Flashes of Fire and Sparks of Lightning! Akuroma vs. Brian in the dark forest!

Akuroma stretched as he entered the dark woods of Shadowhue Forest, still trying to get used to his new form from evolving into Gallade. He enjoyed seeing Ned back in Pecha Forest, and meeting Arietta was quite nice, but perhaps some peace and quiet alone would do good for his training. He spent little time in his thoughts before he went to work, his fist erupting into electricity as he began to run forward.

Jumping up, the Gallade swung his first down onto a tree in front of him, smashing through to the other side. The tree creaked and groaned as it began to fall, interrupting the silence of the forest around him. Akuroma smirked to himself as he stared at his fist. One thing he was loving about his new form was how powerful it was compared to being a Kirlia. It would prove useful in his research and his thievery.

Another Pokemon had entered the forest as well, with it being the energetic Chimchar, Brian. With the flame on his tail illuminating the area a little bit, he began wandering through the dark areas of Shadowhue. "Man, this place brings back memories.  I thought this place was dull when I first explored the area, but then things got a lot more fun  when that guy appeared. Hope he's okay..." Brian said, reminiscing about his previous journey through the forest.

"Who knows? Maybe something even more interesting will happen this time.  Well, there's only one way to find out and that's to keep on moving forward." Brian said as he continued walking, awaiting whatever he would encounter in the shrouded forest.

Energy: 24 - 10 = 14

Akuroma continued his training in the forest, his attacks on the trees allowing sunlight to begin to hit the forest floor for the first time in many years. It was a welcome sight for the Gallade. He'd be able to see much better now with sunlight brightening up part of the forest. At least he wouldn't have to use Thunder Punch as a light in the immediate area. However his arm was becoming a bit sore, so the Gallade decided it was time for a break from training, and what better way to take a break than to find some poor Pokémon to relieve items from?

As he continued to walk through the dark forest, Brian began to hear something in the distance. It sounded like a tree was getting hit by something powerful. He also saw what looked like a little flash as well, indicating that maybe there was a move being used. "Wonder what's over there? Guess I'll check it out," Brian said before he started running off towards where he saw the flashing light, curious as to what was gonna be over there. Maybe it could be a new potential friend, or someone he's already met. Who knows?

Akuroma stretched a bit as he began to walk through the forest, his horn twitching as he tried to sense someone nearby. Knowing his luck he'd probably end up running into Mirage again, which wouldn't really be so bad now that he thought about it. Either way, he wanted someone he could steal from, not steal with. He then began to sense something. A curious little Pokémon by what he could tell, and it was heading straight for him. He smirked to himself as continued to walk along the path, waiting to run into the curious Pokémon who should hopefully have some interesting items on their person.

Brian kept up the pace as he ran, not wanting to let his curious mind leave this forest without knowing what that sound was. This pattern seemed to be the norm for Brian at this point. He hears or sees something and then runs over to it. He just couldn't really help himself. The curiosity that filled his mind made him want to see all that he can in this world, no matter what it is. So if something peaks this curiosity, then whether it was beneficial to him or not, he had to go check it out. Though Brian didn't seem to mind his thought process as it's allowed him to meet several interesting Pokemon along the way.

Akuroma soon saw a light heading towards him in the forest. It appeared that this was the Pokémon he had chosen to steal from, and to his delight it was that gullible happy-go-lucky Chimchar from Blackmist. Without an exploration team around to protect the chimp, Akuroma could steal whatever he chose from him. It should be quite an easy steal, so long as his new form doesn't betray him as he escapes.

Brian continued running, getting closer and closer to where he heard the sound was. Eventually, he began to see a tall figure in the distance. He couldn't tell what it was from his current position, but Brian had a good hunch that whatever it was made that sound that caused him to run all the way over here. Well, not exactly cause it, but just spark his never ending curiosity. Either way, this just encouraged Brian to run faster so he could finally who or what it was.

Before he could get much farther, something dashed right past him. It looked like a deer Pokemon of some sort, and it completely ignored Brian as if he wasn't even there. It seemed like the deer was focused on the figure in the distance and not him for some reason. "Why is that Pokemon going over to that guy and ignoring me?" Brian thought as he continued his run towards the figure.

