| » Name: Vixey » Gender: Female » Species: Vulpix #037 The Fox Pokemon » Affiliation/Rank: Wanderer » Why do you want to adopt them?: Simply put, they seem like they’d be a lot of fun to roleplay! Vixey’s personality, while a tad bit barebones, does allow for a rather unique character compared to my other three. Alki’s very self-deprecating, and doesn’t see her own qualities. While she cares for people, she doesn’t think she’s a good person, or good for anything. Darcy’s much more healthy, but while she does have a solid appreciation for her own strengths and weaknesses, she’s a generally humble, down to earth person. Saido’s very doubtful as to his own abilities, while he tries to present himself as confident, he’s very much in doubt as to whether he’s a good person, or good enough to live up to his aspirations. Vixey is none of the above. Her personality, while a bit of a blank slate in its current form tells me three things. She’s arrogant, yet kind. She’s neurotic, and easily angered. She views herself as fabulous. These are all qualities that none of my characters possess, and Vixey presents them all in a neat, little package. These could be construed as flaws, mostly due to an excess of pride, but they’re the kind of flaws that seem like a blast to roleplay. » Sample of roleplay: “Hullo!” Vixey said breezily, bounding over to a Ivysaur, kneeling in an alleyway. In his hand he held a small book, muttering frustrations to himself. Maybe she could help! She was new to town, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t find a way to help! The Vulpix stopped beside him, peering over his shoulder. The book seemed to be dirtied, and the Ivysaur froze up, turning to face her, scrambling backwards, a few paces away. “Do you need any help?” “No.” The Ivysaur replied plainly, glaring at her. Vixey bit her lip, before stepping forward, trying again. “Are you sure?” The Vulpix’s ears flattened as she hummed. Her inquiry was to no avail, however. The Ivysaur was still giving her a death glare, and Vixey wasn’t quite sure what, exactly, she’d done so wrong. She was just trying to be kind! Honestly, it was kind of annoying her. “Yes.” The Ivysaur replied once more, turning down to look at his book. “Can you leave me alone now?” The boy exhaled, turning to walk away, cradling the book in his arm. “You don’t have to be an ass about it, you know!” The Vulpix cried out, eyes narrowed as she glared at the boy. It was one thing to turn her down, that was alright. But why do it like this? Why be so rude about it? The Vulpix’ ears flattened as she glared at the walking cabbage. “A simple No, thank you would’ve been enough!” “You really want to help?” The Ivysaur said, turning to face the Vulpix. His eyes, in turn, were narrowed. Little asshole. “Give me your money. I need some.” “So. You’re robbing me? That’s how it’s gonna be?” “Well, aren’t you clever,” The Ivysaur smirked up at Vixey, the Vulpix narrowed her gaze, staring down at the grass type. He smirked up at her. He was insufferable. What on earth made him think this would be a good idea? At all? She was bigger than him, stronger than him, and clearly smarter than him too. The Vulpix smiled back down at him, seating herself in front of him. He was a grass type. He was just being stupid. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Vixey asked, tilting her head as she shot the Ivysaur a smile. One last chance. The Ivysaur smiled back. Before she knew it, Vixey felt a harsh, painful swipe at her paws, the Ivysaur’s vines sweeping her off her feet. An ember she’d prepared died in her throat, as Vixey’s jaw hit the ground as she fell. The Vulpix began to clamber back to her paws, but stopped. Two vines pressed against her side, keeping her down. Hostile, but not cruel. “Asshole.” She said instead, glaring up at the Ivysaur. He smirked down at her, before plucking the bag off of her shoulder. She hated losing. But her paws and jaw already hurt like hell, and even she could tell there was no sense in fighting this battle. She had type advantage. But he was actually strong. And she wasn’t. At least, not yet. “You’re new to Grima, aren’t you?” The Ivysaur asked, as he stood with her bag, a few paces away. Well. There went all her money. “What do you care?” She spat. “Don’t go picking fights you can’t win. Especially not in Grima. Keep your head down. You act up towards the wrong people, like you did with me, you could get yourself killed.” Vixey remained on the ground, watching as the Ivysaur ambled off without another word. The Vulpix turned his words over in her head, before picking herself back up. Maybe he was right. Maybe she shouldn’t be as much of a loud mouth as she was. But at the same time… She couldn’t help it! Not if everyone was going to be that much of a prick!
