After a string of encounters and adventures, including a most unusual one in Grassveil's town centre, Opal made her way to the headquarters of the local guild. She intended to join its ranks and become part of an exploration team, maybe even start one of her own. During her conversation, the young growlithe had been thinking about how amazing it would be to help people while going on adventures. You got to see new places, meet new faces and make new friends. All of this was very exciting to little Opal. She was already thinking about what kinds of missions she'd like to take on as she walked through the entrance.
Though she was alone when she arrived in town, the Growlithe had made a lot of new friends. One of them, a Spinda, was with her now. They'd met in Pecha Forest, her feasting on berries while he was running around lost. Some of the locals tried to mug them, but teamwork prevailed and the pair made it out safe. It made for quite an eventful day, and making their alliance formal was something that appealed to the both of them. Thus, it was off to the guild the next morning after spending the night in a hotel.
A pleasant foyer greeted the pup, but it wasn't what she was looking for. She glanced at the portraits hanging on the walls before continuing on down the short set of stairs. She saw busy pokemon going about their business, groups huddled in quiet discussion, more groups looking at something on the walls she'd just come through. Now this was more like it! Here was clearly what the fiery canine had been seeking. There was just one problem: she didn't know who to talk to in order to become a guild member.
Opal looked around, scanning everyone there, trying to find someone who looked important. Maybe whoever ran things was in fact present, and she simply hadn't noticed? She'd got directions to the guild, but hadn't thought to ask about the guildmaster or their staff. Anyone who paid attention to the growlithe would see that she appeared lost. She was taking in her surroundings, but had no idea what to do now she'd finally arrived. All she could do was look to Cimche and hope that he had an idea.

| "Oh, yes, the name! We already decided on that! We're going to be Team Spinel!" Opal declared proudly, "It's a gemstone, like I'm named after, except a different one, plus it's red sometimes, and it sounds like 'spiral'. Quite fitting, don't you think?"
The Growlithe was clearly pleased with the name she and Cimche had agreed on. It sounded nice and covered both of them, she thought. That would make a good impression on pokemon they introduced themselves to, right?
Thinking about the different species of pokemon they'd be working with finally prompted a question from the excitable fire type. "I don't know that many kinds of pokemon," she admitted, then added with a touch of embarrassment, "I don't even know which one you are. Do you have a book I could read to learn about them?"

| Cimche looked over to Opal as she addressed the point that she didn't know that many Pokémon "I don't either but that's the fun of exploration, the mystery of it all." He said with a big smile on his face.
Standing on the chair in a heroic pose, he continued. "Just imagine it, meeting all the Pokémon, good or evil. Having a invigorating conversation about how different we all, or as you are punching your enemy in the face, you ask them who you are... because you forgot to ask them before you started fighting, but you where in the heat of things so that shouldn't have mattered, so you proceed to punch him in the face again before he could tell you. And... stuff, I don't know I lost track of the point I was making." Finishing he sat back down, swaying his legs under the seat.
"Though I guess It would be nice to be informed on the types of Pokémon out there. Though I guess we know most of them right?" He said as he named them in his head.

| "Ah, I see," the Meganium closed her eyes and nodded as Opal mentioned the name the two had been discussing. It was nice of them to have had the chance to talk about it beforehand and come up with reasons for it, as many overexcited Pokémon came in the Guild with no clue that they even needed a team name. It did seem like the two knew what they wanted and had made their decision – and seemed to have done enough research to not have any immediate questions. Other than, well, being young and not knowing absolutely everything the world had to offer.
Faye smiled, her eyes flicking from the Growlithe to the Spinda, who seemed to be a bit more confused about things in his own way. It did seem like the two Pokémon could help each other to help others. A vine slithered from behind the Guildmaster's neck flower, reaching out to a certain, small book on the shelf behind her, which was then placed in front of Opal. It wasn't the largest of tomes with the most information, but it did have the basics of Pokémon. "If you'd like, you could borrow this, sweetie. Now," the Meganium turned to the larger book she had placed on the desk earlier, browsing through its pages to get to the first one that was empty. She grabbed a quill pen from its little holder waiting for her on top of the desk.
"As I said, the actual sign-up process is nothing more complicated than me writing your names here and registering your Team in this Guild. Of course, if you do come to other thoughts later on, it won't be an issue. But… It seems like the two of you have made up your mind?"

| "Wow! Thanks!"
Opal looked at the book that was placed in front of her with interest. She wanted to start reading it right now, but they didn't appear to be done yet with the formalities. The Growlithe looked up again as Faye continued speaking.
"Made up our minds? On joining the guild or the team name? I'm happy with both."
It was her partner who had brought up the point of team names beforehand. Had Opal approached on her own, she would have come up with one, but been surprised. Cimche might appear to be an oddball, but she agreed they made a good team. The strengths of one covered the weaknesses of the other. That was what she understood after their venture through Pecha Forest.

| "Yep, I'm ready." He said as he addressed Faye. Things where going quicker than Cimche was expecting, to some extent. He was kinda expecting a initiation or something before they could even join the guild, but it seemed like they where already registering to become part of the guild as a... Freshman? What would they be called, new recruits? or probably class F, cuz the missions an all. He didn't bother addressing it as he turned his focus to the open book. | |

| With a nod, Faye dipped the quill pen into a small bottle of ink and pressed the tip onto the pages, gently scratching both the name of the team and its current members into the book. Once that was done, she left the book open for the ink to dry and looked at the two Pokémon in front of her. "You two are now a part of Grassveil Guild. There's still something else I need to give you," the Meganium spoke, walking away from the desk to a corner closet, which she opened – though her large body was in the way and didn't really give a chance for anyone to see what was inside.
Another vine slithered from the flower, helping the Pokémon to pack a badge and a map into little bags for the new explorers. But once that was said and done, her eyes scanned her box of many colorful ribbons, looking for suitable colors… Ah. Yes. That should do it…
Faye turned around and closed the closet's door behind her, walking to the pair while holding out a new bag for each of them, which she then handed over. "Here we go. Exploring requires lots of supplies, so you two should fine some use for these, sweeties. I put a map and the badges that mark you as a member of this Guild into them already – and a little extra gift for both of you, from me."

