| First topic message reminder :---- Group's Current State ---- The air felt still in the quiet room; it gave off an eerie vibe. The silence, the calm, the open space.... it was all such a big contrast to what'd just happened. That coupled with anticipation was almost enough to unnerve the psychotic, fractured mind of the glaceon in the room.... Almost. If it were Sova, it would have most certainly made him feel uneasy at the very least, but as stated earlier, the mind of the glaceon was fractured. There were two pieces, and the one currently in control was not going to be so easily intimidated by a mere room. S.S. began to grin in anticipation nearing the center of the room. He could hardly restrain himself from carelessly dumping the contents of his bag to get at the music box and wind it up. Instead, he decided to lay down in the center of the room as he waited for the rest of his group to catch up. Maybe they needed a break.... but did he really care? He stuck his injured paw into his bag.... then paused for a moment. He didn't know quite how bad the little paw injury was since he'd been suppressing his pain reflex. He didn't know if he was making it worse, and he didn't know if it could take the stress of his constant romping around. Of course, the pain was still there. He'd just been.... ignoring it. Suppressing it. He decided to really feel it for a moment, just to check, and.... well, it hurt. However, it mostly felt sore, not like it was about to break. Now the rest of his body was a different story! His entire body stung from some of the hits he and his weaker half - mostly said weaker half - had sustained. He felt a bit tired still despite having allowed himself to relax too, but that part wasn't news. He wasn't in the greatest shape in the world, but there it wasn't too severe as far as he could tell. Most of the injuries were minor, they just.... added up. The only major ones were the paw and a cut under his right eye that he could feel stinging despite it having been a while ago. This settled it; Sova had just passed out from exhaustion coupled with shock due to pain. Or.... well, was it really passing out? Either way, all that mattered was that his body was still capable of fighting for him, which it was. He wasn't in perfect condition by any means, but after a short rest, he'd be capable of fighting just as well as usual. Although he still didn't know for sure whether any more fighting would be done or not. He very much wanted to find out, though, which led his thoughts back to the music box. His paw was already in the bag, so.... he just.... went right on ahead and pulled the box out. He stared down at the box, temptation to wind it up rising, but he resisted. Just a few more minutes and he'd be able to sate his desire. It interested him so much, in fact, that he no longer cared about tormenting Jak. (So, you guys wanna have a timeskip for a silent, awkward break, then wind the box up? Or just a few posts of chitchat? I'm hoping I'm not the only one who doesn't fancy spending a whole lot of time on this. Could just have this be a short, 4 post thread.) | |

| Jak 4 Status Flight
Ever since Jak had taken on an even stronger form due to that stone… the air seemed to get drier and drier as time went on. It also seemed to warm up quite a bit also. This isn’t part of the natural abilities the Mega form has… is it? After Jak had evolved once again, he noticed the previous attack that S.S had directed towards Varda had stopped. It was one less thing he had to worry about now… He stared at the ice type as it now put its attention on him. ”Give me your all and I won’t hurt him… as long as he stays out of the way,” the fox stated… However, after stating so… Varda seemed to have other ideas about what to do. The bird seemed to have come up with… another one of those ideas off of what another said. What was even more shocking was what he said about ‘The kiss’. Jak at this point, completely ignored what the bird said after it got to some nonsense about love. How would that help them right now with the present issue? S.S seemed annoyed with the bird after Jak heard his response. "Dammit you annoying ball of cotton, SHUT UP before I take my offer back" The ice type seemed to snap in response. To some extent, this actually was a little amusing to Jak… he hasn’t really heard S.S get annoyed in this way before. After that whole thing, Jak wanted to mention one other condition if he was to go all out... the safety of Sova. “Only if you stop when you can’t continue… It isn’t just you that is in there.” he responded in a very firm tone. The response Jak got back seemed to put him at ease somewhat about the idea going all out. "Fine, then. I suppose I won't kill you either if that's what it takes for Hero over here to sit down,"Jak waited a moment before letting out a small puff of smoke before he set his wings to motion, launching himself forward with the aid of his wings to give him a boost. He came at the glaceon at full speed, despite not having a proper move… he planned on running into the glaceon to see if it will attempt to dodge him, as it does so he will launch a small flame. One that will be very deceptive of how intensely it will burn, a bluish white flame that may seem small but is wickedly hot. Even if the ice type doesn’t plan on dodging it, he would still unleash this flame onto it.

