| Howdy there and welcome to the Nuzlocke race! >:3 Since a bunch of us are all doing this I figured I'd create a handy dandy thread for us to keep each other updated on our progress. To make sure I know who's participating, post here with the starter you chose and which version you're playing! Anyone can join, not just the ones who have joined already and you can even join late in the game of you want to! RulesAll normal Nuzlocke rules apply, I.e: -You can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in a given area. -Any Pokemon that faint are considered 'dead' and must be permaboxed or released. -All caught Pokemon must be nicknamed. Our extra rules for these runs include: -Duplicates clause - which allows you to pass by a first encounter and try again if you've already caught that species before. -Shiny clause - allows the player to catch any shinies they may encounter during their Nuzlocke. If you would like to add further rules to your run to make it more difficult make sure you note those rules in the same post as when you post stating your participation. So who has joined so far you might ask?? Well he's a handy dandy list of everyone that has confirmed their participation in this thread!! I'll also update it with the number of gym badges they have currently ^-^ Anyone on this list is expected to let us know when they beat any gyms and stuff like that. Basically update the rest of us on your progress, though you don't have to post here every time you catch a pokemon or anything. If you'd like to post any Nuzlocke notes you might make during your run here, that too is fine and will prevent loads of people spamming the free chat with their notes separately! Disclaimer: The thread says race but you don't have to speed through if you don't want to. Feel free to take all the time you want :3 Aka we're not really racing it's just a catchy thread name. Edit 8th June: Since a lot of us are getting the eevee that Bill gifts you in Goldenrod I thought it might be fun to try and get an entire set of eeveelutions between us! (Not counting Sylveon of course!) So this is to keep track of who has which for that purpose ^-^ Of course I won't force you to have an eeveelution you don't want to use though~

| I am doing a HG nuzlock run. I chose Chikorita as starter. Poor thing isn't getting any love.

| Added all three of you and also added a badge count to the nuzlocker list ^-^
Also just a note here that I have currently beaten Falkner and Bugsy and i'm gonna note down my team at the time of each gym challenge for all those interested :D No team member losses yet, luckily. Although with Whitney next I feel like that might change.

