Personality: Prickly with a unique accent that has formed from living alone. He also has many unusual expressions. Douglas is a quiet loner. Happy only when digging and treasure hunting, he is a Sandshrew with his own agenda. This may be unfortunately compromised for his survival. Douglas loves sandstorms as they allow him to sneak by Pokèmon and make him feel at home even about the ground.

History: Douglas up and left his home at a young age quite suddenly. From a babe Douglas had felt odd. Always preferring the comfort of the ground rather then of others, he became isolated. Douglas felt as though he no longer belonged and follows a calling out in the sands. Being a fantastic digger, Douglas spent a year as a vagabond, trawling around underground for anything and everything of value, all the while avoiding dangers and towns. The first job Douglas completed was an inadvertent lost and found. This resulted in the tan cowboy hat he often sports. Three stars of gold line the leather band around the center of the broad brim. It is his most prized possession.

Shortly there after, Douglas got himself trapped in Sandile territory and things were looking grim. Just as Douglas had lost all hope in salvation, the Sandiles fled the area suddenly, floundering around in the sand in their haste to be away. Thanking his stars, Douglas noticed  Up on the rise squatted a figure of some description. As Douglas tipped his hat in thanks, the figure disappeared like look and sound of sand and shell flowing through ones fingers.

Now Douglas seeks his vision, hoping to repay the inconvenient favor he finds himself burdened with and to prove to himself that his apparition was more then the desert sun. But information is expensive and rocks only talk so much. Hence Douglas finds himself on the outskirts of Grassveil town, with the sweet taste of adventure and bitter tang of imitate socialization on his lips.

Other: Douglas carries a small leather backpack that he has used to store treasure. It holds two small items at most so that he may have free hands while digging.

Also, don't touch the hat.
