Rescuing the Lost Deerling

Tsukishiro followed her sister as she lead the way into the Obsidian Crevasse. This place was rumoured to be bottomless, a fact that put off a lot of explorers, though sometimes Flying types came to investigate.

The younger Absol glanced around, trying to identify the areas where she had seen the Deerling being chased, but she guessed that they would most likely be further along the Crevasse.

"Dirty Dragon!" Izumi roared. She charged forward and prepared her Megahorn once more, this time as strong as it had ever been. She ran like a bullet and pressed everything she could out of every muscle in her body. She wanted to finish this. Now. Tha Gabite was still busy with his attack and only vaguely saw her charging from behind.

Tsukishiro just managed to drag herself out of the way of the Gabite. Izumi's attack then hit the Gabite full on. The battle was over. There was no way the Gabite would win after that move. Tsukishiro got back up onto her feet and shook her pelt. She glanced back at the gabite, lay on the ground, unconcious.
"What a rotten Pokemon," she commented.

"No kidding. That poor Deerling...." Izumi sighed sadly, although she perked right back up. "This makes me want to get to the Rift even more!" she exclaimed, looking at her younger sister and then Elora.

"In that case, we're almost there! We just have to climb down the cliff face there and then you guys can jump in!" Elora exclaimed from her most recent perch, which she immediately jumped off of.

Tsukishiro nodded, "Awesome!"
She took one last glance back at the Gabite before nodding to Izumi to lead the way forwards... well technically she would be following Elora but what the heck.

Ixumi's nose once again began twitching like a Bug Pokemon that had been zapped with electricity as they began their decent into the final portion of Obsidian Crevasse. "I smell something around here..." Izumi frowned slightly, only more because she couldn't locate the source of the smell.

Tsukishiro continued to wander along behind Izumi. She wasn't particularly paying attention to anything, when something shiny caught her eye. She paused and doubled back to see what it was, only to find a box similar to the one they had gotten from the mountain's peak. Tilting her head to the side she wondered what could be in it.
"Hey Izumi. Look at this..."

"A box? What in Arceus's name is a box doing sitting around in Obsidian Crevasse... And what is that odd smell coming from it... Sorta like the one we got at the peak, only different..." Izumi frowned again, trying to figure it out in her head.

"Those boxes can be found quite frequently in dungeons. I've explored a few in my day so I would know." Elora laughed as she watched the Absol sisters examine the shiny box. "Theyre rumored to hold exclusive items that benefit Pokemon in different ways... But you need an appraisalist to open it for you." she explained.

"Exclusive items, huh..." Izumi mused under her breath, intrigued by this new information.

Tsukishiro blinked at the new information. She looked at the box then back at Elora.
"Surely they can't be that hard to open..."

Shiro frowned at the box and picked it up in her mouth. She then dropped it on top of a rock, hoping the fall would at least make a dent in the box. But unfortunately there wasn't even the slightest scratch. Tsukishiro frowned.

Izumi felt excited by the new developments. "I want to see all these 'exclusive items' you were talking about! To do that, I am going to find out how to open these boxes, and I will use my gifted nose to seek out the rarest of all exclusive items! That will be my trade from now on!" Izumi exclaimed into the dark, cloudy sky.

"Awesome!" grinned Tsukishiro as she picked the box back up and dropped it into Izumi's bag. She gathered that since she had no idea how to open it now, she'd just ask Izumi when she found out how.
Though she was happy for her sister now that she had a direction to go in once they reached that town, she couldn't help but wonder what she would do. These boxes and exclusive items weren't nearly as interesting to her as they were to her sister.

Izumi began sniffing around again, hoping to ding another box to go with the one she had found at the peak. Her heart began to race with excitement as she thought about all the wonderful things she could do with her newfound passion for the exclusive items, maybe even start a shop of her own! A shop would mostly likely be the fastest way to see all different kinds of exclusive items, as she could trade for them and catalogue them as they came along. She was jolted out of her plans for the future, however, by a metallic-y scent that she prayed to Arceus was coming from a box. She frowned slightly, however, when she uncovered a set of fiver Iron Thorns and not what she had been expecting. She shrugged and tossed the Iron Thorns into her bag with the silver ones.

"Nice thorn collection you're getting there!" chuckled Tsukishiro as she watched Izumi put the Iron Thorns into the bag with the Silver ones. The younger Absol continued to carefully tread her way down the cliff. The surface area of her paws meant she had more to grip onto, which was good in terrain like this.

"I keep forgetting that they're in there!" Izumi laughed sheepishly as she also made her way down the face of the rock.

"We should be more careful from now on, not only because of feral Pokemon, but sometimes small landslides a triggered around these parts." Elora warned quietly.

Tsukishiro nodded and started being extra careful with each step, heeding Elora's words. Despite her care though, she ended up treading on a loose rock, which sent her sliding downwards a few feet, but wasn't enough to cause a landslide.
"Phew."

Izumi also heeded Elora's words and walked as carefully and as soundlessly as possible, althought she couldn't help but travel at a fairly fast pace. She froze when her sister slipped, however, and slowly turned around to check on her little sister. "Are you okay?" Izumi practically whispered.
