A Small Outing

Astrid slithered happily through the small forest, the scent of Pecha berries in the air as he watched the sky above him. The Dratini didn't know why he liked the sky so much... perhaps it was the blue colour it was. He quite liked to swim, so perhaps it subtly reminded him of water? Either way... he didn't seem to care as he cheerfully wandered onward.
Astrid liked how cool it was today. The soft breeze that continued to waft the scent of Pecha Berries in his direction, cooled the normally quite warm air. It wasn't too hot, nor too cold. Just how he liked it.

The Dratini sighed and thanked Arceus that he was much bigger in size than Callie was. Astrid slithered over and put the Skitty onto his back, using his tail to prevent her from falling off. With some quick, swift movements, he had climber up into a tree and had laid Callie on one of the branches where she could rest out of the reach of most Pokemon.

Astrid then glanced around, climbing slightly higher up the tree to see if there was anything worth doing whilst he waited for Callie to recover. As he drew higher up the tree, he noticed a hole in it's trunk. Peering in, there was an Apple. The Apple just lay there as if someone had put it out especially for him to find, only there were no signs of life in or around the hole. No evidence of a nest or other form of home. So Astrid took the Apple and stored it away for future use.

Callie just lay there not moving much or thinking almost asleep you could say, she slowly tried to curl together making her self look like a giant fluffly pink fluff ball it was her comfortable position but no matter what she wouldn't fall asleep. She couldn't so she lay there trying to see where Astrid went.

Astrid yawned and glanced up at the sky again. It looked like the sun would set soon and so he peered inside the hollow in the tree's trunk, wondering if it would fit a pokemon as big as himself in it. It went considerably deeper than he had first seen and so he slithered inside. The Dratini then curled up, wondering if he could make himself a more permanent home here. Well... at least whilst he decided what he wanted to do with his life.

Claria didn't want to sleep so soon but she was to tired to go anything at all her sleepy eyes made her think twice about not sleeping her, she yarned one last time right before making up her mind its time to sleep. She brushed a leaf gently of her cheek with her paw before moving her tail to cover her beginning to dream away shortly after.

Astrid's eyes blinked open again and he winced at the sunlight peering in through the hollow in the tree trunk. It took him a moment to realize that he had left Callie on a branch further down the tree when he had fallen asleep last night. Raising his head and letting his eyes adjust to the light; Astrid peered out of the small hollow. He slithered down the tree and appeared on Callie's branch.
"Mornin'!" he grinned cheerfully. "You feeling any better?"

Callie woke up as she heard a noise she was startled and fell off the tree giving a vary faint scream her face hit the ground first, her legs hurt she slowly began to get up and looked up to see Astrid she wasn't vary happy at all whats so ever.

Astrid chuckled slightly before slithering down the tree.
"Well if you were before, I'm guessing you're not feeling too good now," he reasoned, glancing up at the sky. Today it was bright and blue, though there was still some cloud cover. Astrid longed for the day when he would evolve and be able to sense the weather ever clearly, even having the power to control it. But until then he would have to train hard, and make new friends.

"Sorry..." he apologized, upon realizing that Callie most likely wasn't amused about falling out of a tree.