| S.S. patiently awaited the response of the now-flashier charizard. However, someone else jumped to respond first.... It was the bird. He was sick of the naive, childish ignorance that was Varda. He would shut that bird up one way or another, though he really didn't want to go through hitting the ball of fluff anymore, because it just KEPT GETTING BACK UP. When Varda wasn't even fighting back, this was no fun at all, and thus he had no desire to do so.
"Dammit you annoying ball of cotton, SHUT UP before I take my offer back," he demanded, frustration present in his tone. Then, the charizard responded, accepting his offer.... with a condition. He was to stop in the situation that he was no longer capable of fighting. Right.... he wasn't going to do that, nor was he planning on getting to that point in the first place. But, for the sake of having some real fun for the first time in his life, he was going to play along.
"Fine, then. I suppose I won't kill you either if that's what it takes for Hero over here to sit down," he spoke, referring to the bird. However, "either" was not in reference to Jak killing him; he was simply agreeing not to kill either of the other two. They weren't going to kill him, and if this was what it took to get some pleasure out of them.... perhaps he would spare them. After all, Jak was so entertaining, it would be a shame to only be able to play with him once.
The glaceon's crazed smile crept back onto his face as the charizard took off toward him. He waited until the last moment to step out of the way to the left, finding in the process that he was.... slower.... The Quick Seed must have worn off, he figured. Then the real attack came out; a bluish-white flame from the charizard's maw. He wasn't worried about this, though, as he could dodge it! However, when he tried to think to move.... he just.... zoned out. He nearly fell forward before the flame hit him in the right side, knocking him down to his left side. What.... had just happened?
Then he began to notice the tingling sensation in his side from the fire. He raised his head and looked to his side to see dark burn-marks in his fur, showing what the sensation was from. He figured it would likely have been far more unpleasant if not for the fact that he was still suppressing his pain.... It was then that it suddenly dawned upon him what was happening. The feeling of.... away-ness that kept making itself evident in his mind.... wasn't him.... Sova? Well then.... He wasn't in the mood to have Sova sitting in the back seat trying to dictate his actions, so.... he stopped suppressing the pain. And oh, it hurt, for certain. Suddenly, the duality faded and his consciousness was his own again.
Sova was too weak to stick around for even the slightest bit of pain.
With that out of the way, he rose back to his feet in a puppet-like manner similar to earlier, appearing almost like he was being pulled up by an unseen force. His maniacal giggles started back up again, he suppressed the pain once more, and he was ready to go. His ice armor began to reform, though it wasn't exactly instantaneous due to the air becoming increasingly dry and hot. No matter, though; this was a perfect challenge. "Now I can finally have some fun," he stated as he reached his injured paw into his bag, pulling out a long, silver spike. He bit onto the spike with his teeth and held it in his mouth, before darting toward the beast.
The charizard began to fire flames at him to counter-attack, as expected, but he wasn't intending on getting hit. He suddenly stopped and stumbled to the right in the same deranged pattern of movement he'd been using, just barely avoiding some of the fire. Then he bolted to the left, testing how well the charizard could lead for his path. He stopped once more as a blast of fire was sent along his path, once more avoiding it. He began to wobble to the left, and by the pattern of movements he'd held thus far, one would think he was going to dart to the right next.... but he didn't. Instead, he went straight forward, right toward Jak.
If Jak did nothing to avoid the attack, which was what he was hoping for, he would use both his spiked body and the spike held in his mouth to learn what the dragon's blood looked like. If Jak tried to block, he would do his best to find any vulnerabilities in the defense. He could feel the burns on his side taking their toll on his body despite suppressing the pain, but that didn't really matter. He wasn't very physically intimidating in the first place; it was mostly his speed he used to hit harder anyway, and so far, that wasn't being affected.
If Jak's response happened to be fire - if he actually managed to follow along and counterattack - S.S. was planning on seeing how hot the fire was and just going right through it. Now he had an item that wouldn't be instantly melted by the fire to strike with, so even if his body's armor couldn't take it, he could still pay the dragon back.

