Cooked Dratini Anyone?

First topic message reminder :

A snake like creature slithered about the Fiery Chasm in excitement, this was not the first, but the SECOND time he had gone on an adventure with his friend! The Dratini looked back to see his new team mate stepping carefully over the lava streams and trying his best not to burn himself, "Stop being so scared, we'll be fine Acro!"
"How do you know? We're surrounded by lava, what if we fall into a stream of it? or a river?" the archen responded, a bit fearful as his tail nearly touched the stream. Well at least there isn't any water down here... he tried to think positively.
"Calm down, if we run into trouble we can always call for help of another rescue team!" the dratini cried happily.
"It's not as easy as that..." The Archen mumbled as they continued to explore the chasm.

"I...the...he..."
William had simply given up on trying to understand the blue worm.
As much as he would love to do so, he couldn't leave him to his fate, however.
"I guess we have to...", the Gastly groaned as he floated through the series of tunnels that were going through the volcano.
He hadn't found any valuable items, but he found a major annoyance and was close to losing his mind.
What a wonderful day it had been up to now...

"Astrid is really Naive..." Acro said before darting after Astrid. He was quite fast, but kept pace with William. He stopped when he heard a unhappy rumbling sound, "What was that?" he asked, unsure if William hadn't noticed that Acro had stopped and kept going. He looked into a darker tunnel, the source of the rumbling came from there and seemed to be growing closer. Acro was frozen as a pair of eyes appeared in the darkness and seemed to glare at him.

Astrid sniffed as he came to a stop, getting over his tiny fit. He looked up to see a large wall before him. He was amazed at the large wall, which was actually a dead end, he noticed a strange band at the top towards the ceiling, and decided to make his way towards it. He wrapped himself around ledges on the wall and slowly made his way up to find a Zinc Band.

Upon hearing the rumbling, William turned around to find Acro having stopped, a large Rampardos charging straight at him! Deciding, that Acro was more important than Astrid and that Astrid would have a type advantage over most things here anyways, he concluded to fight the Rampardos and hope, that Astrid wouldn't get into too much trouble, as him getting into trouble was an obvious inevitability.
As William knew, that those Pokémon were both fast and strong, he decided to try and slow it down first.
Floating up to its face, he extended his long tongue and licked straight over the wild Rock type's face.
The Rampardos, obviously not having expected that, shuddered in disgust. It seemed to have been paralyzed.
"What have you gotten yourself into...", William muttered, unsure whether he was talking to himself or Acro.

Acro finally snapped out of his own paralysis of fear. He put on a determined front and his tail waved as it glowed to a bright white color as it harden and turned hard as iron. He leaped into the air and twirled to have his tail smack the Rampardos across the face. He then tossed his only iron thorn at the rampaging pokemon.

Astrid grabbed the Zinc Band, wondering what it did. She screamed in fear when the ledge she was on began to crack under her weight and she began to fall towards the ground. She screamed as she fell and hoped to Arceus she would survive. She grew closer to the ground, and landed on a red lizard like pokemon. The pokemon yelled in annoyance as a dratini fell on it's head, which suddenly began to thank the charmander and wrap around its neck in a hug.

While they were fighting the Rampardos, William heard a scream.
Of course Astrid just had to get himself into trouble. While he quickly darted off into that direction, he shot a Smog attack at the Rampardos. After a short journey through various caves, he had finally found the Dratini, strangling a Charmander. William was so shocked, that the couldn't do anything but stare wide-eyed at the scene. He didn't even react to the item directly in front of him at first, namely a:

TM Fire Blast!

The chamander choked as the dratini lovingly hugged him for saving him. The charmander shot a crazed  ember somehow as it scratched at the Dratini's body, that was being protected by the Zinc Band in some spots. Astrid released his captive when he realized he was being scratched, "OW! You meanie!" he sprung himself off and landed on the TM, not realizing it was a TM, he reared his head back, meaning to use water pulse, but instead a symbol appeared in front of him, the symbol burned as it shot towards the Charmander that was leaping at Astrid. It hit the charmander head on and slammed it into a wall. The charmander screamed in pain and fell to the ground, knocked out.

