Registration and Reunion- The New Team Mizuchi

Lee came bursting through the same bushes that he did the first time he had arrived in Grassveil. He wasted no time watching the people in the town as they went on with their lives like the first time he was there. He had just returned from his village and needed to find Jet so that they could go to the guild and form their team. "Grassveil!!" he shouted as he came through the bushes, "The great ninja Lee has returned!!" he shouted. Lee started to run through the town looking for Jet. And as soon as he found his shy partner, they would go to the rescue guild and finally form a team.

OoC: We can do a few posts with them finding each other and going to the guild. But we should keep it short.

Jet had been making his way around the town for some time now. He had traversed the city well enough by this point to practically have the layout memorized. While he couldn't tell anybody specific directions, his feet could probably carry him to wherever he wanted to go on instinct. There had always been one place in specific, however, that he had returned to daily. And it was that same location that he was headed to right now. He never really expected to find anybody or anything specific...but he liked visiting. It was the first place he had met his companion...his future teammate.

And it was as likely a place as any to find Lee upon his return.

However, he didn't even have to make it to the Square to hear it. That all-too-familiar tone and shout that belonged to a rather unforgettable voice. "L...Lee!?" Jet shouted into the air, looking around, completely alert of his surroundings. "Lee, was that...was that you...!?" His tail perked up slightly as he looked around at his surroundings, trying to find the source of the voice he had just heard. He had sort of been dreading his new friend's return...as all he would be able to tell him was his failure at manning up enough to create a team at the Guild by himself...but at the same time, he really wanted to make sure that he was alright.

Thankfully, he sounded just fine. All that he had to do now was find that Froakie....

Lee continued to run through the town looking for Jet. As he ran Lee reached up with one of his hands and lightly grabbed the black scarf that was around his neck. He had received it from his father and it was supposed to help him with his training. It was now one of the few things that Lee had remaining to remember his father by. Lee then continued to run through the town in search of Jet.

Eventually as Lee ran he saw an orange pokemon that resembled a young member of the Kamaitachi Clan. Lee immediately recognized this pokemon as Jet, and it was actually really close to where he had initially met Jet in the first place. "JET!!" he shouted once he spotted Jet. Lee approached Jet, who seemed to be looking around for him as well, and came to a skidding halt right in front of his partner. "Found you!" he shouted once he came to a stop.

Jet's head perked up even higher when he heard the familiar voice once again. This time, it had announced his own name from directly behind him. He soon spun around...and saw a familiar, blue frog-like Pokémon rushing toward him. There was no doubt about it...this oddly-colored Froakie was none other than his own companion, Lee, having returned from his village after so long. He smiled slightly and raised a paw to wave at the incoming Water-type Pokémon...but he froze when he realized that Lee was not slowing down yet.

Jet instinctively, visibly flinched as Lee drew closer, even going so far as to shut his eyes for a few moments before Lee did actually start slowing down. He opened them when he did not feel the expected collision and heard the Froakie speak again. He opened his eyes and relaxed himself a little bit before allowing another nervous smile. "H-hey there, Lee..." he replied. "It's...good to see that this time by yourself hasn't changed you much."

Speaking of changes, Jet couldn't help but notice the new scarf that was tied around Lee's neck. "...Is that...a scarf?" he asked. "I have to say, it looks odd alongside your bright coloration. Then again, I suppose black does kind of go with just about everything, huh...?" He looked at the cloth, inspecting it without touching it and without drawing nearer as well as he could. Likely, he received it from some member of his clan...likely somebody in his direct family. "Where did you get it...?"

Apart from his curiosity...Jet also was trying to distract himself and put off his report of failing to even register the team as he had been asked to do....

"Glad to see ya Jet!" Lee said now that he had stopped in front of Jet. When Jet mentioned the scarf, Lee looked down at it and grabbed it, "I got it from my father, he passed it on to me in order to help with my training." he said. Lee thought back to the moment the clan elder handed him the scarf. Lee was still to sad at the time to fully appreciate the gift he had been give. But now that he had to some extent recovered, he was glad to have received such a gift from his father.

