Thread Hunt!

'ello! I'm Venus, and I just finished my first character, Robin. I'm trying to get some threads for her going so I can get started. If you think she might have an interesting dynamic with one of your characters, just let me know and we can hash something out~

Potential ideas:
- Robin's a Windrose Scout, so I can justify her going into any mystery dungeon (that she's capable of entering) for the purpose of writing a report. She also, well, tends to go along with what other people want, so it would also be easy to justify her tagging along for a guild mission.
- I'm especially interested in doing some of the Windrose Rumours! I already have an idea for the Shadowhue one, #2, but if you have inspiration for rumours #1 or #5, she's also capable of entering those dungeons.
- If you happen to have an outlaw character, I'm alright with her getting robbed. Punch the Vulpix. It probably won't give her any more trauma.
- Robin also tends to cope with her stress through indulging in violence and destruction in mystery dungeons. If someone caught her raising havoc, it would be a quick way to get a glimpse at the 'real' Robin, which could lead to some interesting places and dynamics.
- She tends to 'reflect' other characters, and echo their thoughts and opinions - someone perceptive enough to realize she isn't being genuine may lead to some interesting places.
- Halloween threads! I can help you sneak in a few last pieces of candy before the event ends.

Those are just potential ideas that were floating around my head! If you had thread ideas of your own, feel free to give me a shout. ^^

Hello it me i have several characters to throw at ur faic

Mirage the Zoroark - Reformed outlaw still in hiding from the law who may or may not have had children with a very successful explorer. Local Mom who's still trying to figure out how to do the Mom thing and would absolutely have the instinct to mom lost children who may or may not have similarities with her.

Chance the Zorua - Mirage's kid and wannabe outlaw who doesn't quite understand the true nature of being an outlaw. He loves to make friends and loves blackmail material, even if it's against his friends. He's a dumbass, but he's a good kid at heart. Would absolutely love to have a yes-man around and potentially threaten telling everyone how fake she is if he saw her 'true self' for the fun of it only to feel guilty later.

Notice: Chance has DID. His alter, who is currently being referred to as "Kiba" for a lack of a name, is very defensive/protective over Chance and can be extremely abusive/murder-y when things aren't "perfect" for Chance. Extreme stress currently is the only thing to draw him out so it's unlikely unless things go very south, but I figured it should be best to warn you if that's not the type of stuff you want to interact with.

Aries the Skiddo - A constantly-frightened teen that's had some seriously bad stuff happen to him in the past. He's constantly on edge and terrified of things happening to him, but he's a nice kid who loves to give whatever he can to his friends. He's terrified of even leaving the house, but it wouldn't be farfetch'd for him to leave to go shopping, get lost, and be driven into a dungeon or get caught up in some trick-or-treating event.

Yera the Deerling - Employee of Aries and also a constantly-frightened teen, she's not quite on the level of Aries, but she's very friendly albeit a bit shy. She's absolutely terrified of dungeons, but she'd love to do a halloween activity or two~

I have more, but these are currently my most active candidates. If you wanna ask about any others feel free to!

ooo, I think she could have a really interesting relationship with Chance, I love your idea for them. She would make the perfect minion to his not-exactly-evil-schemes. Maybe that could lead into her interacting with Mirage, someday, I'm very fond of how their backstories ending up paralleling each other. But for now, I think developing her relationship with Chance would be a ton of fun~ Maybe they meet when Chance gets in a bit of trouble and Robin bails him out?

(I'm also alright with Robin interacting with Kiba if he happens to pop up~ That is going nowhere healthy for her and I did say I'm not going to cut her any breaks.)

I'd be alright with sticking around Grassveil! Maybe I'd be able to snag a Halloween prize or two if we're quick~

Also, fair warning, I have some issues with sporadic activity. I'm pretty bad about not posting daily and don't have much free time, but when I do post I can go through a page in a day pretty easily. That was my main concern with responding here, but you have a wonderful character so I figured I'd give you the offer just in case you were interested despite that.

Anywho, I have 14 eevees specifically, and also a zorua and a buneary and a honedge. But I think you'd like some of the eevees. For instance, Emmelyn - she's very timid and kind, but also a verified genius and very perceptive. Not only would she be a candidate to see Robin's true self and not judge her for it, but bonus points: she's going to evolve into a glaceon like her dad. Also, she's Chance's sister.

And being Chance's sister, she comes with a little health hazard warning of her own. Very unlikely to come up for some time, but she has the same issues as him except worse. They just haven't been given a reason to show up yet.

Also she's shiny or something and I feel like that's for some reason worth mentioning.