| Varda didn't back down even when the Glaceon was spitting rather nasty words at him. Of course he would be annoyed, he figured it out! His weakness, the great riddle! The bird had gotten him now – and he felt proud! Gone was the oblivious gaze and the innocent smile that didn't understand! The Altaria's stance alone was full of confidence, his face not far behind. He was smiling, yes, but it was a more determined smile than anything.
Unfortunately, it seemed as if Jak was more interested in fighting… Unless this was some kind of a trick and he was trying to tire the icy fox down? Yes, that was… A good idea, probably. The Glaceon was so fast, there was no way he could catch up to him! And, besides, the two seemed to agree on not hurting each other too much. It would be just like a friendly spar. Some Pokémon liked that. Varda wasn't one of those, but if someone else liked it and it wasn't really hurting anyone…
"I guess sparring is fine," the bird chirped, having to admit that he couldn't come up with a reason why that would be a bad thing. He wasn't really involved in it, so all he really could do was to take a few steps back so he wouldn't be getting hit by the flames or the ice. Varda was quite worried about the attacks though, as they really didn't seem like the kind one would use in friendly spars. They looked… Strong and painful.
And a glint in the Glaceon's mouth caused the Altaria to remember something. The silvery spike Sova had found on their adventures a long time ago, the one he had used as a weapon. It was really sharp! "Ah, Jak, watch out for the spike!" Varda chirped from below, doing his best to try to get his voice to overpower the other sounds of the battle, "It's sharp! That's not… Very friendly!" He continued, clearly sounding worried. Weren't they supposed to be doing friendly sparring? How would that be alright!
"I don't think this will bring Sova back, Jak!"

| Jak 4 Status N/A
As the ice type continued to go past his bursts of flame that he was using to slow the Pokémon down, Jak kept a mental note of the silver object in the ice type’s jaws as it approached. As it got near, he unleashed a torrent of his flames… the fierce heat it produced radiated throughout the room as he did so. That was when he heard the bird shout to watch out for the spike. He was very well aware of the object in the fox’s mouth, however he didn’t know it was a spike at the time. The only thing he knew was to be careful about it. The only other thing he heard from the fluffy flying type was that it didn’t think this idea would bring Sova back. Of course... How would I know? I am just keeping him distracted for now. he thought to himself silently as he focused on the battle. He didn’t really pay too much mind to the bird’s words due to his focus. As he continued his expulsion of flames, he kept a close eye on his surroundings. He didn’t want to have the ice type randomly come at him from another angle… Even if he was prepared to avoid it. He planned on moving cutting the flames if he spotted the fox in a different location. If he was to burst through the flames, he would jump back using his wings to speed up the maneuver so he could avoid any attack. Jak cut the flames as an object burst through the flames, prompting him to jump back. The object that he had to worry about came dangerously close to him. As the bird had stated, it was some kind of spike that definitely was sharp. Jak noticed the armor on the fox was almost melted completely off from its dive through the fiery inferno. Not having much more time to react, another attack was immediately sent flying at Jak. The same kind of dark ball of energy that was going to be directed at Varda before it faded out of existence. Jak quickly went to avoid the attack, having it pass only inches from him! Jak was now losing ground with his ability to avoid these consecutive attacks. He had to go offensive now or else he risked getting hit. However, that was a bit late as a second shadowball came flying at him at full speed. He had no time to get out of the way of this one, so he quickly let loose his flames. His reaction coming a little short, resulting in an explosion that hit him indirectly. Admittedly, that stung a bit. Jak immediately rushed forward after the explosion in an attempt to catch the ice type off guard, preparing to bite down on it with jaws that contained a hellish inferno. Jak knew that the ice type can handle the attack… but was sure it was going to be painful.

