The Solution - Page 7 1tke9pS

The air felt still in the quiet room; it gave off an eerie vibe. The silence, the calm, the open space.... it was all such a big contrast to what'd just happened. That coupled with anticipation was almost enough to unnerve the psychotic, fractured mind of the glaceon in the room.... Almost. If it were Sova, it would have most certainly made him feel uneasy at the very least, but as stated earlier, the mind of the glaceon was fractured. There were two pieces, and the one currently in control was not going to be so easily intimidated by a mere room.

S.S. began to grin in anticipation nearing the center of the room. He could hardly restrain himself from carelessly dumping the contents of his bag to get at the music box and wind it up. Instead, he decided to lay down in the center of the room as he waited for the rest of his group to catch up. Maybe they needed a break.... but did he really care? He stuck his injured paw into his bag.... then paused for a moment. He didn't know quite how bad the little paw injury was since he'd been suppressing his pain reflex. He didn't know if he was making it worse, and he didn't know if it could take the stress of his constant romping around.

Of course, the pain was still there. He'd just been.... ignoring it. Suppressing it. He decided to really feel it for a moment, just to check, and.... well, it hurt. However, it mostly felt sore, not like it was about to break. Now the rest of his body was a different story! His entire body stung from some of the hits he and his weaker half - mostly said weaker half - had sustained. He felt a bit tired still despite having allowed himself to relax too, but that part wasn't news. He wasn't in the greatest shape in the world, but there it wasn't too severe as far as he could tell. Most of the injuries were minor, they just.... added up. The only major ones were the paw and a cut under his right eye that he could feel stinging despite it having been a while ago. This settled it; Sova had just passed out from exhaustion coupled with shock due to pain. Or.... well, was it really passing out?

Either way, all that mattered was that his body was still capable of fighting for him, which it was. He wasn't in perfect condition by any means, but after a short rest, he'd be capable of fighting just as well as usual. Although he still didn't know for sure whether any more fighting would be done or not. He very much wanted to find out, though, which led his thoughts back to the music box. His paw was already in the bag, so.... he just.... went right on ahead and pulled the box out. He stared down at the box, temptation to wind it up rising, but he resisted. Just a few more minutes and he'd be able to sate his desire.

It interested him so much, in fact, that he no longer cared about tormenting Jak.

(So, you guys wanna have a timeskip for a silent, awkward break, then wind the box up? Or just a few posts of chitchat? I'm hoping I'm not the only one who doesn't fancy spending a whole lot of time on this. Could just have this be a short, 4 post thread.)

Varda smiled. It seemed as if the two Pokémon were fine with his idea of taking the easy way out and just flying through the hole for instant freedom – though of course, it was only easy for the two Pokémon that actually had wings. Sova… Wasn't as lucky, but that was a part of the plan! The less walking the Glaceon did in his state, the better. He sure was glad that Jak was here, as there was no way the Altaria could actually take off with something as heavy as Sova on his back – and to imagine, when they had first met… The Fire-type didn't even have wings! Talk about convenient timing!

The bird's beady eyes looked at Sova in anticipation, almost glimmering in the dim room. He was tense with anticipation, as he waited and hoped with bated breath. They couldn't drag out a friend who was kicking and screaming all the way through, so most importantly, the Glaceon had to agree to this. And sometimes it was really hard to get Sova to agree to things like these for some reason…

At first, it seemed like a no. Varda already managed to grow disappointed, his posture slouched and the long streamer-like feathers on his head drooping down in defeat. But then, then it came! An agreement! Exchanging some information for this wasn't bad at all! The Altaria couldn't help but bounce right back up despite his exhaustion, a great big smile on his face.
"Oh, that's good!" He chirped in his excitement, already flapping his wings as if he couldn't wait to get into the air,
"Of course, sure, okay!"

Jak 4

Status
Bit Worn
Jak continued to keep his eyes on the glaceon as it spoke, Sova eventually giving in on one condition. Jak told him what he did… which didn't sound too bad, but… it wasn't something he would keep away from him for long anyways.

"Alright…" he responded as he remained where he was for a few more seconds before approaching the ice type. "I will tell you everything. Now… how would you like to be carried?" the fire type inquired.

"I'd rather not have to decide that. Your choice," the fox responded.

Jak subtly shook his head as he hear the fox's response. "Very Well..." Jak stated as he prepared to lift the fox up. "So do you want me to start from the beginning, or what actually happened that you may be worried about..." Jak asked as he carefully lifted Sova up to carry him. As he did so, he glanced towards Varda to see if varda was ready to take off.

