Dystopian RP Sign Ups

A world where everyone obeys a single organization. Constantly monitored, constantly happy, and constantly working for the sake of benefitting everyone. Everyone is the same. Everyone is happy. Everyone is happy with their jobs, and everyone does it all for the sake of The Ministers and everyone else. However, things seem to be a bit...odd. There is no wars, no fights, not even amonst siblings there is conflict. Everyone lives the same life, in cities that are the same, and nobody seems to leave their cities willingly. Something is rather...off about these cities. Thought its not quite known or noticed except by those above, the gods.

Once a year, some Divine intervention occurs, and a few people are selected to be...released. Released from what you ask? A spell. What spell? A hypnosis. Two gods have been enslaved by the ministers, and are being used to control the world and rob people and pokemon alike within the confines of civilization of free will.

One night, several humans were selected by the gods, and dragged from their homes and into the wilderness. There, they were released from the spell and they regain their own personalities that was denied to them since birth. They are chosen and given pokemon to the hopefully to-be heroes that will succeed this time! Seeing as the heroes of the past seemed to have...uh...failed in many many horrible ways. Will they do it? Who knows! How? Who knows? Gods don't care, they've got years upon years to fix this mess. Why worry? When heroes are expendable.

Explanation
Name: Pretty Obvious
Age: Nothing below 14 and nothing above 20
Awakened Personality: Their true personality, when under the spell everyone is forced to have the same personality of being kind loving and caring to everyone, so now that the spell is released, what's their REAL personality?
Appearance: Pic or words, i don't care, just no special "I HAVE BLUE HAIR NATURALLY AND DIFFERENT COLORED EYES BECAUSE IM SPECIAL :D" People can still get accessories and tattoos and such in the city though.
History: I don't expect some amazing fifteen paragraph essay, just mention some events that happened that might trigger some kind of phobia, some kind of scar, ect. Drunken parents are a nono, slavery is a no-no, no substance abuse. Perfect families, perfect lifestyles. Very few differences are between the lives of the characters, just think of socities ideal modern family and you're good.

Fears: They will not know of their own fears yet, since all they know is what the utopia has given them. They will not know they're afraid of the dark, they will not know they're afraid of spiders, they just don't know what actually scares them. However, put down what their fears WILL be.

Pokemon
Pokemon are in the society, but each person gets one pokemon at the age of 20 at random. That pokemon is to assist them in their daily lives and their jobs. There are still wild pokemon but they are not under the control of the society, once a wild pokemon enters the city, it becomes under the spell's control. Characters can befriend wild pokemon, but they're not protected from the spell of the city nor catch them in things like pokeballs since they don't have any. People are free to spawn things as they please so long as they're not doing things like suddenly dragonite coming to wreck everyone's nice things, because I can take away those nice things easily.

Character's pokemon
These pokemon are given to the characters by the patron god, and can evolve at any point in time and are free to use any move from their level ups, however tutors must have another pokemon in the team(all of the rpers in the rp) that can learn the move via level up teach them the move. Egg Moves are limited to one of your choice. TMs must be obtained via RP, there may be points where I allow everyone to choose a TM of their choice, i'm not sure on this.

How The Society Works
Basically the modern world with 0 problems. Everything looks normal except Unemployment rate is 0, everyone can afford everything perfectly fine, and everyone has the same income and amount of money. Everyone is happy with their lives, but can still feel disappointment and forget things. They think they're choosing what to do and everything is fine thanks to the ministers, but they do not know that they are under the spell.

Name:Daneel Akerman

Age: 17

Awakened Personality: Now freed from the curse, Daneel is still quite mellow, with a "if it doesn't concern me, I couldn't care less" attitude. This does not make him lazy, rather, there are just few things out there that can grab or deserve his attention. On that note, he enjoys the small things in life, often going outside for a leisurely stroll, or people-watching. He is good at controlling his emotions, and they rarely get the better of him, making it difficult to guess what he is thinking until it becomes more than apparent. He should not be mistaken for being rude. Daneel is just brutally honest, and wouldn't change his actions or his words for the sake of others.

