Shadow and Light meet Wind and Ice

Naru was walking around the village, the sun was now rising into the sky. With Roxas by her side she took a deep breath taking in the crisp air. The leaves were starting to change their color which ment that winter would be coming soon. "Come, Roxas we have some training to do." she said smileing at her Pokemon partner. "Deino!(Let's work hard today!)" he growled with determination. Naru chuckled and headed towards the caves.

Jack burst out of his house, shouting a quick goodbye to his mother as he left. He'd been cooped up in there for days doing chores and now he was finally able to go and explore again. Laughing with Mizu, his Horsea, he dashed up the path, past Naru who was walking rather slowly, and into the forest surrounding their village. It was nearly winter, which for Jack was the best time of the year as it meant he could run around and create ice and no one would be any the wiser.

Lillian meanwhile, was already in the forest, collecting herbs for her mother's cooking.

Mausumi walked out of her house holding Rhythmi and closed the door gentlely. Turning around she saw Jack and smiled. "Hey Bunny!" She yelled, before stalking following him. Even though she was stalking following someone, she could still find time to pick a flower or two. Unfortunetly by the time she got an armful of wildflowers, she was A)lost, and B ) Jack was way out of site.

Naru turned to make sure that Roxas was still with her only to see that he was not. "Roxas, where'd you go? Roxas!" she shouted when she could not find her friend.

Meanwhile with Roxas, He was way off in the distance smelling some flowers. "Deino. Dei deino.(These flowers smell so pretty. I should find a nice one for Naru-san.)" he said to himself. The dragon type was unaware that he was alone. Close by there was a large red Pokemon snapping it's pincers quietly, slowly closing in on it's target.

Jack yelled a quick, "Hey Mausumi!" before charging of to who knows where, his thin brown cloak flapping in the wind as he ran. It was a wonder how he managed to stay warm in such thin clothes... or at least that's what most of the village kept saying to him. He knew perfectly why he never felt cold, he just didn't tell anyone.

A short while later, after touring around the area, Jack found himself surrounded by wildflowers. Avoiding them, he stuck his hooked staff in the ground, standing on the end of it to look around. It was just then that he realised he'd forgotten his shoes.... again. Shrugging it off as a normal occurrence(which it was), Jack spotted something interesting nearby. It looked like a Scizor... but Scizor were rarely found this close to the village. Blinking, he quietly hopped down off of his staff and crept towards it.

The Pincer Pokemon looked to have it's eye on a Deino... but dragon type Pokemon weren't usually found alone around here.. and Deino themselves were usually found in caves. It was odd to say the least.
Mizuryu floated next to Jack, the air around her colder than everywhere else so she could 'swim' easier in the denser air.

"What do you think Mizu?" asked Jack, looking at the Scizor. He picked his staff up, spinning it around and throwing it upwards before holding it in a more convenient position further down the length of the wood.
The Horsea merely nodded, signalling that she too though something wasn't right about this. Both she and Jack had seen Deino around the village.. perhaps it belonged to someone there...

The Scizor moved as if preparing to attack and something hit Jack. He practically facepalmed for not realising sooner.
"Crap. That girl we ran past. She had a Deino with her and she was heading the same way," he told Mizu, forming a ball of ice in his free hand as he did so. He then turned away from his Horsea and threw the ball. With surprising accuracy, it hit the Scizor on the head, attracting it's attention.

Jack suddenly realised that this probably wasn't the best idea he'd had all day.


Meanwhile, Lillian had a large collection of herbs in her arms, and Aria had a decent amount in her claws too. Grinning, she hoped this would be enough for her mother for at least a week or so, providing that they didn't dry out too quickly.

