| Hardened leaves formed a thick canopy that protected the floor from imposing sunlight. Yets its rays flashed through the walls hole and weaknesses, showering the sun-thirst ground in it benevolence. Out into a single sunspot, Evrae flew past some trees his fur raking the branches that so deviated in path from the horizontal blanket above. The silence of the forest was louder than anything Evrae had felt, he was amazed of how so peaceful the forest was, yet fearful of the vicious inhabitants that the forest so currently witheld. Quiet was a bad sign for Evrae, for him, noise was knowledge, it was what told where something was, or what activity was possibly being commited. Which meant quiet would mean two things, there was no inhabitants or activity, which he knew to be not true, or something was good enough to escape his audio radar.
"Oh Pecha berries, there are a lot in here! Good for mild poison, especially from pokemon attacks. They also taste really good and because there in season they tastes ripe and have good potency!" Evrae began to talk to himself to distract him from the silence, it was giving him a headache and causing him to cold sweat. Deciding he had flew long enough he landed himself down onto a slow patch of grass that had been bless with the waterfall sunlight. He looked around and observed his surroundings, he quickly came to the conclusion he was lost. He had come to the forest in an attempt to train, after all he barely had escape the clutches of his last altercation and new he had to train himself before he was ready for the guild. He kneeled down and pressed his ears against the ground, it was silent."Geez are there no pokemon to spar with? That one guy said something about pokemon in forest always willing to help someone train!" It appears he was also misinformed. His ignorance has landed him in the palm of a dungeon. One he may or not be able to get out of.
"I hope I someone here! I gotta show Aria how strong I am!" He continued to listen for any noise, the slightly movement would cause the noibat to home onto the target like a laser guided missile."Boy this is tiring..."

| As Marshall trudged along the not-so-beaten path, he stopped for a few seconds to admire the amazing sun rays, beaming through the cover of leaves to meet the dirt and grass below. It was something quite unlike anything he had seen before, such a huge contrast to the endlessly stretching sand and hills of the desert. It's like something I might dream up in my sleep... Marshall thought to himself, before turning himself back forwards to continue walking. I wonder if the rest of the world has places that look this amazing. No matter how many times I see this forest, it never ceases to amaze me.
Snapping out of his wonder, Marshall returned to a state of focus and determination. The last time he had let his guard down, this forest hadn't treated him nicely. He wasn't about to let a wild Pokémon get the jump on him this time. This forest has made it pretty difficult for me to train. There could be plenty of grass-type Pokémon scattered about, and I need to be at the top of my game if I want to even stand a chance against them. As Marshall finished his thoughts, he let a few words slip from his mouth. "I might be at a disadvantage, but I'm not going to let just anyone get in the way of my goal". |

| Not a single rustle, not one movement could be heard. Evrae was about to lose his mind, after all nothing could get past his ears for what he assumed. He pressed his ears against a log. Nothing. He pressed his ears against the sodden ground. Nothing. He even pressed his ears in a sun-basked creek. Nothing. The Noibat's patience was at it's tipping point,"Where is everyone!" He exclaimed.
Sudden, Evrae's ear twitched ever so slightly, the silence has increased Evrae's sensitivity tenfold, and even with the every so distance rustle; Evrae knew he had found something. His head turned straight into the direction of Marshall, silently he shot up and perched himself on higher ground in order to better locate his prey. From the foot steps his audio radar, could tell him the tiniest details; Small, slow, and twice as heavy as he was.
"There you are." Evrae had gone into complete auto-pilot, his bolted forward, his wings making making minimal noise. He didn't need anything other noises distracting him. He moved as if he was the wind, winding through the trees branches and leaves yearning to fallow behind. Alas, he could finally see the Trapnich,"HAAAAAAA!" He gave a loud yell, as he dashed straight at Marshall. With reckless abandon he was on a kamikaze course to the side of the Trapinch. He had accumulated enough speed, but would it be enough to take down a Pokemon with twice his mass?

