Homestuck RP 2

First topic message reminder :

As you can tell by the title, this is the actual RP. The sign up topic can be found here. Information about the RP can be found there. Concerning the posting order, that will be decided by First Come - First Serve.

Now, until the posting order is decided, you can post in any order you want. As long as you only post one time until the posting order is settled. I think an example would help: Johnny posts, thus marking his place in the posting order. Now Joeseph posts, setting his place in the posting order under Joeseph. But, Johnny can't post until everyone else has set their places in the posting order. Hopefully that explained things well enough. That's all there is to say, so lets begin!

That's better and slightly less confusing. No point in having these pesterchum windows when you can all talk in the memo. Speaking of which, you reply to it again.

Memo:

You are lucky too, your disks are in the drawer of your desk which is where you put them when they arrived a few days ago. Just to be safe though, you pull open the drawer and check.

Still safe. That's a relief as you didn't particularly want to hunt for it. You notice your trusty key knife is in the bottom of the draw and captchalogue it. It doesn't take long to sketch it using your Sketchbook Modus, and it might come in handy further along the line.

Connection order? Clients? Hosts? You have no idea what your pals are talking about. But you're not gonna be the slow one today. You open up your favorite browser, Talos, and visit Gamefaqs.com for a guide on navigating this game. You settle on the highest-rated one you can find, done by some user, unfortunately named "tentacleTherapist."

You pour over the volume, absorbing every snide word. You can't believe your luck--if this guide is right, you'll be able to "prototype" your GRAMMA and bring her back! This is a dream come true for you. But there is so much left to be done. Your SOUR PUSS slowly turns into a GENUINE GRIN.

Memo:

You dig around on the floor, looking for just the computer for exploring--the HOLOWATCH. This little invention straight from Gramma's workshop lets you use Pesterchum on your wrist, and is entirely voice-activated! It is SO COOL, you're pretty sure that all of your friends are jealous. It's battery was left to charge overnight, so it should be good to go. You slap it on your wrist and power it up. All good to go!

Next, you hop out of your room and scurry to the kitchen. You captchalogue a can of one of your Gramma's cat's favorite foods:

Normally, he eats on his own with whatever he manages to catch in the woods, but you have a good feeling about today.

After taking a refreshingly tart swig of your tonic water, you work your way into the living room. Now would be a good time to get ahold of your guardian's remains.

The living room, or known in your household, THE PARTY ROOM, is where GRAMMA used to host her crazy, off-the-wall dance parties. If there were two things she loved, they would be BIG ANIMALS and RIDICULOUS DANCE PARTIES. Anyways, you go into the funky disco and retrieve:

You hear the beeps of messages and replys so you make haste to the computer. Oh and along the way you see the rolling pin, which you decide to captchalogue for now. What a wonderful way of wasting inventory space. You dash back to your room, and quickly glance at two of your posters. They are both drawings, one which you are embarassed to death about. Hey, it must have been good enough in your eyes when you were about nine, which you decided to hang it up. Now it's up with the only one other picture you can't take it down. You respond to your friends memo.

You look over to the CD stand, and open it. You breath a sigh of relief. At least you didn't put this somewhere and forgot it like most of the other stuff that disappear in the timeframe of two days. Gee, you should probably organize your HARZARDOUS room. Someday.

You exit the room only to hear the excited scribbling of your brother in the living room. Just past him is the TV corner, and on the TV table lies two discs in greyish (Iria would have smiled if she was here) sheets with the Sburb logo on them. You think these might be the Sburb discs. To get them, though, you will need to sneak past your. Avoiding an encounter is ideal. Encounters with him are usually...boring.

You guess there's no point in turning back now. You prepare to make a dramatic youth roll across the living room, when he (in)convenently turns around. Great, you're spotted. You know your brother doesn't care much for video games and he knows you're going to play one and you know he won't just let you grab the CDs and abscond no matter how much he knows you want to. You both know there's only one solution to this conflict; the mature one.

STRIFE!

We've got to get the ball rolling, so you guess you'll go first. You don't want to wimp out in front of everyone. Anyhow, you might as well start downloading the game. You rip open the envelop and put the disc into the tray. The computer consumes the disc, with what seems to be the installation screen appearing a few moments after. A circle type shape seems to be the main focus, as it changes into different shapes and forms. What are they called? Spinnergraphs? Something like that. Whatever it is, it's rather captivating. You watch the circle dance on your screen as you await for everything to load.

You smile to yourself, and as gently as possible, you reach over and grab the game disc. You quietly grab the disc out and place it into your laptop. The laptop loads for a second, making a small whirring sound. Almost immediately after the sound, a page, seemingly the loading screen, shows an awesome circle with many different lights and such. The pixels dance on the screen, which is in rather good, but not high, definition. It's..

It's.

It's so pretty.

You watch it for a few minutes before deciding to get ready as it's loading. You gently pick Ava up and set her on your bed. She opens one eyes and licks your nose ( squeeeeee! ) before promptly falling back asleep. There is no better puppy then yours! You smile and grab your phone, refreshing Pesterchum so you don't leave your buddies in the dust. As you wait for both the loading screen and your pals, you grab your blade, lying near your bed in its case. You set it as your Strife Specibus. You can hear your brother out in the living room, playing some video game on the Wii. He has headphones on, and is playing online with some of his friends, most likely.

You head out of your room and sneakily creep into the kitchen and open the fridge. If you're going on a journey, you'll need food! At least.. you would think so. Joe's doin' all the studying, but you're gonna just take 'em. You browse your fridge.

Now, what to st- take..?