| S.S. rushed through the fire, melting his armor nearly completely off in the process. However, he didn't remain in contact with the flames long enough to be harmed considering he was running right through them. The charizard just barely managed to move out of the way in time, having his spike come dangerously close to making contact. Varda had spoken up about the spike, but he doubted that had made much difference; Jak surely knew to watch out for any weapon he was using.
He didn't let up for even a second, forming a red Shadow Ball in front of him and firing it at the charizard. Avoided, as expected, but he was already preparing another one with his tail. He spun around and sent the orb flying, hoping to eventually catch Jak with his superior speed.... and he did. Sort of. It wasn't exactly a direct hit, but it was something. He paused for a moment, wondering if Jak could take even one indirect hit, but his question was quickly answered by the flaming jaws that were suddenly coming at him. He jumped back, but noticed he was much slower than usual.... due to his armor being gone. Ironically, extra weight made him faster. A lot faster.
He wasn't going to get out of the way. That bite was going to hurt, and he was going to have to take it. Well, he wasn't exactly worried about the pain, but he didn't want to take too much damage. However, it seemed that was unavoidable.... and he was actually happy for it. Jak had shrugged off one of his attacks and was about to hit him back, and this one was actually going to hurt him. Well, if he wasn't going to avoid it, the least he could do was to pay it back. He prepared his spike, waiting until the charizard was too close to get out of the way.... then he flung it. This wouldn't be stopped by fire; fire wouldn't have enough physical force to knock it away. More importantly, it was aimed at the dragon's chest, and this was for a very specific reason.
If Jak managed to keep going with a spike in him, then the glaceon was just going to have to take the hit. That was alright, though, as he was curious to see just how vincible he was to the charizard. He highly doubted the flaming mouth was going to do him in, but what level of damage would it cause? What level of damage would he need to repay? What little icy armor was left would be melted away by the fire, which was going to hurt, but more importantly.... that meant the teeth.... Physical attacks didn't do much to him thanks to his armor, but he doubted his actual body was durable enough to keep this dragon's teeth out.
But he had a plan. | |

| Jak 4 Status N/A
Jak came rushing through the explosion, mouth ablaze with flames. The spike the ice type held had left Jak’s mind briefly during his attack. This one mistake left him vulnerable as he got close to the ice type. Moments before he was in reach of the glaceon, the spike was hurled. Jak didn’t have any time to react to it, so instead… he forced himself through it as it stuck into him. The location of where it struck wasn’t the best place to have an object hit. Like a pin on a cacnea, the cursed spike stuck into his chest. As it so, Jak bit down on S.S's back, quickly throwing him towards the nearest wall. The flames completely surrounding his jaws as he did so. The makeshift nail didn't do as much as the glaceon had hoped. However, it is true that it was painful. After throwing the ice type, he began to rush towards the ice type for a close ranged flamethrower to da face

| The spike hit, and.... didn't really seem to do much to stop the fire-dragon. S.S. was now impressed, but this meant he was going to have to take the hit. He was careful to keep his head out of reach at all costs, but it seemed like Jak wasn't targeting his head in the first place. He felt the jaws latch onto his back, and despite suppressing his own pain response, he still instinctively gasped at the hit. He'd never actually been.... harmed in such a way.... it felt.... odd. He lifted a paw off the ground, hoping to hit the spike lodged in the charizard to do some more damage and maybe loosen the jaw-grip on him, but he was too slow.
The glaceon was immediately flung into a wall, slamming his side right into it. He heard the wall crack from the hit, though he wasn't sure if it was due to the old, weak foundation of the chateau, or Jak's strength. Either way, his body had seemingly been put through a bit of shock by the impact, as it was refusing his commands to move. He fell from the wall, just barely landing on his paws and forcing himself to stay standing. The charizard was already coming at him with more fire, and he was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to move out of the way, so he decided to do the only thing he could. He swung his bag around behind him to protect it from the fire and braced himself. The charizard reached him just moments later, and his legs still didn't want to move very fast, so he was forced to take the flamethrower head-on.
Some of the fire spread behind him, and while his bag was mostly protected, the wall he was still up against was not. It began to light on fire and quickly burn from the flames.... then he used all the energy he could muster to force himself backward into it. Thanks to the foundation being weakened by him hitting it and the fire burning into it, it was easy to break through. He landed in a new room and immediately darted out of the way of the fire, with the flames being cut and dying down shortly after. His fur was burned, and he had red marks on his back from the dragon's fangs.... Without his armor, they'd pierced him, as he'd figured they would. There wasn't much blood, though that was probably due to the wounds not being very large.
His bag fell to the ground at his side; the strap had burned and broken. This settled it, then.... he was going to get to use every trick he had. He was going to.... have to. He reached his injured paw into his bag, noticing as he did so that the bandaging around it had been burned and was falling off. He pulled a shining disk out of his bag and placed his paw on top of it on the ground. He then reached into his bag once more and took out yet another seed; however, he did not immediately use this one. He just stood there, his paw on the disk and his teeth gripping the seed as he waited for his opponent.
The latter item was.... perhaps overkill, but he was going to hold onto it, just in case he needed it. He'd just need to swallow.... and it would all be over.

