| "Well...I'm not one too knowledgeable in the field of items, but if I am identifying these objects correctly, they are a Stun Seed and a Shiny Box. I think you can tell yourself, which is which."
William continued to inspect the room, trying to decipher the runes hidden under dust, cobwebs and vines. As he did so, he was surprised to find a small, roughly square-shaped part of the room to be devoid of any larger vines, a sign, that this part was actually moveable. Since he lacked the ability to try and move it and the Delibird seemed to have other things to do, the Gastly floated through the wall on that square part, soon reaching an even more dust-covered room, with a pedestal in the middle. On that pedestal a single item was to be found, which William promptly took with himself. As he had done so, a small, clicking noise could be heard outside, followed by a variety of sharp, metallic noises. Then there was silence. The item in question was: - This dice is not existing.

| (Sorry, I just want to have some fun here.)
After William explained the items, Nicholas took a moment to examine them further. He stuffed the box into his treasure bag and looked a while longer at the seed, examining it closely. "Hey, William, how do you tell... William?" It just came to Nick's realization that William had disappeared somewhere. Then, suddenly, spikes shot up from the ground, just in front of the bird. They went past the top of Nick's head in height. This sudden event made the Delibird stumble back a ways. Then, another loud and metalic noise rang just behind the bird. He noticed several feathers were removed from his back, possibly leaving a bald spot, and a large portion of his tail was cut off. Luckily, Delibird tails have no nerves and grow back. Whatever made that noise also caused a gust of wind. Nicholas could normally withstand the gust, but his footing was unstable, and he fell foward. He almost fell into the spikes, but just before contact was made, the sharp metal withdrew back into the floor. Nick face planted into the ground once more. He was frozen in shock for a moment, but eventually, his head rose as he looked around. "W-w-wiiiiiiliaaaaaam!?" | |

| The Gastly calmly floated through the now open passage back into the main room. Behind him, about a dozen spears had apparently been shot from the walls, as they were sticking in the ground and walls of the small chamber. As the Gastly spotted the Delibird, he wasn't able to figure out, what had happened. Nick was just sitting on the ground, without any discernible reason to do so. "What are you doing? We can sit at the guild all day! Well...you can. Still, we need to get going. There might be Pokémon after us, so it's best to leave here as soon as possible again." Completely disregarding the spears, that still were stuck in the small chamber, William wondered, why those items had only been protected this shoddily. They could at least have installed some traps. | |

| "Bu-b-b-bu..." The bird made some hard to interpret wing motions. He wasn't as submissive as usual. Maybe what he had to say was important. Eventually, Nick fell silent and stood up. He followed the Gastly, walking around the spears carefully and with an uneasy look on his face. | |

| As William had absolutely no idea, what the bird was trying to tell him, he gave up on attempting to understand him. Since Nick seemed to be capable of moving, the Gastly simply moved through one of the corridors. Soon, they had reached a round chamber, from which six paths led deeper into the pyramid, all leading downwards. The seventh one, from which the dou enered the chamber, was the only one leading up again. In the middle of the room, there was a slight elevation, a ring of cut stone, filled with earth. What was it? A big flower pot? A grave? Or something else entirely? One thing William was certain of. The creators of this facility had questionable taste in architecture. | |

| Nick walked behind the Gastly, looking around to be sure nothing else was going to pop up and kill him. The two stopped at an intersection. In the middle was an area of dirt. Nick realized this as he felt the soil under his feet. The avian looked around the hall for a bit. After a moment, Nick pointed to the hall all the way to the right. "How about that one?" | |

| "Well...I cant find any differences between them, so I don't see a reason, why we shouldn't. I wonder, what that area in the middle is used for, but I don't think we should check it out. It's probably trapped more than most other things in here." William was wondering. That pyramid was a large one, but they had already descended this far into it and there didn't seem to be any signs of it suddenly stopping. Was this building larger on the inside? If yes, how and why? And who had the technology for it? | |

