First Official Exploration! Rescue Budew!

An Absol wandered over to the request board, her red eyes focused on the jobs pinned to it, looking for one that seemed fairly easy and would make a good impression for a first job. One of them caught her eye;


Blinking, she read it and smiled. She hadn't yet been to the Pecha Forest, but she had already heard guild members talk about the abundance of berries that could be found there. Tsukishiro chuckled to herself, I guess that's how it got it's name.
Using one paw, the Absol pinned the paper to the board. With her second front paw, she unhooked the pin from the paper before sticking it back in a corner of the board so that the board updaters could use it later. With some difficulty, she rolled up the job and tucked it neatly into her explorer's bag. Whilst she was there, she checked that she had her explorer's badge, wonder map and the Reviver Seed that she had found whilst travelling to Grassveil with Izumi. Just in case, she was wearing the Defense Scarf from the same journey and was keeping a Pecha Scarf spare in the bag at the same time.
Tsukishiro sighed as she realised she'd forgotten the silver thorn's she had been hoping to take with her.
"Oh well, I'll use them next time," she muttered to herself. The young explorer was far to eager to get going to double back to grab a few thorns. Grinning to herself, she cheerfully wandered up the short flight of stairs and out of the Guild building, heading towards Pecha Forest.


It didn't take long for Tsukishiro to reach the forest as it was pretty close to the edge of Grassveil. She stood at it's entrance, a determined look on her face.
"Alright then! Here I come!" she grinned, chuckling as she took her first steps into the forest.

Shiro made good progress through the forest, humming to herself to give her a tune to walk with. A rustle soon caught her attention and she froze, turning back to see what the source of the rustling was.

Tsukishiro blinked as Keyami hugged her. It was a rather weird experience but a nice one nonetheless. She hoped that she could help other Pokemon like this as she was an explorer now. It was surprising what a simple gift and act of kindness could do to brighten someone's day.

"You're welcome," she smiled.

Keyami let her go and continued down the path, bouncing from the base of one tree to the next."C'mon, PBIT~ It's way more fun this way~" He urged his travel companion to join his rather silly looking method of progressing forward. Of course, if she declined his offer he would probably just complain until she was guilt-ed into doing it anyway.

Tsukishiro just shrugged and joined in, deciding to humour the Meowth. She had to admit it did lighten up an otherwise boring trip through the forest.. though she did keep her red eyes peeled for any signs of a Budew nearby. She wasn't about to miss out on the chance to make a good impression after her first job.

As Keyami leaped into the air, twirling while up high, a sharp cry pierced his eardrums. He fell onto the ground rather gracelessly before quickly popping back up and staring into the bushes where the noise had emanated from. "What was that?" He inquired after a moment of silence. He quietly crept forward, gazing into the shadows.

Tsukishiro blinked as she heard the cry. As it ended, she stared into the bushes for a moment before looking at Keyami.
"I... I don't know. Do you think it could be Budew? Or another feral Pokemon?" she asked, hesitating slightly. If it was Budew, she didn't want to linger because she wanted to get them out of the dungeon as quick as possible... but she didn't want to rush in, just in case it was a Pokemon planning to attack them.

This dice is not existing.

Keyami decided that there was no point in sitting around staring at some bushes so he padded forwards. That is, he walked forwards a few steps before getting distracted by a Pecha Berry. "Ohh PBIT! A Pecha berry! Lookie Lookie!" He bestowed the berry unto his travel companion with a happy trill before remembering the actual task he had been performing. With gusto, he stepped forwards and pushed the bushes aside. There, quivering in a pile of leaves, was a green and yellow Pokemon, whimpering quietly.

Tsukishiro picks up the Pecha Berry using her jaws and gently tucks it into her pouch. She then turns her attention to the whimpering Pokemon in the bush.

"Are you Budew?" she asked gently, her tone and warm smile hoping to comfort the smaller Pokemon, "We're here to help you get back to Grassveil."

Keyami crouched down by the Pokemon, extending a gentle paw. "Hey, it's okay! We're going to return you home safe and sound." He beamed brightly at the Pokemon.

The Budew hesitantly opened its eyes, gazing first at Tsukishiro and then to Keyami. It stood up shakily. "A-are you explorers from the g-guild?" It seemed to be slowly loosing it's shivers as it came to realized that neither of these Pokemon wished it any ill will.

"Uh, she is." Keyami pointed to Tsukishiro. "I'm just a concerned friend." He decided this was the best way to explain.

Tsukishiro smiled and nodded at what Keyami said.
"We'll get you out of here without anymore trouble. Don't worry."

The Absol then dipped her head back into her Treasure Bag.
"I hope you like sweet things like Keyami here does," she smiled as she gave the Budew the Pecha Berry in an attempt to cheer it up.

"Come on then," smiled Shiro, "If you want I can carry you...?"

Budew grabbed the Pecha berry, looking at it inquisitively. She (It's female now XD) took a large bite of it before smiling a tiny smile. "Thank you." Her voice was steadier now as she finished off the berry. "Ah.. If it isn't too much trouble I'd like that a lot." She said in answer to Tsukishiro. "Oh! What are your names?"

Keyami grinned vibrantly. "I'm Keyami!~" He winked and spun around in an exaggerated manner.

The Budew laughed quietly. "I'm Ryuko. Please feel free to call me Ryu." She smiled once more before toddling closer towards Tsukishiro so she could climb atop her.

Tsukishiro lay down, tensing her paws underneath her belly so that she could easily get back up again and start moving once the Budew was on her back.
"I'm Tsukishiro by the way," she smiled, "Leader and currently only member of Team Yozora.

Once Ryuko was positioned steadily on Shiro's back, she got back up onto her feet and began moving, heading towards the exit of Pecha Forest. The Absol felt proud that she had found the Budew and now she only had to get her home to Grassveil.

Ryuko listened attentively and quietly to the tales Keyami continued to spew while Tsukishiro occasionally added in her two cents. After a while, the rhythmic footsteps and chatter lulled her to sleep. The last thing she saw before slipping into a doze was Keyami running straight into a tree. For the fifth time.

"Ouuch." Keyami whined, peeling himself off of the tree trunk. "Trees are meaaaan PBIT!~ Tell the trees not to be mean!" Keyami pouted and looked to Tsukishiro pointedly.

Tsukishiro stifled a small chuckle and glanced up at Ryuko to make sure she was alright. Once she was sure the Budew was fine she turned to Keyami.
"What a mean tree it is. We'll just have to take all it's Pecha Berries and leave it with lonely, empty branches," she replied, raising her head to pick one of said pecha berries off of the branch.

Keyami nodded, seemingly appeased with this solution. He skittered up into the trees branches, shaking down showers of Pecha berries while muttering under his breath. "Mean old trees! Stupid!" After doing this to every branch he could find, Keyami made his way back down. When he reached the ground, he was met with piles of Pecha berries so tall they nearly touched the leaves of the surrounding trees. "YEEEAAAY!"

Tsukishiro openly laughed at the multitude of Pecha Berries that had fallen from the tree.

"I think we should gather up as many as we can carry and take them back to the Guild. I'm sure the cooks there will be happy with them and make them into a nice tasty dessert."
The Absol turned to Ryuko, "I'm sure if you wanted to, you could stay for some food too!" she smiled, "The Guild loves having guests."
