The Rumor of Ruins!

As the three Pokemon got to the falls, Nightingale's eyes seemed to gleam as he looked up at the waterfall. "Woah..." the words escaped his lips as he looked at the others. "O-oh, wow, it's bigger than I expected, I wonder if the rumours are true.  And I wonder how we'll even get inside if they are.  The water looks really intense..." Darcy's voice seemed to follow the reaction Nightingale had. ""Well, there might be a path that you could sidle across...or we could risk it all and jump through it and hope that there isn't a wall on the other side..You're the thinking type Yooka, do you have any ideas?"" The Minccino questioned before remembering Darcy was the leader. "Darcy, what about you? Do you want to jump through or look across?" Nightingale questioned the Skitty, The purple Keleon seemed to speak before she could answer, however. "yep I do, but it requires things you two don't technically have. Time, skill, and strength. Darcy mind if I have your bag if I find something. I need to store my items for what I may do. Nightingale, if you wouldn't mind holding my bag. If it's there, I'll carry you two one at a time through the falls via, climbing the wall.""

Nightingale watched as Yooka walked between the two, giving Nightingale her bag as he struggled to hold it up. Yooka seemed to ignore them as she climbed up the mountain and tested the water with their hand before disappearing behind it. "What the heck are they doing..?" Nightingale questioned before his ears perked up, it seemed he understood moments after the Keleon disappeared. "Yooka is looking to see if it's safe!" He announced rather happily. Second, later the Kecleon jumping out and rubbing the water from her eyes. "It's actually safe enough to just jump into the falls, but it's coming down hard, so you may need to put some 'oomph' into your jumps..." Some Oomph, huh? He seemed to like where this adventure was taking him. He struggled but managed to hand Yooka her backpack, letting out a content sigh as they took it from him. "Thanks, that was too big to hold." He joked as he shifted his gaze towards Darcy a happy but also determined look plastered over his face. "So, leader. Are we all jumping in on three or do we just go one at a time?" He said in jest, letting Darcy know he was going to jump through, even if she told him it was a stupid idea. But it also showed that he wanted the leader to make the decisions, even if he was dead set on following his own idiotic ideas at times.

Darcy approached the waterfall alongside Yooka, curious about what her idea was...  And then worried about the idea, once she saw the Kecleon test the waters and haul herself up onto the cliff face.  "Careful, Yooka..." Darcy said, sinking her claws into the ground.  The water was coming down hard, hard enough to spray mist into the air and make her fur wet.  Would Yooka really be able to hold on..?

Yooka climbed towards the waterfall, letting it cascade over her...  And then she vanished from view entirely.  Darcy tensed up.  If Yooka had fallen, then it wouldn't have been hard to see her in the clear water beneath the falls, right?  So she was probably still climbing, and just obscured by the waterfall...  Or had she really discovered a cave back there after all..?

Darcy squeaked with surprise and jumped backwards as Yooka suddenly leaped back onto dry ground, straight through the waterfall, but the Skitty's surprise was quickly replaced with relief.  "S-so there really is a cave on the other side?" she said, taking a step backwards and looking up at the falls once again.  "...I can see why it took so long for anyone to find it..."

She pondered what they should do next.  Yooka could make it back and forth, it seemed.  But would she and Gale be strong enough?  Then Gale himself chimed in, like he was asking for permission to jump through right away.  "H-hey, don't be reckless!" Darcy said while stepping between him and the waterfall.  "What if we can't make it through?  We could seriously get hurt!  And...  I'm, um, not great at swimming, you know.  I don't think I could help if anyone fell in."

She sat down on the wet grass and sighed, staring at the waterfall in front of them.  "...Yooka...  How much 'oomph' do you think we would need?" she asked.  "We don't weigh as much as you do.  You can make it across just fine, but I'm worried that Gale and I would be swept up by the waterfall if we tried to jump through.  W-we shouldn't go any farther if it isn't safe."

((OOC: I must say, using other users characters in your own post is a risky move. But it 'is' just a recap of the previous thread with added PoV from your side. meh, I dont know...

Yooka completely spaced about the two being lighter than her, but she did plan for some form of cowardice. The minncino was just much more willing but his fur, if wet, would practically double his weight... even if he did his all, the fall's force would shove him under, theoretically. The same for Darcy aswell, but not as serious. "Hah, we have a daredevil Minncino here, but I do have to agree with Darcy for this one. Not to be rude but your fur is the cause. If you want me to explain further I will, but meh... If you want to, that's on you. Im not here to help physically unless its inevitable. I'm just giving advice." Looks like her first plan may still be needed. Again Yooka smirked and gave a small laugh as she looked at Darcy, "And yes, I've already thought of that, buuut it wasn't for the same reason and you may not like doing it."