| Varda was watching with bated breath as Pokémon he had come to consider his friends were fighting – and it was awful. His wings were in front of his face, yet his eyes were still peeking through his feathers, an occasional gasp escaping his beak. How had he agreed to this again? Why was this a good idea? It didn't look or feel good. His friends shouldn't be fighting! There were explosions and fire and, and…
"Aah, noo!" The bird called out when the sharp spike was used to strike the dragon Pokémon's flesh, the exact opposite of what he had wanted to happen! The spike was a bad idea, a really bad idea! It should have never even been used! But Jak… Didn't seem to be too bothered by it? The flying Pokémon didretaliate by throwing Sova off, which caused the wall to break!
Was it the sheer force of the attack or perhaps the wall was already rather weak – a possibility in the old, worn down mansion, especially considering that all the fire was starting to stick to the flammable objects. That… Was another thing Varda was starting to realize by now. At this rate, they all would be swallowed by the flames!
"No no! No more fighting! It has gone too far!" The Altaria chirped as he started to run towards the hole the Glaceon had been thrown into – and actually created with his own body, the Pokémon now in another room. "And, and no items! They're clearly bad!" He continued to speak and waved his wings around as if trying to get the attention of them both, as if a visual medium was better than a vocal one with all the fire around. The bird stopped, turning his gaze at Jak. If the Glaceon had become kind of… Odd, then it was Jak who could – and should – end this, right? They'd figure a better way to help Sova! "The fire might burn this house, too!"

| Jak 4 Status Minor Bleeding
After unleashing his torrent of flames, striking the ice type with them, he noticed the back wall catching fire. The wall seemed to partially collapse almost instantly, causing him to halt his attack. Perhaps he had gone too far? Now Jak was a bit worried… worried that he might have seriously injured the glaceon at this point. Jak remained still, waiting for the ice type to come into view. The fire along the wall slowly burnt itself out while a good portion remained intact. However, the spot where S.S had been, the wall was gone. An opening leading to the next room laid where the wall once was. As Jak watched for any movement, he heard Varda start speaking once again. After agreeing to the sparring match between him and the ice type, it would seem the bird was having second thoughts about it. The bird had been chirping rather loudly for them to stop. Jak only glanced towards the flying type briefly as it spoke. “I'm still kicking.” Jak stated as he looked at the spike which was embedded in his chest. It hadn’t gone too deep, but it was still painful. “Hmph…” He took the spike and pulled it out of his chest. This left him bleeding a little bit. A blood that seemed to have steam come off it due to his body temperature. His injury wasn’t too bad… merely a flesh wound. “How bout it… Fun's over?” he stated in a firm tone in the ice types direction. He was curious as to whether the fox would end it now, or continue. If it managed to continue, he wasn’t going to back down. However, he knew very well that the damage done was probably taking its toll on S.S. Even if he could ignore such injuries.