Suddenly the wind brought her a faint, very faint sound. "Rhythmi, something is over to the East." Mausumi mumbled to the Dratini, who was curled around her little arrangement of flowers, before running over to where she could hear the noise. As she ran closer the cause of the sound it was slightly clearer, before disappearing. When finally she crossed over the final bump in the meadow, what Mausumi saw was Jack, a Red thing which she thought was a Scizor, and a Deino who seemed like he was having the same idea as Mausumi, enjoying the view, and mainly the flowers. The Scizor seemed to want to attack the Deino, and suddenly a....Snow Ball(?) appeared and hit the Bug. The Scizor seemed to be not amused by that attack and prepared to attack Jack. "Rhythmi! Thunder Wave the Scizor!" She called out, as her Dratini jumped, causing all the flowers that she collected to fall to the ground, and released a small shockwave at the Scizor. Please hit and stop it in his tracks she hoped.

Roxas heard something from behind him and turned to "See" what it was. Naturally Deino cannot see but they can still hear. "Ssscizzzor!" he heard growl. This had happened once, Roxas was alone without Naru with him and he got scared. But Naru managed to find him and told him not to be afraid the next time he was alone. Should he encounter a wild Pokemon he would have to defend himself.

Then he used Headbutt on the bug/steel type. The Scizor fell to the ground and turn to see what had hit it. It saw it's prey and it did not look happy.

The Thunder Wave hit the Scizor, paralysing it and stopping it in it's tracks. Jack smirked for a second, trying to stifle a laugh before he couldn't hold it anymore and just let it out, laughing rather loudly. He bent over as he laughed before sitting down and lying in the grass. As he did so, a small layer of frost and ice crept up the stems of some of the flowers he was lay near and his laughing slowly stopped. Rolling onto his front he looked up at Mausumi, the remnants of his laughter still on his face as he smiled up at her.
"Thanks for that," he grinned before pushing himself up onto his knees.

As he did so, he heard a crash behind him. The paralysed Scizor had been knocked onto the ground by the Deino's attack. Mizu looked at the Deino, tilting her head from where she hovered.
"Oh right," said Jack, getting back up onto his still shoeless feet, "You belong to that girl from before, don't you?" Jack asked the Deino, "Come on! We'll help you find her!"

Jack grinned to the Deino, Mizu watching the Scizor carefully as Jack moved around it to get closer to the Deino.

Lillian heard the sounds of the Scizor falling to the ground and shook her head, wandering towards the source of the noise.
"This forest never seems peaceful anymore," she muttered.

"No problem Bunny. Or do you want me to add Laughing Bunny to your name?" Mausumi grinned, before her face became well as serious as Mausumi's face can be.(Which is not really that serious). "Well if the Deino is someone else's Pokemon, maybe I can help you find her?" She offered, to Jack but more to the Deino. "Give me a second." She suddenly closed her eyes and tried to listen what the voices on the wind brought her. A faint mumble came from towards the forest area. Mausumi opened her eyes and asked the Deino "Is your owner in the forest?" The faint mumble from the forest stopped but it close.

Naru was walking up the hill still looking for Roxas, however something caught her eye. Three men dressed in black robes, "Not those guys again." she muttered running up the hill. She failed to notice a Pokemon was right behind her and tackled her to the ground. Landing to the ground with full force she turned behind her with wide eyes. she felt something that was rare for her: fear. She let out an ear splitting scream. The three men watch her as their Pokemon held her in place.

Roxas' head shot up as he heard his trainer scream. With great worry he raced off in the direction he heard her scream. In his mouth was a soft shade of pink flower.

"Where does that nickname even come from?" asked Jack. It wasn't one of his favourites that was for sure.

As Jack heard the scream, he turned to Mausumi, "I think she is in the forest yea.."
He then proceeded to dash off, still barefoot, towards where the scream had come from. He could travel so much quicker if he used his abilities... but he was supposed to keep them secret for Arceus knows what reason.
Throwing his hands up in the air in defeat, his staff still in his right hand, he told Mizu to use Ice Beam. He hoped that if it looked like she was making the ice, he could still get there quicker.

"Come on Mousie!" he laughed, using the animal nickname for his friend that he had adopted in retaliation to the one she had given him -which he still didn't understand. Jack grabbed Mausumi's hand and pulled her onto the ice, which he seemed to skate on without even wearing any shoes. As he travelled across the forest on his icy pathway, he pulled Mausumi along, the edge of the ice disintegrating into frosty particles once Jack and Mausumi were far enough away from it.

