Homestuck RP 2

First topic message reminder :

As you can tell by the title, this is the actual RP. The sign up topic can be found here. Information about the RP can be found there. Concerning the posting order, that will be decided by First Come - First Serve.

Now, until the posting order is decided, you can post in any order you want. As long as you only post one time until the posting order is settled. I think an example would help: Johnny posts, thus marking his place in the posting order. Now Joeseph posts, setting his place in the posting order under Joeseph. But, Johnny can't post until everyone else has set their places in the posting order. Hopefully that explained things well enough. That's all there is to say, so lets begin!

Just as you once again draw your trusty weapon, Borealis warps you to yet another random place. Oh, so you want to play chase, do you, Bor-wait. Is this-is this the roof of the Opera? Looks like it is. So not only did the bird block your part, she decided to green-magic you into a tourist attraction. Great. As you discreetely try to give your omnipotent pal a friendly whack upside the head, you teleport yet again, ending up on a (luckily unused) boat. And there she goes. The seagull HASS the HOW DID SHE EVEN MANAGE TO GET THAT PLUSH. You could have sworn AQUILA was safe and sound in your sylladex! No matter how she got it, she has a hostage now. Smug jerk. The green light shows up once more, leaving you alone on the beach with...an empty bag of SEAWEED STRIPS. At least she's not hungry anymore? Oh, you completely forgot the memo!

All this Pestering has got you a bit flustered. Not so much as angry, but filled with anticipation. You get up from your computer chair, walking up to your window.




((So a couple things. Not trying to be deep here or anything, just trying to imitate this page. As for those still confused about clients and hosts, John was a Client, and Rose was a host. The client plays the game, whilst the Host deploys the Alchemiter/Cruxtruder/Totem Lathe etc.))

Are your eyes playing tricks on you? The loading screen is done and gone, and..

You are looking at someone's room. Is this some sort of anime or photo or something?! You completely forget about your friends and blankly stare at the screen. A bar shows up with a couple of choices, but.. What're you supposed to do..? You continue to tune out the beeps from your laptop, and move the cursor around the room. You click the boy with glasses and float him in the air in awe.

You sure are good at blocking out beeps all of a sudden.

After playing some rather haunting tunes on your violin, you sit back down at the computer and proceed to wait for Iria's return. Your friends are still talking so you read everything you've missed, deciding not to reply and merely to wait.

As your SBURB CLIENT AND SERVER EDITION finishes installing, you begin to freak out. Your door is at the beating end of a viscous cougar smackdown. This is not where you wanted to be, but you figure that starting to play may allow you to escape easier. You'll be able to play as a server once you've already been a client, you believe.

You stack the PILE OF CDs up against your door as a crude and weak obstacle. But that won't hold for long.

You also quickly draw up a CONNECTION CHART to keep track of the order of connections. With six people, it could get crazy!

You wonder if your friend LYRA will be able to help. But she is busy with troubles as well...

You quickly grab the nearest thing and chuck it outside, it clattered along the ground. Your mom being a perfectionist bends down to pick it up, before you Do a Barrel Roll Run over to her, and give her cookies, before slaming the door shut. Suddenly you realize that there is no lock. Oh well at least the cookies are going to preoccupy her for a few minutes...then again now you have none. You then quickly go back to the screen, realizing it will be finished in about a minute or two. Franticly you type up your response to the others.

Well no point in lying about the mysterious banging noise, you should at least tell them that you might disappear for no apparent reason. Meanwhile, you start looking for suitable hiding places through your room. After unplugging your laptop you decide to go into the closet which has a broken door on one side, at least with the brightness on the lowest setting. You doubt that this will prevent her from finding you but at least it helps....Right?

Before going inside, you dance out your discs to see if they're still there. Yeah, there it is, safe and-wait. You could have sworn there were two of them? Okay, so either a certain omnipotent feathery a-hole teleported them to who knows where, or...

You stealthily walk towards the living room window, and peek through it. The books are still there, but the other disc is missing. What was that bird even trying to accomplish with that, assuming she was the one who took it? You consider shouting "BOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEEAAAAAAALLLLLLLIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSS!!!!!" at the top of your lungs while shaking your fist, but you fortunately reconsider. That might trigger your brother, who would then give you a long-winded boring speech about why shouting that loudly is not okay. Typing silently on a phone, however, is.