History: Daneel had a pretty average city life, just like everyone else. The only notable thing was that he dropped out of high school in his senior year to help run the family cafe (he had B's and A's, so it wasn't a major issue). He was going to help run it once he graduated anyway. Several weeks later, there was a small gas leak within the walls of the kitchen. When Daneel went to turn on the lights, the spark lit the gas, causing a miniature explosion. When he came to, the whole cafe was on fire. With help from Midi, his father's Kangaskhan, he was able to escape the burning building with only a few lacerations on his nose, cheeks, and the side of his jaw. Although they don't make him look disfigured, they've never healed fully. The fire department soon arrived to put out the fire, and thanks to the friendly community and the Ministers, the cafe was rebuilt in less than half a year.

Fire- thanks to the cafe incident, Daneel is very wary around fires, keeping his distance from them, as well as fire-type pokemon

Sudden, loud noises- also due to the incident, Daneel gets spooked whenever he hears a sudden, loud noise, such as thunder or fireworks. He does his best to keep this fear hidden, but he still flinches every time.

Comforts:
Sunbathing- Whether it be sitting on a bench or laying in the grass, he loves the feeling of the sun on his skin. It relaxes him, and often, puts him to sleep.

Tea of all kinds- With his family working at a cafe, it isn't a major surprise that Daneel found a liking for tea. Be it herbal, berry, hot, or cold, it doesn't matter to him.

Additional Inforation: Yes, Daneel does have that fancy watch thing on his right wrist. It tell him the date, the time, and also has a stopwatch and an alarm function.

Chosen Personality: Ironically enough, Numel has a similar, "I do what I want" personality as Daneel. It is incredibly loyal, following Daneel everywhere he goes (to Daneel's annoyance). It moves about almost lazily, but it the heat of battle, Numel becomes lively and energetic, even if it's still a little slow.

Awakened Personality:

Lilian is a kind soul. She wants to help people and pokemon more than anything in the world, and she holds an intense desire to be a hero and to do something amazing instead of just pass through life. But she is also not very confident in herself; she has constant doubts about her abilities and often believes that she does not have the capabilities to do something, often causing her to fail at what she believes she cannot do, even if she does have the ability to do so. She fears above all that she will become evil or bad, for no real reason at all other than her own doubts about herself.

Lilian has had your typical life for this society. Her parents were typical parents; her mother is an english teacher and her father works a paper-pushing job at one of the corporations in the city. Lilian has one older brother named Michael, who works at the postal service now. Lilian's mother has a Noctowl for her pokemon, and her father's pokemon is a porygon2. Her brother's pokemon is a wingull. Lilian hopes for a janitorial job and a squirtle to go with it, but little does she know that she actually hates cleaning up after people.

Fuzzy is a super protective pokemon. If anyone tries to harm his human, they'll have to go through him and his iron tail first. He is extremely loyal, though he isn't really a fan of the name Lilian chose for him. He thinks Lilian can be a little thick-headed sometimes, especially when she gets it into her head that she can't do something, and will do his best to make her come to her senses when she does.

I'm going to wait to decide my pokemon, seeing as Pancham can only evolve if there's a dark-type in our group. Plus, Torkoal and Numel are good choices.

Nah you don't need the requirements to evolve the pokemon here, they're god-made pokemon, they defy normal rules of pokemon to an extent xD I was planning on waiting until the RP started, but this seems to be a bit more important to an extent.

Rui was a quiet girl, and even under the Spell a very, nearly overly so, caring person. Despite the caring and quiet bits though, she takes a odd kind of 'fun' from fighting. Sometimes so much so, it scares her. She can sometimes come off as 'zoning out' or 'vapid', and this is sometimes the case. Ultimately, she is a loyal friend, and overly protective of Pokemon and her 'friends'. Probably to the point of taking a bullet for them.