| Marshall kept his guard up as he continued to walk through the trees. The longer he walked for, the more nervous he got. How come he had gotten this deep into the forest without encountering even a single Pokémon? Slowly, Marshall's thoughts on the forest were changing from an exciting new place to a cold and unfamiliar one. At this point, the suspense was messing mith Marshall; he just couldn't shake the feeling that he had been walking for far too long without a confrontation. When he couldn't handle the pressure for a second longer, Marshall stopped dead in his tracks. Come on... I know someone's gotta be here somewhere, and I'm not about to let them take me by surprise-- Marshall's thoughts were shattered as he was ambushed by a previously hidden Pokémon.
Taken aback in surprise, Marshall's body remained still as the force of the tackle pushed him along the grass. Friction started to take effect immediately, slowing Marshall to a halt after a few seconds. Recovering from his shock, Marshall attempted to catch a glimpse of his attacker, but the shade of the trees prevented him from doing so. Thinking quickly, Marshall tried to throw his attacker off of his body, while also performing a Sand Attack. Maybe he could drive the Pokémon away eventually if he bought some time for now. |

| After a successful tackle, Evrae was elated his attack connected, however he was less enthusiastic as he realized his tackle was so effective in bringing down him target,"Eh?" He gripped tightly with his claws as he had begun to rodeo the struggling Trapinch."Woah-woah-hey there!" Evrae was immediately jettisoned of Marshall. Quickly flapping his wings he flew above his target, using his power of flight to escape the angle of the sand attack.
"Haha! Nice try, but those ground attacks won't work on me!"
Evrae darted backwards keeping an eye on Marshall praised himself for his smooth reactions. But his hubris would become his downfall as he was not looking where he was flying. Subsequently, his head collides with a tree branch and Evrae comes spiraling down crashing onto the hard ground below,"Oww...That hurt..." He was now extremely exposed due his carelessness, and his new founded migraine was not helping in his recovery. |

| Marshall took a second to breathe after freeing himself from the other Pokémon. Unfortunately for the Trapinch, this meant that he had no time to identify his attacker before it escaped from Marshall's range of attack. Marshall took a minute to consider the Pokémon's words: "Haha! Nice try, but those ground attacks won't work on me!" It must be a flying Pokemon, then. Marshall thought to himself. That meant Marshall only had one effective method of attack: he needed to get up close. Whoever this Pokémon is, I can't get at it right now. Maybe I should just try to find some cover before it attacks again...
Marshall's thoughts were cut short by a loud thwacking noise, and he held his ground, stunned, as the Pokémon plummeted to the ground. Immediately, Marshall's brain switched gears, and his thoughts of anger were replaced with those of concern. Oh man, I didn't want to hurt it that much... Marshall took a brief minute to examine the Pokémon. He hadn't seen this species before, and to Marshall its most distinguishable features were its wings and large ears. I should probably check to see if it's okay. Quickly checking his surroundings to confirm that there was nobody approaching, Marshall slowly and carefully closed in on the fallen Pokémon. |

| Noibat poised himself when he regain his bearings. Standing up on him legs, he scratched his head, and lets his eyes adjust to the lighting situation. It was not until a few seconds that he notice the slowly approaching Trapinch. Evrae tilted his head in confusion,"Huh? Who are you?" After he only got a silhouette oh what he was targeting and he largely relied on his echo-location to only get an idea of the Pokemon he was targeting.
Noibat looked at the Trapinch mouth gawking at the Pokemon. He thought about what Marshall looked like then. Eureka! Noibbat quickly closed in and invaded the privacy of the Trapinch,"I know what you are! You're a trapinch! I never thought I would be able to find on you here! Back in my hometown, you guys always stay outside of the cave, digging your burrow and stuff. The Durants would always complain about how your tunnels would intersect with their own tunnels sometime. But you guys would leave after you evole, so most of the Durants tolerate you guys. Speaking of which don't you guys evolve into Flygons! I think those are the best dragon types! My mom's in law was a Flygon, he was really nice! We called him Uncle despite him only being 5 years older than us! We played a lot of games like tag, but he would always win, although when my bro-" He pause for a moment, suddenly taking in his surrounding.
"Huh? Why am I here?" He stood there gawking at the Trapinch again,"Oh yeah I remembered! I came here to spar with the local Pokemon! Sorry about I was a bit excited that I forgot to ask first before fighting you! Oh where are my manners? Hi, I'm Evrae the Noibat, who're you?" Evrae's bubbly attitude would be quite surprising and awkward for someone in this situation. He had nearly disregarded the fact he had just blindly attack someone, and was now making amends. His actions make no sense. In fact one would think that Evrae would be more worried about the massive bump on his head than greeting a stranger in the middle of nowhere. |