Excellent, it seems as your friend has connected. Informing Skye about the successful game connection would be a good idea. For the sake of simplicity, you begin to open up a PesterLog just for you and Skye. Just as you hit enter, something grabs at your spectacles. They initially hover of your face, before being ripped up into the air. Your vision blurs as your glasses lift from your face. You start flailing about in your blinded state, as you wonder what in the dickens is going on.

((So Melody, the Host can't actually directly interact with the Client, i.e. picking him up with the cursor, so I alternatively went with you taking Will's glasses. Sorry for confusion!))

After a bit of a headache and thinking, you figure out that the boy is none other than Will. It takes a few moments to register this in your head before you message your pals.

It seems as if Will is pestering you, so go to answer that as well.

You begin to freak out a bit, because suddenly your mind is blank and you do not have any clue on what to select first. You watch as you almost break Will's glasses by letting them drop on the floor, but luckily you manage to stop and grab them in time.

You, as gently as possible, move your cursor over to Will's desk and drop the glasses. You simply found them is all, and you're going to pretend that never happened. You were never all that good at games as you preferred to train with your brother or play with Ava. Speaking of Ava, she's now awake and seems to be interested in looking out the bedroom window. She is on her back legs and "standing" on a chair with her paws next to the window, tail wagging.

You wonder what it is she is so curious about, but you have a game to play and no spare time.

Upon reading of Joe's apparent need to quickly enter the game you decide to put forward your own help, after all your server disk just finished loading and Iria is still otherwise occupied.

You figure that if need be you can always connect to Iria later to bring her into the game. Now that you are connected to Joe, you look through your options, quickly deploying one of the free items into his room. A Totem Lathe to be exact. You look around and place the other two free items; a Cruxtruder and an Alchemiter in places with enough space before returning to the memo.

You are now Joe again. Augh! No, wait, you want to be someone else.

TOO BAD, COUGAR TIME.

As WHISKERS slams its body against your door, you begin to panic. You know he isn't hungry, but he tends to get a little territorial and maul-ish. and that will probably result in death by the aforementioned meteors in the guide. You dont' see one yet, but you figure--

Hey. Who put stuff in your room?

Immediately, you put your stupid plan in action.

You remove:

1 x BOOK, "The Rapscallion's Guide to Forestry" by Sir Charles Hoppenhammer, III

from your array modus and look at the back of the card, and gleam the code for the rather large book. Yeah, it seems big enough to squish a normal cat, but you'd rather have it to simply fend off one.

Using the knowledge in the guide, you pop out some fresh blank sylladex cards, punch one, and make a copy of the legendary book. Hoppenhammer, you brilliant mind, you.

Right on cue, Whiskers breaks down the door, darting foward. You chuck the first copy of the book at the beast when it pounces, stunning him. Sorry, kitty, but you've got a more important job to do.

You position yourself in front of the cruxtruder. Whiskers pounces again. If you can time, this right, he'll smash off the top of the cruxtruder and send him careening out the window!

Whiskers decides he's had enough of this crap and simply darts at you. Gosh darnit.

You quietly open the windows, to make it look like you escaped, and carefully go into the closet, hide behind a bag then breathe a sig-the bag makes noise.

You move towards the corner, and it crinkles once more before stopping. Thank goodness. You then open up your computer.

You hear the door open, and you stop typing. After a few minutes she leaves, and you continue staking out. Your stoumich growls....

As you prepare to go back inside, you examine your one disc. It seems to be the server copy, which means you probably have to wait a while to actually "play" the game. Lousy goshdarn stupid bird. Oh well, at least you can connect to someone else now...

You hold your breath, count to ten and slam open the door, which your brother predictably hears. Luckily, you manage to Lass Scamper past him and his essays, and into your room. YOU'RE FREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! ...for now.

Thank goodness. It seems as Skye has retrieved your glasses. You pluck the pair of glasses, sliding them over your eyes. Things are much more clear now. You swiftly type to Skye in the PesterLog.

But you distinctly remember Joe telling you to make haste when getting on with the game. Something about deploying things, and prototyping. You aren't entirely sure how you are supposed to do anything. You don't feel any different since starting the game. Everything else seems in order. Skye was able to take your glasses, but nothing seems to have change. Maybe the Host is the one who can do these things? You better check up with her and see what's up.

((I thought I would mention the levels of Grist we have now that some of us have began the game. The initial amount is 20 Build Grist, which Melody and I have because we entered the game first. As for Jayers & Ori, you guys have 200 Build Grist. The next group to enter would have 2000 Build Grist, and so on and so on.))
