Saku vs Jay - Randomised Contest Battle

Rules;
1. Must use the first(or agreed number of[In this case; 3]) Pokemon to come up on the randomiser
2. Can use the whole level up movepool of that Pokemon, plus 1 egg/tm/tutor move
3. One ability, normal or dream world can be chosen
4. No legendaries
5. No godmodding/powerplaying
6. Must nickname the Pokemon used (Just because I think it'll be funny xD)
7. Screencap of Pokemon should be placed in a spoiler in your first In Character post.

Contest Rules;
1. A unbiased judge must be used to calculate and judge how many points are lost for each move in the battle rounds.

Sakura grimaced as Jay seemed to counter every move she attempted at. She couldn't do physical, there was no special she could do. Her pokemon couldn't even get past the ground...Maybe she should give up...No. She had to do it for her pokemon. Her friends. She gave herself a mental slap and was ready to face Jay.

"Nini! Grab Draco, and then use Agility!" she told the bug type pokemon.

Nini grabbed Draco, who was flailing around on the ice, and together they went dashing around the stage.

Sakura grinned Draco looked like he was ice skating with Nini pulling him around. Then her face got serious. The speed which Nini was going, it was to easy for her to go out of control. Then she got an idea.

"Draco, Twister! Nini, Shadow Ball!"

The tornado formed again, to be joined by Darkness, and Sand. The ice broke off a bit and joined with the tornado, causing it to gleam and shimmer. The musical notes flew in and out of the tornado, full of dark mist, darkness, sand and ice.

"Nini, go with Draco around the twister with agility! Draco, Dragon claw the ground!"

Nini circled around the twister, making it faster. But this time, she could break away. And Draco was making the ice break off to be consumed by the twister, and giving it extra power and aura. The duo then broke off and skated away, while the twister headed for Jay.

Despite being partially clawed up by Draco's Dragon Claw, the ice was still too thick to reveal the ground beneath.

"Ice Beam, Daryl! Freeze the Twister in place! Melody, use Sing!"
With another quick movement, the Samurott was directing a beam of ice towards the combination of Twister, Sing and Haze. He worked from the ground upwards, freezing it in it's tracks. The dragon type power making it easier to freeze due to it's severe weakness to ice.

Whilst Daryl was freezing the attack, Melody had begun singing again. The notes were now all over the arena, making it harder and harder to dodge the attack.

"Now, combine Round's power with Astonish!"
It was an odd combination, and even the crowd seemed to think so as they gasped at Jay's daring, wondering how she would pull it off. Melody continued to sing, but this time it was more of a melody rather than a lullaby and the notes were much faster. They swiftly surrounded Draco; the slower of the two. Melody then switched to Astonish. With one powerful and short screech, the notes next to Draco exploded, damaging him with their aftermath. The Astonish also exploded the now frozen Twister-Sing-Haze combination as well as the latest Sing move, scattering sleep inducing glitter and tiny ice shards across the arena.

With Safeguard still there to protect them, Daryl and Melody were more than safe from the glitter and the shards that accompanied it. The pale green barrier flashed in and out of existence with every shard that touched it, preventing either of Jay's Pokemon from falling asleep. The multi-coloured remnants of the notes continued to fall even as the Safeguard began to weaken and so Jay called for Melody to use it again.

Instead of the neat display from before, Melody merely raised her wings, calling out "Swabluuu!" and summoning another barrier. However, the pale green light seemed to come from inside of her, rather than the air around her. Small rays of light appeared to be emitted from the Swablu's body before extending outwards and visibly strengthening the barrier that was already there.

Ripple let out various astounded gasps and made many dramatic gestures as the battle continued.

"What odd move combinations by both coordinators! A daring and simply beautiful combination on Jay's part, and a stunning and dangerous combination on Sakura's! As the battle continues, the coordinators only become more graceful!" Ripple exclaimed these things loudly and expressively into the microphone. Her excitement and enthusiasm bled into the audience as they too became pumped up about the outcome of this contest.

Now for the point totaling. This round truly stumped Ripple. After the longest moment she could allow herself, the MC entered in the points.

"Draco!" She cried, worried that her little Dragon-type was hurt badly. Suddenly the Gible started glowing a pale white color. Her eyes shone, Draco was evolving. But she turned her attention to Nini, who was flitting around causeing the tiny dust to move away from her. So far she could keep up, but eventually... Suddenly she almost clapped. Was the answer really that easy? Jay might make it harder but...

"Nini! Do it like twister but without it, AGILITY!"

Nini suddenly started spinning around in a circle, causing the multi-colored dust to blow away from her, and spread out in the crowd. When the removal was about done, she let out a cry of "Ninjask!"

