Registration and Reunion- The New Team Mizuchi

Lee came bursting through the same bushes that he did the first time he had arrived in Grassveil. He wasted no time watching the people in the town as they went on with their lives like the first time he was there. He had just returned from his village and needed to find Jet so that they could go to the guild and form their team. "Grassveil!!" he shouted as he came through the bushes, "The great ninja Lee has returned!!" he shouted. Lee started to run through the town looking for Jet. And as soon as he found his shy partner, they would go to the rescue guild and finally form a team.

OoC: We can do a few posts with them finding each other and going to the guild. But we should keep it short.

Lee followed the guildmaster into the her quarters and looked around. Now that he had a better chance to view the room, he looked at all of the plants that were lined across the room. Obviously the guildmaster felt an affinity towards plants, but that made sense since she seemed to be a grass type. "I will have a small cup, thank you," Lee said to the guildmasters offer. He was not much of a fan of tea, but Lee knew that proper etiquette meant that he should accept the offer of a drink.

"Very well, dearies. Please, take a seat."
With these words the Meganium walked behind her desk, filling two cups of tea for the young Pokémon. While handing them to the soon-to-be recruits, she used her vines to retrieve a tome from the bookshelves behind her, setting it down on the old desk in front of her, which was creaking under the weight.
"Now then, sweeties, first I would need your names."

Jet's eyes continued to scan the room, even as the guildmaster continued to speak. The plants all caught his attention and he had wandered over to start examining some of the ones nearby with interest. While Grass-type Pokémon were going to be an issue for him in the future, he always did kind of like vegetation. They were living things yet didn't really have a mind of their own. The concept had fascinated him since he had first learned about that....

Jet's attention as quickly grabbed again as Lee spoke to say that he would accept the tea offer. He made his way over with a soft smile. "W-well, I suppose if you are already going through the trouble..." he started, but trailed off as he accepted the tea he was given. He made his way over to one of the nearby seats and sat himself down on the visitor's side of the desk. His eyes drifted downward toward the tome that the Meganium set in front of her. He eyed it with interest. Did that thing have a list of every team in the entire guild listed within its pages? That would probably make for quite a read.

When asked his name, Jet looked up again. He cast a sideways glance at Lee, almost as though he expected the ninja frog Pokémon to answer first. Meanwhile, he would lift the cup of tea up to his lips and silently take a small sip of it. Once Lee had answered, he would simply add onto his introduction: "A-and my name's Jet."

Lee went over to one of the chairs that the guildmaster had indicated. He still wasn't sure what kind of pokemon the guildmaster was, and he wasn't going to ask because he figured that it would be impolite of him to ask. Lee watched as the guildmaster controlled some of the vines as she grabbed the large tome and then placed it on her desk. She seemed to have great mastery over those vines, which meant that she would be difficult to defeat in a battle, since she could use them as extendable arms. When the guildmaster asked for their names, Lee went first and said, "My name is Lee." After Lee had said his name, he quickly glanced over at Jet and waited for him to say his, and once his partner had said his name Lee had turned back to watch the guildmaster.

"Quite nice names the two of you have there. It suits you.", Faye smiled as she added the Pokémon's names to the long list already present in the book.
"Now, this part might be getting a little more difficult. You would have to choose a name for your team, dearies. Have you decided on something already? If you haven't, then don't worry. Feel free to take your time."
Faye was waiting, intrigued, whether the young recruits had decided already, and if they hadn't then how much time it would take for them to find a name.
The guildmaster had found, that these things could show one quite a bit of a Pokémon's character.

Jet nodded at Lee when he had answered the guildmaster and had turned his attention back to the Meganium. As she spoke, he lifted he drink he still held carefully in his paws up to his mouth to sip a little bit more of it down. He had to admit, this was some rather delicious-tasting tea. Then again, he didn't really know a lot of different blends and hadn't tasted much of it before now. It had always been a rather rare treat for him. So for all he knew, this might just be some common tea-leaf creation.

When the two of them were asked about their team name, Jet stopped. Uh oh. He had no idea what their team name would be called. He had been so wrapped up in his training and these tests and his exploration and learning of his new environment that he had never really even given the idea any sort of thought. What SHOULD their team name be? He had absolutely no idea, and no clue as to where to start.

Jet cast a quick, nervous glance over at Lee for any possible name suggestions. He knew that Lee, the team leader, was a ninja, and that their team had every intention of being a very water-focused team. So perhaps something to reflect both of those aspects? But...what could it be?

"E-erm..." was his filler murmur as he tried to fish through his mind for some kind of creative ideas. This was definitely not his strong point.

When the guildmaster had asked for the team name Lee knew exactly what he had wanted to name the team. He got the idea when he was back home and had heard one last story from his father. It was a story he had heard all the time growing up, everyone in his clan did, but it also was his favorite story which is why his father told it to him and his brother one last time before he had passed away.

Lee looked over to Jet, and then he realized that he had completely forgotten to tell Jet his idea for the team name. Now that they were about to give the guildmaster their team name, it was starting to dawn on Lee how he really should have talked to Jet about it earlier. "Jet, do you have a team name in mind?" Lee asked, "Because if you don't I have one in mind."

Jet saw Lee turn to look back at him. When the Froakie asked if he had some kind of team name ideas in mind, he stopped and thought for a moment. Did he really have any kind of ideas? The obvious answer was no, but perhaps he should also suggest his idea for what it could be based on. "W...well..." Jet said, mulling over his words for an extra couple of moments. "I-I don't really have a name in mind, since I haven't given it any thought after all this time, b-but I get the feeling that it might be a good idea to have it reflect both our focus on the Water-type as well as the team leader's status as a ninja Pokémon." He then shot a nervous smile at Lee. "After all, if you're going to be the greatest ninja Pokémon, you should let people know that you are one."

