Gangs of Insane Pokemon!

Lumina padded through the short grasses on the edge of Pecha Forest. The influx of darkness had affected the once-peaceful area. It seemed that pokemon were getting more and more dangerous as time passed. She was doing two missions for the guild this day; one a plea for help from a piplup, who seemed to have been mobbed by insane pokemon, and another from a pancham, whose friend had joined a gang!

She looked over her shoulder at said pancham; the client had insisted on coming with her to confront his old friend. She had warned the pancham that she was on another mission, and to hang back and hide if she ran into the insane pokemon before his "friend's" gang.

"Be careful," she warned the pancham seriously. "We're entering the dungeon proper. Things are going to get dangerous, quickly."

The pancham nodded. "Right ya are, Miss Lumina. I reckon mah buddy is in th' middle of th' forest. Tha's where the gang attacked us i'fore."

Missions Taken:

It had been a crazy morning for a young blitzle today. Exhausted the equine took a seat underneath a pecha tree, ready to take a break from ferals and such. No aipom is going to bother me here, still a bit cloudy though. Oh well, this is a perfect time to look for pecha berries, after I rest. Yawning, he was about to fall asleep.

That was until, Bolt heard some voices not that far away. Should I go check out who's there, or just sleep on it? I guess I'll go check it out. Trotting towards the voices of two Pokemon, until that came in sight. It was a Ninetales and Pancham, of course he didn't know that. He decided to walk a little closer, when he decided that he was finally close enough he stopped. "Hi, what are you doing out in the forest?"

Lumina's ears twitched as she heard the rustling of grass. Her head turned toward the sound, her ruby-red eyes narrowing as a pokemon emerged from the forest proper. It was a horse-like pokemon with a black pelt, crisscrossed by white stripes. A blitzle; a pokemon Lumina had only ever read about, never seen before with her own eyes. Her ears flattened against her head as she stepped in front of the pancham protectively, her tails flaring out in warning.

The blitzle greeted the pair calmly, asking them what they were doing in the forest. Lumina peered at the electric horse pokemon suspiciously. He didn't seem to be a foe, but it was always good to be safe, especially when on a mission after outlaws.

"I am Lumina, of Team Polaris," Lumina introduced herself, her front paw rising to touch her chest. "This is my client, Pancham. We're on a mission in the Pecha Forest. As long as you do not mean to stop us from entering the forest, there will be no need for trouble," she said seriously.

As the vulpine stared at Bolt suspiciously, the equine was feeling a bit uncomfortable. When she introduced herself he immediately answered back, "my name is Bolt, nice to meet you Lumina," he neighed politely to the Ninetales. "What species are you? I've never seen or heard of something like you."

The zebra looked to the Pancham when she said this was her client, it was a black and white bear with a leaf in his mouth. "Nice to meet you too, Pancham. And of course I won't stop you from entering this forest."

Wondering about this... Mission, he asked about it. "Hey, could you tell me more about this mission and where you got it from? Are you from a guild or something, I've heard of those and was thinking about joining one."

Lumina gave a nod as the blitzle introduced himself. She raised her nine tails and spread them out in a fan over her head. "I'm a ninetales, as evidenced by the nine tails," she said. "I evolved from a vulpix, perhaps you've heard of them?"

The pancham waved at the blitzle, having wandered around from behind Lumina. "A pleasure, Ahm sure." The pancham drawled amicably.

Lumina turned her head to the side at the blitzle's questions regarding her mission. "Well, I'm actually doing two missions today. One involves talking some sense into Pancham's 'friend', who has apparently joined a gang. The other mission is to save a piplup from a group of crazed feral pokemon. They were both posted jobs at the Grassveil Guild, of which I am a member of. I am the leader and sole member of Team Polaris." she said proudly.

"Two missions? That's a lot to handle, but I think you can do it," Bolt neighed honestly to the Ninetales. "Mind if I'd join you? I want to see a guild member in action, I'm thinking of joining a guild but I have no idea where one is. And if you need help I can, anyways you could always use a hand when fighting off a group of feral Pokemon, right?"

Waiting for a reply the blitzle took a look around. It was a cloudy day, although the sun appeared through some cracks. Lumina and Bolt were standing in a clearing of the forest, pecha trees lined it along with a couple of bushes. A sole Oran Berry tree stood at the edge of the meadow.

Lumina grinned cockily. "Of course I can do it," she said confidently. "I am fully evolved, after all. If I couldn't do a few measly missions in Pecha Forest of all places, well. I'd be a pretty sorry excuse for a ninetales, let alone an exploration team."

She looked out over the forest, then looked back at the blitzle. She was hesitant on bringing a civilian along with her on a mission, especially when she already had another -her client- to look out for. "You can come, I suppose..." she said slowly. "But be ready to defend yourself. I'll have enough on my paws fighting the feral pokemon and protecting my client. I can't be baby-sitting you as well."

