First topic message reminder :

Sosio flew across the sky, the mountain just coming into view. It was large and towered over the sky, like a giant menacing spike that juts up past the clouds.
Here it is...
She glided down to enter the dungeon, adjusting her Defense Scarf.
This is where everyone claims to find that item... With it, I can level up faster... It's going to be really important.
She landed, folding her wings and peering into the dungeon. The little fletchling wan't exactly fully prepared, but she had her scarf and an oran berry. Besides, surely she would find many useful items along the way. But also many dangerous pokemon. It would be tough, and she didn't know what she may face, but it was worth a try. She entered boldly, head held high, scanning her surroundings.
It's a long way up, but no problem. I'm not here to make it to the top, anyways. Would be cool if I did, though...
She knew flying straight to the peak would be impossible. The atmosphere would be too thin, and she was tired of flying all the way there, anyway. She whistled, listening to her echo, and moved forward.

Oh gosh, another Joy Ribbon! That poor Poochyena had had its Joy Ribbon stolen for the second time, meaning that it would exceedingly mad if they ever ran into it again (although this was exceedingly improbable thanks to the damage done to its nose). As the Absol joined the ranks of those who had fled the battle, the dynamic duo were left facing up against the two remaining enemies: a Rampardos and a Sableye. The Rampardos was part of the fray now as it casually slunk forward and prepared itself to attack. Air puffed out of its nose, the particulates splattering against the dark ground as its feet pawed at the earth. The Sableye's twisted grin, unnerving even when it was not in battle, seemed to match the glint that suddenly appeared in its blank, crystal gaze. It had used Leer against them, evidently to lower their defense for the head honcho.

Ares was in no mood to get one hit KO'd simply because his defense was continually lowered, and thus attempted to deliver another Ember onto it. The splintering fire bombarded its purple skin easily as it lifted its arms to protect its face, a sickening chuckle produced as it embraced the pain as best it could.

Sosio gazed in amazement as Ares has found yet another Joy Ribbon, and on his own, too. She wondered what Rampardos could be holding. Maybe something much better, much more important. It would obviously blow off all of her attempted snatch attacks, so she didn't even bother. They were ending up on top, leaving the two strongest pokemon left, and with the faith they had left inside could burst out, taking them to victory. They could consider this the boss battle, because now Sosio noticed there were a set of stairs behind the leader. Perhaps an exit, but maybe something more...

Upset that none of her moves would damage the opposing ghost-type, she watched as the Charmander's defense was lowered. He returned with an attack, but the Sableye seemed to deal with it well.
"Keep ember coming! Dragon move, too, but maybe ember can burn it"
Feeling bad she couldn't possibly help him because she only knew normal-type moves, she used growl to help their playing field even further. What they really needed was a defense-lowering attack to use on the Rampardos. Alerted to a stomping sound beside her, Sosio dodged a headbutt preformed by the leader.
Finally joining the battle, huh? and singling me out, too...
With no ability to hurt the Sableye, she turned suddenly and smacked the Rampardos on the side of its face with a tackle. She suddenly remembered her Amie lessons; every pokemon has a weak spot. But where was Rampardos'? She had to remember...

The Sableye was essentially a chortling, sadistic mess of a creature. Its mad giggles tickled the atmosphere and reverberated against the walls, causing it to be much louder and echo. It skittered about, occasionally walking while other times it would sprint. As Sosio took on the leader with great confidence, Ares found himself squaring off with a rather demonic and demented 'mon. Perhaps this was how it battled: it would purposefully feign insanity in order to alienate its opponent and gain the upper hand, or maybe it was attempting to evoke pity from its adversary. Either option was incredibly possible, but the Charmander would treat it like any other opponent and show no mercy.

He would dash forward and feint to the side as the Sableye attempted to land a Zen Headbutt on him. Ares would promptly retaliate with a Dragon Pulse, spewing forth a sphere of dragon-laced energy. It would explode upon contact with the creature's back, causing it to screech and use Scratch on the Charmander. He would feel the its claws make contact with his shoulder, forcing him to swiftly disengage for the time being.