| The Delibird examined the soft soil for just a second. "Well, maybe they grew berries or something here. I mean. In a place this big, I think you could do some nice gardening if you knew how. I know most plants need a lotta sunlight, but I don't think they all do." Moments after stating his thoughts, Nick shrugged them away and walked down the path he suggested before, giving Will a chance to see the bald spot on his back and his short tail. Did Will notice? Well, you tell me. | |

| "I doubt it, though. There are few plants, that grow in dark, dry places and the structure of the room isn't suited for keeping humidity high. And with secret pathways like these, I doubt, that whoever it was, that built this, wouldn't know that..." As William followed the Delibird into the unknown, he didn't notice Nick's lack of feathers at all. Not really being a socially active Pokémon, he never had to notice those differences before. Silently, he moved through the dark hallway, feeling almost at home. It was a strange, dark, lonely place, with a lot of hidden things to watch out for. It was almost like William. | |

| The dark hall, in William's eyes, was a comfortable place that was much like himself. To Nicholas, on the other hand, it was very scary, especially after his earlier experience. It was also nothing like him. Nick held one and only one secret that could be considered dark. If you knew that secret, you wouldn't blame him for not telling you. In fact, the only reason he hides it is because he's afraid of how others would judge him if they found out. None the less, Nick is, by default, a creature of light, which makes one wonder why he and William get along as well as they do, even if the ball of gas still has no clue the avian had nearly met his doom moments ago. Nick continued to walk down the hall. His progress was slow due to caution. Unfortunately, he used just a little too little caution. Without even realizing it was in front of him, the bird ran into something. He didn't quite know what it was, but whatever it was, it was alive. - This dice is not existing.

| Having been lost in thought, William hadn't even realized, that something was wrong, until he inspected his surroundings again, only to find Nick missing. As he turned around, the Gastly saw two figures in the darkness, one of which probably being the Delibird. William must have floated through them without noticing it. In the barely illuminated hallway it was impossible to distinguish the two of them from this distance, though, so William hesitated, as he couldn't attack, before floating back on the path they had taken. What was that other being? | |

| As William approached the shadows, he would see that one of them was, in fact, Nicholas. The other Pokemon seemed to resemble a jingle bell. It might have even appeared cute if it weren't for the glint of malice in its eyes. Oh, and the fact that it wrapped its tether around Nick also doesn't help. Wait, what? William would be able to see that the bird was not only being held in place, but was also being choked, which was probably why he didn't call for help. To his credit, the bird was trying to escape, rather correctly or not. Nicholas was pulling on the fabric like arms, desperately trying to get himself free from the wild Pokemon's grasp. William better think of something soon. | |

| Now this was a problem. William knew, that he had to do something...and that quickly. But what? A Shadow Ball would endanger Nick as well...as would a Smog Attack. That meant, that it would have to be a Hypnosis or a Confuse Ray, both of which would possibly hit the Delibird too, but simply sleeping or being confused shouldn't be as dangerous as an actual attack. Figuring, that the Chimecho's tail-something might cover the enemy's eyes, the Gastly decided in favour of the Confuse Ray. Moments later, the distracting ball of light was on its way to the two shadows in front of him. Hopefully he had done the right thing... | |

| When the shadow ball came to the pair, it collided and vanished. Due to where it collided, it was still hard to tell who was hit, but it became more evident as the Chingling suddenly dropped Nicholas. The bird landed on his feet, but he was rather wobbly. Soon, he lost balance, but at least landed on his back this time around. He wasn't moving much, but he was still breathing. His wing was also on his neck, rubbing it softly. The Chingling let out a loud ringing noise as it turned to William. It's stare was just as menacing as it was with Nick. The bell charged at William with it's tail like thing ready to wrap around the ball. Of course, this didn't work well as the attack literally went through the Gastly, leaving the psychic confused. | |

| William was surprised at first, but that startled expression quickly changed into a devious smirk as he realized, that the enemy was directly in front of him, suffering from confusion and was fighting with a type disadvantage. Of course William couldn't handle Psychic attacks all too well, but it didn't seem as if the Chimecho would get the idea to actually utilize the ones it posessed, so the spectral sphere once again let his darkest emotions and thoughts flow into a gloomy sphere in front of him, which he launched directly at the Psychic type. | |