Before Violet City
Left home to go get Pokemon, and chose Totodile. Named him Zllyn'd. Was sent to go to Mr. Pokemon, and then got some potions. On the way, Zllyn'd leveled up to level 6 and learned Water Gun. Arrived at Cherrygrove and the tutorial happened. After Cherrygrove, Zllyn'd leveled up to level 7. Found a potion and antidote, then Zllyn'd leveled up to level 8. Arrived at Mr. Pokemon's house, and received an egg and the Prof. Oak gave a Pokedex. Got a call from Elm about a horrible thing. Ran back to Cherrygrove and didn't see a single Pokemon. Battled an unnamed trainer, he had a Chikorita. It went Scratch, Tackle, Scratch, Tackle Water Gun. Won the battle. Saw his trainer card and laughed. His name was Butt. Went back to home and the officer thought I was the perpetrator. Elm was a dick and didn't but in, but Ethan saved me. Told the officer the guy was named Butt. Went back home to tell Mom that I was going on an adventure. Left home. Ethan taught me how to catch Pokemon, but I didn't pay attention. He gave me pokeballs. I caught a female Pidgey at level two and named her Dyana. Leveled up Dyana once on Route 29 and went to Route 46. Found a female Geodude at level 4 and named her Georgia. Went to Cherrygrove, and then to Route 30. Found a female Caterpie at level 3, and named her Jemima. Went back to Route 29 and trained everyone up to level 6, except Georgia, she got to level 8. Somewhere in this training, Dyana learned Sand Attack and Georgia learned Mud Sport and Rock Polish. Started heading north and battled Joey, only random trainer I'm going to name, and got his number. Jemima didn't level up to level 7 like she was supposed to. Had her kill a random Pokemon to evolve into Metapod and learn Harden. Used only Dyana to fight the next trainer and she leveled up to level 7, then to level 8. Went further north and fought another trainer with my entire team. No one leveled up. moved on to Route 31 and only ran into Metapod and Caterpie for about ten minutes. Jemima leveled up once. Found a male Bellsprout at level 3 and named him Norque. Went into Dark Cave and found a couple of Geodude to kill so Norque could level up. Found a female Zubat at level 2 and named her Winona. Went over closer to Violet City and battled a trainer with everyone except for Winona and Norque. No one leveled up. Entered Violet City.
Violet City
In Violet City, I healed my Pokemon. I did nothing for 12 hours, then went to Sprout Tower at night. Found a female Gastly at level 4 and named her Zoella. I waited another 12 hours after I left and went to Route 32 and found a female Rattata at level 4 and named her Betty. I went back to the Pokecenter to heal my Pokemon and put Georgia in the PC. I talked to this weird guy who gave me an egg after I told him some random words. It looked like a Mareep egg. Talked to a guy outside of the gym who brought me to the Trainer School. I left for Route 36, but found the path blocked by a tree. A man gave me HM Rock Smash. I skipped over going to the Ruins of Alph for now. Then I left for Route 31 to train Zoella and Norque, and hopefully hatch my egg. Zoella grew two levels after murdering a Metapod, and learned Spite. I trained some more, and Dyana grew to level 9 and learned Gust, Zoella grey to level 8 and learned Mean Look, and Norque grew to level 7 and learned Growth. Then I had a stroke of brilliance and went to Dark Cave to train Norque against Geodude, and he got to level 10. After that, I left for Sprout Tower. For the first few trainers, I only used Jemima, except for one Bellsprout, whom I killed with Dyana, and then she grew to level 10. I stopped using Jemima when she grew to level 10, evolved into Butterfree, and learned Confusion. Then I trained Zoella and got her to level 9, and I faught the only Hoothoot with Zllyn'd and he grew to level 10. Then I saw Butt, who left using a rope. Seconds later, I found a rope, and then I challenged some old dude.
Gel vs. Elder:
Round One: Dyana vs. Bellsprout
Dyana used Gust and completely murdered the Bellsprout
Round Two: Zllyn'd vs. Hoothoot
Zllyn'd used Water Gun, while the Hoothoot missed Hypnosis. Zllyn'd used Water Gun again, while Hoothoot used Peck. They repeated themselves. Zllyn'd used Water Gun, Hoothoot used Hypnosis, and it worked. Zllyn'd slept through a loud Growl, and then through being pecked. However, he then woke up and scratched the Hoothoot to death. Zllyn's grows to level 11.
Round Three: Zoella vs. Bellsprout
Zoella used Lick, and the Bellsprout grew. Zoella's next lick paralyzed the Bellsprout, but it still whipped the vine, which was a critical hit. Three times in a row, Zoella licked and Bellsprout used Vine Whip. After that, Zoella licked the Bellsprout to death, and finally got into double digits and was level 10.
After the fight, the elder gave me the TM for Flash, and I roped out of there. I went to heal my Pokemon. Then I ran around waiting for my egg to hatch. My egg hatched, and my beautiful female Mareep appeared. I named her Victoria. I ran over to Route 32 to train a bunch. Victoria leveled up once, and so did Dyana. Then Victoria leveled up multiple times for a while. Victoria learned Growl at level 5. When Victoria was level 7 and had almost died, I went off to go to train at Route 31, where it would be harder for the wild Pokemon to kill her. In the end, I got Victoria to level 11, Zllyn'd to level 12, and Dyana to level 12. Then I challenged Falkner.
Gel vs. Falkner:
Round One: Victoria vs. Pidgey
The Pidgey used Tackle and Victoria killed it with Thundershock.
Round Two: Zllyn'd/Victoria vs. Pidgeotto
Pidgeotto used Gust, Zllyn'd used Water Gun. Due to damage, Zllyn'd was switched out for Victoria, who wasn't attacked right away, since Pidgeotto used Roost. Then Pidgeotto used Tackle and got paralyzed from Static. Victoria used Thundershock. Victoria used Thundershock, Pidgeotto used Roost. Victoria did the same, while Pidgeotto used Tackle, and then Victoria killed it with Thundershock.