Jet nodded back to Lee with a smile. "It...it's good to see you again as well, Lee." he replied, finally starting to relax again. Lee was definitely a Pokémon that one would need to get used to. Even he wasn't quite at that point yet. However, he was starting to get comfortable around him...and that was what mattered. He could talk rather calmly without clamming up or shying away. "Your father...?" Jet asked, looking at it. "...Then...did he...?" he trailed off at that, looking at Lee again. He almost didn't want to bring it up...but he needed to be sure. Perhaps talking about it could help as well. Although, he was sure that Lee was more interested in the Guild than catching up on everything that had happened right now. "S-sorry, if you don't want to talk about it, then I understand," he added lowly and apologetically.

Lee was still taking some time thinking about his father, but he figured it was best to get back to what he originally planned to be there for. "Yea we can talk about that later," he said, "But come on, I want to get assigned a mission so we can get to work! Lets go!" Lee looked around, realizing he still didn't know where the guild was since he had only spent a day in the town before he had to go home. "So you can show me to the guild right? Because I still don't know how to navigate the town well."

At the mention of getting assigned a mission, Jet's eyes widened slightly. "Uh...y-yeah, about that...." Jet murmured lowly and nervously. He reached one of his paws over to the side of his opposite arm and rubbed it uncertainly. To Lee, his hesitation and stammering could quite easily be deciphered...clearly, there was something he was hesitant to say. "S-sure, I can show you the way if you want. But, erm...I...w-well, I...kind of...have a confession to make...."

With that, Jet trailed off for a few moments. After these few moments of silence, he knew that Lee expected something from him, so he let out a small sigh. "...The truth is...I never actually...erm...created the team." He then immediately brought his paws together and looked at the Froakie apologetically, his eyes practically begging for forgiveness. "I-I'm sorry, I know you were counting on me to do that, b-but every time I went up to the Guild's entrance I just...I would be by myself and I would get overwhelmed and I'd just...walk away. I'm sorry, I...I'll understand if you don't want a coward like me with you anymore.... Y-you just have to say so...!"

Jet spoke quickly, delivering all of his excuses quickly. It was clear from his demeanor that this was something he had taken to heart and taken seriously...something he was clearly stressed about. Even though, in reality, it probably was not as big a deal as he made it out to be.

Admittedly Lee was a little bit upset that Jet had yet to register the team. But this wasn't so much that Lee was upset with Jet, he was mostly upset at the fact that he and Jet couldn't go and get their first mission immediately. "Okay you can make up for that later," Lee said, "Now come on, either way we need to go to the guild so we can register our team!" Lee started to run off in a random direction. Because now he was excited with the fact that he would be able to be present for the actual creation of the team. And now after being home for a short time, he actually had an idea on what to name their team. Lee hadn't even considered the possibility that he was going in the wrong direction.

Jet's eyes widened slightly as he heard what Lee had to say. "B-but...." he started, but he allowed himself to quickly trail off. He was surprised that Lee was willing to let it slide. ...At least for now. He smiled slightly to himself and nodded to him instead of protesting. "O-okay, I promise I'll make up for it somehow. I'll even train with you all night if it means making it up to you." He then turned to head toward the northern side of town, where the Guild was...only to see that Lee had taken off in the opposite direction. He was stunned for a moment, taken by surprise that the Froakie, who had just asked him to lead him to the Guild a moment ago was bounding off without even waiting for his directions.

Then again, he supposed that that was just what made Lee himself.

"L-Lee, wait...!" Jet called after the Froakie, chasing after him. "You're going the wrong way...!"

Lee came to a quick stop when Jet had called out to him telling him that he was moving in the wrong direction. In retrospect he should have let Jet lead the way in the first place.

Now that Jet had shown Lee how to properly make it to the guild. The two of them were standing outside of the guild building. Lee looked around on the outside and didn't notice anyone standing guard. "I'm surprised there is nobody watching the entrance." Lee said, "What if they get attack by bandits or another guild or something." Lee was expecting a guard because there was always people on guard duty back in the village. Occasionally bandits would try to break in, but the guards would always stop them from making it that far, so he was expecting something similar with the guild.