Then Draco finished evolving into a Gabite, and the remaining dust exploded away, leaving the faster, stronger opponent.

"Daryl use Encore!"
Daryl stood on his hind legs and began clapping his paws together. Melody landed gently on Daryl's head before she too began clapping her cloudy wings together, chirruping to each clap. Small confetti rained down on both Nini and Draco and they began to glow with an odd silver light. This light would prevent them from using any move but their last for about five turns. In this case; Agility and Dragon Claw.

It was a fairly smart move on Jay' part. With a Gabite as an opponent instead of a Gible now, she needed to step up her game. Sakura had already stolen one of her tactics for later on in the battle, but she knew it could still work out.

"Alright! Now use Mist!"
Daryl picked up the Swablu in his paws and propelled her into the air. Melody spun as she ascended upwards, generating a large amount of sparkling white mist from her parted beak. The mist seemed to spiral around with her before joining together and raining back down on Jay's team. The mist was easy to see through, but the particles that landed on the fur of Daryl and Melody's feathers would also prevent any stat reductions as well as sparkling and making Daryl and Melody look just as beautiful as Draco and Nini did surrounded in that pale white light.

"Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse! Just like we practiced!"
As Melody descended once more, Daryl dropped back onto all fours and parted his jaws. He began to fire large, powerful beams of water from his mouth, straight towards Draco and Nini. The Swablu flew across the Hydro Pump, flying so low that her tiny grey claws skimmed the water and kicked up a thin spray of water. The spray seemed to make Melody look white for a moment... Before she reached the end of the wide stream of water, the Swablu began spinning again and used Dragon Pulse. The Dragon type power combined with the Hydro Pump created a spinning, high-powered dragon and water combination.

Jay watched as her Swablu skimmed across the Hydro Pump. It had come earlier than she had predicted but already wouldn't have as much effect as she had planned because of Sakura... It was time to finish this.

"Alright Melody! Finish up with Perish Song and Refresh! Don't hold anything back!"
Jay's command seemed cryptic.. but the crowd weren't focused on that. Perish Song!? They probably though she was mad.

Meanwhile, the Swablu nodded and chirruped loudly before she made one loud screech and began to fly up into the air. She was spinning once more, the loud screech leading into an eerie tune, one much different to the ones from Round or Sing. As she spun, black and red notes appeared behind her. The notes drifted down towards the ground, surrounding all three Pokemon left on the field below. It was then that Melody began to glow white. As her wings and neck elongated, her tail split and the feathers on her head grew longer, Melody stopped in mid-air. The notes had finally caught up to her. She too was now surrounded by the black and red notes.

Below on the field, the notes had already faded into nonexistence, leaving their lingering effect behind. Up in the air, the white light had cleared to reveal an Altaria. The Altaria began to glow with a pale green light, equal to that of the Safeguard she had created earlier in the battle. As she drenched her body in the light, the notes around her also glowed green, shattering rather than dissipating at the opposite type of energy.

Melody then flew back down towards the ground, meeting Daryl below where the Samurott congratulated her on her evolution.


Three turns left.

Ripple watched Nini and Draco with interest. She gasped and applauded wildly when the Ninjask cleared the stadium and stood with the roaring crowd as Draco evolved. She took note of the inventive use of agility before flicking her gaze towards Jay to see what she would do.

"Oh my.." Ripple murmured as she observed the Encore attack. She raised her microphone. "Oh dear! Sakura's team will have their work cut out for them if they hope to win this now!" She watched with eager eyes as the Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse combo went out into the stadium, looking quite beautiful as the blues and purples mixed with the shimmering fur/feathers of Jay's Pokemon. " Oh how LOVELY! The shades mix beauuuutifully~ " She gasped along with the crowd as Melody used Perish Song, creating an eerily gorgeous song and image.
"What'll happen next folks!? We only have a few turns until this battle is over, one way or another!"

She thought for a moment. She had to think-She would lose in 3 turns if nothing happened. And worse of all, she was only restricted to 2 moves. Agility and Dragon Claw....she thought worriedly. Dragon Claw and Agility....Could it work? It seemed weird even stupid...but she didn't really have another choice.

"Draco! Restrain your dragon claw, and hit Nini-lightly. Nini, Spin and Agility!"

Draco and Nini looked at their trainer dubiously, but gave in to the command. Draco crossed his claws out in front of them, and they began sharpining, but stopped. A little purple glow surrounded them and a tiny tell tale purple fire signified this was a dragon type attack. Then he hit Nini carefully with the attack.

Nini winced a bit as the attack hit, and then felt a tiny sting. But she ignored it for now and then started spinning. Suddenly she felt the tiny sting move a bit around, until it started for her head. Suddenly she understood as her vision turned purple. She was covered in purple fire, and the spinning helped the tiny spark grow into a decent flame. Then she continued spinning and used agility, zooming her away.

