Let's Get Physical! The Fist of the Thunder God!?

It was a quiet, calm day in Springfall Dojo and Violet was outside in her garden as she awaited her next client to arrive. She had recently obtained a Cheri Berry, a type of which was not actually found in her garden yet, and so she was planting it so that next month she would be able to use them both in cooking and others would have the chance to pick them when they visited the dojo.
The Oshawott was just about done when she felt a drop of rain land on her ear. Blinking, she glanced up at the sky. The grey clouds had moved over Grassveil and it was now raining ever so slightly. With a small shrug, Violet finished up her planting and headed back inside, shaking off the moisture with ease as her fur was made to be waterproof.
It was rather fitting really, considering her next client wanted to learn Thunder Punch.

Akuroma had to hold a laugh when he saw the spark simply fall to the floor. He was concerned he overestimated the Pikachu. However, he kept himself ready as Nate prepared another shock, this time it landed on the Ralts horn. Grimacing, the Ralts definitely felt the electricity, and tried to manipulate it as Violet had suggested. It wasn't hard to get the electricity to go where he wanted, it almost immediately went to his arms like he wanted, but... Well, it seems getting it to stay where you wanted was the hard part, as small bolts of electricity shot out of the Ralts' arms and around the room.

Violet blinked as she saw Akuroma trying to hold in a laugh at Nate's expense. She felt slightly irritated by this, though was quickly distracted as the second shock hit it's mark and the Ralts began trying to manipulate it as she had instructed.
What she hadn't expected however, was for the electricity to discharge so violently, sending small bolts around the room. One such bolt hit her square in the chest, knocking her over in surprise. Luckily, the bolt bounced off of her scalchop, not doing any real damage and the Oshawott quickly sat up again.
"Well that was... unexpected," she commented, though she couldn't help but let out a small smile. Even as a dojo tutor she was still learning things. Next time she'd tutor someone in this way, she'd be prepared for what might happen. Looking to Akuroma she grinned, "Want to try again?"

Nate dropped down to the ground, landing with a smirk as the Ralts seemed to lose control of the electricity. Heh, who's laughing now? He thought to himself, getting back up and looking over at the other two, frowning slightly at seeing that Violet seemed to have gotten hit. Well, she seems alright anyways. I hope she is. Her smile and immediate reaction to try it again alleviated any worry the Pikachu had, smirking as he looked back over at Akuroma, waiting for his answer.

Akuroma shook his head as if he was wet, "That...felt weird. I was able to move it, but holding it in my arms proved difficult," he said, not even noticing the other two Pokemon, who seemed to have gotten a kick out of him losing control. When Violet asked if he wanted to try again, Akuroma nodded. He then looked over at Nate, ready for the Pikachu to shock him again.

"You don't really need to hold it there for very long as the electricity itself is meant to be discharged as part of a Thunder Punch move anyway," replied Violet, "I think what you most need to learn is how to concentrate the electrical discharge so that it doesn't do.. well... that," she finished, motioning around the room as if to point to the bolts of electricity that had now ceased. There were a few small scorch marks on the walls though the Oshawott didn't seem to mind very much.

Nate glanced between the two, waiting for everyone to be all set and charging his electricity once more, getting ready for another jolt.
"Alright, round two then?" He said with a smirk, before firing another weaker bolt of electricity at Akuroma, immediately ducking down afterwards and expecting more or less the same end product as the first time around.

Akuroma grimaced again as he tried to manipulate the electricity. For a few moments it started to shoot out of his hands again before the arcs of electricity curved back towards his fists. The Thunder Punch finally formed. However, it was just for a moment before the electricity blasted outwards in a big flash.

When his vision returned to him from the flash, Akuroma found him sitting down, a few sparks of electricity still jumping off of his hands, "Well...was that progress?" he asked. He did successfully make the move, but he wasn't able to hold it for long. There was also the problem with the electricity being from Nate. Akuroma certainly couldn't just have an electric type shock him every time he wanted to use Thunder Punch. He needed to find a way to generate the electricity himself.