After the battle, I got the Zephyr Badge. Then Falkner gave me a little speech, and he gave me the TM for Roost. After I left, Elm called me about the egg. He was giving it to me. I went and healed my Pokemon, and found a man with a package in the Poke Mart. I talked to him, and it turned out he was just giving me a Super Potion, and then I saw Elm's assistant, who gave me the egg, and talked a bit. I left the Poke Mart, and a girl in a kimono came up to me, talking about the egg. After she left, I deposited the egg into the PC, and left south for Azalea Town.
Azalea Town
I went through Route 32, Union Cave, and Route 33, and my team was roughly levels 12 to 15. In Union Cave, I found a female Sandshrew at level 8, whom I named Nina. On Route 33, I found a male Hoppip at level 6, whom I named Carl. I left to go towards Azalea Town, and saw a man dressed entirely in black with a red 'R' on his chest harassing a man. He then blocked the entrance to a well. I left for town and met Kurt, a Pokeball maker. He talked about how Team Rocket was cutting off Slowpoke tails in the well and selling them. Then he ran towards the well. He scared off the Rocket grunt, and then hurt his back going down the well. I went after the people, and fought a few of them. Then I met one who was apparently the highest ranking one there, named Proton.
Gel vs. Proton:
Round One; Jemima vs. Zubat
Jemima easily killed the Zubat with Confusion.
Round Two: Jemima vs. Koffing
Jemima used Confusion on the Koffing, and confused it. The Koffing then hurt itself in its confusion. Jemima then killed it with Confusion.
Proton ran off yelling about some nonsense stuff, and the Kurt brought me back to his home. He told me he would create Pokeballs for me if I brought him apricorns, and I gave him a Black Apricorn. I went back to the Well and caught a male Slowpoke, and named him William. I left and headed for Ilex Forest, when I was suddenly stopped by Butt.
Gel vs. Butt:
Round One: Jemima vs. Gastly
Gastly used Spite, but it failed, and Jemima used Confusion. Then Gastly killed itself to curse Jemima, who got hurt a bit before being switched out.
Round Two: Victoria vs. Zubat
Victoria used Thundershock, and killed the Zubat in one hit
Round Three: Dyana vs. Bayleef
Bayleef used Reflect, while Dyana used Gust. Then Bayleef used Synthesis to heal fully, while Dyana used Gust. This happened two more times before Dyana used Quick Attack, and Bayleef healed fully with Synthesis. Bayleef missed a Poison Powder, and Dyana used Gust, and Reflect wore off. Bayleef used Synthesis, Dyana used Gust. Then Bayleef hit Dyana with Poison Powder, and Dyana used Gust. Bayleef used Reflect, and Dyana used Gust. Bayleef used Razor Leaf and took out most of Dyana's health, and Dyana used Gust. Then Dyana finished it with Quick Attack.
Butt rambled on about weak Pokemon and trainers, and left through the forest. I followed soon after, and a person looking for some Farfetch'd asked me for help. I helped him find the Farfetch'd, and I got the HM for Cut. Then I started training for the Gym, and hunting for Shiny Leaves for my Pokemon after one found one. After getting all of the Shiny Leaves for my Pokemon I could find, I went back to a lot of training. The level range was 14 to 19 for all of my Pokemon, Dyana and Zllyn'd both evolved, and I headed to the Gym.
Gel vs. Bugsy:
Round One: Dyana vs. Scyther
Scyther used Quick Attack, and Dyana used Gust. Scyther used Focus Energy, while Dyana used Gust again. Scyther healed from a Sitrus Berry, and used Quick Attack, while Dyana retaliated with Gust. Bugsy used a Super Potion while Dyana used Quick Attack. I used a Super Potion, and Scyther used Quick Attack, which was a critical hit. A repeat happened the next turn, besides the critical hit. Scyther used Quick Attack, and Dyana used Gust. I switched to Victoria as Scyther used Quick Attack. Scyther used Quick Attack, which is another critical hit, and is paralyzed, and Victoria retaliated with Thundershock, which killed the Scyther.
Round Two: Zllyn'd vs. Metapod
Zllyn'd used Water Gun, and Metapod used Tackle. Zllyn'd used Water Gun and killed the Metapod.
Round Three: Jemima vs. Kakuna
Jemima used Confusion, and then Kakuna poisoned Jemima with Poison Sting. Jemima then killed the Kakuna with Confusion.
After the battle, I got the Hive Badge, and Bugsy talked a bit, before giving me the TM for U-Turn. After I left and healed, I taught Norque Cut and Victoria Rock Smash. In Ilex Forest, I caught a female Paras and named her June. A man also taught Victoria Headbutt. I left the forest, and I caught a male Drowzee on Route 34, who I named I. N. Sanity. On this route, I battled some trainers, and the level range stayed the same, except that the highest level was now 20.
Goldenrod City
I reached the daycare center, and found out Ethan's grandparents ran the place, I also got his number for the first time, which is odd, since we were best friends and all that. I also got his grandparents' numbers. I entered Goldenrod City, and went to the Game Corner to play a bit. I also was lent a bike to advertise the bike shop, and I headed to the Radio Tower. I took the quiz to get a free radio card for my Pokegear. I answered it easily, and got my card. A girl then talked to me, and left quickly. I headed for Route 35 to see if I could find any Pokemon.
This will be updated as I go along with as many details as I can remember throughout the sessions of the day, or just whenever I'm on, and playing, I'll update it as I go.

| Aww that super sucks D: I know the pain of shiz freezing but not as bad as that. I just dropped my ds straight after a gym battle and it froze before i saved. At least mine is only when I drop it | |

| Clearing out the Rocket Grunts inside the Slowpoke Well right now, then I'll begin the grind for Bugsy and the subsequent rival battle. My graveyard is still empty.
Update: Won the Hive Badge. Geodude's Defence Curl/Rollout combo annihilated Bugsy. | |