| Of all the insulting, infuriating things these two had done thus far.... this had to top it all. They seemed to think that they were in control, like they were making the rules or something here. S.S. was merely playing along for the sake of his own pleasure, and he wasn't going to stand for them thinking any differently. Specifically, the annoying bird, who felt important enough to make demands on how the battle would continue and even go so far as to say it WOULDN'T continue. Well, he'd already gone this far and made all these preparations....
....He wasn't going to let it all go to waste.
"I'll pass," he simply responded to the two before suddenly moving at a speed faster than what he'd been able to manage previously. It was so fast, in fact, that he would appear to literally teleport to anyone without the capabilities to follow such a speed. He even left behind an after-image of himself in his starting position. It was so fast that, well.... it took even him by surprise. He'd originally intended to get behind Jak, but overshot the dragon's position by a considerable amount and almost fell to the ground as he stopped. More importantly.... he now felt like his body was being pulled down toward the floor. Moving such a long distance using Double Team.... and on the first try.... had put a considerable drain on his energy. It was something he would have to avoid doing again.
This time only having to move a relatively short distance, he "teleported" once more, this time leaping into the air and spinning as fast as he could manage. His fur flash-froze once more and he began blowing icy mist as he spun, turning into an icy pinwheel of doom aimed straight at Jak. He wasn't holding back even an ounce of power; he was making his body and his breath as cold as he possibly could, regardless of the negative impact it would have on his body.

| Varda looked concerned as his eyes shifted from one Pokémon to another. Both were definitely hurt, but Jak… Well, Jak claimed to be fine, more or less, despite the spike in his chest. Which he pulled out. It was obvious that it had broken the skin, some blood trickling out. However, despite the Fire-type not saying that he had to stop due to his injuries, he seemed to be ready to stop. That made the Altaria happy, his concern turning into hope as a smile forced its way on his face, just positively beaming. In the middle of the spooky, ruined mansion. That had parts of it currently burning.
But the Glaceon didn't agree. He just stood there in the room for a moment… Well, a long moment. He didn't move at all! It was actually strange how still the Pokémon was, especially after the declaration of not wanting to stop. If the bird hadn't glanced to the side in his confusion, he never would have noticed that there was now another Glaceon in another part of the room!
Varda was puzzled. Were there two of them or was there two of Sova? ...In either case, it was confusing. There was one thing that wasn't confusing, though. The Altaria started to realize that this was just the continuation of the battle, no matter how strange it was turning out to be. And the Glaceon was going straight for Jak! "Aah! We have to stop him, Jak! Um… One of them! Both of them?"

| Jak 4 Status No Longer Mega Evolved Minor Bleeding Slowed Down
Jak frowned as the glaceon responded back with a pass on the stopping. This meant that the ice type meant to continue the battle, however when he saw the other piece of wall collapse from where he was hiding. The wall he was using as a get away from the flames earlier. He saw the image slightly flicker as the ice type practically vanished. Jak turned around to see the ice type behind him. What!? He's behind me!? Jak thought in shock. This ice type just got a huge speed boost somehow. The big question to him was how? There wasn’t much to think at this moment as he had a nasty feeling he was going to attempt to attack him. Quickly, he started to move to the side despite seeing the image standing still. Just as he started moving, he saw a flash of an image as an icy mist spun in a circle at him at an extremely alarming rate of speed. He was now only half way out of the way, no time to launch his flames, nor enough time to finish getting out of the way. He was going to get hit. Being knocked to the side as ice formed along one side of his body; this caused him to flinch in pain as the impact irritated his previous injury caused by the silver spike. Before Jak even had a moment to himself, the glaceon was attacking once more, this time ramming into his belly. Having no time to react this time caused him to receive a direct hit. After the hit, and being able to hold against these attacks, his current form wasn't going to last long. It was a matter of time he would lose it, and that time was now up. The stone began to glow again as the invisible connection between him and the stone was severed in a small flash of light. His form changed back to a normal charizard. The ice that had previously formed on him shattered instantly as the process occurred. Jak was mentally cursing as this happened, realizing that he wasn't going to be able to hold out against S.S in his normal form at this point.

