The Beginning of a Long Voyage

Izumi stood at the entrance to the Black Spiral Staircase early one peticular morning, her medium-sized treasure bag hanging from her neck as per usual. The Black Spiral Staircase lead straight to the very peak of Black Mist Mountain, the place she and her sister Tsukishiro called home. She and her sister were leaving for a new town that day, but first Izumi wanted to procure a certain item from the mountain's peak. The Black Mist's most sacred and valuable treasure. Or, in any case, it was valuable to them. Izumi had no clue how much the item was actually worth, she wasn't even sure if it existed. But she was sure as heck she was going to find out. She waited patiently for her sister to join her at the gaping entrance to the inside of the mountain.

Izumi jumped out of the way of the Ice Punch and tried to Scratch the Sneasel from above, her claws glowing a pale white color. In her current state, she didn't want to attempt a Megahorn attack until she knew she could KO the Sneasel with one  blow. For now, she was just going to try and slow it down. 

The Drilbur popped out of the ground under Tsukishiro, only the damage he had taken and the dirt slowed his attack down and he couldn't peg her immediately like he had Izumi.

The Sneasel blinked as she realised the attack was coming in from above. She used Quick Attack to swiftly dodged out of the way, before doing a u-turn and attempting to attack Izumi in return.

Tsukishiro had closed her eyes listening for the movements of the Drilbur. Admittedly her hearing wasn't as good as some Pokemon but it had certainly helped this time. She heard faint scratching noises as the Drilbur dug towards the surface. At the last moment she leaped out of the way, switching the roles around and using Feint while it was above the ground.

The Drilbur was knocked into the wall of black rock behind him by the force of Tsukishiro's attack. He had the wind knocked out of him for a minute, then dug back into the ground.

Izumi took a few long strides to the right to avoid the Sneasel's attack. The Sneasel may have been faster than her, but she had longer legs and could cover more distance when she needed to. She spun around on her front law and used her Feint attack within a close range.

Tsukishiro closed her eyes again, trying to detect where the Drilbur would come up next.

The Sneasel used Ice Punch to counter the Feint attack, preventing it from harming her. She then used her other paw to form another Ice Punch, swinging it round in an attempt to damage Izumi.

Izumi countered the punch with her Feint attack and then used her Scratch as a counter attack to try and deal out some more damage to the Sneasel.

The Drilbur attempted to dig up straight under Tsukishiro, this time under her face so that he could try and hit her in a blind spot just under her chin.

As Izumi's Feint countered her other Punch, the Sneasel's other claw began to glow pale white in colour. She used Scratch to counter Izumi's own Scratch move.

Tsukishiro's claws glowed in the same way as the Sneasel's as she also readied her Scratch attack. She heard the Drilbur coming. After identifying the sound the time beh.fore, it was an easy matter to find it again. However, just as she was about to leap and attack the Drilbur, he shot out of the ground under her chin and caused her to stagger backwards and fall over in shock. It felt like her jaw was on fire in the first few moments after the blow.

After hitting Tsukishiro, the Drilbur hit the ground running at her with a scratch attack of his own. Only it was a lot like a fat kid running. He didn't get very far very quickly.

Izumi jumped back after the Sneasel countered her counter attack and prepared a Feint attack, then waited for the Sneasel's next move.

Tsukishiro quickly tried to pull herself back together. She shook her head and though it didn't exactly help with the pain she felt, carried on anyway. The younger Absol used Feint, attacking the Drilbur with the scythe shaped appendage on her head.

The Sneasel suddenly opened her mouth and from where she stood, fired a multitude of icy projectiles towards Izumi in the form of an Ice Shard attack.

Izumi charged at the Sneasel, using her Feint attack to bat the icy crystals away, and then went for the Sneasel herself with the attack.

The Drilbur was once again blown backwards by Tsukishiro's attack, but he wasn't about to give up. He tunneled his way underground once more, hoping to strike Tsukishiro again.

The Sneasel used her Scratch move for defensive measures rather than offensive and stopped Izumi in her tracks meaning that neither of them managed to hurt the other. The Sneasel then hopped up and, propelling herself off of a rock, headed for Izumi once again with an Ice Punch.

Tsukishiro blinked as she saw the Sneasel hurtling towards her sister, but learned from the feral Pokemon's actions. She leaped up onto a rock. Rock that was too hard to tunnel through because it wasn't as soft as the Earth and soil that they walked upon.

The Drilbur tried to dig up under Tsukishiro, but there was no way he was going to make it through the black rock. Instead, he ended up hitting his head hard and falling back down into his own tunnel. He dug up about and inch away from the rock and peaked out to see what was going on.

Meanwhile, Izumi saw the Sneasel flying towards her and got a crazy idea. She got down on the ground, so close that she was practically laying down so that the Sneasel would fly right over her. Then, using the feral pokemon's speed to her advantage, she stuck her scythe up into the air just under where the Sneasel would fly over her and used Feint again. It was a stretch, but if she could pull it off then she could at least do some damage to the Sneasel's underside. She poored a lot into that Feint attack and hoped that her Super Luck would pay off.

Tsukshiro smiled as the Drilbur peaked at his surroundings. The younger Absol then pounced, another Scratch attack ready before he could escape again.

The Sneasel realized what Izumi had done and she felt the sharp ain in her stomach not long after. However, instead of letting the momentum carry her further, the Sneasel also grabbed a hold of Izumi's scythe before using Scratch attack, the claws on her feet glowing white as she aimed downwards.

Izumi felt the Sneasel grab her horn and quickly stood up and started tossing her head around, trying to shake the Sneasel off. Realizing that it was going to be to no avail, Izumi then ran over to the wall of black stone and rammed her horn and the Sneasel into it, attempting to get her off.

The Drilbur was knocked out of the ground by Tsukishiro's Scratch and slid across the dirt. He found it was getting harder and harder for him to stand back up, but he did anyways. His claws started glowing and he dashed at Tsukishiro again, although his movements were getting clumsier and clumsier.

Tsukishiro bounded across the distance between them and once again pounced, using scratch on the Drilbur. She wanted to finish this up there and then so that her and Izumi could head to the mountain's peak.

The Sneasel, was surprised at Izumi's actions. The wind was knocked out of her as she was rammed into the wall and she slid to the ground, no longer gripping Izumi's scythe.

Seeing her opportunity to finish the battle, Izumi reared back and prepared her Megahorn attack. Her scythe glowed a bright white-ish green and grew in size. She then brought it down on the Sneasel with every ounce of energy she had left.

The Drilbur was hit by the Scratch attack and was sent flying once again, skidding to a stop on the ground some feet away. Only this time, he didn't get up. He struggled to try, but he ended up slipping into a fainted state anyway.