Akuroma smirked as the Stantler approached him, the Pokemon charging at him for destroying part of the forest. Throwing his arm back, Akuroma stood there, letting the Stantler get close before he threw his fist at it. Right before he made contact with the Stantler, Akuroma's fist erupted into electricity, the Thunder Punch slamming right into the Stantler's face and sending it flying back. The Stantler wasn't alone, though, as an Ariados jumped out at Akuroma from the trees. The Gallade groaned as the Pokemon landed on him, snapping at him with its mandibles.

Brian was nearly at the area that the deer had run too, when suddenly another group of Polemon came out of nowhere and started chasing him. They didn't seem focused on whatever the deer Pokemon was, as their attention was completely on Brian. Not that this was a bad thing though. Sure, it may prevent him from getting where he needed to go for a while, but he could never pass up a good fight. "4 against 1 huh? I like these odds." Brian said confidently as he stopped running and turned around to face the group in battle.

However, that battle would have to wait until another time. Right before he engaged the enemy, the deer Pokemon that had ran ahead suddenly flew back against a nearby tree. It seemed to have been launched by something, and Brian predicted that it must have been a move that launched it as the deer seemed to be knocked out. Upon seeing this, the beetle, small shrub, and tree like Pokemon turned the opposite direction and ran off, seemingly scared as they saw another Pokemon defeated so easily. "Wow, whoever is over there must be strong. This is getting exciting!" Brian said as he dashed onward, the figure now in sight.

Energy: 14 - 10 = 4

Akuroma reached behind him, grabbing the Ariados by its head. He threw the bug type off of him, "I'd run if I were you," he said as his fists sparked into electricity. The Ariados ignored his suggestion, skittering towards him as its forelegs began to glow an eerie purple, the bug type using Poison Jab. The Gallade charged forward, his electrified fists slamming right into the Ariados' Poison Jab. The two glared at each other as each pushed, trying to gain ground against the other. Akuroma then grabbed the Ariados' forelegs, swinging the Pokemon over him and onto its back. He then stomped on the Pokemon's abdomen, causing the Ariados to cough and sputter for a moment before becoming limp.

Akuroma turned away, beginning to walk down the forests path again as he pulled out a sitrus berry and munched on it.

After a little more running, Brian had finally reached the area where the fighting was taking place. When he finally got a chance to see what he'd been missing, what he saw surprised him. A bunch of Pokemon laid unconscious on the ground, each with very visible injuries. "Whatever happened while I was running here mustn't have been too fun for these guys..." Brian thought before his attention shifted to the figure he had saw before. Feeling like whoever it was must have had some influence on this battle, he walked towards the figure and began calling out to it.

"Hey, you over there. Did you fight these beaten up guys over here?" Brian said bluntly, getting right to the point he was curious about.

Akuroma looked over at the approaching Chimchar, his fists gaining an eerie green glow, "What if I did?" The Gallade stared at the Chimchar, looking for anything he might have that would be useful. Akuroma frowned, not seeing anything other than the Chimchar's bag. For all he knew, it was empty, making it useless. However, the rest of the Pokemon he just fought didn't have anything on them at all, so Akuroma would have to take the risk of another fight if he wanted to get any sort of payment out of it.

"Oh, I was just curious. I heard and saw some stuff over here so I knew something was going on. Since those guys are unconscious and there's no one else here, I assumed that you were the only one who could have done that but I wanted to make sure. Meeting strong Pokemon is cool to me." Brian said innocently, grinning as he did. Now that he saw what the Pokemon was, he recognized it as a Gallade, having seen them in one of his villages fighting tournament's. They had both excellent physical prowess along psychic abilities, making them fierce competitors...or at least that's what he remembered the announcer saying. Getting a chance to potentially befriend such a seemingly strong Pokemon was an idea that Brian wouldn't pass up.

Akuroma smirked, "So you like meeting strong Pokemon, eh? In that case," the Gallade suddenly disappeared, reappearing next to the Chimchar and grabbing his bag before reappearing up in the tree branches. "I'll take this as payment for letting you meet me," the Gallade said. He then jumped onto another branch beginning to escape through the forest.