History:
Two Parents; Rove and Dia Transcendia, One alive Grandparent; Ellie Transcendia (The other, John 'The John' Johnson Transcendia expired peacefully and happily against loved ones in their own bed.). Their family tradition has been to among the Daycare and Poke'Centers(Hospitals, Assuming Poke'Centers do not exist.). And as such, Rui was raised in a loving (Even more so then the general attitude.) household. However, when Rui was a wee child, about the age of four, a Spinark wandered in from the wilderness, and although under the spell, Rui still saw it on her window, silhouetted by the moonlight. Freaked her out to say the least, however under the spell, she was merely uncomfortable around Spider-Like Pokemon since, but now.... Without the spell's calming effects, who knows what will happen?

The slight fear of Insect Type Pokemon - Her 'encounter' with the Spinark, really impacted her psyche. (About 25-50% of the first fear, depending on the Pokemon.)

The Color of Pink (Light, Soft, But not Neon.)- Having grown up around Her mother, a nurse, she has associated the color with the calming and happy presence of her mother, with the color.
Going for a Run - While not a athlete she enjoys going about on 'runs' (Jogging, Running, and walking around the city.) and seeing the sights and slightly spacing out during it.

In High School, Average Athletic, Sub-Par Math skills. (Nothing beyond Basic Algebra.), Average Reading ability, learned some minor nursing things from her mother.

Umi is, at her core, a fairly caring Pokemon. The similarity between her, and her human, makes Umi feel a kinship for Rui. Though on her surface, Umi is more of a impish type, finding humor in 'glomming' onto Rui. More often than not, in the form of riding on her head or shoulder. And also playing fairly minor pranks on her, and other Pokemon, these pranks would never escalate beyond simple minor pranks however. Her 'core' self still cares for them. Her loyalty to Rui is moderated by Rui's fear of Umi, and the fact she believes that humans don't 'always' have the answer.

Name: Senna Meadows
Age: 18
Awakened Personality: Senna is a rather laid-back individual who almost never seems to display any sort of stress. She's always trying to make the most of things, never taking anything for granted but at the same time not always taking everything seriously. That said, the one thing that will break her laid-back attitude is if someone she cares about is harmed in any way. Beware the wrath of an angered Senna as she will stop at nothing to protect those she is closest to. Senna comes across as a confident and carefree individual, one who believes she can do anything if she sets her mind to it. However, this trait also makes her somewhat reckless when she ought to be more cautious.

History:
Senna grew up with a happy family like most others. Her mother, Sorcha Meadows, is a graphic designer who works from home, whereas her father, Ethan Meadows, is a firefighter in the local fire department. She had a pretty average life with average grades, though Senna would often help out in various places as a way of gaining work experience as she wasn't entirely sure what sort of career she wanted to go into yet.
The only notable thing that happened to her was a freak accident near the edge of the city when she was 12. She was thrown out of the city and in trying to return only gets lost outside of it. Attempting to return, she encountered a rather aggressive Glalie that was taking advantage of the chilly winter air to expand it's territory. It attacked her with it's icy moves, not appreciating her intrusion, causing her limbs to freeze. The spell over her managed to keep her calm despite the situation she was in and she managed to run away after a small struggle, escaping from the Glalie. This didn't change the fact that she was now freezing cold and her body couldn't return her to her normal temperature because of the ice clinging to her. She collapsed outside the city and would have frozen to death had she not been found and saved by a deforestation quad and their pokemon.
Senna was brought back to the city where she recovered from the incident and took up her normal activities once again, the spell preventing her from being affected by it.
Patron Legend: Latios

Fears:
Ice Types/Extremely Cold Temperatures - Due to the incident in Senna's youth, she has a fear of ice type pokemon brought on by the fact that she was nearly killed by one. She also dislikes cold temperatures and will wrap up in multiple layers to keep out the cold so she doesn't feel scared by it.

Comforts:
Warmth - Especially after the incident in her youth where she nearly froze to death, Senna likes things that are warm, and as such prefers sunny summers over cold winters and soft fur over hard skin.
Exploring - Although put off from cold areas, Senna enjoys exploring and learning about new things and places, which is part of the reason why she attempted to do so many different things through work experience. This also applies to the physical act of exploring a new place once the spell is lifted as she finds the idea exciting.
The smell of good cooking - It reminds her of her family and parents, as her mother was a damn good cook and would make home made meals every day that Senna would often help with.
Additional Information: None I can think of, other than she has a bunch of random skills picked up from all her work experience, as well as being pretty decent at cooking and drawing thanks to her mother passing on her skills.