| Opal disappeared into her bag, almost literally. She dove in head first and could be heard sniffing around with great enthusiasm. After a couple of moments, she backed up, holding a beautiful red ribbon in her mouth. She placed it in front of her and looked to the other two pokemon in the room.
"A red ribbon? It looks really pretty!" the Growlithe exclaimed, "You must have got one as well, Cimche. What colour's yours?"
Opal didn't know if the ribbons were meant to serve a purpose, but she was pleased that it had been included. She would treasure the object as a memento of this grand occasion. The fiery pup was now an official member of Grassveil's guild! She intended to do everyone proud as a representative, completing missions and spreading joy.

| Looking through the bag he pulled out an Identical ribbon. He paused for a second before looking over to Opal, waving thee ribbon over his head as he smiled over at her. "Hey, we got the same color. Matchies!" He said, looking at it closely as he continued to examine it.
soon enough he broke out of his examination, looking over to Faye. "Thank you for the stuff Faye." He said, bowing his head to Faye. Well it seemed that the road was set for him, he was now officially part of the guild now along with Opal. The path may become wobbly sometimes, but he was ready for it, and literally built for it.

| Faye watched as the two young Pokémon checked out the contents of their bags in their excitement, smiling and chuckling softly. She gave a little nod to the Spinda as he thanked her for the gifts. "Don't mention is, dearie. Now, I should assign you a room you can call your own and then you're free to use your time how you'd like. There should be dinner served soon,"[/b] the Meganium spoke as she started to walk towards the door, her pace relaxed. "Unless there was something else you had in your mind?" | |

| "It'll be like having our own little headquarters," Opal laughed, "I'm so excited! I can't wait to get started!"
The young pup was as bouncy as ever. Everything was so nice here. Joining the guild had definitely been the right decision. She wouldn't have to hunt for food or fight over territory. Instead, she could focus on making friends and helping others. What a wonderful time she was going to have! Thinking about this made Opal feel so happy. A huge smile was on her face as she returned her ribbon to the bag for now.

| Getting out of his seat he kept his gaze on Faye as she made her way to the door. "Nah I think we're good, actually would we be able to start a mission right away?" Cimche said as he addressed Faye's question. Looking over to Opal he smiled to her, sharing her excitement. "I'm kinda wondering what our first order of business would be?"
The thought of food made him wonder If they had any sweet treats to serve there, He would definetly like to go for a piece of candy about now.

| Faye kept an eye on her feet to make sure she didn't accidentally squish one of the smaller Pokémon, a gentle smile on her lips. She walked out of the room with a relaxed pace, making sure that the newest team in Grassveil Guild was still following her and didn't get lost. Luckily the hallways had gotten quieter now, most Pokémon gravitating towards dinner. Some murmurs of speech could still be heard, so it wasn't a complete ghost town.
"Well, you could, yes. All you have to do is seek out the request board and take a mission that sounds like one you could do and doesn't outrank you, sweeties," the Meganium replied to the question as she continued to lead the team down the hall, taking a few turns around the corners. Many doors lined the walls, all seemingly identical, but Faye still stopped in front of one of them. "Now, the rooms are quite empty, but you can of course decorate them as you wish. Many teams only really use theirs for sleeping, but it is your own little space for you to do what makes you comfortable," she spoke as a vine slithered from her flower to open the door.
Indeed, the room was empty, except for some bedding material to make into comfortable little nests.

| Looking into the room he walked in, spinning as he looked around for anything. But it seemed that the only thing in the room where the bed material. "Well, talk about a blank canvas. Well I guess we could always paint this room with memories. I'm able to store things in here, right?" He said, asking Faye another question.
This was kind of new for him, he had never shared a room with another person besides his parents, let alone a girl, it hadn't slipped his mind until they where presented with the room. He didn't worry too much though, thinking about other things as he distracted himself from the thought.

| The idea of sharing a room didn't bother Opal in the slightest. She'd grown up with her littermates and loved friendly company. There might not be much to their new room at the moment, but the bedding material looked comfortable, and she agreed with what Cimche had just said.
"Hey, that's a great idea!" the Growlithe happily barked in reply, "Memories would really make this space personal, you know? I'm looking forward to collecting things to decorate with!"
While her teammate asked his question, Opal marched into the room and started working on building herself a nest.

| "Of course, sweetie," Faye nodded to the Spinda's question – that was one of the perks of having one's own little space, after all. Being able to keep things in there. The new team already seemed quite excited to get started and she was becoming rather unnecessary, so the Meganium waited for a moment in the doorway before speaking up. "Now, unless you need me, I should be heading back to my room," she started – after all, even though signing up was a very simple process for the teams, there was a bit more she had to do to make it official as the Guildmaster, "Don't be afraid to ask the other teams for guidance, dearies. We all help each other here, after all. A tour would help you get your bearings – and you know where to find me, if you need me."
((Unless you need Faye, feel free to have her leave and continue the thread however you two wish!))