Once they reached their destination, Jack skidded to a halt. He was obviously used to this, having such great control over the direction and speed he was skidding along the ice at. Jack helped Mausumi and Rhythmi off of the ice before it too disintegrated into mere frosty particles. Grinning, her gave Mizu a little nod of thanks before turning to the situation at hand.

A Pokemon he had never seen before... seemed to be pinning the Deino's trainer to the ground for some reason. And there were a bunch of oddly dressed guys in front of it.
"What the...?" he blinked, his Horsea looking just as confused.

Shrugging, Jack told Mizu to use Ice Beam. The Horsea obliged, loosing a beam of pale blue towards the mammal-like Pokemon.

Mausumi grinned again, "Well if I told you, then it wouldn't be funny to me, and annoying to you!" She told Jack before hearing a scream, "Well we better hurry then!" She said quickly running. It was rather slow since she didn't feel like revealing to her friend that she could suddenly float in mid-air. And anyways it was a secret, she couldn't do it. Suddenly Mizu made an icy slide on the ground and she was being half dragged half slid over the ice.

"Right behind you Bunny!" She grinned as they sped across the ice. Mice were cute, and even though sometimes they bit, they were mainly little fuzzy balls of adorableness. Suddenly she thought, Well a bit of wind wouldn't hurt... and summoned a decent breeze to speed them along. Jack skidded to a halt, but she and Rhythmi fell down on their faces. "Well mice can't ice skate, that's for sure." She mumbled as she was being helped up. What she saw made her slightly mad. What did the trainer do to them? I highly doubt she did anything to them, they just attacked her! "Rhythmi, use Twister. Hit the Pokemon, and please don't hurt the trainer." Mausumi said seriously. The Dratini blinked, but obligied, and a swirl of purple-ish fire appeared, and she sent it towards the Pokemon. Unfortunetly Mizu used Ice Beam at the same time, and the two attacks collided.

The Pokemon glanced to it's side and leapt into the air. Roxas jumped after it and used Bite. Naru gasped quietly and saw two attacks just miss the orange Pokemon. One of the three men stepped forward and removed his hood, "Now, now there is no need for violence. My name is Lorenzo Kazuna." the man introduced himself. The Orange Pokemon landed beside the silver haired man and glared at the Pokemon that was biting his leg. "Landorus, use Crunch." he said glancing at the smaller Pokemon. "Roxas get away!" Naru shouted. The Deino quickly let go but he was not quick enough to escape the Pokemon's attack.

"Ahh crap. Sorry Mouse," frowned Jack, calling over to his friend as their Pokemon's moves collided. The ice froze the twister into place, and it was all a bit of a shambles. Frowning, Jack called out his next move.
"Bubblebeam, Mizu!"

The Horsea obliged, firing a stream of exploding bubbled toward the Landorus. Though Jack didn't know it because he didn't know what type the Pokemon was, this water type move would be super effective. However, due to the limited strength of his partner, it likely wouldn't do a much a expected from a super effective move.

Jack didn't particularly care who this man was. He was attacking a trainer along with their pokemon partner for no reason at all. If he couldn't use his ice powers, he would instead battle and try and get this man to take his Pokemon and leave them alone.

"It's fine Bunny." Mausumi blinked as it fizzled. Suddenly when one of the people removed his hood, she didn't know if she should laugh, be angry, or both. What she felt was the two emotions combine into one as he told them there was no need for violence. "Oh sure, should I be mad at you simply attempting to tell us that there is no need for violence, when you harmed a trainer for no good reason." She put a big emphasis on the end, "Or should I be worried and call medics because obviously that choker is going to choke you." she added dryly. Execpting Mizo's attack this time, she called Rhythmi to use Dragon Rage, right as the Bubbles were about to hit the Pokemon, anticipating it's dodge. The bellow that Rhythmi unleashed traveled quickly and caused the bubbles to spread out, and although it would cause less damage, will have a more likely chance to hit.