When Lumina said he could come he danced with excitement on the inside. Yes! Now I can see what is like to be an explorer, this day has been an active one alright. Also adding that he needs to defend himself he smoothly replied, "I've been on a journey for a while now. Think I can be ready to defend myself and the Pancham, if needed of course."

Remembering looking out for his sister, he almost cried. But, he pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind, like every other time. This time though, not before a tear drop fell and soaked into the ground. Shaking his head he forced himself to stop thinking about his sister, and waited to leave with Lumina.

Lumina nodded at Bolt. "Very well. Keep an eye out, then. The gang we're looking for is a gang of monkey pokemon -a panpour, pansear, and pansage. They will be joined by another pancham."

The client pancham cleared his throat. "The name's Russ. Mah buddy's name is Lyle," he drawled. "I'd watch out for that panpour. 'E's got a nasty scald attack."

Lumina dipped her head at the pancham. "Duly noted. Now, let's head on into the forest. I don't want to be stuck here when night falls, and it's already almost noon-high."

She led the way into the forest, keeping her senses alert for any feral pokemon that might leap out at them. She scanned the undergrowth ahead of them as she picked her way through the thickly-grown tree roots that covered the forest floor.

Reciting in his mind a Panpour, Pansage, Pansear in his mind over and over until he thought he had memorized it. "Ok, got it I'll keep an eye out for any of those Pokemon," he thought he would know if it was one of those monkeys, at least he hoped. Keeping an eye out for any monkeys... or pandas, he scanned the premises.

The Pancham told him to watch out for the Panpour, as, apparently it had a nasty attack, called scald. If he remembered correctly it was a devastating attack which shot steaming hot water at the opponent. [i]That would be very VERY nasty if I got hit by that, better keep an eye out.

With Lumina leading the way into the forest, Russ in the middle, Bolt was bringing up the rear. Alert for any nearby Pokemon, his double kick was ready to go. Making his way through undergrowth such as brambles and bushes, he got scratched here and there, but that wasn't about to stop him.

Lumina kept her stride steady as she continued leading their little group through the forest. She hadn't seen any feral pokemon yet, but far from easing her worries, the longer Lumina went without spotting a single sign of another pokemon, the more anxious and wary she got. It didn't seem right that they would travel so far within the boundaries of the forest without running into some sort of feral pokemon. It was like the entire forest was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen, and she did not like it one bit.

It wasn't long until they reached the center of the forest, after all, Pecha Forest was a rather small dungeon. She sniffed the air as the trio entered a large clearing. The scent of berries was in the air, laced with a strange, musky scent that she didn't recognize. Lumina's eyes darted around the clearing, landing on a pile of cloth bags tucked up against a large tree in the center of the clearing.

Her eyes narrowed, and she waved her tails warningly to get her companions' attentions. "I think we may have found the gang's hideout," she said quietly, nodding to the pile of bags.

11 - 44 = 0 energy

Walking through the forest with Lumina and the Pancham was quieter than expected. Bolt had expected a feral to jump out by now, but there was no sign of any Pokemon whatsoever, it was quite unnerving. As if the forest was waiting for the right time to strike. Because of this the zebra was ready and on his feet, able to attack if anything happened.

As he was walking an Oran Berry dropped on him as it fell from a tree. Ouch! What is up with things falling on me today? Remembering earlier in the day when the same thing happened. Oh well, at least it might help later on in the day he sighed to himself. Picking up the Oran Berry, Bolt swiftly dropped it into his bag.

Catching up to the duo, the electric type was silent as long with the others. That was, until they came to a large clearing. Looking around he surveyed the area. One could see a large tree in the middle with a couple of cloth bags stacked onto each other.

That was about when Lumina announced that they might of found the gangs hideout. Ready and on his feet, the zebra waited for Lumina to decide, she was the one that took this mission after all. Although, if things took a wrong turn he had some ideas....

Lumina's ears perked up as she heard rustling coming from the other side of the clearing. She motioned for her companions to hide as she darted into the shadow created by a large bush and thick tree growing close together. The pancham followed her, blending easily into the shadows with his black fur.

The rustling grew louder, and the sound of voices carried across the clearing. The bushes moved, and four pokemon emerged from the darkness: a panpour, pansear, pansage, and pancham. The gang they had been looking for! Lumina glanced over at her client, whose eyes narrowed upon the other pancham.

"Are you ready to confront them?" She whispered to her client, who looked uncertain.

The pancham bit his lip before shaking his head. "Not yet... I... I wanna wait a little bit first."

Lumina dipped her head. "Very well." She returned her attention to the gang.

The other pancham was bogged down by several large bags, which he struggled across the clearing to dump them onto the pile already there. One of the monkey pokemon stuck out a foot as he was crossing the clearing and caused the poor bear to topple over, sending the bags to the ground and several items to spill out onto the forest floor.

