First Official Exploration! Rescue Budew!

An Absol wandered over to the request board, her red eyes focused on the jobs pinned to it, looking for one that seemed fairly easy and would make a good impression for a first job. One of them caught her eye;


Blinking, she read it and smiled. She hadn't yet been to the Pecha Forest, but she had already heard guild members talk about the abundance of berries that could be found there. Tsukishiro chuckled to herself, I guess that's how it got it's name.
Using one paw, the Absol pinned the paper to the board. With her second front paw, she unhooked the pin from the paper before sticking it back in a corner of the board so that the board updaters could use it later. With some difficulty, she rolled up the job and tucked it neatly into her explorer's bag. Whilst she was there, she checked that she had her explorer's badge, wonder map and the Reviver Seed that she had found whilst travelling to Grassveil with Izumi. Just in case, she was wearing the Defense Scarf from the same journey and was keeping a Pecha Scarf spare in the bag at the same time.
Tsukishiro sighed as she realised she'd forgotten the silver thorn's she had been hoping to take with her.
"Oh well, I'll use them next time," she muttered to herself. The young explorer was far to eager to get going to double back to grab a few thorns. Grinning to herself, she cheerfully wandered up the short flight of stairs and out of the Guild building, heading towards Pecha Forest.


It didn't take long for Tsukishiro to reach the forest as it was pretty close to the edge of Grassveil. She stood at it's entrance, a determined look on her face.
"Alright then! Here I come!" she grinned, chuckling as she took her first steps into the forest.

Shiro made good progress through the forest, humming to herself to give her a tune to walk with. A rustle soon caught her attention and she froze, turning back to see what the source of the rustling was.

"Annoyingly Intelligent Dude, he's a real drag. Get's really worked up about things." Keyami continued shaking his head. He paused after hearing Tsukishiro's comment on his acronyms. "In fact I am~ I quite love the acronyms! It gives everyone character~ Plus it makes you a whole lot easier to remember. And it also helps me remember if I feel like dealing with you at that time." He smiled far too brightly for such a rude comment.

"Ahh," smiled Tsukishiro, "I bet this Annoyingly Intelligent Dude isn't that bad though."
She paused to let Keyami explain why he used acronyms and she nodded, "I ca see why it's easier. There are just so many names in the world that it's probably easier to keep track of them by their personality or traits rather than their name," she replied, finding the technique useful, though she would probably never use it.
"So what type of Pokemon is this Annoyingly Intelligent Dude?"

Keyami was about to launch into a rant of epic proportions about the Riolu when he spotted something on the forest floor. He bent down to get a better look at it before turning back to Tsukishiro. "Heeeey look what you found!~" He pointed to the item. "It's a STICK! TWO OF EM!" Keyami cheered brightly, bouncing all around before kneeling and picking up the sticks. He raised them over his head and offered them to Tsukishiro, swaying like a flower in the breeze the entire time.

Tsukishiro laughed at the sticks. They were brown... and kind of thin, though the tips of them seemed pointed enough to do at least a little damage to an opponent.
"Why thankyou Keyami," she grinned, "I'll accept these sticks as a gift, as technically you're the one who found them. They might come in useful if we get into a fight.... though it's kind of peaceful around here."

Of course, as soon as the words left Tsukishiro's mouth, two Pokemon burst forth from the underbrush. Keyami shook his head disapprovingly at the Absol. "Now look what you've done." He sighed. "You've jinxed us!" And with that he actually turned his attention to the danger. That was a first!

Tsukishiro laughed nervously, "I guess I should have thought before I spoke... Oh well. Perhaps we can ask them for help. They might have seen Budew."

Just as the Absol said those words, the Pidgey before them hopped into the air, blowing a large gust of wind towards Shiro and Keyami using it's wings.
"So much for that idea..."
Tsukishiro used Quick Attack, leaping up into the air to tackle the bird Pokemon.

Keyami launched himself at the Sunkern with a Fake Out attack. The force of the attack forced it backwards. However, it seemed it wasn't giving up so easy. With the loudest battle cry the little grass Pokemon could manage a small glimmering ball of green flew towards Keyami. An absorb attack. Keyami screeched violently and dodged to the ground, all the while shouting "HIT THE DECK!"

"Wait, what?" blinked Tsukishiro, before seeing the ball of green energy come towards her. SHe immediately ducked, the Pidgey getting hit with it's friends attack as it dived in with a Peck move.
The bird glared at the grass type, unhappy with the turn of events. Shiro used Quick Attack once again whilst the Pidgey's guard was down, the white trail extendig out behind her as she swiftly leaped up and tackled the Pidgey to the ground.

Keyami quickly leaped to his feet, running up behind the Sunkern and using Bite on it. It let out a loud squeal and shook itself violently in a futile attempt to release itself from Keyami's jaws. After a moment Keyami let go and dashed backwards, narrowing his eyes at the Pokemon. It let out a loud cry, sniffled, and then wiggled off into the underbrush. Keyami looked at the spot where it used to be curiously.

The Pidgey was now the only one of the two left. It struggled and flapped it's wings underneath Tsukishiro's paw.
"Have you see a Budew around here?" she asked it. The Pidgey initially shook it's head, but it did so in such a hurried manner that Shiro didn't entirely believe it.
"Are you sure?" she asked again, the Pidgey carried on shaking it's head, as if it wasn't entirely concentrating.
The Absol sighed, "If you'd just point me in the right direction I'll let you go... I don't want to hurt you."
The bird Pokemon blinked and it's wingflaps slowly but surely came to a stop. It calmed itself down, pointing further into the Pecha Forest.

"Alright," smiled Shiro, "Thankyou Mr. Pidgey!"
With that, she bounded off again, heading in the direction that the Pidgey had pointed in.

Keyami nodded to the Pidgey as he walked past it. It glared at the Meowth and attempted to straighten out its very bedraggled feathers. Keyami caught up to Tsukishiro and fell into step beside her. "Off to find the Budewww!~" He crowed, tail whipping up a storm as he pointed ahead. In the wrong direction. Well, at least he tried.

And then he found a Pecha Berry on the ground in front of Tsukishiro. "AAAH PBIT LOOK AT WHAT THE GODS OF SENT YOU. LOOK AT THAT ARCEUS SENT WONDER. LOOOOK AT EEET" Keyami kneeled down and waved his arms like henry in very spastic motions towards it.

Tsukishiro stopped in her tracks and just blinked at Keyami's reaction to the berry. They were in the Pecha Forest after all so it was really no surprise that they would find a few Pecha Berries here and there.

"Uhm... do you like Pecha Berries then Keyami?" she asked, tilting her head to the side just ever so slightly.

Keyami fixed her with a look that said 'of course you imbecile I worship these things what does it look like.' He then gazed lovingly at the berries before glancing back to Tsukishiro. Berries. Tsukishiro. After a moment he sighed dramatically and scooped up the berries, handing them over to Tsukishiro. "They are rightfully yours." He figured that since she had almost stepped on them it had been her discovery.

The Absol smiled at the Meowth. "It's fine, you can keep them. I have a Pecha scarf in my bag for if I want to protect myself from poison. The only benefit i'll be getting is the taste. You'll likely find more use for them."
Tsukishiro grinned before pushing the berries back towards Keyami, "Don't eat them all at once though. They'll taste better if you spread them out over a period of time."

Keyami looked at Tsukishiro as if she was a great goddess. You could practically see his eyes grow huge and hear the hallelujah music playing in the background. He quickly threw the berries in his pouch before tackle hugging the Absol. "PBIT YOU'RE THE BEST!~" He rubbed his face against her shoulder whilst making various cooing noises.