Sosio saw the insane pokemon and the Charmander battle it out. Charmander attacked it swiftly and powerfully, while the dark-type would wait and attack it once with a weak move: scratch. It knew Zen Headbutt, too, but it allowed itself to use defensive attacks and weak offensive ones. What was it doing? Was it planning something?

Sosio, flying about, dodged the Rampardos' attacks desperately. It was getting harder and harder to keep up with this. She was straining to continue to flap her wings. She needed to psyche herself up, and she knew exactly how. She flew in circles, getting faster and faster above the rampardos' head. There was no way it could use headbutt upward, and it's not like it's little arms could reach her all the way up there. It watched her and closed it's eyes, taking a deep breath. It wasn't being submissive. It was using focus energy. Sosio knew that if this failed, she would be a gonner.
Ares better finish off that Sableye soon... I'm in need of some help...
The purple pokemon shouldn't take too long to defeat. Only a couple more hits and it would be unable to battle. As Sosio was gaining speed, she shot out in one direction, zooming out across the edge of the mountain. Turning on a dime, she zoomed back straight for the Rampardos' belly.
This had better work...
Coming in at blazing speed with Quick Attack, it boosted her speed even further to the point where the slow, giant pokemon wouldn't even have time to attack. Last minute before impact, she used tackle, creating a speed-tackle combo to give power. Slamming into the pokemon's belly, she managed to push it back against the wall, cornering it.
One swipe and he can escape... I hope Ares is doing all right.

Ares was doing fine in comparison to his feathered friend. The Sableye was swiping madly with elongated claws in a series of Scratch attacks that he evaded with some difficulty. Slowly, the Charmander was being pushed back against a wall, which allowed it to use Zen Headbutt. He ducked, just barely being missed by the thick skull that was prominent on the purple ghost. It teetered about, unsure of its surroundings after smashing its head against a wall, allowing Ares enough time to conjure forth a Dragon Pulse. The Sableye was hit squarely, and it whimpered and yelped as it retreated.

An item lingered on the floor where it had fled, and Ares hastily picked it up. He would investigate what it was when they were not under attack. For now, however, he had to help Sosio with the Rampardos the undeniable leader of this band.

It appeared like she was doing her best to maneuver her way around the prehistoric Pokemon, darting here and there with great speed. The predator was thrashing its head about wildly in an attempt to make contact, but seemed to be continually missing its target. It was becoming angry, as evidenced from the way it snorted and growled with each evading movement. Ares would spew forth a Dragon Pulse in order to distract his new opponent and give Sosio a chance to recover. He was going to be the tank now.

Sosio saw the Sableye scurry away, watching Ares pick up yet another item.
"Dibs on Rampardos'!"
She giggled, then stared at the skull pokemon menacingly, foreshadowing that they were going to bring him to his fate. They were going to finish him, right here and now. After they beat this pokemon, they could practically be considered the new leaders. Whatever was beyond those stairs must be something important... Something that the pokemon have been guarding. She watched as the Charmander stepped forward, both of them able to fight the monster. It was two on one now, and nothing could stop them.

Ares started with Dragon Pulse, which gave Sosio a chance to come out from behind. It was the perfect distraction. She was going to try something dangerous. She flew out sneakily behind the Rampardos' back, while the dragon-type attack was still hitting him. She sat on the wall, alert, waiting for just the right time. She looked at the Charmander and blinked. They were going to have a fun little game of ping-pong-pokemon. She readied her muscles, preparing for Ares' next attack. She was sure he could do it hard enough to knock the Rampardos back, and from there the inertia would take him back and forth when the pokemon would attack it from either end. This was going to be awesome... The bully getting bullied. She spoke to the wall to have it bounce back to the Charmander in a way the enemy could not hear, the angle of the sound would be blocked out by its giant horns. She spoke.
"You ready to finish him? 'Cause I haven't batted a pokemon this big before!
Let's go.