"HEY, numbskull! Watch what you're doing!" the panpour shrieked at the pancham. "You're going to ruin our hard-earned loot!" He whacked the pancham around the head as the bear pokemon struggled to his feet, causing the pokemon to lose his balance and fall over once more.

The panpour turned away from the pokemon, crossing over to the pile of bags and starting to rummage through them. The pancham picked himself up again, a scowl on his face. He mumbled something that Lumina couldn't hear. The pansage, who'd been snickering at the scene, glared at the pancham. "What was that, jailbait? I couldn't hear you," he sneered.

The pancham clenched his jaw before shouting at the pansage, "I said; I'm not your punching bag!!!"

The pansage drew itself up and slapped the dark-grass type across the face, sending the pancham sprawling. "Excuse me? Perhaps you misunderstood your situation, jailbait! You owe our employers, and until you pay off your debt, you're ours to do with as we please!"

"Ok, I've seen enough. It's like I suspected; Lyle is being blackmailed into their service... He must have been forced to set me up." Lumina's client said quietly to her.

Lumina nodded; that matched what seemed to be going on here. "We'll set them straight," she promised her client before stepping out of the shade and into view.

Hearing rustling coming from the other side of the clearing, Bolt quickly found a place to hide between two bushes. Ducking down he found that he could hear what was going on. Deciding not to come out until he understood more of the situation.

4 pokemon emerged from the bushes, one was a Pancham, he knew that for sure. Guessing the others were Pansear, Pansage, and Panpour he wondered which one was which. The red one with flame like tuft must be Pansear. Panpour is probably the bule one, and Pansage the green one.

A Pancham, which Bolt presumed that it was Russ's friend, Lyle, was trudging across the clearing carrying some bags. One of the elemental monkeys, Panpour stuck out a foot, making the poor Pancham trip and fall. Angry the blitzle almost ran up and attacked the Panpour, but stopped himself knowing it wouldn't lead to any good.

With the Pancham mumbling something, the Pansage ordered him to speak up. He yelled at them that he wasn't a punching bag. With the Pansage saying that he was theirs until he payed off his det to thier boss. The Pancham kept qiuet after that.


Seeing Lumina stepping out of the shadows he did the same thing too. Also stomping "Stop picking on Lyle."

Lumina's right ear twitched as she heard the blitzle step up next to her and demand that the gang pokemon leave Lyle alone. She almost rolled her eyes -like just telling them off was going to make these outlaws do a one-eighty.

The monkey pokemon turned towards them, scowls donning their faces. "Excuse me, but who are you, to be telling me what to do? This ain't none of your business, so buzz off!" the panpour, who seemed to be the leader, snapped.

Lumina glared at the outlaws, whipping her tails around to flare out threateningly. "Hmmm. That would be where you are wrong. This is our business; seeing as how you mugged my client not five days ago, in this very forest! I am Lumina, of Team Polaris, and I'm here to see justice done!"

The panpour sneered at her. "Heh, you think you can bring us to justice? We'll wipe the floor with you, and take your stuff, too!" He made a strange motion with his hand, and the two other monkey pokemon stepped up beside him, cracking their knuckles threateningly. The pancham, Lyle, stepped out from behind the monkey pokemon, looking reluctant as he took up a fighting stance as well.

Lumina let a small smile twitch across her face. "So that's how you want to play?" She asked quietly. "If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!"

With that, she leapt into action, spreading her legs to brace herself and drew upon her inner ember. She breathed in deeply before letting loose a huge stream of fire from her gaping maw, letting it loose in a long line that struck all three of the monkey pokemon. She made sure to stop her attack before it reached the pancham, not wanting to hurt the unfortunate pokemon.

The panpour growled as the fire struck him, but he shrugged it off and sent a wave of scalding water towards her. Lumina dodged to the side, narrowly missing contact with the steaming water.

Behind the fighting pokemon, her client pancham was crossing the clearing to his friend Lyle, who was clearly reluctant to join the fight. But when Lyle saw his friend, he scowled and got into a defensive position.

"Lyle!" Russ exclaimed, hurt. "I don't want to fight you! Why didn't you just tell me what was going on? I would have helped you through anything; you know this!"

Lyle's scowl fell for a moment, a crushed look on his face for a split second before it went back to its scowl. "It's not any of your business!" he growled, taking a swing at his friend. Russ dodged the punch.

"It became my business when you set me up to be robbed!" Russ said, getting angry now, and throwing a punch of his own.

Lyle froze in surprise, causing Russ' punch to hit him square in the jaw, sending the male sprawling. He looked up at Russ, a hurt expression on his face. "I can't believe you think I would actually set you up to be robbed!" he exclaimed. "I didn't even know they had set up camp in Pecha! The last I knew, they were still in Shadowhue Forest! When they mobbed us that day, I was just as surprised as you! But I knew that if I sided with you against them; they'd tell their boss, and I'd be in big trouble..." He had the grace to look ashamed of his actions.
