| First topic message reminder :
A young girl with pale brown hair tied in a ponytail, wandered down the hallway of the Shin'ō Academy (or as the locals called it: the Shinigami Academy) in her white and red uniform. Her destination was the board upon which the school posted important messages and information. She was incredibly nervous. After taking the entrance exam for the academy, she was about to find out whether or not she had gained a place at the school.
With the board finally in sight, Kiyomi stopped walking all of a sudden. She couldn't quite see anything that was written, but her nerves seemed to have gotten the better of her. What if she didn't get a high enough score? What if she would have to wait to retry the entrance exam? She was never this nervous about anything and it felt unnatural to her. But her mind focused on one thing; if she didn't get into the academy, what if she hurt her friend again?
As these thoughts crept into her already nervous mind, a group of other students wandered past her, evidently headed for the board. Kiyomi stood for a moment and watched, waiting to see what their results were. Judging from the large smiles that were passed around the group shortly after, they had succeeded. With a small sigh, Kiyomi closed her eyes, still standing in the middle of the hall. "Alright, pull yourself together Kiyomi," she thought to herself, trying to pluck up the courage to move forward, "You'll never find out how you did if you just stand here."
Opening her teal blue eyes and nervously twisting a hand through her wavy, pale-brown ponytail, she took a few steps forward until she was stood in front of the large board. Glancing at it, she scanned all of the pinned up papers, looking for the correct one. Finding the list of students who had taken the exam, she scanned down it for her name:
Shiratori Kiyomi.... Pass
All of her former nervousness evaporated instantly and a wide grin spread over her face as she read the result. The sheet neglected to mention scores, possibly out of respect for those students who had failed, however Kiyomi didn't really care. She had passed! There was a small note pinned to the entrance exam results telling everyone who had passed to find their name on one of the class lists and prepare for their first lessons. Nodding to herself, Kiyomi began to scan each of the lists, looking for the class she had been put into.

| (Tis fine |D Also sorry for belated short post |D) Rake had kept to his task of following Kiyomi, watching her perform a soul burial on a small child. The shinigami knew not what else to do, he did not want to approach her about leaving her group just yet, surely she had a purpose. | |

| Continuing to head away from her group, Kiyomi kept her senses open. The instructions had been to use a concentrated flare of her reiryoku to attract more powerful hollows to the area, targeting the sixth years present. It was a clear attempt to murder someone and though she wished to have no part in it, Kiyomi could not count on this group's mercy to protect her brother. She did not wish for him to become involved with something so.. horrible. She did not wish to see him get hurt.
Picking a position finally, Kiyomi made her way to the roof of a building. She then began attempting to imitate the concentrated bursts of reiryoku that she had detected on the night that Yujin and Tora had died, her heart questioning her own actions as she did so.
Could she really do this? What if someone died...? What if she caused someone else's grief and pain.. like Esa had caused hers and Rake's? She hesitated once more at the thought. It had taken her weeks to recover after her friend had been killed.... No. Stop it. Stop over thinking... If I don't do this.. they'll..., she thought, not realising that there was a slight tremble in her hands as she continued forming the reiryoku signature. She had refused to voice the last part, even within her mind. She wouldn't let it happen.

| Rakeshisu took very little time to realize what his friend was doing, he felt the Pressure(?) around him change, and her reiryoku changing to something that felt similar to back when Tora had died. He had felt the strange signature, but thought nothing of it. Only now did he realize that it was the same thing that Kiyomi had been talking about to attract hollows.
Rake's eyes widened and he leaped out from his hiding spot, which had been a nearby tree and he was surprised Kiyomi hadn't sensed him sooner, and grabbed onto Kiyomi's shoulder to turn her around sharply, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!? Are you INSANE?" he barked harshly. He was outraged by Kiyomi's attempt to bait the hollows, and confused. Why was she doing this!? Had she REALLY lost her mind?

| Concentrating on forming the reiryoku signature to attract the hollows, Kiyomi had completely neglected to sense Rakeshisu as he approached, not knowing he was there until he suddenly grabbed her shoulder and turned her around. Kiyomi's teal eyes merely widened as Rake yelled at her. He was the last person she wanted to see right now. What must he think of her? After everything they'd been through, she was doing exactly what had caused them both such pain a mere few months back. Her gaze moved to the concrete of the flat building roof beneath her feet, but she remained silent. | |

| The shinigami released Kiyomi's shoulder as she remained silent and merely stared. He did not know whether to be concerned for his friend's condition of mind, hurt that she almost went through with this, or enraged that she nearly endangered innocent lives. If he had known her secret about the group then he just would have been flat out angry, but at who he would not know which to be angry with.
Rake remained silent as well, still expecting an answer. He realized that he was going to get none after a full minute, "What were you doing," he asked, even though he knew exactly that they BOTH knew exactly what Kiyomi had been doing. He asked not why, because he was still hooked on hoping that she did not know what she was doing. He hoped that she had simply forgotten and thought it was part of the mission, though the voice in the back of his mind told him he was fooling himself.