Acro screeched as he was headbutted into a wall. He managed to climb on top of the rampardos and  began to consecutively slam his Iron Tail into the rock pokemon's back. The rampardos screeched and began to run around in attempt to throw the Archen off.

Most certainly not having expected the Fire Blast, William tried to get Astrid back to Acro as soon as possible. With his patience at its end, he commanded:
"You. Come. Now. We have to help Acro. He is in danger. Don't run off again."
While he knew, that Astrid wasn't going to listen, he could now say, that he had at least tried.

"Huh? Acro?" Astrid asked, "He's in danger? Then what are we waiting around here for Willy? Let's go help him! With Water Pul-" The dratini was interrupted by an enraged roar as the floor shook and a rampardos with an Archen riding on it's back. Astrid moved out of the way to avoid being trampled and watched at the pokemon rammed itself into the wall and created a giant crater the size of the pokemon's head. The pokemon thrashed about some more and finally sent Acro flying off of its back and through William to the ground.

Acro screeched as his back slammed against the floor and lay there, unable to get up for he was still a bit dizzy from the impact.

"Uh...that problem has just solved itself, I guess...could you pleasepleaseplease take out that darn Rampardos?"
Due to being rather surprised, the words were simply flowing out of William's mouth without even having a chance to pass by his brain. As he regained his composure however, he floated down to the Archen and asked:
"Are you okay? You don't look too good. We really need to find that TM soon, it's dangerous here..."
The more time they spent here, the more William began to dislike the place. It was hot. It was dangerous. It was filled with Pokémon. They hadn't found any useful items and to top it all off, Astrid was here.

Astrid smiled at William being polite in asking her, and sent a water pulse at the Rampardos the lagre pokemon was hit by the attack. It shook itself around in anger and smashed it's head into the wall again. It finally steadied itself and began to charge right towards it's attacker. Though the water type move was effective, the dratini was still only level six. The rampardos charged towards the dratini, who moved out of the way just in time. The rampardos's skull began to glow a bright blue as it continued towards William, using Zen Headbutt.

[Acro is still a bit dazed and out of action so I wont post for him here]

"So you are not okay...not good...", William mumbled as he was unexpectedly hit by the Zen Headbutt and propelled several feet into a wall. Due to his typing, the attack had dealt a major amount of damage. Damage that couldn't be allowed to continue.
Using his darkest, vilest and meanest thoughts, the Gastly used Spite. The Rampardos now seemed to be visibly distressed, attempting to use another Zen Headbutt, but the blue light on its skull quickly fizzled into nothingness again, its mind too occupied with the dark thoughts to remember how to do the attack.

Astrid grew angry with the rampardos for harming his friend. While the pokemon was distracted with the spite attack, he wrapped himself around the rampardos's legs and tightened his coil so the rampardos would struggle to free itself and fall. The rampardos screamed and toppled over, vulnerable to attacks.

Acro meanwhile, had gotten the strength to get up. His tail turned to iron once more and he slammed his tail into the Rampardos's cranium once more, dealing a critical blow before falling over again. He was still dizzy and slightly confused on which way was up and which was down.

William was a bit exhausted already, but nevertheless, he still managed to hit the Rampardos with a Lick attack. As the Rampardos didn't seem to be moving anymore, it had apparently been knocked out, the threat had been eliminated. For now.
William slowly floated down to the Archen again, trying to talk to him once more:
"Hey, how are you? Can you stand?"

Acro moaned in replied, "Yeah...i'll be fine if I just rest a bit..." Acro spoke. He sat himself up and was immediately tackled back down by a crying Dratini.
"I'm so sorry! I'msorryI'msorryI'msorryyyyy" The dratini cried as he hugged the Archen, accidentally using Wrap attack once more.
"Astrid...my...ribs...you're crushing them!" Acro squeaked as he was under the Dratini's grip. The dratini released him once more with a final apology and began to bawl some more.
"It's just that...I didn't want to fight...and I didn't realize..." The dratini tried to speak but kept getting interrupted by sniffles.

"It's about time that thing did something right...", William muttered to himself.
Relieved, that the competent one seemed to be allright...well, as allright as possible under the circumstances, he completely ignored Astrid's bawling.
"I don't think we should stay here much longer. It's far too dangerous, especially with you in this condition..."