She pointed to her own backpack, "It involves you and or him hopping in my bag and me doing two full trips through the falls. If you two can't find a way in or are just lazy, I'll be over here." Yooka headed to the edge of the falls and leaned on the rock wall next to it. She even started looking around the place, seeing if anything was around. No Pokemon but she did find a few items nearby, which she picked-up along the way.

"I mean, I could make it...I think..." he pouted as Yooka explained he was too small to make it and Nightingale didn't even factor in the extra weight his fur would take on because of the water. His ears drooped in disappointment, mostly in himself. He didn't want to weight the team down. But Yooka explained he could hop in their bag with Darcy and he seemed to cheer up just a bit, atleast they would be able to get somewhere instead of standing around together looking like a couple of goofballs. His gaze shifted towards Darcy. "You want to get into the bag first or do you want me to?" He questioned, he was only a little bit smaller so it wouldn't matter too much but he was still smaller. Though, not by much. Yooka's bag was much bigger than Nightingale so fitting either pokemon inside would be easy enough. It would just consist of Nightingale having to ask for help, something he didn't do too often as he didn't want to seem useless. But then again what choice did he have? Risk his life to try and do something almost impossible. He might as well ask, they are his friends after all and only want to see that he's okay.

"I mean, do you want to go first? I could wait for a few seconds while Yooka jumps over with you. Unless you want me to go first." The Minccino seemed to want Darcy to go first. It was mostly because he was scared the bag wouldn't hold. He was worried, sure, but then again every little thing worried him. It seemed Yooka telling him about his fur getting wet and weighing him down seemed to get to him, it was scary that he didn't factor that idea in and it made him think of other risks he had not thought about before agreeing to come here. His gaze shifted towards the sun that was setting. He didn't want to stay near the forest when the moon was out.

Don't worry about it!:

"You're really okay with carrying us..?" Darcy said while staring at the raging waterfall.  She didn't want to rely on Yooka so heavily just to get inside, but the Skitty couldn't think of any better ideas.  She didn't have any special moves that could help her get through, and she still didn't feel very confident about jumping.  Maybe she would just have to ask for help this time.  "Well, ummm...  Alright.  I'll go first, Gale.  I want to make sure this is safe before I let you try," she said while pacing over to Yooka and her bag.

...Still, this felt a little strange.  "So, I just...  Climb in?" Darcy said, laughing a little and wearing a sheepish smile while she prodded at the backpack and stared inside.  "I guess that actually sounds kind of fun.  You're sure you can make it across while holding me though?"

She wiped her paws against the grass to clean them off, then gingerly hopped inside and settled onto her haunches.  It was a snug fit, but it wasn't so bad; she had enough space to wriggle around, perhaps even enough to lie down, and she didn't have to push too many of Yooka's items out of the way.  It was kind of cozy, in fact.  Maybe that was just her Skitty instincts kicking in though.  She had always found boxes and the like to be weirdly fun to play in.  She wagged her tail idly and leaned back against the rock wall, getting comfortable in what little space she had while she waited for Yooka's answer.

Noticing both agreed to go with Yooka, practically instantly... "Can't find a way in...? ...mmrrr... Alright, but dont get too comfortable. It's going to get a bit bumpy. I may need to tumble the landing." Putting on her now Skitty filled pack, she stood just to the side of the falls. Giving a few miniature jumps to feel the difference. Yooka looked over at Nightingale, gave a thumbs up, then stared at the Waterfall. "Pff, can I make it? I ran holding you and Alki the other day and that was when I was somewhat tired. Just brace yourself, my bag will handle the rest."

Not even waiting for a respond herself, she gave a short running start before giving a long jump. Just as she assumed, the fall's grip on her bag tugged her backwords a bit but didnt send her offcourse. Instead of countering it by leaning forward, she twisted just a tad to the side and slid on her side when she landed. Only to stop at the cave's wall. She over-estimated how hard it would be. Her move recover was already passively healing the scrapes she just received from the rough ground like it usually does. She got up and put her pack on the ground so Darcy could get out. "Easy. Although I did over-estimate my jump."
