| Tsukishiro watched the duel, noting Nate's use of the technique they'd just created to his advantage. Perhaps there was ways to use both of them, they just needed to know when to utilize them to their fullest. As she sat watching, she began trying to think up other combinations. Perhaps she could use her Quick Attack and combine it with Nate's Thundershock to create an almost Volt Tackle like move... Frowning however, she realise that the recoil would probably be quite severe because she didn't have a particular resistance to electrical attacks. | |

| While Nate had countered William's initial attack, the lightning had missed the Gastly, who now decided for a more creative approach. Remembering his pain, his suffering and torment once again, a blackish sphere formed, looking almost like the Gastly itself. However, William decided not to launch it, instead it was slowly drifting around the battlefield, glowing ominously. Trickery was a speciality of many Ghost types, so why shouldn't he put it to use? | |

| Huh...well that's interesting. And slightly problematic. Nate thought to himself as he looked between the two different floating balls of ghostly energy and trying to form a plan on how to take care of it. He didn't want to waste a lot of time thinking and leave the opportunity for another attack, and instead used a Thunderwave attack on the Shadow Ball, thinking it had been William. I'm sure there's some way to differentiate the two. Probably something obvious I'm just overlooking. I'll figure it out later. | |

| Shiro lay down by the river bank and watched as her two partners dueled. Perhaps a battle would have been better for creating strategies straight off. After all, William's Shadow Ball technique seemed to be working as Nate had just used Thunder Wave on the floating move rather than the Gastly himself. | |

| As the Thunderwave hit the Shadow Ball, the black mass exploded, black sparks flying through the air before dissolving in it. The remains kept floating in place, not moving at all as they slowly melted into a dark liquid ooze, that dripped down on the ground, covering a small area in a pool of liquid pain. The Gastly meanwhile, relieved, that Nate had fallen for the trick, had enough time to build up a large amount of gas, so William emitted a flood of Smog, which spread across the battlefield. While the Smog was supposed to distract Nate, William tried to float behind him as silently as possible, so he could catch him off guard by charging into him. | |

| Nate backed up a few steps as the Shadow Ball exploded, and could tell that it definitely(hopefully) wasn't William, since it had just blown up and melted into goop. Looking back to the other shape, he could see the actual William use another smog attack, sending the familiar purple gas out. Taking a breath, Nate began to hold his breath for a short time, looking around to try and find the Gastly. Sticking to the basics, Nate let out another Thundershock attack into the air, not clearing the smog around the rest of the battlefield but managing to disperse the gaseous substance in the air around him, giving him the chance to take another breath. | |

| Shiro watched the duel in silence, her red eyes tracing the movements of her teammates as they battled. At the moment it seemed William had the upper hand, his ghostly and poisonous attacks rather successful. | |

| While the Smog had dispersed around Nate, William, who was now floating at about 7 to 8 o'clock from the Pikachu's point of view, tried to charge into the Electric type, hoping, that he wouldn't expect the attack. If he did, William would have quite some trouble to get away again. In close combat, he wasn't that much of a fighter, but a Shadow Ball's glow might alert Nate. It all boiled down to one question: Would he see him or not? | |

| In the moment after clearing the smog closest to him, Nate looked in front of himself and quickly noted that William wasn't there. Alright, think for a second. He tricked me before, he's using tricks to get the upper hand. Which means... Deciding to take a chance, Nate quickly turned around and noticed the ghost type pokemon slightly behind himself. Trying to avoid the attack and use one himself, he stumbled backwards slightly and let out another thundershock attack, hoping that it hit at close range that they were to one another. | |

| Not only surprised in his surprise attack, but also floating in close range to his opponent, it would be very difficult if not downright impossible for William to dodge Nate's attack, so, to the bewilderment of none, the Thundershock hit the Gastly straight in the face. While the attack had caused severe damage, William knew, that something had to be done as he would lose the battle otherwise. Trying to keep as close to the Pikachu as possible, despite being quite litterally shocked, William focussed, stared deeply into Nate's eyes and utilized the poser of Hypnosis. Hopefully it would work. It had to work, because William was facing the problem of recieving another Thunderbolt to the face, should it fail. And he wasn't sure, whether he could take another one... | |

| Nate stumbled back a step in surprise as the Gastly appeared right in front of him and stared into his eyes. What...what is he even doing? The Pikachu started to think at first, preparing to use another Thundershock before finding himself becoming a bit dreary. Wait a minute...oh. So that's what he did. He thought to himself, feeling his eyes become heavier and starting to blink shut. "Oh...clever." He muttered, before collapsing on the ground, falling asleep due to the Hypnosis attack. | |

| Shiro blinked as William sent Nate to sleep with his Hypnosis move. "Nice one!" she grinned cheerfully, noting the usefulness of the move for future reference. She figured that she should probably try and wake her teammate up though and wandered over, poking him with a paw. | |

| The Thundershock had severely damaged William, so he didn't even register his victory at first. Instead he simply floated in one place, bobbing up and down unsteadily while breathing heavily. Had he not managed to successfully maintain eye contact, the Gastly would have most likely fainted right with the next attack. Only slowly reality managed to seep into the gaseous Pokémon's brain. "I-is it...over? *gasp* I don't even know, what happened anymore..." The Ghost type was ready to collapse at any second as well and it was clearly visible. Even though he didn't know, when to be quiet, Nate was a formidable foe. William had to admit that much. | |

| Nate groggily blinked his eyes open, yawning and moving himself to a standing position, looking at his two teammates and taking some deep breaths from the combination of having woken up and being tired from the battle. "Huh? What'd I miss?" The Pikachu asked, before quickly remembering what they had been doing and where they were. "Oh, that's right. Remind me to go to you if I need any help sleeping." He joked, smirking a bit at William. "So, I suppose that's that for now. I'm not exactly in any shape for another training battle, not sure about you Will. Mind if I call you that? Anyways, good job." He said in one breath, stopping at the end and taking the moment to breathe in. | |