Another piece of fabric - assumably a Joy Ribbon - dangled limply from Ares's hand. He would swiftly deposit it into the folds of his presently worn scarf, and the added bulk that it provided was beginning to become apparent. The ribbon, which had originally been tied securely and loosely about his neck, now grew stiff and rigid from the added plushness. He wouldn't able to move his head around as freely as he had done so before, but now wasn't the time to worry about it. A Rampardos stood before them, and it was about time to bring it down.

Whatever Sosio was planning, the Charmander would comply. A smug, content grin spread across his thin lips as he charged forward, speaking, "Well, all good times have to come to an end eventually! The bigger they are, the more satisfying it is when they fall." He was looking forward to the big boom that would accompany such a heavy creature's collision with the ground. The Rampardos had been distracted, for it turned its large cranium directly towards the grounded lizard and saw easy prey. It lurched forward, its skull practically skimming the ground as it moved rapidly towards Ares - who at this point had released another Dragon Pulse.

She watched as Ares found yet another Joy Ribbon. She found two, he found two. She kinda longed for her other ribbon back, but it was a gift, so it made her happy to know the Charmander liked it so much. The Rampardos had no idea Sosio was behind it, and had no idea what was planned. Her ribbon, which was still on her head like a band when she tied it around, blew in the wind. She stood, waiting for someone to move, like a draw of no weapons. It was time to bring this pokemon down once for all. her muscles tensed and she prepared for the attack.

Rampardos swung its neck around and dragged its foot back in the dirt twice, ready to charge. Just as expected, it raged towards the prepared fiery pokemon, who blasted it with an awesome Dragon Pulse. The pokemon went flying straight towards Sosio, who waited for the right time. As the Rampardos flew towards her, its back curved at pointed at her like an arrowhead when it is launched. She pushed off and collided with it with a charged up tackle and Quick Attack, once to stop it and again to send it flying towards Charmander. This process repeated, the best game of Tennis ever. A different sort of "pokemon in the middle." When it was weak enough, Sosio dashed out of the way as the Rampardos crashed into the wall, smashing it completely and disappearing, secretly retreating. She snatched an item up from the ground. She could tell the next floor was The Room. If there were truly chests up there, she didn't know, but the thought excited her.
Let's go and find out...

Just as to be anticipated, Sosio was well prepared for this ending. His Dragon Pulse smacked the Rampardos back, which allowed his feathered compatriot to zoom forward and attack. When the enraged creature was sent back towards him, he would conjure forth another Dragon Pulse to weaken it further. This was quite an enjoyable use of an enemy! Back and forth, this combination seemed to continue until the Rampardos simply stopped in its track. It looked towards the Sosio and back towards Ares with a small sway in its stand. Now was the time to strike, and Sosio did.

There was a tremendous vibration that occurred as the Rampardos was smacked into the wall, causing the room to shudder. A moment of intense silence fell into effect before the creature rose awkwardly to its feet and half-stumbled, half-galloped out of the room and back the way Ares and Sosio had came. Two items had been dropped by the Rampardos, one of which she picked up. The Charmander would pick up the other, and move towards the stairs that occupied the far side of the room. He would cast an expression back to his companion after he had climbed to the top, "Ready for more?"

The Rampardos was defeated. It was probably the end of the dungeon. What could be better? Ares had gotten his item, and Sosio got hers. She hopped about, scanning the rest of the floor where the battle had taken place. They had won. Pure victory. To the top, and the peak, Charmander had climbed. She followed right behind.
"Ready for more? What could you possibly mean?"
She was too tired to protest. It took a lot of energy to blow a giant pokemon away. She entered the room, as if she was half asleep, and hopped onto the Charmander's head, tucking her beak under her wing.
"We did it..." she yawned. "Yay..."
Her energy was sucked from her, and she didn't even take a glimpse at the new room. Ares can wake her up... She wanted to sleep even if it was for two seconds...