Smiling the Meganium watched for the two Pokémon to talk about their team name. What would it be? Something dramatic? Something profound? Or maybe something funny? The Grass type decided not to intervene as this name was one the two should pick for themselves, considering that it would be the name to represent their team. So it only stood to reason, that they should have some sort of personal connection with the name and not just have it suggested by some guild official.

"I was thinking of the name Mizuchi," Lee said as he talked to Jet. "Mizuchi was a great ninja from generations ago and he was the founder of my clan." Jet thought back to all of the stories that he heard from his father and other elders from around the village. "He was a master ninja and it was said that he could practically control water like it was an extension of himself. I was thinking that we could name our team after him." Lee said. There were many other pieces and versions of the stories about Master Mizuchi, but Lee figured that they were best saved for another time.

Jet nodded and mulled the name Lee had given him for a moment. "Mizuchi, huh...?" Jet murmured under his breath. Without a doubt, it was very water and ninja-themed. On top of that, the name clearly meant something to his partner. And as far as he was concerned, that suited all of his requirements just fine. He nodded again and looked back at Lee with a small smile. "...I think it's a perfect name," he replied. With that decided, he looked back at the Guildmaster. "Then I suppose Team Mizuchi is the name that we'll be using." He then paused for a moment. "I-If we can, of course. But I wouldn't really expect somebody to have the name already or anything since it's pretty unique...."

With that, he decided to shut his mouth and keep it shut. He had started to ramble. The more he did that, the more he probably embarrassed himself slightly. And he didn't want to embarrass Lee by extension. As long as he still simply answered any questions he was asked, he should be fine.

"A great name, dearies. It suits you I think.", Faye smiled while writing down the team name in that tome of hers.
"Congratulations, dearies! You are now officially members of this guild!"
Using her vines to take one of the many bags, that were hanging on a wall off of its hook, she then placed it in front of the guild's newest members before beginning to explain:
"This is your Treasure Bag. It's a great help in carrying items and will certainly be useful for you. Inside it you will find your Explorer Badges, a Wonder Map and a little surprise. So, do you want to look inside now, or should we get right to assigning a room for you?"

(The surprise is a ribbon in the colour of your choice, just like those the player recieves at the start of Time/Darkness/Sky)

Lee watched as the guildmaster continued to use her vines with ease in both writing in her tome as well as picking up and moving around objects. As Faye began to explain which items were inside the bag, Lee got up from his seat and went over to see the contents for himself. Upon opening the bag Lee saw all of the items that the guildmaster described. He noticed two small objects that he assumed to be their badges, they had small wings and what seemed to be a jewel on the center. Lee's initial thoughts about the badges were that they were irrelevant and would make it obvious to enemies just who they were, and that would make it difficult in being secretive if they ever had to infiltrate enemy grounds.

Lee's eyes then glanced over at the map. It seemed to be a simple piece of rolled up piece of parchment, Lee wondered what uses the map could have in places like the woods that had no real defining landmarks or guide points. Lee then noticed what he assumed to be the surprise in the bag, it was a red ribbon that resembled the black training scarf that he had around his neck now. Lee didn't say anything right away because he was busy looking through the contents of the bag.

Jet continued to watch in awe as the Meganium skillfully and dexterously use her vines to finish writing down the information that they had needed to give her. And then the next thing he knew, she was already pulling one of the many bags around the room to the desk and began informing them about everything they would need and...wait. That was it? All this time that Jet had hesitated...all this time that he had been afraid of looking weak or signing up...and this was all it took to get registered as a team? As though his brain had temporarily shut off, he simply stared at the tome on the table for a moment longer. Just...a scribbling in of their personal and team names? That was much less painful than he expected it to be....

However, he quickly shook all of these things off of his mind. Now was most certainly not the time to be thinking on this. He looked into the bag as his leader opened it, his eyes practically started to shine as he saw the trove of treasure contained within. The first thing he did upon seeing the contents of the inside was reach in and pull out one of the two Explorer Badges. He turned it over in his paws and gave it a quick twice-over to take it all in. Finally...something that proves his progress. With this, he would be ready to move forward in his life. He was soon to take that first step on his way to self-improvement. This small little badge, to him, may as well have been a large chunk of gold.

Once his moment of ecstasy over the Exploration Badge was finished, he finally turned his attention to the inside of the bag. There were still two other things that remained; the Wonder Map and a red ribbon that rather closely resembled the scarf that Lee wore around his neck. He smiled slightly at that. The color blue probably would have matched him a little bit more, but he knew that he had no room to complain. He was just happy to be here. He had wanted to take a quick look at the map, but decided that it could wait. He would have all the time he wanted to look at the map of the area in the future. Instead, he turned his attention back to the Guildmaster.

"And...and this is all ours...?" he asked, partially in awe and partially in disbelief. "I-I just have to say thank you so much, Guildmaster! B-but, um...i-if it's okay with you, could we go ahead and get our room assigned, please...? I'd like to see what that looks like next." His eyes were still practically sparkling. It was obvious from a glance how happy he was to see all this...and to have this finally happening for real.

The guildmaster chucked at Jet's awed disbelief. "Indeed it is, dearie.And you are most welcome. Actually I should even be thanking you. It is you who has decided to dedicate their lives to combat injustice and spread the message of love and tolerance after all. But enough of that. We have a room to assign. If you would please follow me, dearies?"
With these words the guildmaster reemerged from behind her desk, once more walking over to the door.
"Please make sure you take all your personal belongings with you again. We don't want for anything to go missing after all."
Faye believed for this last statement to be of great importance, considering that just a few days earlier she had been woken in the middle of the night because someone forgot an item of theirs in her quarters. And kind as the Meganium may be, she valued her sleep just as much as any other Pokémon.