After messaging your friends, you take the server disk and put it into your laptop. Whilst waiting for it to load up, you figure that you'll save yourself some time later and grab some of the knives and bladed implements on your desk, allocating them to your bladekind Strife Specibus. For someone who likes music you have a rather large variety of them and they join the katana you already have stored there. Your mother disapproves of you having such a blade, but you don't really mind. You agree with her on most other things, so she tends to let this one go.

Thinking back to your key knife, you remember you need to find the silver necklace chain that you need to go with it. Leaving your laptop, you go over to your bed and dig around underneath it. Not finding what you're looking for, you head to your clothing drawers. You find the chain underneath an orange zip-up hoodie. Taking both from the drawer, you slip the key onto the chain and hang it around your neck before putting on the hoodie. It's your favourite hoodie because it's just so comfortable!

You are now the other guy. You know, the one who was sad, and then wasn't? What a change in character. Didn't even see that coming myself!

Anyways, you have all the gear you need, but you still feel the need to confront your sweet GRAMMA's cat. If past encounters were any indication, you're going to have to engage the beast in combat before it'll calm down. It may not be easy, but goshdarnit, these things just have to be done. If the guide was any indication, there's going to be a meteor coming soon... and if you have to fight monsters, a frisky feline ally would not be a bad idea.

With all your gear and your rad computer watch, you head out your front door. You start relaying basic information to your team about the game that you've been reading about. How nifty that your HOLOWATCH will just type what you say aloud!

Unrelated: I'm really enjoying this RP so far, so I wanted to make an OOC offer: if you send me a quick description of your character (glasses, hair style/color, shirt symbol idea, etc.), I'll try to doodle it up like this style.

You scratch your head because you have absolutely no idea what is the difference between hosts and clients. You now wish that the cds came with an instruction manual. After seeing the unatural additions of hosts you decide to become a client.

You have no idea what Joe meant "by dont forget to prototype yoooooouuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" but according to the fact the other stuff seemed to be advice it was advice which she had no clue off. You decide to eat one of your cookies to pass the time.

You draw your BO STAFF just as your brother draws his...pencils? Ok, for any other person this would have seemed like a joke weapon, but you know exactly how handy he is with these things. It's go time. Where doin iOH MY GOD SOMETHING GREEN JUST FLASHED BY THE WINDOW. Whoops, looks like you forgot you were supposed to feed Borealis, as well! Luckily, you weren't the only one caught off guard by the flash. Seeing your brother's jaw hypothetically hit the floor, you take the opportunity to sneak by him and snag the cds before absconding through the door.

Upon exiting, you are met by a white bird who would have looked like any other ol' seagull if it wasn't for a couple of minor details. Namely the lack of eyes and the ominous green sparks coming from its body. You hurry up and dance the SALTY SEAWEED STRIPS out of your SYLLADEX, but as the bag falls into your hands, you feel yourself getting surrounded by the same green light as the bird. Oh, so that's how you wanna play it, Borealis? You moan as you and her surroundings get replaced by a nearby rock. It seems like you have no choice but to humor an omnipotent feathery asshole for a while.

STRIFE! (again.)

Such exciting thing happening! I bet you are entertained. A little too entertained. Go back to four eyes over there. Yes, the one staring at the screen. Watch him watch the screen through your screen.

Your not sure what that was all about. Oh! It looks like the game is almost done loading. The dancing circle and winding clouds stops, and changes to a blank black screen. A bunch of gobbley gook seems to be on the black screen in bright white letters. "Skianet Systems Incorporated. All Rights Reserved. Establish Host Connection" and blah blah blah. It seems like RS is gonna have to finish downloading first. You'll give her the low down on what's up.

You suddenly feel so excited as the loading bar is more then halfway done and decide to update your friends since you sort of left them hanging. As you open it, you're puzzled by Joe's response, but reply nonetheless.

At the end of that post, you feel so giddy you- hey, cut that out! I SAID we were DONE SPINNING AROUND. STOP THAT THIS INSTANT.

Now that's done you sit back and wait. You figure you should do something useful with your time so you stand up and grab your violin, deciding to practice playing it.

You are now being attacked by a cougar.

Unfortunately, Whiskers the cougar is being less than helpful at the moment. Your FANCY FEAST does not seem to tempt the beast, who has already captured plenty of food for the day. Your only hope to ABSCOND back into your house.

Your efforts to close the door were futile, and that crazed feline chases you right inside. You are only able to lock yourself in your room barely, but the dead squirrel winds up getting tossed into the middle of the floor mid-scuffle. Regardless, you jump off of your lowly rank of CONFUSED CAPILLARY and up to THE BIG CAT'S MEOW. How... ironic?

Ewww. DEAD SQUIRREL. You choose not to captchalogue it, but you do let out the FANCY FEAST. No use in lugging that around anymore.

You finally realize you have to put the disc IN to start your adventure. Great job sherlock. You suddenly remember that you didn't equip the rolling pin in your strife specialist, freeing up one space. Congr-oh god. You decide not to maul someone and put the disc in the computer. The computer eats the Sburb Disc, and a screen pops up, slowly flickering across the screen. You stare at it for a few moments, before slowly tearing your eyes from the screen, deciding you have better stuff to do than to stare at a computer screen, no matter how pretty it is. First order of busniess, informing your friends.

You quickly look at the door, and feel the dread set in. She wasn't supposed to come today! If she was going to come home early at least come home tomarrow! Suddenly your door busts open and here appears your mom! She won't allow this update to your computer so you have to distract her, or lead her out of your room. There is only one option to join your friends in the game.