| Kiyomi's gaze didn't move from the ground beneath her feet for a full minute, until Rakeshisu spoke again. She remained silent, not answering his question; however her teal gaze slowly shifted it's attention from the concrete to her friend's green eyes, an almost desperate look within them. She didn't need him making this harder than it already was. After a few short moments of eye contact, Kiyomi quickly turned and attempted to flee, using multiple shunpoes to cross a large distance in a shorter amount of time. | |

| Rake followed with his own Shunpo, being faster than he normally would with his new-found "motivation" and cut off Kiyomi at a familiar looking park with a ridiculously large wall that led to traffic on the other side. There were no other groups around this area, mostly because this area was where two certain shinigami had died. Rake ignored the significance of the location and stood in front of Kiyomi as she darted towards him, hoping she'd stop. If she tried to go around him he could easily side step and outrun her again, if she jumped he could also just reach up and grab her leg. | |

| Kiyomi was cut off by Rakeshisu as she attempted to run, the significance of the area lost on her as her mind was preoccupied with other things. However, she knew that if she kept running, he'd just follow her. Her Asauchi replaced on her back, Kiyomi's mind went through various ways of trying to deter him. If he kept trying to stop her like this it wouldn't only be Raito that ended up hurt. As her thoughts rested on her brother once again, she felt the beginnings of tears beginning to glaze over her teal eyes. If she didn't stop Rake from following her somehow, he'd just end up hurt. Raito would just end up hurt. The people she most cared about would end up hurt, or worse because of her.
Desperate for him to just leave her alone, Kiyomi didn't change her direction as Rakeshisu blocked her path, instead she leaped up, using a very familiar form of Hakuda as she attempted to kick Rake square in the gut and knock him down onto the ground.

| The attack was easy to dodge, and Rake easily grabbed a hold of her and pinned her against the wall, though lightly as he did not want to harm her, "Kiyomi! What is wrong?" He finally figured that something was not right, and all hopes that she did not know what she was doing drained when she ran and tried to fight back. "Why did you just try to do that?" Rake asked before stopping himself from releasing a barrage of questions. He knew that just attacking her with questions would not help, so he tried a few at a time. | |

| As Rakeshisu dodged her attempted kick, he had grabbed a hold of her and pinned her against the nearby wall before she could compose herself to react any differently. Why couldn't he just leave things alone, leave her alone. She didn't want him involved in any of this and there was less chance of that happening if he would just stay away. Kiyomi could feel her sheathed Asauchi digging into her back, but she ignored it, her watery teal eyes instead focusing on Rakeshisu as she finally spoke. "Stop it," she said quietly, her voice quivering as the metaphorical barrier she had put up to shield herself from everything she'd been doing over the past few weeks finally cracked. He just kept asking questions. "Just LEAVE ME ALONE!" she continued, yelling the words with as much force as she could muster, which, in the state she was right now, was not entirely that much. As she yelled, the dam that had previously held back her tears shattered as she finally broke down and began to cry. Her voice quivered even with it's raised volume and she swung an arm at Rake as if trying to hit him with her balled fist would get him to suddenly dislike her enough to go away. | |

| Rake was struck by the unexpected blow, but attempted to ignore the pain. "Knock it off! Something isn't right and you and I both know it." He spoke. He was unsure of what to say that would help her calm down, so he merely sighed, feeling like an absolute jerk for pinning her. "If I let you go, are you going to run again?" he asked, not planning on letting her go if she was just going to run again. Rake decided to put aside finding out what was going on and trying to calm Kiyomi down. Even though it was obvious that it was bad, a bawling Kiyomi was not going to speak even if her life depended on it most likely, and he did not want to threaten her to make her speak. | |

| Kiyomi's vision was partially blurred through the moisture that was now freely falling from her teal eyes. Why did he even care? She had been avoiding him for the past few weeks on purpose; surely he'd realised that? "If I let you go, are you going to run again?" he had asked. Kiyomi hesitated before shaking her head silently. It was clear that even if she did he'd just keep chasing after her. Once he had let go, Kiyomi remained where she was, except she sat down against the wall, not caring that the sheath of her sword was digging into her spine. She sat for a short while with her knees tucked in, crying into her sleeves as she tried to get her emotions under control. "I'm s-sorry," she said eventually, her voice barely more than a mutter, being muffled by the sleeves of her academy uniform. "I'm sorry," she repeated quietly before finally looking up from her sleeves, her eyes red from her attempts to stop the flow of tears. | |

| He was surprised when girl seemingly broke down before him. He heard her whisper "I'm sorry" over and over again, and tried to figure out what to say. Should he say that it was okay? That would be a lie though, since things were obviously NOT okay. He saw her puffy red eyes looking up at him, seemingly begging for forgiveness, and he found himself saying, "Look, you didn't do it right? You didn't go through with it, you're fine!" He racked his brain on what else to say. He took a seat near Kiyomi so he didn't tower over her, also because he was a bit tired, "Look, whatever caused you to do that, you can tell me, you know?" | |

| Kiyomi sat against the wall, trying to stop the trembles that racked through her body. She listened to her friend's words before speaking again. "I'm sorry..." she whispered again, as if they were the only words her still quivering voice could muster. She paused for a few moments before continuing, "I just..." she trailed off before trying again, "I couldn't do anything." She finally managed to say something more than an apology, only to despair at herself and her own weaknesses. "Th-they were going to hurt him and I couldn't.. do... anything..." she sobbed. | |

| Rake resisted the urge to question Kiyomi and instead listened, she spoke of a "They" going to hurt "Them". The red haired shinigami began to suggest, "Do you want to go back to the school and talk about it there or wait here for a bit?" He resisted asking about the situation, since it was obvious that Kiyomi was in no condition to talk about it. He had begun to think that Kiyomi was being affected by the location as well as what she had been about to do, so he thought that maybe waiting or leaving the area might help her a bit. The two were lucky that they weren't spotted by a group yet, since the nosy students would want to know why the two were alone and why Kiyomi was crying. | |
