| The vixen seemed to be crying now, she attempted to grab the stick from the archeops, but Acro stood on his legs and held his head high along with using his less injured wing to keep it down. She seemed to be too busy bawling and attempting to take back her wand to even pay attention.
"She gets bored," another dull and rather lazy sounding voice sounded from the south of the group. The archeops turned to see a slugma looking at them rather lazily, as if he wasn't surprised by this event.
"S-S-Slu-Slu-Slugmaaaa, they're trying to st-steal my waaand!" The braixen cried.
"As if, you probably attacked first again didn't you?" the slugma huffed.
Acro blinked, a bit confused by this entire event. From what he could gather, the slugma and Braixen knew each other. The braixen seemed to do this kind of thing all the time from the sounds of it, and the slugma was probably the one who she was calling when she sent that pillar of flames into the air.

| Disappointing. Sova's comment fell on deaf ears. On top of that, the Braixen was now crying. What happened to trying to kill them? Was this the same Pokemon? Regardless, he felt a bit guilty now, even though they were only defending themselves. He noticed the Slugma, who didn't seem surprised or worried at all despite apparently knowing their attacker. Why didn't the Slugma care? Had this Braixen done this kind of thing before? Was it a common occurrence?
He couldn't believe the Braixen was really trying to say they were STEALING though. "Hey! He only took it so you'd stop attacking us!" He was speaking loudly, but not because he was mad, just to get the attention of the blubbering vixen.

| The slugma seemed to roll his eyes, "I know, I know, this has become an almost daily occurrence." He seemed to heave a sigh and looked to the braixen, "Stop your bawlin' and apologize, you know I don't fall for this." The braixen sniffled and wiped a false tear from her eye, she seemed to growl and started saying, "I'm NOT apologizing until I get my stick back!!" "I guess you're not getting your stick back then," the slugma huffed. "NOOO please! I'm sorry, i'm sorry-heheheee!" the braixen began bawling again, reaching her paws out for her stick in Acro's jaws again.
The archeops had to admit this was quite the strangest of sights he had ever seen. He seemed to hesitate to give the stick back, but the bawling braixen was on her knees begging for it. He lowered his head and dropped the stick. The braixen snatched the stick back and ran off, still crying. Acro blinked and looked to Sova and the Slugma, wondering if either of them were going to make another comment.

| Sova simply stared at this point, he had given up trying to talk. He was barely even following the odd Braixen's words over all the crying. By the time the vixen ran off, he let out a sigh of relief. He didn't have anything else to say on the matter, just relief. "Lets....go. This has taken up a lot of time. Thank you, kind Slugma." He said as he set out walking again towards the center of the crater. He'd been in a lot of annoying situations, but this probably took the cake. He would have considered just leaving the area if not for him being so sure the treasure was somewhere there.
At least they had traveled a bit towards the center. He couldn't see anything that could be a treasure yet, but he still had high hopes.

| The archeops looked to the slugma once more, nodding his thanks. The slugma nodded in return and seemed to begin crawling off in the direction of the Braixen. The slugma stopped and turned its head to speak, "Be careful of Fluff-ball over there, any other pokemon might've eaten him for a snack," it turned and continued on its way.
The archeops took a few quick steps and caught up with the Eevee quickly. He noticed that they seemed to be getting closer to the center. Acro wondered if perhaps the treasure would be in the center, what if it was under a pit of lava? A bit of worry tapped into his mind, his burns not helping in his travels, but not harming him to the point of being unable to return. They weren't serious, and were likely to fade as he got used to them.

| Called a snack again, and after winning two fights in a row and doing his best to show he wasn't weak. Sova wasn't one to get mad easily but this particular exploration was really ticking him off. At this point, he was making no effort to hide his agitation, focusing on the path ahead and being noticeably quieter than at the start of the exploration.
The center was close, he just had to put up with all of the annoyance a little longer and he would have proof he wasn't weak. But what if the treasure wasn't there? Worse, what if he found it and no one cared? He looked ahead, still nothing resembling a treasure in sight.

