced on her arms then Noel spinned around her dodging to the exact left as lumina heads right for the tree behind Noel

Lumina completely fell for it. She noticed the tree, but she had far too much momentum to stop, as she had put all her power behind her Flare Blitz attack. She hit the tree, hard. The Vulpix stumbled back, feeling dazed. Unfortunately, something noteworthy happens when fire touches plant life. The fire from Lumina's attack quickly spread onto the tree she slammed into.

Noel luckily knew that it would happen so while she was spinning she ran to the lake and kicked up large amounts of water at the tree and also on lumina.

Something snapped Lumina out of her daze. That 'something' was an unexpected splash of lukewarm water. She turned around, spitting out some of the liquid that had gotten into her mouth as if it were a poison. She turned back to Noel, as if to silently signify that she could still fight, although her stance was a little bit shaky.

Noel then gets back into a fighting stance but this time her arms are up and one down and her back leg straight ash the other bent "you still good to fight?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." That was a small lie; Lumina wasn't exactly fine, but she was good enough to fight. She inhaled deeply, breathing in the cool air. The Vulpix started to whirl up another Ember, ready to fire it whenever she saw an opportunity. She couldn't be hasty this time; being hasty was how that Flare Blitz backfired. She didn't want to repeat her mistakes.

Noel's eyes slightly narrowed as she starts.to move again trying to flank from the right to hit her into the tree that she was next to *ok that will not work twice never has*

Lumina liked to think that she learnt from her mistakes. So when Noel tried to hit her into another tree, the Vulpix was prepared for it and deftly ducked to avoid the blow. Now at close range, she spat a trio of Embers, the small flaming spheres zooming towards her opponent.

Noel gets hit but.does not stagger back instead she puts the two of the arms together and attempts to bash lumina on the head *bad move*

The Fox Pokemon noticed the incoming attack, but not quite in time. She ducked away, trying to dodge, and she had partial success. Noel's blow hit her flank instead of her head, and while it would've been better to avoid the hit completely, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. It was likely that Lumina would've gotten dazed if her head had been hit, and if she got dazed again, Noel would have time for a free hit against her. Needless to say, the vixen didn't want that.

She sprinted backwards, firing the occasional Ember back at the Riolu as she did so. She doubted that she would hit Noel with any of the Embers, but they would hopefully slow her down a little, giving Lumina time to get out of close quarters.

Noel didn't follow her instead she jumped up onto to tree and used her momentum to push herself into another and kept up the pace moving from tree.to tree in a attempt to confuse the vulpix *gotta get a blindside*

Lumina scowled. She backed away towards the center of the clearing, where there weren't any trees. If this was a serious battle, she would've just lit the trees on fire, but that probably wasn't a wise idea. Especially when the two of them were so close to Grassveil. The Vulpix suspected that Noel was going to try and come from a direction that she wasn't expecting, so she turned her head this way and that, waiting for her to come out of the trees. Or if she just kept jumping around like that, well, she was bound to tire eventually.

Noel smirked as she crashed into a large branch and using her momentum to spin kick it straight at lumina hoping to land a hit *please don't do much damage tree*

The Vulpix thought that she was being aware, but she was on the lookout for a Riolu, not a branch coming at her from the sky. The large branch slammed into her from the side, and the Fox Pokemon let out an instinctual yelp as she went skidding across the grassy terrain from the impact. She lost her footing and fell on her flank, where she remained motionless.

"Oh no" Noel bounced off another tree and ran up to the Fox looking around her "I'm sorry" Noel looked at her on the ground eyes changed to a calming way "are you ok?"
