Joy to the Insane

Stryke was confused. The voices had told him to come here, but he didn't understand why. He decided to look around the area, as he was getting bored of just standing there. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something that caught his attention. Is that a cave over there? he thought to himself. Deciding to investigate, he went over and entered it.

Looking back and seeing Kira holding onto his leg tightly, Stryke continued to sprint towards the stairs as fast as his legs could carry him. Come on, just a little bit farther. I just need to get up those stairs! A few seconds later, Stryke felt his foot touch the metal of the steps. With one last burst of speed, he dove up the staircase, landing on the next floor, Kira with him. Stryke got up and looked around, noticing the lack of wind, then turned to face Kira. "Hey Kira, you alright?"

Kira freed herself from being pinned by Stryke's leg, she laughed out of giddiness from the adrenaline rush she had., "Fine! Just fine! Hoohoohoooo! Never been better!" She had to admit, she was terrified. She didn't know what would happen after being whisked away by the winds. She took a deep breath and calmed down, she examined the floor they were in, it was monstrously big and suspicious, she was getting a bad feeling about this place. She voiced her concerns to Stryke, and waited for a reply as goosebumps rippled in her skin.

"I don't really like the feel of this place either." Stryke looked down at his arm. "Oh crap, I lost my Gold Ribbon on the previous floor. Well, there goes a source of easy Poke." As he looked around the room, he noticed a few things glistening in the dark. Those are items, you should pick them up Stryke. One of them said. Another one started speaking. This is too suspicious, it's probably a trap. "That's way to many items for a room to have. I wonder..." Before he could finish, multiple Pokemon dropped into the room, ready to attack them. "Monster House!"

Kira looked at the ceiling in surprise, to find a pokemon coming and landing right on her head. She cried out and pushed it off before fleeing back close to Stryke. She swallowed as the figures loomed in front of her in the shadows. She spoke, "Well, this is...unexpected." She looked to Stryke, "So...do we run or stay?"

Stryke looked at the Pokemon who had dropped into the room. Two Spearows, two Poochyena, two Archen, an Absol, a Sneasel, and an Aerodactyl. As they began to approach, he also spotted the items that were lying around. An Escape Orb, a Reviver Seed, and a Sleep Seed. There's no way you two losers can take out all of them. You couldn't even handle an Aerodactyl by itself. One of the more obnoxious ones laughed. Shut up, we can get out of this fine. I hope. "Kira, I don't think we can take them all on but, I think I have a plan to get us out of this. You see that Escape Orb?' Stryke pointed his scythe towards a corner of the room."If we can get to it, then we can use it to get out of the dungeon. The only ones in our way are the Sneasel and a Poochyena. We can probably knock them out together easily, then make a run for the orb. Sound good to you Kira?"

"Y-Yeah!" she whimpered, the pokemon were all menacing and did NOT look too happy to see them there. She could tell that they would be over powered easily, she swallowed and said, "So do we just run towards it and attack the two? I could probably get the sneasel in one hit with Blaze Kick..." she suggested as she saw the pokemon begin to advance, she took a step back in intimidation. It was too crowded in here, and quite frankly it was a bit annoying to her. She glared a bit back at them, trying not to let the fear show in her eyes. She constantly checked the auras in case more pokemon were hiding somewhere. How could she have been so stupid? She should have checked before they even walked into the room.

"Right, you go for the Sneasel, I'll go for the Poochyena with Vacuum Wave. On three. One. Two. Three!" Stryke lunged at the Poochyena, hitting it in the face with Vacuum Wave and sending it flying into the Absol. He dodged around the Sneasel, then used Quick Attack to get up to the Escape Orb, stopping next to it as the Pokemon continued to close in. Stryke saw Kira attacking the Sneasel, then yelled out to her. "Kira! I'm at the Orb! Get over here quickly so we can get out!" Hopefully she can knock that Sneasel out quickly so that we don't have to deal with the others.

Kira was successful, partially. She had used her quick attack to run ahead of the scyther and used Blaze kick, hitting it square in the face and sending it into the areodactyl. "SEE YA SUCKERS!" she couldn't help but shout. She had used the Sneasel's face as a launcher and landed next to the scyther, "GOGOGOGOOGOO!" she exclaimed. The pokemon were ticked at her impulsive insult and were now rushing towards the two. She touched the orb and waited for the scyther to activate it.

"Really Kira? Angering already mad Pokemon? Oh well, it's not like we have to deal with them." Stryke activated the Orb, engulfing both Kira and him in a bright flash of light, the feral Pokemon lunging at them, as they were teleported out of the dungeon. Stryke remained disoriented for a few minutes, until his vision cleared up and he looked around. The two of them were standing outside the cave entrance, where they had both entered the mountain earlier. "Well, that was fun, but remind me to never enter a Monster House again. We may not be as lucky next time."

"I couldn't help it!" Kira defended herself with a shrug. Once they were ported to the entrance she frowned, "I should have been able to tell though, my aura senses could've picked them up if i had been paying attention..." she sighed and tried to cheer up, "Well, it was fun. Thanks for saving my tail." she looked at her joy ribbon and said, "Here, you have this. It's my thank you for saving my life!" she said happily. She held out the ribbon to the scyther.

"Wow." Stryke was really surprised by Kira's gesture of thanks. The Joy Ribbon was her entire reason for coming to Blackmist Mountain and she was giving it to him. "Thanks Kira. Do you think you could tie it for me? You know, because of the scythes."
(Ugh, Writer's block, sorry it's so short.)

Kira nodded and hopped onto the scyther's shoulders. She tied the joy ribbon around his neck, making sure it wasn't too tight. She hopped back down with a, "There you go!" She looked up at the scyther and smiled, "Next time i'll be sure to check for other presences. If I was a Lucario I would've been able to tell where nearly everything is. As I am now though...it's a bit difficult..."

"Well, this has been fun. Thanks for such a great time and the Joy Ribbon, Kira. Uh...I guess I'll see you around town sometime." Stryke said somewhat awkwardly, not knowing how to end the conversation. He waved one last time and began walking back in the direction of Grassveil. Idiot, you should have asked her. That is what you wanted, isn't it? I know, I know. I'm positive I'll see her in Grassveil sometime soon, so I'll ask her then. Wimp. Shut up!

Kira was a bit disappointed to see Stryke go...she wondered if she'd see him around in Grassviel or maybe somewhere again. "See ya Around in Grassviel or something!" she called before darting off in another direction, towards the deserts. She wanted to check out the volcano there for a special item that was said to be there. She debated going back again, maybe she would meet strike once more. She never knew how right she had been.

Stryke was still walking, thinking about what to do when he returned to Grassveil. Maybe I should visit Keyami or Enzu. I haven't seen them in a while. On second thought, I think I'll go for a stroll through Shadowhue Forest. I need to calm myself down after today's excitement. But first... Stryke stopped walking and sat down, watching the sun go down below the horizon, painting the sky pink and orange.