| The archeops hadn't quite noticed the eevee's agitation, until the eevee stopped hiding it. He noticed that the paw steps seemed to be a bit heavier and the tail seemed to swish back and forth harshly while his ears were a bit lowered. He grew a bit concerned, wondering if it was something he had said. He spoke, "I...Is something wrong?" he questioned the eevee, hoping the eevee wasn't going to suddenly begin yelling at him for something he had done. The archeops had been walking alongside the eevee, his pace slower so that the eevee would keep up with him easier. | |

| Sova continued being silent for a moment before speaking. "How come everyone thinks I'm so weak? Everyone's worried about me, what about you? You're the one that-" He stopped himself abruptly, not wanting to say something that he may have regretted. "Nevermind." He didn't want to lower himself to insulting others just because he was upset. Plus, the Archeops was probably plenty stronger than him, so he was in no place to talk down to the bird. | |

| Acro's head tilted as the eevee cut off his own sentence and told the archeops to forget about it. He felt the urge to point out that they were in a area with rather powerful pokemon live in this area, the archeops held his tongue, figuring that it wouldn't help one bit. His mind turned to what the eevee had been talking about before he had cut himself off, was he implying that Acro was weak? "But, You're supposed to grow stronger when you evolve. Did something go wrong?" the archeops fell to silence as he followed the eevee, trying to determine the answer to the question that was his strength. Was he really still weak? | |

| Sova noticed the awkward silence and attempted to break it. "When I said forget it, I didn't mean don't say anything...." Great, now he had probably upset his ally too. That wouldn't be useful in the slightest if they got into a fight and it certainly wouldn't help with casual talk while they were walking. He thought over possible things to change the topic, but not much came to mind. "Are you alright?" He meant in terms of the burn and the silence, but didn't want to specify either of them, maybe the archeops didn't want to talk about it. | |

| The archeops came back to attention and nodded quickly, "Oh! Uh, yeah! I'm fine," he had jumped to the conclusion that he had been talking about the wound from the flames. It had stopped hurting as much, but the archeops still wasn't too comfortable with flying. He found it rather surprising that all his life he had been staring at the skies longingly, wishing to take off and take flight, but now that he had the ability to, he was wanting to stay on the ground. "So uh...what do you think the treasure is? What do you want it to be?" Acro attempted to carry on the conversation. | |

| Sova thought for a moment. "Something good. So if I find it, I can tell everyone I'M the one that found it. No one would be able to rightfully call me weak then. But....I don't really care about keeping it and you're doing most of the work, so I guess if we can't share it you can have it. I just wanna be able to say I found it." He said as he looked over the area again. Still no sign of anything resembling a treasure. | |

| The archeops fell silent, unsure of how to respond. He decided to merely drop all attempts of sparking conversation relating to the treasure, and perhaps just speak about the last time he was at this dungeon, "You know, last time I came here, it was with a Dratini and a gengar back when I was still an Archen." He fell silent upon remembering Astrid, the one that had disappeared over the side of a cliff, not to be seen by him again so far. He had believed his old partner to be dead, some had hope, but the archeops just couldn't see how it would have survived the plummet into a river. - Kat carried out 2 launched of one Fiery Chasm :

| "Dratini and Gengar? Are they your teammates? What are their names?" Sova stopped before asking any more questions, not wanting to overwhelm his ally with too many questions at once. He just wanted to know some more about the Archeops that had been so kind as to escort him to the Fiery Chasm. He then considered that he hadn't actually told his ally much about himself. Perhaps he would in a bit, but for now he was much more interested in getting to know Acro. | |

| "Well, no. The gengar belonged to a different team, the dratini used to be a teammate, but you can't exactly be a member of a team when you're dead..." Acro grew a bit quiet, the memories of Astrid's supposed death resurfacing with an even more vivid touch. Acro had, of course, remained silent about the guilt of being the cause of his death haunting him, along with the ghost of a friend that had left him and one that had disappeared without a word of warning.