When the two arrived at the Guild, Jet looked around. It was still a lot smaller than he would have expected. There was but a single bird Pokémon of some kind perched near the top of the Guild, but the Pokémon seemed rather inattentive. Lee might have missed the bird Pokémon, but he still had to somewhat agree with him. He would have expected the Guild to have been more heavily guarded, if only because brigands could potentially show up one day and simply storm the Guild...perhaps while the Guildmaster was out if they didn't have the confidence to take them on.

"...Well, from my ventures around the town and the information that I gathered in your absence, the townsfolk seem to really respect the Guild and what it does," Jet replied to Lee. "I suppose they simply do not feel it to be necessary to spare the manpower for more guards in such a peaceful location and they keep an open door to the citizens. The security might be somewhat lacking, but the townsfolk seem to prefer it this way. Makes it seem more inviting."

With his theory sufficiently explained, he looked around. He saw no other Pokémon around...not even any teams going in and out of the building. With that, he decided on the two best courses of action that did not involve turning back again.

"The way I see it, we have two options," Jet murmured, looking over toward Lee. "We can either ask that bird Pokémon up there," He gestured toward the Pidgeotto roosted above the Guild. "...and see if he knows what we're supposed to do...or we just go inside and take a look around. If we're not supposed to be in there, then I highly doubt that we could be blamed when there is a clear lack of guards at the front door." He then nodded. "I am leaning more toward the latter option, as the lack of front guards seems to signify an open-doors policy. I believe that we can reasonably assume that we can freely go in...." With his basic, yet unnecessarily complex analysis complete, he looked over at Lee. "What do you think? You're the team leader, after all."

"Lets just go right inside," Lee said, "If the guard does his job and stops us then we will just ask to go in." Lee then started to hop towards the front door of the guild. He had originally noticed the bird pokemon, but it also wasn't hard to notice that he wasn't doing his job and wasn't a very diligent guard, which is why Lee made the comment about the guild not being guarded.

Lee easily made it inside to the guild and the bird pokemon did nothing. Once inside Lee shouted out, "I wish to enlist myself under command of your master! Where must I go to do so?" Normally this was how some visitors of the clan would say they were willing to help the clan. Or sometimes people would come to the clan requesting them to complete a job. Lee assumed that this was how things were done here as well and figured that somebody would show them where to go.

Jet nodded and hesitantly followed Lee inside the building. Upon their entrance, they came across a rather small room with a small staircase that led downward, along with chairs that resembled logs. Perhaps they were logs or perhaps they weren't...not that it really mattered right now. What did matter, however, was Lee suddenly shouting a request into the Guild. The sudden shout took Jet by surprise and he visibly flinched from the sudden silence-shattering call into the Guild. "I-I don't think that that was necessary..." Jet commented. He tried to keep it under his breath, so that Lee cold not hear him...but failed miserably.

Suddenly, a voice called from the foot of the stairs. "Just shut that loudmouth of yours and go see the Guildmaster on the second floor." the voice half-growled at them. "Geez...friggin' lunatic almost gave me a heart attack...." As the voice spoke, it grew quieter. Clearly, the source of the voice was walking away, whoever it was.

With that confirmation, Jet couldn't help but let out a small, nervous chuckle. "W-well, I suppose that that's one way to get answers...." he muttered to Lee. "I...I suppose we should go find this Guildmaster's chambers then." He took a step forward, meaning to walk down the small flight of steps...but froze. At this point, if he went down there, there would be no turning back. And for some reason, this was something he was hesitant to just walk into. "...Erm...a-after you...t-team leader...?" he murmured lowly, blushing slightly at his own timidity.

"Okay," Lee said as he went forward and down the stairs in front of Jet. Lee was surprised that nobody was willing to help, or at least responding to his offer to enlist in the guild. He looked around for someone that he could ask for directions to the 'Guildmaster'. Lee's eyes set upon a small gray metallic pokemon that had a small spike on its back. "Excuse me, where can I find this 'Guildmaster' so that me and my ally Jet may form an official team."

The small pokemon, an Aron, turned around surprised at Lee's sudden question. "Oh, the guildmasters room?" he asked. "All you need to do is go through that door there," he said indicating a door at the other end of the room. "Then go to the left and its the door all the way at the end of the hallway," he said, "Just knock."

"Okay," he said, "thank you." Lee then turned to Jet, "Come on Jet lets go!" Lee then ran ahead towards the door expecting Jet to follow him.