Chosen Personality Excitable and energetic, Growlithe is a perfect match for Senna. He is extremely curious about new things and will happily follow Senna's whims of exploration. As with most Growlithe, he is also very protective of his trainer and friends.

Name: Gale Kantian
Age: 19 (20 three days after awakening)
Awakened Personality: Gale is the headstrong type that isnt afraid to butt heads with anyone who he disagrees vehemently with, both physically and metaphorically. He fights for his beliefs and is a rather loud type. He is rather outgoing, isnt afraid to talk to a stranger. However he likes to mess with people a bit and twist them the wrong way. Its all fun and games however, for if he goes a bit too far he would feel horrible. He has a rather negative reaction to anger, if you raise your voice at him, he'll raise his voice at you. You throw a punch, he throws a wrecking ball at you.

History: Led a rather normal life, the perfect family with an older sister his dad worked as a Pokemon Surgeon, providing eye exams for pokemon and any surgeries needed, while his mother worked in the major library of the city. His grades were excellent, and he graduated and began life in college. No major events happened to him, the night of him being whisked away having been after a party to celebrate his upcoming birthday, teens were being teens and partying like normal, no beer, no drugs, just an honest clean party. The party lasted quite a while however, and he had passed out after being knocked in the face by a heavy object being tossed in his direction on accident. He was knocked out, and when he awoke, a big cat was staring at him in the face. Fun.

Failure: A huge drive for this young man, when he sees that he is about to fail, he might freeze up just a little-lot.

Jokes: When he's nervous, he'll try to crack jokes in attempt to relieve himself. (shut up I can't think of anything)

Chosen Personality Similar to Gale, this little Cranidos is rather adamant and stubborn. He needs a trainer just as stubborn as he is in order to be trained properly, and he has a habit of bashing into those he finds he doesn't like as soon as possible and let them know that he doesn't like them.

Name: Miles Asch
Age: 16
Awakened Personality: With the spell lifted, Miles genuinely has no idea what to do with himself now that he actually has control over himself. Due to this, he's become almost zombie-like. Almost never speaking and instead staying quiet, he simply observes others and tries to stay to the back. Being unused to conflict, if any should come up, he's more likely to try and run away, unless forced to stay or any sorts of friends are staying back. He usually tries his best to make friends with others, at least to the best of his ability and hopefully without a lot of socializing, trying to cling to the sense of unity he had while under the spell, and when in a group if he has anything to say he'll usually pick one person to whisper to and ask them to share for him, not wanting to talk much. As time goes on, he's still trying to develop his own personality, and figure out who he is, looking to try and come out of his shell a bit.

History: Being the youngest of three children, Miles grew up with two older siblings and both parents, spending plenty of time with them. While both parents worked simple but busy office jobs, whenever they had time, they tried to spend it hanging around with their children. On one such occasion, Miles' father took him out into the city, but when crossing a more crowded portion, the boy became lost. Unable to find his father, he ended up wandering around for a while, until finally sitting down somewhere and waiting. After a few hours it started to rain, and he eventually found his way back to his parent with the help of some others in the city, and life went back to normalcy. In school, Miles was a fairly forgetful person, and while he tried his best, he still forgot some of his work on occasion. This also included forgetting things when he spoke publicly to the class, which led to some moments where he would start speaking and freeze up, not remembering what it was he was going to say. Other then that, he had an average life just like anyone else around would.