The entire stadium flickered with a violet hue, and the fire left a fading purple trace behind like Nini was a comet, zooming through the stadium. The air shimmered around her and it seemingly grew with every spin.

Sakura knew that Jay would counter it...but what if..
"Nini, if they attack with anything but ice beam, Loop de Loop! If they attack you with ice beam, go up high!" She ordered.

Nini was confused by the trainers command again. Why did she want her to move up higher if there was an ice beam? Cant they just redirect it? Or something. She understood why Sakura wanted her to loop de loop, it would make a nice shimmering trail along as she dodged the bullet. But what's with the other command? She braced herself for Jay's next move.

"Ice Beam Daryl! Freeze the tail! Melody get in there with a Mirror Move and Peck combination, but use Mist first to protect yourself!" called Jay.

The Samurott stood on his hind legs and use Ice Beam, the bottom of the 'comet tail' was frozen by the attack and the ice began to swiftly move up the tail and towards Nini. Because the fire stemmed from her, there was next to no way to stop the ice as it advanced towards her, eventually freezing her in mid-air.

Simultaneously, Melody had used Mirror Move, stealing the violet fire from the dragon-claw move. A white ball had appeared in front of her but before it did anything, the Altaria had used Mist, covering her entire body in a glittery white substance. The white ball in front of her then expanded before it released the violet dragonflames and they began to coat Melody's body. The glittering layer of Mist below the 'flames' protected her from the dragon type move as it flickered around her.
The Altaria's beak then began to glow and she began to dive down towards the Gabite, spinning gently as she did so.

If you looked around the arena now, you would see spirals of purple and white energy slowly dissipating behind her. They were separate and distanced from Nini's so that Daryl wouldn't catch them in his Ice Beam.

With a sudden idea, Jay called out to her, "Draco Meteor!"
Blinking, the Altaria gracefully pulled out of the dive, making even this sudden movement look effortless and planned. She spun again so as to be facing the right direction before she parted her beak and aimed downwards again.
As she repeated the same dive as before, large purple meteors were fired from her still glowing beak. The meteors had a glittering tail of white and purple because of the after effects of the Peck and Mist moves she had used beforehand.
The five meteors headed towards the Gabite from all angles, homing in on him like dragon powered missiles.

Ripple was awestruck at Sakura's performance. She gasped and gaped at the beautiful comet like combination. "Now look at that! A beautiful comet streaking against the night sky!~" Ripple was gushing now, arm that was unoccupied by the microphone flailing wildly.

As Jay countered Ripple's eyes grew even wider. "Oh my! This battle just keeps me guessing! Look at the way that ice eats up the comet! Ingenious!" Ripple was leaping up and down by this point. She continued to marvel at the meteors before finishing up her sequence. "How will Sakura make it out of this one?"

Nini slowly was encased in ice. As ice increased the weight of Nini, gravity only allowed one thing. She went down. Slowly the ice incased Nini spun, faster and faster as the tips of the icy comet melted a little, making a tiny purple flare dance across the ice. As a bit more ice melted it surrounded the ice in purple fire, making a comet again. As she spun faster and faster, her speed eventually was going right below the sound barrier. The air shimmered around her, almost like a contest appeal, the shimmering light; but the ice protected her from an attack and was attacking as Daryl as well. She well got the idea from "Ice Aqua Jet" and it worked pretty well.

Sakura silently nodded to herself and mumbled the name she was giving to the contest move, "Ice-Dragon Comet." As for Draco, she was going to take another risk.

"Draco, Dragon Claw the Ice! Ice Shard Shield, then Dragon Claw infusion!" She took this as a risk. A compete and utter risk. Ice Shard Shield never worked before, it either melted to fast, or wasn't strong enough to block anything. Luck was slightly on her side before, and lets see if Lady Luck could let her pull this off.

Draco suddenly Dragon Clawed the ice, making decent sized chunks of ice to appear, but not break through the ice. Quickly he kicked them up, so they glinted and shone in the light, then suddenly he started the Dragon Claw again. Although this time, he allowed the fire to go a bit more than normal. Suddenly like in a entrancing dance, he spun and turned around as the fire slowly left lines and eventually encased him. The ice melted, then reformed together, then melted and reformed so much it was infused with a beautiful purple tinge, and it glowed around Draco as it went closer and hardened to Draco. He stopped when it was a breath's inch away, and then the metors hit. The ice shattered damaging Draco a tiny bit, but they shimmered with Dragon Claw's Effect. As for the Metors, they broke apart into many tiny pieces, which he promptly broke them making a bunch of shiny powder go around him. He was safe for now.