Jak would take off as soon as Varda was ready.

The Solution - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Solution   The Solution - Page 7 EmptyWed Mar 23, 2016 12:15 pm

The others agreed to tell him what happened, what he'd done, so that meant he had to hold to his end of the deal.  When asked how he wanted to be carried, he simply responded: "I'd rather not have to decide that.  Your choice."
It felt humiliating enough to be carried, but having to choose how he was carried just made it all that much worse.  It was like being killed and having to choose how he died when all of the options were equally horrible.  Okay, maybe it wasn't quite as bad as dying, but the analogy was still there.  He wanted to spare as much of his pride as he could in this endeavor.  That meant not being forced to pick his poison, so to speak.

He went relatively limp as he was lifted off the ground, showing that he wasn't planning on struggling or being difficult at all.  At the same time, the other end of the deal was immediately being held up as he was asked where he wanted the explanation to start at.  "I can't remember anything after.... fire.  Something hit me with fire, then it's all blank.  Start from there," he decided almost immediately.
Even if nothing eventful would come up in this recap for a good while, he still wanted to know everything.  "Besides, it doesn't really matter how long it is; we've got a long trip back ahead of us.  Plenty of time for a long story."

The glaceon figured this trip would be awkward and unappealing regardless of what happened.  At least, if he was going to be carried, there was no way around it being awkward for him.  If nothing else, maybe being given minor details about what had happened would provide a decent distraction from the blow his ego was receiving.  Plus, how was Jak supposed to know what he was and wasn't worried about?  Maybe there were some minor things to the dragon that were actually very important.  Maybe something noteworthy only to Sova had happened!  He also wanted to stop the others from trying to talk to him like nothing had happened, as he figured they would if they got the chance.

(So, after you two post, wanna end the thread?  Seems like there isn't really anything left to do unless you two really want to sit through a recap of "Sova u r the edge.")

PostSubject: Re: The Solution   The Solution - Page 7 EmptyWed Mar 23, 2016 1:55 pm

Varda was ready. Once Sova had been scooped up by the larger dragon Pokémon, the bird waited for the signal. When both of them had spread their wings, it was obvious that they both were ready to take off. With a strong flap that caused a cloud of dust and ash to rise from the worn floorboards, Varda pushed himself into the air and let his wings continue doing the rest. Flying straight up certainly was a lot more work than just peacefully gliding across a room, that much was sure! But the hole to their freedom was right above them, so they didn't exactly have a choice…

After fire, the Glaceon had lost it, apparently. The Altaria looked like he was deep in thought, remembering quite many instances of fire that day, so it was hard to pinpoint the exact moment… And so much had happened that it was just as difficult to try to remember it all! Was there maybe something else that had to be said first…?

"Oh! We really need to get back to Grassveil Town soon and tell about that strange dark Pokémon!" The bird seemed to realize. No one else knew about this yet, right? The word couldn't get out that fast? Outside, it seemed like nothing had really changed – for better or worse. The clouds were dark, the sun's light filtered through many layers and coming out much weaker than normal. The air… Was awfully still.

There was a lot they had to tell Sova, and not just about what the icy fox had done. They had to find the glue…

((Sure thing! You pretty much know what is going to be said anyway, hah.))

PostSubject: Re: The Solution   The Solution - Page 7 EmptyMon Apr 04, 2016 10:18 pm

Jak began to take off, alongside the bird as they went to leave the chateau behind. As they got into the air, Jak thought of the different instances of fire that had occurred during his travels with the group. However, instead of thinking too much on it. Jak decided that he would just start where he noticed S.S was in control at the time, perhaps even recapping the time he knew Sova was at point.

"We were ambushed, as you probably remember…" Jak started as he continued to climb up into the air. "When you had the froslass pinned, I used my flames against that flying candlestick… honestly… I regret that..." Jak stated, feeling guilty about his attack.
"It used my flames for extra power as it attacked you…" Jak continued, feeling a bit guilty about the whole thing. Whether or not he had done his attack, it was still a possible outcome without the power boost…

Jak had paused for a moment at this time. Continuing to recap the events that played in his memory. He then started once more. "The blizzard we were trying to stop… only intensified. The flames that were being blasted against you were blown back…" Jak stated before pausing once more. "I assume that is when... he took over. The blizzard had only intensified."

As the trio continued to fly back to wherever... Jak continued to explain all that had happened since that ambush.
