Light and Shadows

The moon was shining brightly, however the peace was suddenly disturbed in the outskirts of the village, there was a large explosion. In a small gap in the forest there was a passed out Houndour whimpering in pain. "I think you over did it Roxas." the girl said bluntly to her Pokemon. "Deino.(Opps, sorry.)" the black and blue Pokemon laughed. The girl walked over and bent down next to the injured Pokemon, "Here you go, eat this." she said holding out a blue berry. The Houndour slowly raised it's head up and whimpered, "It's alright. Go on take it." she said with encouragement. The dark Pokemon took a small bite out of the fruit and felt a sudden burst of energy. Wolfing down the berry he took off when he was finished. "Deino dei deino?(Why are you so nice to Dark and Ghost type Pokemon and not the humans in the village?)" Roxas asked his trainer. The girl stood up and gazed at the moon as a soft breeze blew through the trees, "Because, you guys are the only ones that understand me." she said as her amber gem twinkled under the moonlight.

As Naru finished speaking, an eerie melody began to echo through the forest. It's source no doubt, would be found deeper in. The melody was pretty, though in the darkness of the night it had a quality to it that made it seem mysterious.

The music seemed to attract some of the wild Pokemon in the forest, as bird Pokemon could be seen fluttering towards where the sound originated from.

This is what the music sounds like:

"Deino.(That's beautiful.)" Roxas said in awe. The silver haired girl looked around for the source of the sound, she looked into the darkness and started walking, "Come with me, Roxas." she said softly heading towards the music. it didn't take long before the two made it to a clearing in the forest. Roxas bumped into his trainer as she stopped at the edge of the trees. "Deino, deino?(Sorry, why'd you stop?)" he asked "looking" at his trainer. The girl said nothing but stared at the clearing.

Lillian continued to play, the music emanating through the clearing though there wasn't a person to be seen. Instead, Bird Pokemon were gathered in the trees on the edge of the clearing, listening. Their eyes closed as the eerie melody lulled them to sleep. The Pokemon around here were used to this now. Lillian would often come here in the night to sing to them, or play music to them. They would often fall asleep to her peaceful melodies.
The clearing itself however, was completely empty, the pale moonlight drenching it in white.

The silver haired girl blended in with the shadows of the forest, it was natural that she couldn't be seen. Roxas perked up slightly and ran towards the girl in the clearing. Though he could not see her, he could smell her. Coming to a trot the dragon made a small sound to alert the human of his presence.

There was one tree in the middle of the clearing and in it sat Lillian. As she played her ocarina her Swablu, Aria, hummed along, accompanying the music. Small patches of ground around the clearing glowed pale blue, standing out against the white of the moonlight. As she continued to play, small green plantlets would extend from the surface of the earth. Other plants, already there when she had begun playing, finally sprouted buds, the flowers ready to open when the sun rose up.

A gentle whisper in Lillian's mind;
Someone's here.

The music stopped all of a sudden, Lillie's previously closed eyes flying open at the whisper. It wasn't the whisper itself but rather the message it brought. As the music stopped all of a sudden, the spots that glowed blue around the clearing quickly dispersed, leaving plain white moonlight back in it's place. The plants that had grown however, remained. Lillian glanced uneasily around the clearing, trying to spot the person that the Guardians had alerted her to.

Naru took a few steps forward into the moonlight. "Interesting. There's no darkness in her heart. Everyone has some darkness of some sort inside them." she whispered. Roxas stopped running and turned to where he heard his trainers voice. "Deino?(What are you talking about?)" he called back to her. Naru stared in awe at the newly grown plants.

Lillian blinked as Naru stepped into the clearing. She paused for a moment, her green eyes analysing the person before her. Tuning out for a moment, she focused on the little blue and red light that flickered inside everyone. She could sense others near the clearing, from the Pokemon around her. She recognized this person from the village... but had never known her name. Luckily, Lillian could sense the goodness within her, and though it wasn't perfect -tainted with purple- she knew that this person wasn't all bad.
However, Lillian remained silent, her eyes blinking open again.

Naru smiled softly and looked at Roxas, "What do you say we have a friendly battle?" she asked the girl. Roxas ran around a few time and took a battle stance. "What better way to get to know each other then with a battle?" she asked. Naru had always battled wild Pokemon so this was going to be her first trainer battle. Let's do this, Roxas. she thought with confidence.

Lillian blinked, not sure what to do about the proposal. She looked to her left and then to her right before looking to the Swablu sat on her shoulder. She giggled quietly at the feeling of soft downy feathers on her cheek.
Once her laughter subsided, she replied quietly, "Alright then..."

Lillian slid off of her branch of the tree, gently landing on the ground. Aria fluttered down shortly after.
"Be careful Aria," she blinked.
Lillie never really liked conflict, despite the fact that she had opted to train her own Pokemon partner. She generally preferred to improve her partner's strength by using other methods such as strengthening and training each move individually.

Naru smirked and took her stance as well, "Roxas, use Headbutt!" The Deino roared and charged forward as he lowered his head. This will be a challenge, with Roxas being a Dark/Dragon type Swablu has the advantage. I'll have to see what kind of attack she'll use. she thought.

"Dodge it Aria," said Lillian calmly. Battling was never really anything she enjoyed and so she wouldn't get all fired up like other trainers would. Sometimes her ability to stay calm in most situations was the reason she won things, as she could think clearly even when the situation looked dire.

The Swablu chirruped and fluttered gracefully up into the air. Her ability of flight gave her a great advantage over the Deino, as she could easily dodge most attacks. This was partly the reason Lillian had chosen Swablu to train as her partner. That and she loved the way they sang and hummed such tuneful melodies.

"Hyper Voice. Keep your distance," Lillie instructed. From her position in the air, Aria's beak parted and she let out a powerful screech. The sound waves from which headed straight towards the Deino, echoing throughout the clearing.

Roxas kept turning his head unsure of where the attack was coming from. "Roxas it's above you!" Naru shouted. By the time the Deino looked up he felt the attack and flinched at the power. "Use Dragon Rage!" Naru commanded. Roxas "Glared" up at the small blue Pokemon opening his mouth and unleashed a burst of energy that took the form of a dragon.

"Hyper Voice and Peck," blinked Lillian, "Like we practiced Aria!"

The Swablu nodded, spinning in her spot in the air. She used Hyper Voice, but the spinning caused the sound waves from the move to fold back upon her, coating her in a pale, glowing light but not quite touching her. Still spinning, she used Peck, flying straight towards the Dragon Rage. The move collided with her beak and the Swablu took damage, but she wasn't finished yet. Part of the Dragon Rage was brought backwards by Aria's spinning, joining the Hyper Voice in surrounding her body with what was now a combination of pale grey and deep purple hues.
Aria then sped swiftly towards the Deino, intending to hit with the combination of three moves.

"Dodge it and use Dragon Breath!" Naru shouted. The Deino dodged the attack but just barely and used Dragon breath. Opening his mouth yet again he sent out a dark green force of energy towards the bird Pokemon.