| The attack had succeeded, albeit it wasn't a direct hit. The glaceon spun to the ground and just barely managed to land on his paws, stumbling backward before shaking off the dizziness. He immediately darted back in front of and into the charizard once more, not letting up for even a moment. He targeted the dragon's belly, figuring it to be a weak point as the belly was usually a weak point in pretty much anything. He was hitting hard with intent for harm, but.... when the charizard suddenly reverted back to his normal form.... S.S. paused his onslaught in surprise. This wasn't quite what he'd expected, and honestly, he was a bit disappointed.
The heat in the air began to fade away and his own body temperature was able to drop the temperature around him once more, though there were no visible effects from this just yet. "Oooh, that's too bad! And just when it was starting to get fun, too! Just when you were about to "stop me," right?" he mocked the charizard's new form failing. "Then we can have fun later... if you like this so much." the dragon huffed, still acting as if he were in charge.
"Ah well, no use stalling it out then," he continued, lifting his left paw in a shrugging gesture. He gave another maniacal giggle before darting behind the charizard, leaving behind yet another afterimage.
The fox darted forward with his spiked fur, aiming to just brush by Jak's side and give some unpleasant scratches rather than going for a direct hit. As the spiked fur made contact, the dragon roared with displeasure. As it did so, a ball of light formed near its jaws as it prepared some kind of attack. It was hard to tell what it was based just off this, but whatever it was, he was going to meet this challenge. Rather than trying to simply avoid it, he took in a deep breath and prepared to counter the attack with Frost Breath.

| The plan of stopping Sova wasn't going so good – especially when he was looking like he was much too quick to even be followed with eyes alone! Another surprise came in the shape of a bright flash, causing Varda to gasp as the dragon-like Pokémon's body was surrounded by light… And then, yet again, his form shifted. But this one was no a new form, no. It was an old one, the one Jak had had some time ago. That was odd – the bird had never heard of a Pokémon devolving! Maybe he had been exhausted by the fight?
The Altaria spread his wings. He didn't really know what to do, but… He had to do something, right? He took flight despite his injuries, doing his best to try to ignore them for a while. The Glaceon was at it again, trying to hurt Jak. What could they do to get Sova back?! He was still sure that his earlier plan of the forbidden technique would work, but he would have to somehow get close enough to the Pokémon to do it, which was impossible…
Except. He remembered. The technique of his family that had been used in situations like these. Turning the tide of battle when they have been weakened or their foes strengthened beyond their wildest dreams. He had used it before, and maybe, just maybe… It would work here!
Varda flapped his wings and rose further up in the air, the cloud-like feathers starting to twinkle when the light from the flames managed to hit them. Something started to fall from them, being quite difficult to see at first due to them being very tiny, icy crystals. But soon there was more of them, the air growing thicker with the sparkling haze that just might have been enough to show where the Glaceon was going…

| Jak 4 Status Minor Bleeding Stressed
Jak heard the ice type mock his previous words about him stopping it, stating that the whole thing was just starting to get fun. "Then we can have fun later… if you like this so much" Jak huffed in annoyance. However, even with the offer to continue later, it didn’t seem to please S.S. It seemed that the fox blatantly ignored his comment, stating that there was no point in stalling anymore. At this point, the image of the fox froze as a pain erupted on his side, he roared with displeasure as he turned around. A white ball of energy was forming just ahead of his jaws. Jak used his built up anger, taking in other sources that would bring out more of his rage. Jak put it all into his attack... Dragon's Rage. Once the energy was built up, he quickly released the energy. Jak fired the beam, straight towards his opponent. Not once did he see the fox move from its spot. This caused two small thoughts that worried him. One being whether or not the ice type would be able to take such a hit. The other questioning why S.S just stood there instead of avoiding the attack. During those silent thoughts, the beam of energy was practically split all around a single point, no longer being focused in a solid beam. "That's why..."The energy spread outward from the point of contact from some opposing force. The beam had only made it roughly half way towards its intended target.