Next up is Sova; you got the run-down of the mother, so why not the father? Happens to be a glaceon and the source of the children's issues because boy he has some spicy genetics. Sova himself is pretty stoic most of the time, not very social or nice but very quick to defend others. He has two alters - Senya, extremely aggressive and manic, also believing he was made to be a weapon and usually only coming out in aggression-warranted situations; and Lu, who's... complicated, but very nice. Sova happens to be pretty well-known for his feats like fighting a god... or four... and he has a decent guild team sorta. I guess fighting Mewtwo and not dying makes you famous. He's also the site's highest-level character at 96, because I have a problem and desperately need to stop.

But the train never stops. It trudges onward, into the abyss... of thE NEXT CHARACTER-

Krikka, an umbreon and a punk teenager with an extreme case of narcissism. She gladly bullies her friends and manipulates everyone around her as much as she can. You could say she puts on a mask like Robin, although hers is generally used with far worse intent. She has empathy for others, but a very strained sense of it, and her overwhelming selfish impulses usually win out over any compassionate desires. She's pretty smart too and used to the exact same kind of social engineering Robin does, so she's probably my most likely character to quickly catch onto her act. Plus, she could actually grow attached to someone so similar to her in that way. Only problem is she's what is known as a "bad guy" and has a gang and they like to do gang-related activities like idk beat people up for lunch money.

She might beat her up for lunch money is all I'm saying. But then I bet Robin and Krikka could be great friends and Krikka could be a terrible influence. Y'know. After the beating and the lunch money is all sorted out. As for long-term goals, she aims to upgrade from stealing lunch money to running a mafia in Rainfront, and she can have that as soon as I get around to making the IO for it.

And she's shiny too.

Another option if you want something extra spicey would be Sy'rin. A vaporeon who's super nice and social and isn't very judgmental unless you're just a boring stiff, but she's also a crazy person who likes to do murdery violence. So that's understandably a problem with holding onto relationships. She's like if Bob Ross were a serial killer. Y'know, normal stuff. Anyway if you want to give your character a rollercoaster of a friendship complete with really high highs and really horror-movie-y lows, I present you the fish. Who happens to be shiny too. I have a lot of those.

Speaking of fish, there's Skylar, my other vaporeon. She's a teammate of Sova's and generally very warm and kind to others. She can get pretty irritable especially since she miiiight have just a little of what we 'round these parts call Space Rabies, but she's very good-hearted and very useful in a pinch. Also, she has not only Hail, but Rain Dance and Sunny Day as well, and she's not exactly stupid even if she's not usually as perceptive as some of my other characters; if she noticed Robin was bothered by that ability of hers, Sky could easily help with that by canceling out her weather.

Then there's Ivirar, still an eevee but planned to be a leafeon so like I guess that's a problem with a hailbot but y'know. She's Krikka's sister which is cool or something probably. She acts a lot like if Krikka were younger and more naive and also a biblethumping idiot who got all Dad's attention. She has a better heart than Krikka, but the potential for the same kind of self-serving attitude, even though she tries not to be like that. Being a brat kind of comes naturally to her, and she has some very strong beliefs about Our Lord and Savior Arceus. She also has the Dimensional Scream but no besties to use it with, so y'know.

Oh, and she's a PROPHET OF GOD. Like. Literally. Gods talk easier to someone with the Dimensional Scream here so she got picked to be a prophet of the cool one for an event and I'm sure she's very full of herself over that now and she'll be absolutely sad when this goddamn event ends and she stops getting emails from Arceus.

But as I said, I have 17 characters and not enough post room to go over all of them, so feel free to stalk my records for any others you might be interested in.

first off: holy crap, that is so many eevees, I am in awe of your power. I'm not too worried about daily posts, so no problem on that front. I wanted to give it some thought because man, your characters are very well thought out. I wanted to read a bit about them and do some thinking of my own on how Robin might click with them.

Since she's going to have a bit of a relationship with Chance, I'm drawn to developing a relationship with her and Emmelyn, too. I checked out her bio, and they've definitely got some similarities (read: similarly terrible life skills) that could lead to a friendship. Maybe not the world's healthiest friendship, since Robin is absolutely going to cling to people who see her true self and are alright with it. Not to mention how neither of them are exactly good at boundaries, and it's not at all unlikely that she would stick by Emmelyn even when her mental health issues start to rear up.

That could end up turning complicated and possibly very bad, is what I'm saying, and I'm here for it.

Aiga also caught my eye (and broke my heart, but that was every second character of yours, whoops, I'm soft). Robin would be perceptive enough to glean what she's after, namely people to play into her hero fantasy. She wouldn't bite back against any potential rudeness on Aiga's part, and honestly, if she ever learned more about her old life, she would start to sympathize and relate to her quite a lot, so perhaps that surface-level friendship could turn into something deeper. Maybe even enough to start being her genuine self around her.