| Marshall stood still, frozen in awe and mouth agape as the erratic Noibat jumped up, completely disregarding its injuries, and randomly began to feed Marshall a rather large chunk of information that wasn't remotely applicable to the situation at hand. Unable to get a word in edgewise, Marshall drowned out the noise with his thoughts, if only for a little while. Woah, this guy is crazy! Not ten seconds ago he nearly knocked himself out, and now he feels the need to recite his life story to me? Oh well, I suppose I'll humor him for a little while.
Marshall left his mind to see that the Noibat had stopped speaking for a moment. However, the silence was short lived, as a few seconds later, the easily excitable Pokémon had set himself off again. I swear, this guy has an infinite amount of energy... Marshall continued to listen to the Noibat, this time paying more attention. So he was only looking to spar and become stronger... I guess he's like me in that sense. Marshall was finally given the chance to reply when the Noibat asked for his name. However, Marshall was so dumbfounded at this point that all he could manage was an incomprehensible stutter.
"Oh, um,... My name is, uh, er, it's, um..." |

| Evrae stood the eager for the Trapinchto reveal his name, Evrae twisted his head in confusion as Marshall hesitantly reveal his name,"That's a wierd name, has a nice ring to it, bu not like any name I've ever heard off?" Evrae got closer his presence even more invasive now,"Well nice to meet you Uheritsum! That's name is every exotic! Are you foreign? You look kinda foreign but I guess that is expected of Trapinch. You guess are More akin to desert places! Although there might by a desert somewhere in this region I forget? Is there? I would be interested to kno-" Evrae stopped and hiss ear suddenly twitch.
"How long has we been here?" He turned his head like a turret this ears acting as a radar,"I thing I hear something?" His ears twitched once more and his head spun quickly into on direction. It appears he had located another significant amount of movement in the distance."Hey did you hear that?" He asked rehtorically. Although he was not as familiar with the ear system of Trapinch, he speculated Marshall senses where quite good. |

| Marshall gave a sigh internally as the Noibat went off on a rant again before Marshall could actually give his name. Man, I swear that this guy could create an hour-long speech on just about anything... I wonder how long he's going to go on this time? Luckily for Marshall, the Noibat stopped before too long, His ears twitching and his head rotating, as if he were on high alert. Marshall used this opportunity to speak. "Er, actually, my name is Marshall..." Marshall managed to sneak in before the Noibat started talking again. "How long have we been here?", the Pokémon asked. Marshall thought about replying, but he realized he wouldn't have time to do so before the Noibat continued. "Hey, did you hear that?" the Noibat asked. No, I didn't, Marshall thought. Maybe I'd have better luck if you stopped talking for just one second. Although Marshall hadn't heard the sound the Noibat spoke of, he decided to take the Pokémon's word for it and turned his head to examine the area that the Noibat was staring at. At first, he couldn't see much, but after a few seconds he made out something in the distance... - Guest carried out 1 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| (occ: Oh so thats how you roll for encounters! I didn't grasp the concept till now, ill row next time. Also I'm assuming I should take role for the enemy pokemon?) Evrae flew up, picking up dust as he noticed the two pokemon, it was a Tangela and an Pineco. The two seemed to be together and acting as one group. The two slowly moved to each side of Evrae and Marshall, silently not saying a word. Evrae blinked in confusion slightly uneased by the situation. Speaking a diplomatic approached he attempts to small talk the two pokemon,"Oh hey! You two surprise us I tho-" As fast as the Noibat open his mouth the Tangela threw out a vine-whip. Evrae quickly lower his altitude the whip grazing the tips of his ear. Evrae flew down and landed next to Marshall, who at the time was recognizable the only friendly Pokemon Evrae could count on. "M-Marshall was it? I know I just met you... but we seemed to be in a tight situation... Can you hold off that Pineco?" Evrae was holding the top of his ear, his face hidden and down. Suddenly Evrae bolt straight up again,"Because no-one hits my ears!" His anger fumed to the Tangela, as Evrae used tailwind at a sharp breeze of air formed behind him and Marshall, to increase their speed for 3 turns. The aggressors held steadfast, the Tangela moving his tentacles braced for sticking. The Pineco floated steadily, not moving much from it's location, but obvious aggressive. It stared at Marshall poised to attack. A hard silence increased the tension, before suddenly the Tangela threw his tentacles out and grabbed Pineco he helped pulled it to Marshall, where Pineco was no speeding in with a tackle with Tengela's help. - Guest carried out 1 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| (OOC: Yeah, the dice are simple once you understand them. Also, we can both take the role as the enemy Pokémon as we see fit.) Marshall's mind raced as the Pineco sped towards him at a blazing speed. As he was about to brace for impact, he felt a harsh wind blowing behind him. As the wind swirled around him, Marshall was filled with adrenaline. He wasn't sure why, but the wind was certainly exhilarating. In fact, it excited him so much that Marshall decided to do something crazy.
Utilizing Tailwind's power, Marshall swiftly dodged aside the Pineco's tackle. In mid-jump, Marshall made use of his large jaw, using Bite with a mouth big enough to clamp over the Tangela's vines. Surprised by this, the Tangela lost its grip on the Pineco, sending it flying into a nearby clump of bushes. Marshall also lost his grip afterwards, slamming into the ground and doing a few rolls before stopping. His plan had taken care of the Pineco temporarily, but the bushes also happened to be the hiding place of a Zigzagoon, who was not happy about being woken. Marshall checked behind him to see how the Noibat was faring before engaging into battle once again.