Violet took a leaf from Nate's book and dropped to the ground this time around in order to avoid any unwanted bolts of electricity that would end up being produced by the second attempt. She still watched the Ralts however, curious as to how he'd do the second time.

"Definitely progress!" she grinned, hopping back to her feet after the flash of electrical energy, "You actually formed a Thunder Punch this time. Even though it was only for a short period of time that's one step in the right direction!" grinned the Oshawott.
"Perhaps we should try this just a few more times and see if you can hold it for a slightly longer period of time?" suggested Violet.

Nate stood back up as Violet did, looking around the room at the remnants from the two somewhat failed attempts at a Thunder Punch. Hearing Violet make her suggestion, the Pikachu nodded, but decided to ask something.
"That sounds like a good idea. Just a question though, how is he going to use it without an electric type's help? I mean I don't exactly plan on going everywhere with him." He questioned, joking a bit at the end of what he was saying. He charged up some electricity, ready to do it again, but also waited to see if anyone had an answer for it.

Akuroma nodded a bit at Nate's question, "Maybe we should try answering that once I've successfully used the move," he suggested. He truly had no clue as to how he was going to do this without the aid of an Electric type, perhaps his psychic powers could help, as weak as they were. He sighed a bit, not seeing any way he could do that.

"Let's just continue learning the move," he said, looking at Violet in case she disagreed and wanted to solve the problem here and now.

Violet chuckled at Nate's little joke before she attempted to answer their logical questions.
"I was actually hoping that perhaps once Akuroma manages to create a true Thunder Punch, he'll get a feel for what it's like to produce that electricity as it is well in the capability of a psychic type as long as they can figure out how. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it," she replied, respecting the Ralts's wish to continue and also not finding the correct words to explain what she wanted. Violet glanced at the ceiling as she searched for more words, but found herself unable to find the ones she needed and shook her head to herself, her gaze returning to Nate and her client.

"That sounds like a good idea." Nate listened to Violet's reasoning behind the exercises, figuring that they seemed reasonable enough. He turned back to Akuroma, hoping that the Ralts was doing fine with all the jolts of electricity. They weren't all that strong, no, but he was worried the build-up of all of them could end up affecting Akuroma. The Pikachu looked over at him, preparing another charge.
"Alright, here's another then." He said, giving the Ralts time to be ready for it as he fired another jolt of electricity at Aku's horn.

Akuroma nodded at Violet before he got himself ready for another shock. As far as he could tell, the shocks weren't affecting him much. He could still sense the two Pokemon's emotions quite well, except during the shock when he's focusing on the electricity. As Akuroma began to manipulate the electricity again, he was able to hold the Thunder punch longer. A few tense moments went by when he thought they were going to create another flash, but they didn't. Instead he was able to keep the yellow electricity around his arms.

Despite this, he frowned, moving his left arm around, "Feels weird. Not the new experience kinda weird. It feels like the, 'this isn't truly mine' kinda weird," he said looking at his left hand for a second before looking over at Violet.

"So, let's get started on producing my own electricity," he said, not letting the Thunder Punch fade until the Oshawott said to.

Violet's expression grew into another smile as she realised that Akuroma was holding on to the electrical charge that Nate's shock had given him. He'd achieved a Thunder Punch and now the only task ahead was to help him produce his own electricity.
Nodding to the Ralts, Violet spoke, "Alright then. You can discharge Nate's electricity and we'll have a go at forming your own. Now, i'm not a psychic type so I'm not going to be completely adequate at describing how you should do this, but psychic energy has many capabilities and now that you know you can hold and use a Thunder Punch, you should be able to manipulate that energy into producing what you want," she attempted to explain.

"Don't expect me to be able to give you any tips on that either." Nate commented after Violet finished, looking over at Aku.
"I think we have different ways of generating electricity, so what works for me probably won't work for you. I guess you just have to figure it out." He continued. To be honest, the Pikachu was interested in seeing how Aku would manage to do it. Without being an electric type, Nate didn't know how someone could generate their own electricity. Whatever came of his attempts, it would probably be something to see.