I started thinking about how on the surface their histories are polar opposites, as a scapegoat and sort-of-royalty, but both their situations stemmed from the people around them not viewing them as human, so I think they'd be able to relate to each other. Kids permanently scarred from their terrible villages stick together, and all that.

Krikka makes me think, too, she's fun and that relationship would be downright fascinating. I think Robin has just enough of a moral compass for Krikka's sadistic streak to drive her off in the end, but seeing so much of herself in Krikka would be bad for her. Real bad. They've got the same manipulative traits, heck, Robin even has the potential to develop a sadistic streak of her own, since her only real coping mechanism for negative emotions is to raise hell.

But yeah, give me a shout if any of that sounds interesting to you, or you'd like to develop anything more!

Eyyyy I'm the resident fighting game nerd and shitposter but I'm decent at posting I guess. I love Robin she's epic and I'd love to do a thread with her! As far as characters go, I only have two. One is a very Naive and very nice Skitty who's probably perceptive enough to notice how eager Robin is to agree with pretty much everything she says. She's good company, though, and dislikes confrontations of any sort, so she might want to help Robin without directly confronting her about this.

Alki is soon-to-be an Outlaw character, she's a very young kid with similar issues as Robin in terms of fitting in, and trying to please everyone. She's also a very self-loathing child, but due to outlawish activities and good company, she's slowly starting to come out of her shell. She'd notice a lot of the same flaws in Robin as in herself, and she's socially inept enough to directly call her out on it. She'd definitely want to help Robin be better though. She's an outlaw though, albeit a non-violent one, so she might pickpocket her first / s h o t

Hi Mada! I'd love to get a thread started, I'm glad you like my disaster fox. c: tl;dr: please give her friends who help her with her bullshit, she desperately needs it. Honestly, I think she'd click pretty well with both of them, but I'm especially curious how that confrontation between Robin and Alki would go. I don't have much for her to pickpocket yet, can I bribe you with some blast seeds and pecha berries?

Was there anywhere you might like to explore? I can pick up one of the Windrose rumours for Pecha Forest or Cattail Marsh, or I can dunk her into any dungeons that are 15 energy or below.

I did a little snooping and I think there's Joy Ribbons in Coral Forest, which I would also be very interested in picking up, aha.

I'm fine wherever you want to go! Either Pecha Forest or Corral Forest sounds good to me though! I've never been to Coral Forest but if you'd prefer to do windrose rumours in one of those other dungeons, it's totally fine by me!

Hi it is Badger everyone's favourite resident mustelidae (victory by default is still a victory). I'm here to take your last thread slot because unlike these other nerds I really haven't been posting enough and was kinda dead for a little while there and really I just gotta get back into this. Also I usually don't do threads with brand new people because they don't always stick around for very long, but you seem invested so I'm gonna let my guard down.

I have three characters I'm interested in doing threads with three of my four characters.

Rex is my second original character. He's an onix who exists only to break things and cause problems. He's basically the Goose from Untitled Goose Game but instead of a goose he's an giant angry rock snake, that can do things a giant angry rock snake could do. He's not just a lumbering brute though, he's smart and will act provocatively in an attempt to bring the worst out of others.

On the other hand, I have my two adopted children, Maxie the Mawile and Mocha the Zangoose. These two both came from way out of the way boring little villages, learned about heroic and adventurous stories from travelers, and became enamored with the idea. Maxie seeks adventure, Mocha seeks heroics, and both seek treasure and discovery. Maxie's part of the Grassveil Guild while Mocha is currently hesitant to join any organisation at the moment.

While their origins are similar and they get along well together, they do have varying opinions on various subjects. Maybe together in a chat with Robin they might make it hard for her to maintain her facade?

All my characters have higher Energy than Robin so anywhere she can go they can go.

I'm thinking on how Robin and Rex might click - either Robin gets hit with a rock type move and breaks down, or he catches her on an especially bad day and they both wreck havoc, I think, aha. Either route might be fun.

As for Maxie and Mocha, I think they'd click pretty well, and I'm always up for threats to Robin's facade. If you wanted to explore with them, I'd be interested in Ancient Island, since the setting is neat and it hadn't been explored much yet to boot. c: Maybe Robin showed up to get samples of rare flowers and plants for Windrose and ended up getting kidnapped by a hostile tribe or something, pfft. That seems like the kind of mess she would get herself into.

But yeah, just give me a shout! I think we could do some fun stuff with them. ^^