| (occ: I spun wanting an item... We get another pokemon/shot) The tailwind exponentially increased the speed of the already hasty Noibat to reach staggering speeds,"HYAAAH!" He rushed downward and plants hims leg on the Tangela tentacle and send himself flying to the Tangela who had just released him partner. Evrae opens his jaws and sinks his teeth and uses leech life to sap the energy from Tangela, because Tangela is a grass type, his affinity has cause twice the energy gained. The Tangela flails frantically as the parasite continues to absorb its vital nutrients. Evrae presses harder and the Tangela begins to try to chock him out with vine whip. It seemed they where in a stalemate and Evrea had the edge.
The ill tempered Zigzagoon woke up, eyes red with sleep deprivation and anger. The hair on it's back tighten and stand up, he hisses at the intruding Pineco and quickly sends it flying with a headbutt. The Pineco is sent flying and is sent flying at Zigzagoon. Lean and strong the Zigzagoon comes from it's nest, for a Zigzagoon, it's size and stature was impressive, and it's anger snout added to it's terrible image. It was powerful enough to send Pineco flying (poor Pineco) back. He looked like an enemy that would require at least two to defeat.

| Marshall returned his gaze to the recently awakened Zigzagoon just in time to see it launch the Pineco like a rocket with a ferocious Headbutt. Once again utilizing the speed of Tailwind, Marshall ducked his head just enough to prevent an injury and send the Pineco upwards into the branches of a nearby. That should keep it busy for a while, Marshall thought, thanking his lucky stars for Tailwind and his thick skull. Giving one last look up at the tree, Marshall returned his attention to the Zigzagoon.
Oh boy, this thing looked tough. It had just sent that Pineco flying like it was nothing! Marshall gulped as he assessed the situation. Okay, there's just no way that I'll be able to take this thing down, as much as I would like to. Maybe if we worked together, though... Marshall shot a glance at his newfound partner, who was busy dealing with the Tangela. It looks like he's got the situation under control over there. Maybe if I keep this thing busy, we'll be able to fight it together. Taking a deep breath, Marshall turned to face the Zigzagoon. Here goes nothing... Marshall off with an Earth Power attack. Unfortunately, getting whacked on the head slightly affected his aim. This meant that the Earth Power was enough to knock the Zigzagoon back a bit, but not enough to do significant damage. |

| (Occ: Was really conflicted whether I should make Tangela knocked by earth power, I mean it was your pokemon's move, but it does hit multiple pokemone so... I hope your okay) Evrea tightened his jaws and soon the grip of Tangela slowly got weaker and weaker. Feeling the failure of his opponent, Evrae tightened once more, but as he did one sliver of energy was evoked within his target. The Tangela got a tentacle between them and begun to wrap it around Evrae, encasing in a submissive rope. "Hyargh!" Evrae yelped as he lets go of the Tangela and the table turned with Tangela gaining an advantage.
Evrea looks to the side and sees Marshall in combat with a large Zigzagoon,"A-another one?" He winches and pain and observes as Marshall performs his Earth power."Doesn't that move hit all foes?" he thought has he felt the Tangela loosen it's grip. The tangela is sent flying an subsequently suffers the same fate as the Pineco. "Nice one! Er Marshall!"The Zigzagoon on the other hand it pounds the ground snarling getting reading for an attack. "Uh oh..." Evrae panics at this comrades imminent danger and uses screech on the Zigzagoon to make it more malleable. He hope this would cause it to flinch more to Marshall's attacks.
The fierce wind that stood behind them began to flicker, it seems it would be ending after one more turn. |