Fears:
-Crowded areas: While he couldn't feel it while under the spell, after the incident where he was lost in the city, he's very fearful of being in crowded areas surrounded by too many people, or other things.
-Getting lost: Same as before basically, from his history, he's become paranoid of ending up lost. He's fine with being on his own if he knows where he is, it's strictly if he's lost and doesn't know where he is.
-Being out from under the spell: Once the spell is lifted, he will not really cope well with being responsible for his own decisions.
-Speaking: After his various forgetful moments in school, he's grown a fear of speaking in public or with others.
Comforts:
-Familiar things(be it an item, a person, anything with familiarity): With everything changing on him, what with the spell being lifted and such, he feels a need for anyone or anything familiar to him to give him a sense of stability.
-Rain/Overcast weather: Having associated overcast weather with comfort after he found his dad again once it started raining, he's become fond of that sort of weather and finds a sense of comfort in it.
-Anything with rhythm: It can be music, poetry, just tapping his fingers, a heartbeat, anything. The non-changing beat helps him breathe easier and calm himself, and also provides some stability,

Chosen Personality To put it simply, Noibat is a sort of mama bear kind of pokemon. She's caring and tries her best to fill in for Miles as a source of comfort and protection, doing her best to help him and any other friends or teammates that they come across, unless she distrusts them. If anybody tries to harm Miles or anyone friendly with him, she'll practically go berserk and jump to the attack on whatever's causing harm.

Name: Rinya Ormin
Age: 18
Awakened Personality: Rinya cares; she cares about everything a whole dang lot, but she doesn't want to care. She's a very emotional person, but she tries to hold it in. Often, her repression drives her to anger and she can't help but lash out. She sees the world as a mean, inescapable place and she's afraid to get attached to any part of it because of what it might do to her. She often gets angry at herself for wanting to care and be emotionally connected with other people, and she gets angry at other people for making her want to care about them. Anger is her go-to reaction in most situations, but the ammount of anger she physically displays depends on the situation, how angry/emotionally disturbed she is, and when her last outburst was. She feels incredibly guilty over her bad temper, as she knows it brings pain to others, and she will often cry over the guilt. Her anger and emotional distress actually makes her a very practive person, often trying to take everything on and do it on her own out of the sheer NEED for something to do (partially as a release for her inner turmoil); she is only ever calm when she somehow finds herself happy by some miracle. If she lets herself be happy, that is.

History: Rinya, the middle child of her 3 siblings, was the only hardy child born to a family of frail individuals. Her grandparents had all died of illness before she was even born. Rinya's father, whom she grew very attached to, was a very hardworking carpenter. He always worked through his illness, and little Rinya loved to watch him building his latest creations. One day, when she entered his studio, she found him slumped over his work desk, dead from the flu. It took over 6 hours for them to be found, people only noticing something was wrong when Rinya's father didn't bring her home for dinner. The death of her father failed to affect Rinya due to the spell, and when he died she just became deeply attached to another family member: her big brother. He was around four years older than her and a swimming star at the high school he went to, which Rinya began attending as well when she was old enough. Rinya was a smart girl, a high intelligence individual, but her grades were never great because she was prone to growing quite bored with school. The higher-ups in the society noticed this, and moved her up to her brother's college at the begining of her sophomore year while she was still 16, allowing her to spend time and bond more with her frail brother. In college, Rinya's brother continued to swim and was granted a Jolteon as his pokemon. The Jolteon and Rinya attended her brother's swim meets together. At one particular meet, Rinya's brother began having heart problems in the water, a problem that doctors had originally thought was related to his lungs. The Jolteon noticed his struggle and jumped into the water to save him, electrocuting everyone in the pool to death. After Rinya's brother died, she became attached to her mother, who had been diagnosed with tuberculosis after her sister's birth. Her mother succumbed to the disease two years later on the eve of her wedding anniversary, leaving Rinya only with her little sister/most treasured family member of them all, who is currently in the hospital dying of a brain tumor.

Fears: Loss (she hates to lose things, even physical objects, as she feels they take parts of her with her when they go), Emotional Attachment (attachment just means she'll lose more when things finally end), Fate (she hates the idea of fate; she feels trapped by the destiny of failure and she'd rather burn herself at the steak then have to keep living in a state of constantly losing things and being manipulated)
Comforts: The Sky (the only constant thing her constantly dreary world, though she knows that one day even it will end with everything else), Dreaming/Daydreaming (the only way for to get to a world that doesn't suck), Fighting (the only way to make a world that doesn't suck), Death (the only way to escape a world that sucks)

His reality makes him sad, and so he cheers himself up by either creating illusions to escape it or tormenting other people in order to take out his frustration. He often feels like nobody loves him.
