NIGHT 1: Alex and Radon

Alex walked into the room. As soon as he saw the beds, he had an overwhelming urge to flop right on one and fall asleep...but he couldn't yet. He sat down on one and faced Radon.

"Radon...the thing I want to talk to you about is that I've noticed something about you...you're not in trouble, but...we ralts can sense other pokemon's feelings. I noticed that when we entered the guild for the first time, I could sense that you felt...uncomfortable, and you stayed outside by the door.. And later, when we were talking about the sleeping arrangements, you were gritting your teeth and I felt you felt even worse than before...is there something wrong, Radon?"

Radon yawned and stood up, stretching as he did so. The riolu walked over to a small window that the sunlight shined through and looked outside.
Radon always liked the early morning. It was quiet and calm period, before most other pokemon got up and started their noisy day. It was around this time that he almost felt relaxed, at peace, almost.

Alex continued to think. a few years have passed since his parents were kidnapped, and he's done much since then.

He's helped anyone in need, and was great at stopping conflict. But...dark-types...they always seemed to scare him. But, despite that, he managed to solve a conflict involving one, anyway, even if he didn't sound as convincing. And after 5 years...Alex had decided to take it up a notch. He made the ad, and he was glad that these guys were the ones who came...but...Alex couldn't just think about the moments five years ago...

"...Momm...Daddy..." Alex wispered.

The feeling of calm was quickly washed away when Radon heard something behind him.
He looked over his shoulder at the bed with the sleeping ralts. Sleeping?
"Hey, you awake?". He asked in an even tone.

Alex was prepared for Radon to ask that. He slowly sat up, yawned, and said in his best I've-been-asleep-for-hours voice, "Only just now...I see you got up before me. And it sounds lime most of the others are asleep as well...you want to talk?"

Radon opened his mouth and was about to answer "no" when he paused.
Hmm... Animosity between the group wouldn't be a good, especially since they were only starting, and it probably wouldn't hurt to talk alittle bit, so...
With a faint sigh the riolu shrugged and replied. "Okay?"
He walked over to the edge of his bed and sat down, resting his hands to the sides of him.
"What'd you want to talk about?"

Alex paused...he could feel that Radon was about to say no...but he cjanged his mind. He must be beggining to trust the group. Alex's ability sure was handy. But now he had to think of something to say...

"Well, I have a question. Why did you decide to answer the ad?"

Radon shrugged. "I figure I needed to start somewhere. And I'm not the best socializing so, I thought it'd be a good way to meet some pokemon with the same interest.".

Alex nodded. "Makes sense..." but it made more sense than Alex let on. Radon admited he's not good at socializing...perhaps that's why he's uncomfortable around other pokemon?

"Anyway, I actually started the ad becuase...I need to become stronger. I want to be able to solve any conflict I can, but I'm afraid of Dark-Type pokemon...so, I figure, that if I evolve into a gallade, I can get over my fear and be able to help any pokemon in need of help. I also figure that if I'm with others, I can help others better, and get stronger faster. I know it sounds like I'm using you, but...I'm not."

Radon shrugged, keeping a neural expression. "Its fine." He looked over at the window. "We all use each other for our own goals." He stated matter-a-factly, almost cynically.
As he looked at the window the Riolu pondered the word choice in the ralts sentences, especially the part where he said he needs to get better, to get stronger.
Radon faced back towards Alex and looked at him with thoughtful eyes.
Maybe, just maybe. He might be hiding something too.

Alex paused for a second. "Anything you want to talk about, Radon?"

Though Radon was listening to Alex, he was caught off guard with the question. What did he want to talk about?
"N-nothing.". The riolu stammered quickly.
He was tempted to ask Alex about his past, but that conversation might lead to a topic he didn't want to get into...
So he stood up, rubbed the back of his head, and said.
"You wanna take a look at the job boards?". Hoping to stray away from talking about anything personal.

Alex shrugged. "We might as well. We might be able to get a first pick. We'll converse it with the others once they wake up.

Alex walked over to the Outlaw board, and looked at one of the requests. he took it off and handed it to Radon. "How about this job? it looks like we could do this one.

Radon took the request from Alex and read it over.
"So we just have to help em get their reviver seed back.". Hmm Shadowhud Forest. It wasn't going to be too hard. But...
He looked up at Alex.
"Murcrow is a dark type Pokemon" he stated blandly. "Right?"

Alex nodded. "From my knolege, yes. But, it's also a flying type, so we might have a harder time. Of course, why would we want it to be easy?" Alex smiled a little. It was finally happening...he had a chance to help someone! "Of course, we're also getting a pecha scarf, so that's really good! I hope the others like this job. SPeaking of which, we still have to wait for them to wake up."

Alex then looked at the ground. "Look, Radon...I'm sorry if you feel uncomfortable becuase of all the questions I've been asking. It's just that...even though I like to help other pokemon...I have a few issues with trust. I've worked most of them out, but whenever I sense some emotion from someone that seems wrong...I get suspicious. I just want to be able to trust you, you know?"

Radon looked up from the request he was reading and stared at Alex with slightly narrowed eyes. After a second of silence he sighed tiredly and relaxed his gaze.
"If you want to talk about 'trust', then you probably shouldn't talk to me. But if your asking if you can trust me then...". He paused, not sure how to explain.
"Look, I'm on your team, so I got your back.". He nodded in confirmation before turning towards the outlaw board.
He didn't have to tell anyone! he reminded himself... Hmm, there's another interesting job.
It was easier to keep it inside... Oh, there's another board on the other side of the room
Then let it all spill out...

OoC: (Sorry for the depressing post ^_^ , just tryin to keep with my characters persona, I feel like I'm teetering on the brink of overdramaticness, or maybe I'm already a couple miles past it >_<))
